This paper describes that the cutting resistance of non-homogeneous workpiece siuch as mild steel having 6-4 brass fitted on 6 parts of grooved mild steel in turning operations with various cutting conditions by using tool dynanometer was investigated experimentally. The three components of cutting forces was recorded on the oscillograph, the size of workpiece was 50 ㎜ø × 300 ㎜ and Chemical composition of tool was w(18%) - Cr(4%) - V(1%). The results of this experiment are as follows; (1) The cutting forces increase with increasing depth of Cut, and feeds. (2) The cutting forces ( principal forces, feed forces) increase little by little till cutting velocity 60m/min, but the cutting forces increase rapidly from cutting velocity 60m/min to 110m/min and decrease from this point continously.
생쥐의 骨髓細胞에 대한 Aminopterin 과 Amethopterin의 細胞遺傳學的 影響

Aminopterin and amethopterin(Methotrexate; MTX) are antifolic drugs and anti-tumour agents, which inhibit DNA biosynthesis, were previously known to have mutagenic effects on various mammalian cells. Mutagenecity and toxicity of these agents have been determined by various methods. In the present study, effects of two anti-tumour agents on cultured mouse bone marrow cells were analyzed by observing chromosome aberrations and mitotic index. The results of the present investigation were as follows; 1. The chromosome aberrations analyzed were mainly chromosome gaps and breaks, chromatid gaps and breaks. In the Group-1 (treated for 8 hours), chromosome aberrations were not shown and it seems that mutagenic actions of anti-tumour agents were not aroused due to the short period of culture and the other culture conditions. However, in the Group-2 (treated for 24 hours), as the concentrations of antifolic compounds were increased, chromosome aberrations were increased. 2. In mitotic index, the Group-I treated with aminopterin and amethopterin showed marked inhibition in the mitotic index(O. 6% in aminopterin, 0.9% in amethopterin) at the high concentrations, compared with that of control (5. 2%). Both aminopterin and amethopterin showed a dose-dependent reduction of mitotic index. In the Group-2, each group treated with two antifolic compounds showed no marked differences in the mitotic index. compared with that of control. 3. Aminopterin was a more potent agent for induction of chromosome aberration than amethopterin.

In recent, the CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) composite has been widely used because it has light-weight and high mechanical strength. Therefore, CFRP composite is applied to variable industrial areas such as aerospace, automobiles, sporting goods, ships and so on. Generally, CFRP composite has been used in the industrial field by mechanical cutting processes. In this research, the CFRP composite specimen are laminated by 64plies with orientation angles such as 0°, 45°, 90° and [0°/±45°/90°]4S. The results are analyzed with cutting force and cutting surface.

Disposal of a homicide victim by dismemberment is rare, but individual cases are on record in most major medicolegal departments. Recognition of postmortem mutilation may be of importance in the interpretation of certain murders committed by sexual perverts and other mentally deranged individuals and sometimes performed for the sole reason of easier disposal of the body. Postmortem dismemberment is usually readily recognizable as such; The edges of the injuries are dry and lack evidence of bleeding. The joints may be disarticulated without fracture, or the use of an axe or saw may be evident from examination of bones. Parallel horizontal or oblique furrows in the bone surface are caused by skipping of the saw prior to establishing depth. Such patterns on the bone may assist in identifying the particular saw involved. So we report 25 dismembered corpses that autopsied in National Institute of Scientific Investigation. This paper can help in attempting to establish not only the first criminal investigation steps but also the medicolegal approach methods in unidentified and dismembered deaths.

<P>Highly ordered and flexible nanopillar arrays have received considerable interest for many applications of electrochemical devices because of their unique mechanical and structural properties. Here, we report on highly ordered polyoxometalate (POM)-doped polypyrrole (Ppy) nanopillar arrays produced by soft lithography and subsequent electrodeposition. As-prepared POM-Ppy/nanopillar films show superior electrochemical performances for pseudocapacitor and enzymeless electrochemical sensor applications and good mechanical properties, which allowed them to be easily bent and twisted. Regarding electrochemical characteristics for pseudocapacitive electrodes, the POM-Ppy/nanopillar electrodes are capable of delivering high areal capacitance of 77.0 mF cm(-2), high rate performance, and good cycle life of similar to 100% retention over 3500 cycles even when bent. Moreover, the study suggests that the POM-Ppy/nanopillar electrodes have an excellent electrocatalytic activity toward hydrogen.</P>
Intraoperative Templating in Lateral Meniscal Allograft Transplantation

Recently, studies have emphasized the importance of anatomical placement of the lateral meniscal allograft to decrease postoperative extrusion. However, it is infeasible to identify the exact rotation of the allograft during transplantation. We present a patient who underwent a lateral meniscal transplantation using a wire for correct positioning of the allograft. The use of a wire intraoperatively shaped to resemble the contour of the lateral meniscal allograft will aid in more accurate and anatomical graft placement.

<P>Design and fabrication of electrodes is key in the development of electrochemical sensors with superior electrochemical performances. Herein, an enzymeless electrochemical sensor is developed for detection of hydrogen peroxide based on the use of highly ordered polyoxometalate (POM)-doped polyaniline (PANI) nanopillar films. The electrodeposition technique enables the entrapment of POMs into PANI during electropolymerization to produce thin coatings of POM-PANI. Electrochemical investigations of the POM-PANI/nanopillar electrode showed well-defined multiple pairs of redox peaks and rapid electron transfer. The nanopillar structure facilitated the diffusion of the electrolyte and thus, enhanced the redox reaction. In particular, the POM-PANI/nanopillar electrode was incorporated into a flow injection biosensor and it demonstrates its electrocatalytic activity to detect hydrogen peroxide with high sensitivity, rapid response time, and low detection limit.</P>
Effect of gas condition on graphene synthesized by rapid thermal chemical vapor deposition

Graphene was synthesized using rapid thermal chemical vapor deposition (RT-CVD) equipment designed to produce largeareagraphene at high speed. The effects of methane (CH4), argon (Ar), and hydrogen (H2) gases were investigated between800 oC and 1,000 oC during heating and cooling in the graphene synthesis process. The findings reveal that multilayer domainsincreased due to hydrogen pretreatment with increase in temperature. Furthermore, when pretreated with the same gas, it wasconfirmed that the post-argon-treated sample cooled from 1,000 oC to 800 oC had a higher ID/IG value than that of the othersamples. This result was consistent with the sheet resistance properties of graphene. The sample prepared in methaneatmosphere maintained during both the pre-treatment and post-treatment demonstrated the lowest sheet resistance of 787.49Ω/sq. Maintaining the methane gas atmosphere in the high-temperature region during graphene synthesis by RT-CVD reducedthe defects and improved the electrical property.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, graphite oxide was successfully synthesized from bulk graphite flakes using a Couette-Taylor flow reactor. A high yield (∼93%) of single-layer and few-layer graphene oxide sheets was achieved in this study within a reaction time of one hour by optimizing the conditions. The graphite oxide was effectively exfoliated using the Taylor vortex flow with shearing stress. The degree of oxidation and the graphite oxide morphology were then studied. In addition, mesoporous and three-dimensional nitrogen-doped graphene structures were prepared via graphene oxide sheets and facile solution phase synthesis followed by thermal treatment. The nitrogen in the pyrrolidone ring of PVP was decomposed and incorporated into the carbon network, including pyridinic-N and graphitic-N. Furthermore, the mesoporous and three-dimensional Ni<SUB>1.5</SUB>Co<SUB>1.5</SUB>[Co(CN)<SUB>6</SUB>]<SUB>2</SUB> Prussian blue analogue (PBA) and NiCo sulfides/N-doped graphene hybrid composite structures were successfully demonstrated via facile hydrothermal method.</P>
