      • 실리카흄을 흔입한 고강도 콘크리트 개발

        콘크리트 구조물이 대형화됨에 따라 설계단면이 증대되어 상대적으로 많은 경제적 손실을 부담하게 된다. 따라서 단면을 감소시키면서도 소요의 하중에 안전한 구조물을 건설하기 위해서는 우선적으로 구조물 건설에 기초가 되는 고품질, 고내구성의 고강도 콘크리트 개발이 절실히 요구된다 본 연구에서는 일정 시멘트비 및 혼화재 비율하에서 소요의 워커빌리티가 확보되는 고강도 콘크리트를 시간과 온도의 변화에 따라 증기 양생하여, 압축, 인장, 휨강도 뿐만 아니라 파괴특성을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 시료 제작시 시멘트 입자 사이의 공극 및 불연속 영역을 충전하여 고밀도화하기 위한 콘크리트용 혼화재로 시멘트 비표면적이 상당히 작은 초미립 분말인 실리카흄을 이용하였다. 또한 AE감수제 및 고성능 유동화제를 사용하여 혼화재의 첨가에 의하여 발생될 수 있는 워커빌리티의 감소를 방지하였다. 실험결과에 의하면 일정 양생 지속 시간하에서 온도의 증가에 따라 콘크리트의 압축, 인장 및 휨강도가 전반적으로 증가하였다. 동일하게 일정 온도하에서 양생 지속시간이 커짐에 따라 강도들이 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 상대적으로 높은 온도와 긴 지속 양생 조건하에서 파괴에 대한 저항력이 크게 나타났다. The compressible, tensible, and flexibleresistance of the high strength concrete is analyzed by the experimentation in the present study. For the test, we cure several samples with the silica fume as a mixture being become dense the spaces between the particle of cement under the variation of both the temperature and the curing-interval. Then, the superplasticizer and the ezcon are also used to satisfy the required workability for construction. The compressible, tensible, and flexible resistances to a stress are increased as increasing the temperature and the time interval for the curing. Therefore it is concluded that the overal fractural and mechanical properties is improved by mixing the silica fume into the cement.

        민들레 잎과 뿌리 분말을 첨가한 설기떡의 품질 특성

        In order to develop a dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) with natural food applications, the effects of dandelion leaves and roots powder content on the physical, textural and sensory properties of sulggidduk were examined. Dandelion powders of leaves and roots at 0, 1, 2 and 3% were added to the dandelion sulgidduk. In the dandelion roots powder in sulgidduk, the color intensity of L values and the values and moisture content decreased however, the sensory color intensity, dandelion flavor and overall acceptability increased with increasing the dandelion powder content. The sensory overall acceptability indicated the dandelion roots powder content at 3% had the highest overall and flavor scores. As the dandelion leaves content was increased, the moisture contents, lightness, adhesiveness and cohesiveness of sulggidduk decreased, while the sensory color intensity, sensory hardness, hardness of texture properties and dandelion flavor increased. The addition at 1% of the dandelion leaves powder content with the dandelion sulggidduk and the addition at 3% of the dandelion roots powder content with the dandelion sulggidduk showed the highest overall acceptability.

        The measurements of triceps skinfold thickness, body weight and height were done in children aged 7 to 12 years(3,142 boys and 2588 girls) in Kwangju in 1992. The author also observed degree of obesity, prevalence of obesity and average value of triceps skinfold thickness. The results were summarized as follows: 1) The mean value of triceps skinfold thickness acceding to age in male was 7 years 10.5mm, 8 years 10.5mm, 9 years 10.2mm, 10 years 12.3mm, 11 years 13.8mm, 12 years 12.3mm. In the female it was 7 years 11.9mm, 8 years 11.9mm, 9 years 11.6mm, 10 years 12.6mm, 11 years 14.1mm, 12 years 13.6mm. 2) The mean value of triceps skinfold thickness acceding to age in obese male was 7 years 16.3mm, 8 years 17.3mm, 9 years 16.0mm, 10 years 19.5mm, 11 years 23.7mm, 12 years 20.1mm. In the obese female it was 7 years 17.3mm, 8 years 17.9mm, 9 years 18.4mm, 10 years 19.5mm, 11 years 21.2mm, 12 years 20.3mm.

      • 고속적응 스펙트럼 추정법의 안정도 개선에 관한 연구

        In this paper, it is proposed to improve the robustness of the Fast Recursive Least Squares (FRLS) algorithms with the exponential weighting, which is an important class of algorithms for adaptive filtering. It is well known that the FRLS algorithm is numerically unstable with exponential weighting factor λ<1. However, introducing some gains into this algorithms, numerical errors can be reduced. A proper choice of the gains then leads to a numerically stable FRLS algorithm with a complexity of 8m mulitiplications and we shown it by computer simulations.

        접촉각 측정에 의한 사이즈 분석

        접촉각(Contact Angle)이란 액체가 고체표면 위에서 열역학적으로 평형을 이룰 때 형성하는 각을 의미하며, 고체와 액체 사이에서 이루는 접촉각의 측정은 접착, 표면처리, 폴리머 표면 분석과 같은 많은 분야에서 잘 알려진 기술이다. 이러한 접촉각은 종이의 내수성에 대한 정밀한 예측을 가능하게 하는데 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 접촉각 자동 측정 시스템(AMS-2001)은 종이에 부여된 내수성을 종이 시료 상에 형성된 접촉각 측정을 통하여 정량화 할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 개발한 AMS-2001을 이용하면 사이징 처리된 종이의 접촉각, 발수각, 액적의 폭, 지름, 표면장력 등을 측정할 수 있었고, 액적이 변화되는 모양을 디지털 화상을 통하여 추적할 수 있었으며 또한 기존의 Stockigt 실험 방법과 거의 유사한 재현성 및 신뢰성을 나타낼 수 있었다. The contact angle formed by a droplet of water used to estimate a repellency property of paper. The conventional systems measuring a contact angle are based on a manual measurement of the angle by a 3-point determination such as a far-left or far-right point, and a top point of a water droplet on a sample sheet. Thus the manual method to analyze a water repellency property can be greatly affected by an operator's bias. The new method to measure a sizing degree by a contact angle was developed using an automatic determination of 3-end point coordinates of the water droplet, which could diminish the operator's bias during measurement. The system could also quantify width and height of a water droplet, a surface tension of a solid specimen, and a time elapsed during complete absorption of water into a sheet. Finally, the values measured by the system were quite reproducible and reliable.

        Experience of surgical treatment in a granular cell tumor in the qscending colon: a case report

        We report a case about successful surgical treatment of a granular cell tumor in the ascending colon. A 36-year-old man underwent screening colonoscopy. An endoscopic examination revealed a 10-mm yellowish and hemispheric mass in the ascending colon, and lower endoscopic ultrasonography revealed a hypoechoic-to-isoechoic mass invaded the submucosal layer. The mass was suspected to be a colonic carcinoid tumor. Based on the preoperative evaluation, endoscopic complete resection was considered difficult. Therefore, the lesion was removed via laparoscopic right hemicolectomy. Histological examination revealed that the tumor consisted of nests of polygonal cells with abundant granular eosinophilic cytoplasm. Immunohistochemical staining revealed diffuse positivity for S100 and CD68. Therefore, the tumor was diagnosed as a granular cell tumor. We suggest that surgical resection should be considered if it is located in the thin-walled ascending colon prone to perforation, difficult to rule out malignant tumor due to submucosal invasion, or to remove endoscopically.

        일부 프로 축구선수들과 성인 남성의 식품섭취패턴, 식습관 및 영양지식에 관한 비교 연구

        This study was performed to compare food consumption patterns, dietary behavior, and nutrition knowledge between Korean professional soccer players and the non-athletic males. Data were collected from 53 soccer players working for Korean professional soccer clubs and 44 non-athletic males, using self-administered questionnaires. There were significant differences in food consumption frequency between two groups. Meats and eggs, fishes and shellfishes, sea weeds were consumed more frequently by the soccer players. The frequency scores of foods rich in iron, calcium, and protein were also higher in the soccer players compared with the non-athletes. Meanwhile, the consumption of alcohol was more frequent in the non-athletes. As for the cooking method, the soccer players showed higher preference for steaming/parboiling and consumed raw vegetables and fruits more frequently than the non-athletic males (p<0.05). The average scores of soccer players on nutrition knowledge for basic nutrition and athletic nutrition were lower than the respective values of the non-athletic males. However, the soccer players showed better eating behaviors and dietary habits compared with non-athletic males (p<0.001). They had well-balanced, regular diet and good habits for chronic disease prevention. No significant relationship could be observed with respect to nutrition knowledge and nutritional behavior. Moreover, the experience of getting nutrition information did not affect either nutrition knowledge score or nutritional habits score, except that for habits of chronic disease prevention in non-athletes. Therefore, it is suggested that more effective and practical nutrition education program be needed for promoting healthy eating habits and improving nutritional status in young males.         Real-World Eligibility and Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Empagliflozin for Heart Failure in Korea

        Background: The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved empagliflozin for reducing cardiovascular mortality and heart failure (HF) hospitalization in patients with both HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and HF with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). However, limited data are available on the generalizability of empagliflozin to clinical practice. Therefore, we evaluated real-world eligibility and potential cost-effectiveness based on a nationwide prospective HF registry. Methods: A total of 3,108 HFrEF and 2,070 HFpEF patients from the Korean Acute Heart Failure (KorAHF) registry were analyzed. Eligibility was estimated by inclusion and exclusion criteria of EMPagliflozin outcomE tRial in Patients With chrOnic heaRt Failure With Reduced Ejection Fraction (EMPEROR-Reduced) and EMPagliflozin outcomE tRial in Patients With chrOnic heaRt Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction (EMPEROR-Preserved) trials and by FDA & EMA label criteria. The cost-utility analysis was done using a Markov model to project the lifetime medical cost and quality-adjusted life year (QALY). Results: Among the KorAHF patients, 91.4% met FDA & EMA label criteria, while 44.7% met the clinical trial criteria. The incremental cost-effectiveness ratio of empagliflozin was calculated at US$6,764 per QALY in the overall population, which is far below a threshold of US$18,182 per QALY. The cost-effectiveness benefit was more evident in patients with HFrEF (US$5,012 per QALY) than HFpEF (US$8,971 per QALY). Conclusion: There is a large discrepancy in real-world eligibility for empagliflozin between FDA & EMA labels and clinical trial criteria. Empagliflozin is cost-effective in HF patients regardless of ejection fraction in South Korea health care setting. The efficacy and safety of empagliflozin in real-world HF patients should be further investigated for a broader range of clinical applications.
