Ozone is attracting increased attention as a pollution-free oxidant in various applications. These include treatment of drinking water and waste water in both household and industry, and the cleaning and disinfection of contaminated water and air. To meet these wide interests, two problems must be solved: The first problem is to improve power efficiency for ozone generator and the second problem is to dissolve ozon in water with high concentration. In this paper, we propose a new efficient method for the production of ozonized water. Our method has some advantages over the previous methods. To demonstrate the practical significance of our results, we present some experimental results.

Changes in Inflammatory Cytokines during Rewarming Period of Therapeutic Hypothermia for Post-Cardiac Arrest Patients

Purpose: Therapeutic hypothermia is an important treatment strategy for control of the overwhelming inflammatory reactions of cardiac arrest patients. Rapid rewarming is related to poor outcome, however the kinds of inflammatory processes that occur during the rewarming period are not well understood. Our aim in the current study was to evaluate the changes in inflammatory cytokine levels during cardiac arrest patients’ rewarming period. Methods: This study was conducted in an emergency intensive care unit of a tertiary referral hospital. Blood samples were collected on admission (0 h) and 24, 26, 28, and 32 h after return of spontaneous circulation. Eight inflammatory cytokines (E-selectin, soluble ICAM, interleukin-10, interleukin- 1ra, interleukin-6, interleukin-8, monocyte chemotactic protein-1, and tumor necrosis factor-α) were measured. Results: Twenty-eight patients were enrolled and completed a protocol of 24 h hypothermia and 8h rewarming. Eight patients were of the good cerebral performance category (CPC) and 20 of the bad. The IL-1Ra level in the good CPC group was statistically changed at 26 (p=0.039) and 28 (p= 0.003) but not at 32 h (p=0.632) when compared with the 24 h level. The IL-10 levels of the bad CPC group were decreased at 26 (p=0.017) and 28h (p=0.013) but not at 32 h (p=0.074) when compared with 24 h. None of the other cytokines showed meaningful differences during the rewarming period. Conclusion: Change in inflammatory-cytokine-level change during the rewarming period is not significant.

Purpose: To know the feasibility of ED observation unit treatment for acute pyelonephritis (APN) in women with diabetes or older age. Methods: From January 2006 to February 2007, we enrolled adult women APN patients with diabetes or older age (65 years old or more) prospectively, and managed them with predetermined written protocol including intravenous ciprofloxacin, anti-pyretics, anti-emetics, and hydration. After 6 hour observation, we evaluated the patients to be admitted or not according to the protocol (the after group). From May 2003 to December 2005, data of ED visited APN patients were collected retrospectively for comparison (the before group). We compared the admission rates, re-visits to ED, and ultimate admission rates in older or diabetic patients in the before- and after-protocol group. Results: 55 and 39 diabetic cases were enrolled respectively in the before- and after group respectively. The initial admission rate in diabetic patients was significantly lower in the after group (31.6% vs 76.4% p<0.001) and the revisit rate was not significantly different (p=0.586). In older patients, 95 and 57 cases were enrolled respectively. The initial admission rate was significantly lower in after group (69.5% vs 42.1%) and the revisit rate was not statistically different (p=0.452). Conclusion: For diabetic and older women patients with APN, ED observation unit treatment protocol can be applied safely and shows significant decrease in admission rate.

AI Speaker 대중화를 위한 콘텐츠 서비스 선택 요인에 관한 연구 – AHP(계층화 분석)를 중심으로

The domestic AI speaker market is growing into a full-fledged early audience market beyond the innovative consumer market with 3 million domestic supply units at the end of 2018, but the reality is that for various reasons, we are not satisfied with the use. There are many previous papers on AI Speaker, but the majority of research so far tends to be biased towards the acceptance of the device's own performance. Many changes are being made, such as OTT providers trying to secure the market through collaboration with AI speaker providers. This study tried to identify the priorities for content services, which can be another major selection factor for AI speakers, excluding the factors of unsatisfactory technology. First, this study identified the priorities among AI speaker selection factors using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), based on the AI ​​speaker selection factors derived through literature research. The most important hierarchical factor are Concierge Service, Education Service, and Entertainment Service order in AI speaker selection, and the primary content among the individual factors was the one that ranked weather/temperature/fine dust (11.6%) and child caring content was in the second place (10.8%), and then music service was in the third place (9.8%). The three top priorities were derived from the items in the top tier 1, 2 and 3 priorities. Of the total 15 individual services, 6 sub-layers of Concierge Service (weather/temperature/fine dust, news, voice schedule notification) and Education Service (foreign language, toddler, reading books) were in the top 8, and two of the Entertainment Service Music service and movie service ranked third and sixth. 국내 AI Speaker 시장은 18년말 국내 보급대수 300만대로 혁신소비자 시장을 넘어 본격적인 조기 수용자 시장으로 성장하고 있지만, 여러 이유로 사용에 만족함을 느끼지 못하는 것이 현실이다. AI Speaker에 대한 많은 선행논문이 나오고 있지만, 지금까지 대다수의 연구는 기기 자체 성능에 대한 수용여부에 치우쳐 있는 경향이 있다, Covid-19시대에 이전 보다 많은 시간을 집안에서 거주를 하게 되고, 이는 많은 OTT사업자들이 AI스피커 사업자와의 협업을 통한 시장 확보를 노력 하는 등의 많은 변화가 이루어지고 있는 오늘의 상황에서, 본 연구는 아직 불만족적인 기술에 대한 요인은 배제하고 AI스피커의 또 하나의 주요 선택 요인이 될 수 있는 콘텐츠 서비스에 대한 우선순위를 파악하고자 하였다. 먼저, 본 연구는 문헌연구를 통해 도출된 AI스피커 선택 요인을 바탕으로, AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)를 이용하여 AI스피커 선택 요인 간 우선순위를 파악하였다. AI스피커 선택에 있어서 가장 중요한 상위계층 요인은 Concierge Service, Education Service, Entertainment Service순서였고, 개별 요인 중 우선순위로 선정된 요인은 1순위로 날씨/기온/미세먼지 (11.6%)를 알리는 기능이 주요 요인이었고, 그 다음으로 2순위 육아 컨텐츠(10.8%), 3순위는 음악 서비스(9.8%)로 분석되었다. 상위 우선순위 3개는 상위 계층 1, 2, 3 우선순위에 있는 항목에서 도출되었다. 전체 15개 개별 서비스 중 Concierge Service(날씨/기온/미세먼지, 뉴스, 음성일정 알림)와 Education Service(외국어, 유아, 책읽기)의 하위계층 6개는 상위 8위 안에 들었으며, Entertainment Service의 두 가지 음악서비스와 영화서비스는 3위와 6위에 랭크되었다.

Vitamin C Deficiency of Korean Homeless Patients Visiting to Emergency Department with Acute Alcohol Intoxication

Vitamins are essential micronutrients for maintenance of tissue functions. Vitamin deficiency is one of the most serious and common health problems among both chronic alcoholics and the homeless. However, the vitamin-level statuses of such people have been little studied. We evaluated the actual vitamin statuses of alcoholic homeless patients who visited an emergency department (ED). In this study the blood levels of vitamins B1, B12, B6, and C of 217 alcoholic homeless patients were evaluated retrospectively in a single urban teaching hospital ED. Vitamin C deficiency was observed in 84.3% of the patients. The vitamin B1, B12, and B6 deficiency rates, meanwhile, were 2.3%, 2.3%, and 23.5%, respectively. Comparing the admitted patients with those who were discharged, only the vitamin C level was lower. (P = 0.003) In fact, the patients’ vitamin C levels were markedly diminished, vitamin C replacement therapy for homeless patients should be considered in EDs.

Mme. Roland(Marie-Jeanne Roland, 1754-93) is recognised as the only woman besides Marie-Anotinette to have exerted an undeniable influence on revolutionary politics. Mme. Roland accompanied Roland to Paris in February 1791 when he was sent on a political mission by the Lyon Commune. During the six months of this mission, Mme. Roland established her first political salon. In her salon some Girondists and other Jacobins, but as yet confounded under the common denomination of patriots, began to unite and form the nucleus of a great republian idea. It was in the salon that they compounded their opinion. Roland became minister of interior in the Girondist government that was in power from March to June in 1792, and consequently Mme. Roland s salon became the social and political hub of the new government. During this first Roland ministry, Mme. Roland s influence was largely indirect, though she is generally credited with having an important part in preparing the letter by which Roland challenged Louis ⅩⅥ to accept the emergency war measures. During Roland s second term as minister of interior(August 10, 1792 - January 22, 1793), Mme. Roland s role became more open and direct. She had special interest in and influence over the Bureau d esprit Publique. This bureau proved a potent and dangerous political weapon and became a major focus of the rapidly growing radical opposition to the Rolands and their Girondist associates. As the political struggle between Girondists and Montagnards approached its vortex, Mme. Roland was arrested on the night of May 31, 1793. From this time until November 8, when she was executed, Mme. Roland was imprisoned, principally in the Abbaye, writing her memoirs, a remarkable personal account of her life and beliefs. Apocryphal, perhaps, but characteristic and fitting was the remark she is claimed to have addressed to David s statue of Liberty as she approached the Guillotine: Oh Liberty, what crimes are committed in thy name!
