Background: The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test is important for the confirmatory diagnosis of tuberculosis (TB) caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The aim of this study was to analyze the yield of repeated PCR testing in patients with confirmed pulmonary TB. Methods: The medical records of 130 patients, who had more than two consecutive PCR tests and a M. tuberculosis- positive sputum culture from August, 2006 to December, 2007, were retrospectively reviewed for the purposes of this study. A positive TB-PCR test was defined as at least one positive test result. Results: The cumulative positive PCR test rate was 80% (104/130), with gradually increasing rates of positive findings upon the first, second and third TB-PCR tests with 52.3%, 68.5% and 75.4%, respectively. However, further testing did not increase the positive rate further. Conclusion: Repeated PCR testing at least three times for M. tuberculosis is helpful for diagnosis of pulmonary TB.

본 연구는 가축용 생균제로서 이용성이 우수한 Lactobacillus plantarum과 Lactobacillus reuteri의 대량생산을 위한 경제적 최적 배지조성을 도출하기 위하여 수행되었다. 두 균주의 배양을 위한 배지성분 요인들은 유산균 배지로 알려진 MRS broth를 기준으로 하여, sucrose, glucose, molasses, yeast extract, corn steep liquor, soy peptone, dipotassium phosphate, manganese chloride, magnesium chloride, tween 80, sodium chloride, sodium acetate, ammonium citrate, sodium sulphate 및 ferrous sulphate 등 총 15가지를 선택하였다. 각 배지성분들이 각 균주들의 세포성장에 미치는 요인분석은 20개의 실험으로 구성된 Plackett-Burman design 방법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 L. plantarum의 성장에 있어서는 sucrose, glucose, molasses, yeast extract, corn steep liquor, soy peptone, sodium acetate, ammonium citrate 등이 긍정적인 효과(positive effect)를 나타내었다. L. reuteri의 경우, yeast extract, soy peptone, K2PHO4, tween 80에서 수준간의 격차가 큰 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 두 가지 균주들에서 얻어진 표준화된 통합적 효과의 주 효과를 분석한 결과, sucrose, yeast extract, soy peptone에서 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 최종적으로 L. plantarum과 L. reuteri 두 균주에 공통적으로 적용할 수 있는 유효 배지 성분들로 sucrose (20.0 g/l), glucose (5.0 g/l), soy peptone (11.0 g/l), yeast extract (5.0 g/l), K2HPO4 (0.2 g/l), CH3COONa (2 g/l) 및 MgCl2 (0.02 g/l)를 선택하였다. This study was conducted to develop an economical optimum medium composition for the mass production of Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus reuteri, livestock probiotics. Medium ingredient factors were selected on the basis of MRS broth composition, and the 15 ingredient variables were as follows: sucrose, glucose, molasses, yeast extract, corn steep liquor, soy peptone, dipotassium phosphate, manganese chloride, magnesium chloride, tween 80, sodium chloride, sodium acetate, ammonium citrate, sodium sulphate, and ferrous sulphate. The Plackett Burman design, consisting of 20 runs, was employed for the analysis of ingredient effects on cell growth of L. plantarum and L. reuteri. As a result, sucrose, glucose, molasses, yeast extract, corn steep liquor, soy peptone, sodium acetate, and ammonium citrate positively influenced the growth of L. plantarum. Additionally, yeast extract, soy peptone, K2PHO4, and tween 80 positively influenced the growth of L. reuteri. Positive effects were found from sucrose, yeast extract, and soy peptone in the integrated analysis of the effects of both L. plantarum and L. reuteri. Finally, effective medium components for both strains were found as follows: sucrose (20.0 g/l), glucose (5.0 g/l), soy peptone (11.0 g/l), yeast extract (5.0 g/l), K2HPO4 (0.2 g/l), CH3COONa (2 g/l), and MgCl2 (0.02 g/l).
점포선택속성이 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 6개 메이저 브랜드 커피전문점을 중심으로

본 연구는 커피 시장에 대한 시장 규모가 커지고 점차 확대되고 있는 대형 브랜드 커피 전문점을 중심으로 점포선택 속성(가격, 종업원서비스, 점포의 입지, 점포 분위기)을 4가지로 규정하여, 그 선택속성들과 커피전문점 이용자의 특성이 어떠한 관계가 있는 가를 알아보자 하였으며, 또한 커피전문점의 브랜드 태도에는 어떠한 영향을 미치는 바를 조사하였다. 그 결과 이용자의 특성에 따라 차이가 났지만 점포선택속성 중 점포의 분위기와 점포입지가 점포선택 속성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 커피전문점이 충성고객을 확보하기 위해 어떠한 속성에 중점을 두어야 하며 아울러 소비자의 욕구에 부합되는 선택 속성을 연구하고자 한다. In this study, a growing market for the Coffee Market is gradually expanding into a large Brand Coffee Shops around the selection attributes (Price, Employee services, Location of stores, Store atmosphere), select coffee shops by the specification of property into four , and select the properties and characteristics of the user according to the Coffee shop was let differences, the resulting coffee shops about the impact on brand attitudes were investigated. As a result, the difference due to the inherent characteristics of the user's selection of the properties of a stomach stores the atmosphere of the store, select the Stores and Shops located on the property showed that the most affecting. This study used a coffee shop-effective customer acquisition and revenue growth offer an alternative to sex, age, occupation, income, region, select coffee shops due to differences in the properties were examined.

Varicella-zoster virus(VZV) is, known to be an unstable virus. Infectious cells infect directly adjacent cells and VZV has the strongly cell-associated nature. Kinetics analysis of VZV proliferation shows different experimental values due to the experimental sensitivity of VZV. So the prediction of exact yield of VZV is difficult. In order to solve this problem, a theoretical model is repuired to estimate more precise yield of VZV. The yield of VZV is related to multiplicity of infection(MOI) and time of culture in the proliferation of VZV. A model was developed by using the finite element method considering the cell-to-cell infection characteristic of VZV. The spreading time of plaque forming cells to the neighboring cells was determined as 8 hours by several experiments. It was assumed that plaque forming cells to lost infectivity within 48 hours after it was infected. From the simulation of two-dimensional model used in this work, it was confirmed that the maximum yield of VZV could be obtained at the MOI of 1:10, which corresponded with experimental results. The VZV propagation model can be extended to future 3-dimensional model which is closer to real VZV propagation.

This study is to examine influencing factors of purchasing behavior of eco-friendly products in terms of the value, belief and norm of consumers, and to propose an integrated model on the structural relationship among these factors based on the Value-Belief-Norm (VBN) model. This study not only has a contribution in terms of theory as it applied the VBN theory, which has not been studied in Korea yet, to the study of consumer behavior on eco-friendly products, but it also has a practical implication in terms of marketing as it tested a study model on purchasers of eco-friendly products and presented its results. The research results are as follows: First, the egoistic value did not significantly affect belief on the environment of eco-friendly products, while the global (altruism and ecologism) value significantly affected belief on the environment of eco-friendly products. Second, the altruistic value significantly affected personal norm, and so did the global (altruism and ecologism) value. Finally, belief on the environment of eco-friendly products significantly affected personal norm, and as a consequence, personal normsignificantly affected pro-environmental behavior.

한탄바이러스의 내피 단백질 (N)은 이 바이러스에 대한 중요한 항원으로 작용하지만 신증후출혈열 예방과 관련된 작용은 명확히 알려져 있지 않다. 본 연구는 이러한 내피 단백질이 한탄바이러스에 대한 중화 항체를 유도할 수 있는가 하는 관점에서 수행되었다. 한탄바이러스의 내피 단백질을 대장균에서 용해된 형태로 발현하고 이를 단클론 항체를 이용한 면역친화 컬럼으로 분리 정제하였다. 정제된 내피 단백질을 기니픽에 면역하여 항혈청을 얻고 이것의 한탄바이러스에 대한 중화능력을 중화항체 플락 감소법 (plaque reduction neutralization test)을 이용하여 조사한 결과 최고 1:160의 중화능이 있음을 관찰하였다. 이는 한탄바이러스의 내피 단백질이 중화 항체를 유도할 수 있는 epitopes을 가지고 있음을 의리하며 이러한 생각은 본 연구에서 수행한 면역침강법과 N 단백질에 대한 단클론항체를 이용한 면역친화법을 통한 한탄바이러스의 정제 실험 결과에서도 뒷받침되고 있다.
