        울금(鬱金)에서 분리된 demethoxycurcumin이 백서의 혈관재협착에 미치는 효과

        The pathobiologic process of arterial stenosis following balloon angioplasty continues to be an enigmatic problem in clinical settings. This study investigates the ability of demethoxycurcumin, a curcuminoid isolated from Radix Curcumae, to attenuate balloon injury-induced neointima(NI) formation in the rat carotid artery. It was found that demethoxycurcumin induced inducible heme oxygenase(HO-1) expression and inhibited dose-dependently cellular proliferation in rat vascular smooth muscle cells. Perivascular application of demethoxycurcumin immediately following injury significantly reduced NI area and NI thickness 2 weeks post-injury. Interestingly, treatment with tin-protoporphyrin IX, a HO inhibitor, reversed the effects of demethoxycurcumin on NI formation. These results implicate demethoxycurcumin as a potent new therapeutic agent that is capable of reducing post-angioplasty arterial stenosis through induction of the HO-1 expression.

      • Hypoxia-Responsive MicroRNA-101 Promotes Angiogenesis <i>via</i> Heme Oxygenase-1/Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Axis by Targeting Cullin 3

        <P>Aims: Hypoxia induces expression of various genes and microRNAs (miRs) that regulate angiogenesis and vascular function. In this study, we investigated a new functional role of new hypoxia-responsive miR-101 in angiogenesis and its underlying mechanism for regulating heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression. Results: We found that hypoxia induced miR-101, which binds to the 3 ' untranslated region of cullin 3 (Cul3) and stabilizes nuclear factor erythroid-derived 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) via inhibition of the proteasomal degradation pathway. miR-101 overexpression promoted Nrf2 nuclear accumulation, which was accompanied with increases in HO-1 induction, VEGF expression, and endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS)-derived nitric oxide (NO) production. The elevated NO-induced S-nitrosylation of Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 and subsequent induction of Nrf2-dependent HO-1 lead to further elevation of VEGF production via a positive feedback loop between the Nrf2/HO-1 and VEGF/eNOS axes. Moreover, miR-101 promoted angiogenic signals and angiogenesis both in vitro and in vivo, and these events were attenuated by inhibiting the biological activity of HO-1, VEGF, or eNOS. Moreover, these effects were also observed in aortic rings from HO-1(+/-) and eNOS(-/-) mice. Local overexpression of miR-101 improved therapeutic angiogenesis and perfusion recovery in the ischemic mouse hindlimb, whereas antagomiR-101 diminished regional blood flow. Innovation: Hypoxia-responsive miR-101 stimulates angiogenesis by activating the HO-1/VEGF/eNOS axis via Cul3 targeting. Thus, miR-101 is a novel angiomir. Conclusion: Our results provide new mechanistic insights into a functional role of miR-101 as a potential therapeutic target in angiogenesis and vascular remodeling. Antioxid.         혈액암환자에서 조혈모세포 이식 후 따르는 헤르페스 바이러스 감영 양상

        배경 : 헤르페스바이러스과에는 단순포진 바이러스(HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS, HSV), 수두대상포진 바이러스 (VARICELLA-ZOSTER VIRUS, VZV), 엡스타인-바 바이러스 (EPSTEIN-BARR VIRUS, EBV), 그리고 거대세포 바이러스 (CYTOMEGALOVIRUS, CMV) 등이 있다. 헤르페스바이러스 감염은 혈액암환자에서 조혈모세포 이식 환자에서 전파 (dissemination), 이차감염, 세균 중복 감염의 심각한 합병증을 일으킬 수 있다. 하지만 항암약물치료를 받는 림파종 환자에서 항 바이러스 약제의 사용 용량과 기간에 대한 concensus는 없다. 헤르페스바이러스 감염에 대한 발생율과 위험인자를 후향성으로 분석하였다. 방법 : 고신대학교 복음 병원에서 1995년 6월부터 2009 년 2월 사이에 새롭게 진단되어 조혈모세포 이식을 받은 전체 58명의 환자들이 후향적으로 현 연구에 등록했다. 헤르페스 바이러스 감염은 임상적 진단, 혈청학적 검사 또는 병리학적 진단에 기초하여 확진한다. 환자들의 특성은 다음과 같다: 평균 연령은 44세 (범위 19-62세)였고 남녀비는 30:28이었다. 등록된 질환은 백혈병 (n=9, 15.5%), 림프종 (n=30, 51.7%), 다발성 골수종 (n=12, 20.7%), 재생불량성 빈혈 (n=6, 10.3%) 그리고 골수이형성증후군 (n=1, 1.7%)이 포함되었다. 결과는 chi-squre test나 independent samples T test를 사용하여 분석되었다. Multivariate analysises에 대해 logistic regression test를 사용하였다. 결과 : 15명의 환자들 (25.9%)에서 조혈모세포 이식후 헤르페스 바이러스 감염이 발생하였다. 조혈모세포 이식 5년간 누적 발생율은 53.9%였다. Univariate analyses에서 헤르페스 바이러스 감염에 대한 유의한 위험 인자는 없었다. 하지만 조혈모세포 이식후 생존 기간(40.18 ± 30.14 months vs 20.06 ± 26.67 months, p=0.018)은 헤르페스 바이러스 감염의 낮은 발병율과 유의한 관련성이 있었다. 이식 편대 숙주질환 (GVHD)의 존재 (37.5% in developed GVHD vs 0% in no GVHD, p=0.200), 동종조혈 모세포 이식에서 면역억제요법의 기간 (15.98 ± 14.02 months vs 6.78 ± 3.67 months, p = 0.374)은 헤르페스 바이러스 감염에 대한 위험인자가 아니었다. 결론 : 조혈모세포 이식 후 생존 기간은 어사이클로비어 예방을 받은 혈액암 환자에서 헤르페스 바이러스 감염의 낮은 발병율과 연관성이 있는 것으로 보인다. 저용량의 어사이클로비어 예방은 헤르페스 바이러스 감염의 고위험군인 조혈모세포 이식을 받은 혈액암 환자에 필요하리라 생각된다. Background : Herpesviridae family includes herpes simplex virus, varicella zoster virus, Epstein-Barr virus, and cytomegalovirus, etc. Herpesviridae viral infection (HVI) can lead to serious complications including dissemination, secondary infection, bacterial superinfection in patients with hematologic malignancy following hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). But there was no consensus on the dose and duration of antiviral agents prophylaxis in patients undergoing chemotherapy. We retrospectively analyzed the incidence and the risk factors for HVI. Method : A total of 58 patients who newly diagnosed and received HSCT with prophylaxis of acyclovir at the Kosin University Gospel Hospital, Busan, Korea between June 1995 and February 2009 were enrolled retrospectively in the current study. HVI was confirmed based on clinical diagnosis, serologic test or pathologic diagnosis. The characteristics of the patients were as follows: the median age was 44 years (range 19-62 years) with a female-to-male ratio of 30:28. The enrolled diseases included leukemia (n=9, 15.5%), lymphoma (n=30, 51.7%), multiple myeloma (n=12, 20.7%), aplastic anemia (n=6, 10.3%) and myelodysplastic syndrome (n=1, 1.7%). The results were analyzed using a chi-square test and independent samples T test. For the multivariate analysis, we used logistic regression test. Results : Fifteen patients (25.9%) developed HVI after HSCT. The cumulative incidence of HVI was 53.8% at 5 years after HSCT. In univariate analysis, there was no significant risk factor for HVI. The presence of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) (37.5% in developed GVHD vs. 0% in no GVHD, p=0.200), duration of immunosuppressive therapy (IST) in allo-SCT (15.98 ± 14.02 months vs. 6.78 ± 3.67 months, p = 0.374) were not risk factors for HVI. Conclusion : The incidence of HVI was similar to that in historical other studies. There was no risk factor associated with development of HVI. Most of the HVI occurred within the first 24 months after transplantation. So long term use of antiviral prophylaxis may be needed to prevention of HVI after HSCT.

        Armillary spheres called honchonui is to show that during the Chosen dynasty (1392∼ 1910), Korean astronomy and technology went on its own path distinctive not only from that of the West but also from that of China, both of which had great influences on it. Our study is based upon the research of written materials and the physical investigation of some existing instruments; its findings will be used for our reconstruction of armillary spheres that were made during the middle of the dynasty. During the Choson, armillary spheres were developed to facilitate the propagation of Confucian ideology, on the one hand, to improve the knowledge of astronomy, on the other. Recognizing their importance at both aspects, the kings devoted themselves to toe making and repairing of the instruments. As time went, individuals outside of the court began to participate in making them. During the middle of the dynasty, that it from the Japanese invasion to the end of King Yongjo's rule, the Korean scientists incorporated the knowledge from the West in the making of armillary spheres. The period of King Hyonjong's reign witnessed a real innovation in making of armillary clocks. Two important scholar-officials played a major role in the renaissance of Korean technology. Upon the king's order, Yi Minch'ol cast new armillary spheres with a water-operated mechanism ; Song Iyong was also ordered to make a "self-sounding clock", that it a weight-driven armillary clock which was affected by the import of a western-style clock through China and Japan. Their joint efforts indeed led to a breakthrough not only in the history of Korean technology but also in that of mankinds. In this way, they succeeded in making armillary spheres in their own way beyond both Chinese and Western traditions of horological instrumentation. To be sure, the reconstruction of armillary spheres for which this study is to lay foundation will further stimulate the efforts at illustrating the history of Korean technology.

      • M-추정법에서 산포추정량의 특성

        The Huber's M-estimator Is a well-known robust estimator in sense of distributional robustness. In this paper, we discuss the role of robustness of the scale estimator in the M-estimation. The Gini's mean difference has well known as more robust scale estimator than the median absolute deviation(MAB) estimator or standard deviation. The efficiency and robustness of the scale estimator based on the Gini's mean difference are well known in Nam et al.(2000). Nevertheless the efficiency of M-estimator based on the Gini's mean difference is not high. We debate this problem that why the robustness of scale estimator does not guarantee the robustness of the M-estimator.

      • 비볼록 목적함수에서 M-추정법

        일반적인 위치모수의 추정문제에서 로버스트 방법으로 흔히 고려되는 것이 M-추정법이다. M-추정법에서는 추정량이 명시적 형태로 주어지지 않으며, 특히 비볼록(non-convex)목적함수에서의 M-추정에 기존의 뉴튼 방법을 적용할 경우 목적함수의 대역최소점에서 해를 찾는데 실패할 위험이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 문제점을 유전자 알고리즘(genetic algorithm)을 이용하여 해결하고자 한다. 즉, M-추정에서 고려하는 목적함수를 미분하지 않고 목적함수 자체를 최적화(최소화)시키는 방법으로 해를 구하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한, M-추정에서 널리 쓰이는 뉴튼 방법에 의한 해의 문제점을 지적하고 제안된 방법에 의한 M-추정의 타당성을 예를 들어 보이고자 한다. The M-estimation is frequently considered as a robust procedure in the estimation of location parameter. Usually the M-estimator can not be represented as an explicit form. In this paper, we propose an M-estimation method in non-convex object function by using the genetic algorithm. The proposed method cirectly optimizes(minimizes)the object function without differentiating the function, and it approximates the global solution regardless of the initialization. An illustrative example shows that the proposed estimation method is stable and has elegant behavior, compared to the classical M-estimation.

      • 자생 차(Camellia sinensis L.)의 육묘 방법에 관한 연구

        These experiments were conducted to studies on methods raising seedling in Native Tea Trees(Camellia sinensis L.). this experiment was conducted for 2years from 1999 to 2000 in Kyeongnam Provincial Rural Development Administration(R.D.A) The results were summarized as follows: 1. Germination percentage, mature seedling percentage, tiller, leaf number, leaf length and dry weight become higher Cup Pot Φ16cm treatment plot, plant height and leaf area was high some Net Pot Φ15cm treatment plot. 2. The growth of underground and aboveground show a good result all Cup Pot Φ16cm treatment plot. 3. The T/R rate of Cup Pot Φ16cm treatment plot were found 100% and Cup Pot Φ15cm treatment plot were found 114%. 4. The economic gains become higher Cup Pot Φ16cm.

      • 유포자성 유산균을 이용한 라면스프의 개발에 관한 연구

        L. sporogenes를 호기조건으로 24시간 배양한 결과 생균수는 20×10^(8) CFU/mL로 나타났으며 포자 형성율은 97%를 보였다. 라면 스프 및 조리시간에 따른 생균수를 측정한 결과 3회사 제품 모두 약간의 근소한 차이는 있지만 조리 후 10분이 지나 72~74℃ 가 될 때 까지는 생존율이 약 10%씩 감소하다가 조리 후 10분이 지나 용기면의 온도가 60℃ 범위를 유지하는 동안은 생존율이 75~78%를 유지하면서 그 이후 생존율에 거의 변화를 보이지 않았다. 인공위액에 3사의 컵라면 스프를 각각 3.2% 첨가한 후 포자의 생존율은 30분경과 후 대조군은 95%를 나냈으며 N사와 H 및 S사는 각각 90%, 88%, 91%를 나타내어 대조군과 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 1.0% 농도의 Oxgall에 3사의 컵라면 스프를 각각 3.2% 첨가한 후 생존율을 측정한 결과 60분경과 후 에서는 대조군이 95%, B사와 N 및 S사 가 각각 82%, 80%, 80%로 약 15% 이상 차이가 나타났으며 60분경과 후 에는 대조군이 90% 의 생존율을 보인 반면 B사와 N 및 S사는 각각 70%, 68%, 67%로 대조군 보다 20~23% 사멸 율이 증가하였다. 스프에 함유된 포자에 대하여 20℃와 37℃에서의 저장성 시험결과 20℃에서 보존 한 경우 N사의 스프에시 3, 6, 9개월 후의 생존율이 94, 90, 84%였으며 37℃에서 보존 한 경우 20℃에서 보존 한 경우 보다 20%정도 감소율이 증가하여 온도에 의한 영향이 매우 큰 것으로 나타났다. In order to develop functional cup ramyun containing with spore forming lactic acid bacteria powder, Lactobacillus sporogenes which has resistant spore against high temperature, low pH and oxgall was selected. In jar fermentor experiment under optimal culture condition, the number of spore of Lactobacillus sporogenes reached about 20×10^(8) cfu/ml and sporulation rate was about 97%. In the treatment of artificial gastric juice(pH 3.0) with cup ramyun soup for 30min, the survival rate of spores in B, N and S company soup were about 90%, 88% and 91% respectively. Survival rate in the presence of 1.0% oxgall for 1 hour had more than 80%. The storage stability was more than 70% at 20℃ and 60% at 37℃, respectively.

        여자 500m 쇼트트랙 스피드 스케이팅의 스타트 기술분석

The purpose of this study is to identify female 500m sprint start motion by the center of gravity position in short track speed skating. The center of gravity position ratio was divided into three type(type A front : 80%-back : 20%, type B front : 70%-back : 30%, type C front: 50%-back : 50%). Three video cameras were used for 3D motion analysis with DLT method and the results were as follows: The elapsed time in starting motion was appeared that type B was the shortest and type A was the longest. It was appear that the stroke length of type A was longer than that type B and C during starting phase. This result was similar to displacement of center of gravity. It was appeared that skill type of center of gravity position ratio type B' ankle and knee joint angle were lower than that of type A and C. Observing these results it was conclusion that skill type B of center of gravity position ratio was more faster than that of type A and C. But it is important that these skill type needed to verifying more subjects.

      • 노인의 정주환경 인식에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to not only clarify needs for physical environment improvement and participation in local community but also present results from actual field survey for establishing the policy for the elderly. With this purpose in mind, firstly, we attempt to consider personal characteristic. And then we analyzed the elderly residents' needs for the improvement of residential environment in local community. Second, we attempt to find out trends or settlement consciousness of the elderly and establish the policy considering environment improvement for the elderly. The results are as follows; 1) it is needed to work up to improve the basic actual settlement environment of the elderly, because they want to continually live in recent community. 2) in participation in local community, they are on negative lines and prefer to participation bring about incomes. 3) for the improvement of the quality of the settlement environment for the elderly in community, it is need to maintenance of the physical environment; especially mobility, welfare facilities, housing for the elderly.
