A continuous and reliable electrical energy supply is the objective of any power system operation. A transmission line is the part of the power system where faults are most likely to happen. This paler describes the use of wavelet transform for analyzing power system fault transients in order to determine the fault location. Synchronized sampling was made possible by precise time receivers based on GPS time reference, and the sampled data were analyzed using wavelet transform. This paper describes a fault location monitoring system and fault locating algorithm with GPS, DSP processor, and data acquisition board, and presents some experimental results and error analysis.
原乳의 冷却方法과 市乳의 殺菌方法 및 貯藏方法에 따른 細菌學的인 變化에 관한 硏究

The experiment was carried out to compare Total Standard Plate Counts (S.P.C) according to Cooling Method of Raw Milk and Pasteurization Method of Market Milk, to examine Changing of Market Milk at 5℃ and room temperature during various Storage Period. They were investigated in S.P.C. and quality of Markt Milk. The results obtained were as follows; 1.Cooling Methods of raw milk: S.P.C. were 4.7×107 cells/ml in cooling method by ground water, 3.2×107 cells/ml in refrigerator storage method, both were above the law. Then 13% of 4.7×107 cells/ml in milk cooler method and 75% of 1.9×106 cells/ml in bulk tank method were below the law. 2.Pasteurization methods of market milk; Raw milk contained 2.4×107 cells/ml, then M.T.S.T milk contain 2.6×105 cells/ml, both was above the law. H.T.S.T. and holding mixed method and L.T.L.T. method were contained 2.0×102 cells/ml and 1.3×102 cells/ml, respectively both were below the law, 6.2×10cells/ml by V.H.T. method was very excellent among them. 3.Storage of market milk at 5˚C; S market milk after 4th days was 2.6×103cells/ml in September, 3.2×102 cells/ml in October, both were below the law, K market milk after 4 th days in September was 6.0×104 cells/ml, after second day in October was 1.2×105 cells/ml, but in spite of pasteurization SA control market milk in September was 2.5×105 cells/ml, after firstday in October was 4.4×104 cells/ml, all were above the law. All samples were normal in Acidity test, Alcohol precipitation teat and Organoleptic test. 4.Storage of market milk at room temperature (23-25℃) ; S market milk after 12 hours storage in September was 1.8×105 cells/ml, and after 24 hours in October was 1.0×106 cells/ml. K market milk both in September and October after 8 hours were 1.3×105cells/ml and 8.4×104 cells/ml respectively SA market milk pasteurized immediately in September and in October were 2.0×105 cells/ml, and 2.6×105 cells/ml, and both were above the law. All of market milk were 0.18~0.25% in Acidity test, positive in Alcohol test, and abnormal flavor in Organoleptic test after 24 hours.
운동이 비만 여성의 심근산소소비량과 심전도 QTc 간격에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise staining on MVO_2 and electrocardiogram QTc interval in obese woman and to propose the desirable method for weight loss. Subjects were fifteen obese women for this study. 8 subjects were prolonged QTc interval group and 7 subjects were normal QTc interval. They participated in exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise at A Medical Center. The body composition including Boyd Weight, BMI, WHR and % Body Fat was measured. The resting and exercise(Bruce protocol 7th min) rate-pressure product(RPP) could be measured with HR and systolic BP for MVO_2 measurement. The electrocardiogram QTc interval was calculated with Bazzett's formula using automated software program. The measured data of this study were as follows: 1) After participating the exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise, Body Weight, BMI, WHR and % Body Fat were significantly changed in two groups. (p<.05). 2. After participating in the exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise, the resting and exercise MVO_2 using RPP were significantly changed in two groups(p<.05). 3) After participating in the exercise program consisted of aerobic exercise and weight training exercise, the electrocardiogram QTc interval were decreased but were not significantly changed in prolonged QTc interval group. (p<.29). However, it was significantly decreased in prolonged QTc interval(p<.00).
UGR(Unified Glare Rating)의 보정 및 불쾌글레어 주관평가를 위한 실험적 연구

Glare in one of the major factors influencing comfort appraisal for lighting. Although a predictive formula for such glare has been proposed by CIE, it has not been investigated for domestic adjustment. The correlation between glare and the closely related dazzling-sensation has not been investigated enough. In the study, subjective discomfort glare appraisal and dazzling-sensation appraisal for discomfort glare was performed to produce a corrected UGR formula. Analyses between appraisal for dazzling-sensation and results of subjective appraisal for discomfort glare were performed to produce a formula that could represent the correlation between discomfort glare and dazzling-sensation. The results of the comparison and analysis is that results computed by UGR differed from those of subjective perception, so a corrected UGR formula and corrected glare index and dazzling-sensation was produced. Also, a formula that could represent the state of dazzling-sensation verying with change of luminance was produce.
디젤분진이 사람 동맥 평활근 세포(VSMC)에 미치는 영향

The purpose of the present study was to examine the effect of diesel exhaust particles on human aortic vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs). DNA synthesis, cell viability and morphology of VSMCs after treatment of diesel exhaust particles(DEP) and fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)) were assayed. PM_(2.5) inhibited the DNA synthesis of VSMCs in a concentration-dependent manner, whereas DEP did not affect VSMCs up to 50㎍/mL . These results were confirmed by morphological examination of VSMCs. PM_(2.5) showed a dose-dependent cytotoxicity of VSMCs by MTT assay. Fraction 4(organic acids) and fraction8(moderately polar compounds) showed the most potent inhibition of DNA synthesis of VSMCs, and fraction7(slightly polar compounds), fraction9(higher polar compounds), and fraction6(aromatic compounds) were next order. These results were confirmed by morphological examination of VSMCs. These results suggest that PM_(2.5) inhibits the DAN synthesis of VSMCs through the cytotoxicity.
자궁경부암 병기판정 기초검사시 새로운 보조방법으로서 고주파 질식 초음파의 가치

To investigate the efficacy of endoluminal ultrasound system (EUS) as a surrogate for high frequency transvaginal ultrasonography and as an optional baseline study in determining parameirial and stromal invasion of early stage cervical cancer, 52 women suspected of cervical cancer underwent EUS. A 12 MHz endoscopic probe was employed to radially scan the cervix for possible lesions suspected to be invasive cancer during a period of 6 months from Feb. 1 to July 1, 1995. Patients also underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and/or computerized tomography (CT) as a routine mode of baseline study, and were clinically staged by 3 independent physicians specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, School of Medicine, Ajou University, Suwon, Korea. Thirty one patients subsequently received surgery appropriate for the stage of the disease and the final pathology findings were compared with the results of clinical staging, EUS, MRI/CT by regression analysis. The results showed that there was statistically significant correlation between MRI/CT and pathology (r=0.660, p<0.02), between EUS and pathology (r=0.803, p<0.01), and between clinical staging and pathology (r=0.825, p<0.01). It is concluded that there was significant statistical correlation t>etween EUS, MRI/CT, clinical staging and pathology, but the question remained as to the statistical superiority of EUS over MRI/CT with regard to parametrial invasion and stromal invasion depth assessment. Finally, EUS is useful as an alternative optional diagnostic tool in the baseline study of cervical cancer.
한국인 모발과 내부장기조직간 Cd, Hg, Pb 및 Zn함량의 상호관련성

In order to study the relationships between trace element concentrations of hair and internal organs, autopsy samples of hair, liver, kidney cortex, kidney medulla, heart, lung, spleen, cerebrum, testis and bone from 162 Korean subjects were analyzed for Cd, Hg, Pb and Zn by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. High significant positive correlations were found between the Cd concentration in hair and bone and Pb in hair and lung. Hair Hg levels were highly significantly correlated with organ Hg levels in the liver, kidney cortex, kidney medulla, heart, lung, spleen, cerebrum, testis and bone. And hair Zn levels were highly significantly correlated with organ Zn levels in the kidney cortex, kidney medulla, spleen, testis and bone.
