In this study, triggering mechanism of ground sinking was analyzed through groundwater flow analysis on the basis of a case of the ground sinking occurred in Yongsan in 2015. The results of geotechnical investigation performed before and after the ground sinking were analyzed for the accurate understanding of geological features in the study area. The numerical groundwater flow analysis was performed to evaluate the influence of the flow behavior from the surrounding area toward the excavated site using software of Visual MODFLOW. As a result, it was found from the geotechnical analysis that the strata of sedimentary layer along the sunken area in the vertical direction was mixed significantly after the ground sinking compared with the status of the soil condition before the ground sinking. Piping was occurred at the toe of cut-off wall in the sandy gravel layer, and this phenomenon was predicted by the numerical flow analysis. Sequential ground displacement scenario of the ground sinking was derived from the geotechnical in situ test and numerical flow analysis performed in this study.

초근접 병렬터널의 필라부에는 응력이 집중되고, 기존에는 터널의 안정성을 확보하기 위하여 강연선을 이용하여 필라부를 보강한다. 하지만 토사 지반에서는 필라부의 강도가 감소하기 때문에 필라부를 강연선으로 보강하는 것으로는 터널 안전성을 충분히 확보하지 못한다. 본 연구에서는 초근접 병렬터널의 필라부를 강관으로 보강하는 새로운 공법의 보강효과를 검토하기 위하여 실내터널모형실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 상부응력에 대한 필라부의 지지능력은 강관 보강하는 경우가 강연선 보강하는 경우보다 22% 큰 것으로 나타났다. Particle Image Velocimetry 기법을 이용한 분석결과 필라부 강관 보강은 강연선 보강보다 병렬터널과 필라부에 상재하중이 균일하게 작용할 수 있는 더 유리한 조건을 형성하였다. 실험결과에 기반하여 필라부 강관보강공법은 강연선 보강공법보다 터널 안정성에 긍정적인 효과를 가져올 것으로 기대된다. In general, the stress is concentrated on the pillar of very near parallel tunnel (VNPT), and the pillar has been reinforced by using steel-wires to maintain the stability of the tunnel. However, since the strength of the pillar decreases in the soil layer, the reinforcing pillar with the steel-wires is insufficient for tunnel stability. In this study, the laboratory tunnel experiment was conducted to examine the reinforcement effect for a new method, of which the pillar of VNPT is strengthened by using steel-pipes. As a result, against overburden stress, the bearing capacity of the steel-pipe reinforcement was 22% greater than that of the steel-wire reinforcement. In using the Particle Image Velocimetry method, the analysis shows that the steel-pipe reinforcement forms a more favorable condition of which uniformly the overburden load acts on the VNPT and the pillar than the steel-wire reinforcement. Based on the results, the steel-pipe reinforcement is expected to bring a more positive effect on tunnel stability than the steel-wire reinforcement.
아산시 지역에서 과민성 장 증후군의 유병률: 표본인구 설문조사

목적: 우리나라의 과민성 장 증후군과 배변증상의 유병률을 조사하고, 다른 진단 기준을 적용하였을 때 유병률에 차이가 있는 지를 알아보기 위하여 지역사회 주민을 대상으로 무작위 표본추출조사를 시행하였다. 대상 및 방법: 충청남도 아산시 보건소와 협조하여 11개 면과 2개동을 무작위로 선정한 후, 인구에 비례하여 18세 이상 70세 미만의 남녀 2,024명을 무작위로 표본추출하였다. 조사원이 대상가구를 직접 방문하여 배변증상을 설문지로 조사하였다. 결과: 3회 방문에 부재 중이거나 제외기준에 속한 주민을 제외하고, 1,417명(남 762명, 평균 44±14세, 여 655명, 평균 43±15세) 이 설문지를 완료하였다. 로마기준 II에 의한 과민성 장 증후군의 유병률은 2.2% (95% 신뢰구간 [95% CI], 1.4~3.0)이었고, 로마기준 I으로는 2.8% ([95% CI], 1.9~3.7)였다. 복통과 Manning 기준 중 2가지 이상을 만족하는 과민성 장 증후군의 유병률은 3.6% ([95% CI], 2.6~4.6)였다. Manning 기준과 로마기준 I, 그리고 Manning 기준과 로마기준 II간에는 각각 moderate agreement를 나타내었다(κ=0.48; p<0.001), (κ=0.50; p<0.001). 로마기준 I과 로마기준 II간에는 substantial agreement를 나타내어(κ=0.66; p<0.001) 세 가지 진단기준 중 로마기준 I과 로마기준 II의 경우에 일치의 정도가 가장 높았다. 결론: 로마기준 II를 적용하여 표본추출 설문조사에 의한 우리나라의 과민성 장 증후군의 유병률은 2.2%이며, 적용된 진단기준에 따라 차이가 있었다. Backgr ound/Aims: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is common in Caucasians and Japanese, but its epidemiology has not been studied in random Korean populations. It has been suggested that the variation in the prevalence of IBS may be due to the application of different diagnostic criteria. New criteria for IBS have been proposed (Rome II). The aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of IBS in a random population in Asan city, Korea by using the Bowel Symptom Questionnaire (BSQ), which was based on the multinational, diagnostic, Rome II criteria for functional bowel disorders, as a measure of GI symptoms and to compare diagnostic criteria. Methods: A cross-sectional survey, using a reliable and valid questionnaire based on the fulfillment of the Rome II criteria was performed in a random population in Asan city, Korea, on residents aged 18~69 yr. The response rate was 78.4% (n=1417). All respondents were interviewed at either their homes or offices by a team of interviewers. Results: The prevalence for BS according to the Rome II, Rome I, and Manning criteria was 2.2% (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.4~3.0), 2.8% (95% CI, 1.9~3.7), and 3.6% (95% CI, 2.6~4.6), respectively. There was moderate agreement between the Manning and Rome II criteria (κ=0.48; p<0.001), and between the Manning and Rome II criteria (κ=0.50; p<0.001), but substantial agreement between the Rome I and Rome II criteria (κ=0.66; p<0.001). The prevalence for abdominal bloating was 4.0% (95% CI, 3.0~5.1), for diarrhea was 0.8% (95% CI, 0.3~1.2), and for constipation was 2.6% (95% CI, 1.8~3.5). Conclusions: The prevalence of IBS based on the Rome II criteria was 2.2%. The prevalence of IBS varied substantially depending on the specific definition of IBS used. Dysphagia is a frequent symptom which is observed in about 6% of all population. The most common causes of nonobstructive dysphagia are reported to be esophageal motility disorders, systemic disease and GERD. About 30% of GERD patients complain of dysphagia. Dysphagia in GERD patients is mostly due to peptic stricture but occasionally related to transient segmental esophageal motor disorder. A 42-year old male patient was admitted because of dysphagia and weight loss. He had renal transplantation 5 years ago. The results of esophagogastroduodenoscopic examination, esophagogram and esophageal manometry were normal. Treatment with proton pump inhibitor, prokinetic and anti-depressant was begun but the patient continued to complain of dysphagia. The result of 24 hour ambulatory pH monitoring revealed pathologic reflux. The results of 24 hour ambulatory esophageal manometry and video fluoroscopy were normal. After reassured, he didn`t complain of dysphagia. We report this case of nonobstructive dysphagia accompanied with GERD refractory to medical treatment in patient who had renal transplantation.(Korean Journal of Gastrointestinal Motility 2002;8:47-52)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the writing styles and features of science writing by using science notebook for elementary school science gifted. The subject of this study was 37 sixth grade elementary school science gifted in P city. The preliminary 1 hour instruction was conducted to explain the usage of science notebook. The summarized activity using science notebook was conducted for 20 minutes following 4 hour lesson. These activities were performed for 8 times. As the result of this study, in The content which is learned today (main learning content)` which is one of components of science note, the writing appears the most frequently in external expression types and features of scientific writing, followed by writing+drawing, drawing, cartoon, writing+cartoon, mind map, table. Science writing which uses inductive thinking appears the most frequently in internal expression types and features of scientific writing, followed by deductive thinking, creative thinking. Among the components of science note, ``thinking and feeling``, ``question,`` ``one`s own thinking of question`` which are the components of science note promote the reflective thinking of elementary school student gifted for science.
