      • 대식세포의 Pro-inflammatory cytokine 생산에 대한 세포디짐의 효과

        Cefodizime, a third cephalosporine, was originally developed for use in infectious disease as an advanced antibiotics. Cefodizime has also been known to play a meaningful role in activating natural killer properties of immune cells as well as enhancing immunological parameters such as phagocytosis. Furthermore, as the infection can result in remarkable changes for homeostatic mediators, it is expected that cefodizime may initiate the strong immuno- modualtory effect. In the present work, we investigated whether cefodizime has a biphasic effect of anti-bacteria and immunomodulation via macrophage. For the study, we isolated mouse peritoneal macrophages and treated with cefodizime 10㎍/㎖, 50㎍/㎖, 100㎍/㎖, IFN-v 10U/㎖.+LPS l㎍/㎖ Cells were then incubated for 4, 8, 12, and 24hrs to analysis the expression of IL-1, IL-6, IL-12 mRNA from macrophages. The results showed that cytokines were expressed more than that of control in a time-dependent manner and 100㎍/㎖ cefodizime group showed the greatest expression as much as the positive control (IFN-v+LPS)showed at 24h. In conclusion, cefodizime can play a significant role for the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, IL-1, IL-6, and IL-12 in earlier stage so that macrophages and other immune cells can response to the infectious substances, immediately. Moreover, when such pro-inflammatory cytokines are increased, we can also expect that the enhancement of cell-cell interaction of NK cell, CTL and B cell by cefodizime can affect the immunomodulatory effect along with its major role in anti-bacterial effect.

        정신보건관련시설 입원(소)자의 주요 정신장애 유병률 : 전국 20개 시설의 입원(소)자를 대상으로

        Objectives : One of the objectives of this study is to estimate the prevalence rates of psychiatric diagnoses in the combined populations of psychiatric hospitals, psychiatric nursing facilities and homeless asylums using the Korean version of the Composite International Diagnostic Interview (K-CIDI), which is a comprehensive and fully standardized interview schedule to assess psychiatric disorders for diagnosis. The Other objective is to compare with previously studied prevalence rates of Psy-chiatric diagnoses using the results of this study. Methods : The study subjects, aged from 181o 64 years, were randomly selected from 64,582 institutionalized population of psychiatric hospitals, Psychiatric nursing facilities and homeless asylums as of 30, June, 2001. Twelve trained interviewers administered the K-CIDI to the selected respondents. A total of 1,875 respondents (male 1,194, female 681) completed the interview. Results : The lifetime and one year prevalences of any diagnosis excluding nicotine dependence · withdrawal, anxiety disorder, eating disorder, somatoform disorder were 88.2% (male 88.1%, female 88.3%), and 65.8% (male 62.7%, female 73.7%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders were 78.5% (male 75.3%, female 83.7%), and 56.8% (male 51.9%, female 64.8%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of alcohol use disorder (dependence/abuse) were 26.7% (male 37.9%, female 8.3%), and 8.7% (male 12.8%, female 2.1%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of mood disorder were 18.1% (male 13.5%, female 25.8%), and 10.4% (male 7.2%,female 16.9%), respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders were comparable with the 2001 community survey by 1.19% to 1.32%, and 0.51% to 0.61%, respectively. The lifetime and one year prevalences of schizophrenia were also comparable by 0.16% to 0.28%, and 0.16% to 0.25%, respectively. There were no significant changes of prevalence rates when correction were applied to other psychiatric diagnosis. Conclusion : The results of this study could be used for evaluating the distribution of psychiatric diagnoses in mental health related facilities and for planning mental health policies.

      • 변형된 EM 알고리즘을 이용한 GMM 기반 문맥독립 화자식별 시스템의 성능향상

        In speaker identification systems, it was proved in previous other experimental theses that the performance of GMM is better than that of any other speaker modeling techniques. The EM algorithm is used to build a GMM-based speaker identification system. This paper introduces the modified EM algorithm to enhance the identification rate. The experiments examine algorithmic issues (initialization, variance limiting and model order selection). As a result of the experiments, the modified EM algorithm achieves 95.044% identification accuracy comparing with basic EM algorithm (94.605% identification accuracy) and is shown to outperform the basic EM algorithm.

      • Streaming SIMD Extension(SSE)에 적합한 영상 압축 방식에 대한 연구

        The objective of this paper is to present the new FourCC to use the power of general CPU, to the highest degree, supporting SIMD that is being used the most. This is the form that can be applied to all the picture processing compressed by block. The most ideal form is that the used data is in cache memories of CPU. But the video needs very big memories, so there is little probabilily that the data is in the cache memories. If FourCC suggested in this paper is used, there is always the data in the cache memories. Also, it means that this form can receive profits very much in terms of speed. This paper has simulation using DCT-based vision compression that is the most typical form coding based on block segmentation. We can recognize that the speed improves through this simulation.

        The Dolby AC-3 decoder is an audio compression format widely used in DVD and DTV. The AC-3 offers 5 channels, 48KHz and 384Kbps. AC-3 required high performance PC and high performance processing power, Intel's MMXTM technology provides instructions that can significantly speed up the execution of the Dolby AC-3 decoder. This paper describes method of using MMXTM technology.

      • 두개하악장애 환자의 하악운동에 관한 연구

        ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the mandibular movements of TMD patients comparing to normal persons. Sirognathograph was used to measure five parameters of mandibular movements of twenty normal persons and eight TMDpatients. Five parameters were (1) Maximum opening during maximum opening and closing, (2) Mean velocity during maximum opening and closing, (3) Maximum opening during unilateral chewing, (4) Mean velocity during unilateral chewing, (5) Consistency of mandibular movement during unilateral chewing.Based on above results, new Mandibular Movement Index(M.M.L) was formulated and compared to Helkimo's Clinical Dysfunction Index by measuring two indices before treatment and 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks after treatment.The conclusions were as follows:1. The amounts of maximum opening and mean velocity during maximum opening and closing of TMD patients were less than those of normal persons (p<0.01). 2. The amounts of maximum opening and mean velocity during unilateral chewing of TMD patients were less than those of normal persons (p<0.05) (p<0.01). 3. Although TMD patients showed limited mandibular movements during unilateral chewing, the consistency of mandibular movements was better than that of normal persons (p<0.05). 4. Both mandibular movement index and Helkimo's Clinical Dysfunction Index, were useful in diagnosing TMD patients.       • 한국인의 온열쾌적감 및 생리신호에 관한 연구 (Part 1: 겨울철 체감실험 결과)

        본 연구의 목적은 겨울철 난방시 한국인의 온열감각과 온열환경지표 사이의 상관관계 및 ASHRAE Standard 55-74의 쾌적영역과 한국인의 쾌적영역을 체감실험을 통해 규명 및 제시하는 것이다. 유니폼을 착용한 피실험자는 온도, 습도, 기류 등이 조절되는 환경시험실에 서 2시간동안 체재하면서 매 15분 마다 전신온냉감, 쾌불쾌감 등을 신고하였다. 또한 인체의 3부위에서 피부온도, 환경시험실의 온도 빛 습도를 매 20초 간격으로 측정하였다. 이상의 체감실험을 통해 아래의 결론을 얻었다. 1) 평균피부온도가 증가함에 따라 TSV는 선형적으로 증가하며 열적으로 중립감을 느낄 때의 평균피부온도는 청년 34.0℃, 고령자 33.5℃이다. 2) TSV=0일때 청년의 중립 SET*는 25.5℃, 고령자의 중립 SET*는 27.0℃이다. 3) 한국인의 쾌적범위는 청년의 경우 SET*의 경우 24.2~26.8℃, 고령자의 경우 SET* 25.7~28.2℃로 ASHRAE St.55-74의 권장 쾌적범위(22.0~25.4℃)보다 다소 고온지향적이다.
