        A Study on Vehicle-based Durability Evaluation for Weight-reduced Valve Parts of the Dual Clutch Transmission

        A monotype valve body for a dual clutch transmission has the potential to reduce costs, weight, and manufacturing time by modularizing various parts, including those of existing solenoid packs and valve bodies, into one through the application of super-precision die casting technology. However, this approach may lead to challenges such as reduced rigidity and increased interference due to modularization and compactness, impacting both product performance due to the reduced weight as well as durability and reliability. Unlike existing products, this approach requires a high-precision thin-wall block to avoid more complicated flow line formation, interference between flow lines, and leaks, as well as a strict quality requirement standard and precise inspections including detection of internal defects. To conduct precise inspections, we built an equivalent model corresponding to a driving distance of 300,000 km. Testing involved simulating actual road loads using a real vehicle and a chassis dynamometer in the FTP-75 mode (EPA Federal Test Procedure). The aim of the study was to establish a vehicle load-based part durability model for manufacturing a mono-type valve body and to develop fundamental technology for part weight reduction through preliminary design by introducing analytical weight reduction technology based on the derived results.

        저급 망간광석의 광물학적 특성에 관한 연구

        To investigate the possibility of upgrading low-grade manganese ores, the mineralogical characteristics of two kinds of low-grade manganese ores was studied by analyzing the fracture behavior, mineral texture and thermal decomposition. The crushing behavior of low-grade manganese ores based on a study on the fragmentation kinetics of them was examined. The efficiency of grinding was checked up. It was identified that the minerals of the low-grade manganese ores were MnO2, MnSiO3, SiO2 and CaCO3. The mineral liberation effect by grinding was observed in the ground manganese ores. And it was observed that the results showed that Mn3O4 phase was obtained without reducing agents. The ground manganese ores were divided into various particle size group. The composition analysis showed that the most Mn-poored and gangue-riched particles were below 100 μm-sized. Therefore, it might be concluded that upgrading low-grade manganese ores is possible, if they are removed. 본 연구에서는 경제적 가치가 낮은 저급 망간광석 A 및 B를 대상으로 광석의 파쇄거동 분석, 조직학적 분석 및 열분해 곡선 분석을 통해 광석의 광물학적 특성에 대해서 알아보았으며, 분급선별공정으로써 목적원소인 Mn의 함량을 증가시킬 수 있는 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 저급 망간광석의 파쇄거동 특성을 광석의 파쇄 속도론적 고찰로 접근하였으며, 이를 토대로 분쇄과정에서의 효율성에 대해 알아보았다. 망간광석을 구성하고 있는 각각의 성분들은 Mn의 경우 MnO2와 망간실리케이트로 존재하며, 맥석의 경우 복합 산화물형태로 광석 내에 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 미분쇄된 망간광석은 각각의 성분이 독립된 입자로 분화되어 분쇄에 의한 Mineral Liberation효과가 나타남을 확인하였다. 이러한 망간광석은 열분해 되어 별도의 환원제를 사용하지 않아도 Mn3O4상태의 망간산화물을 얻을 수 있는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 미분쇄된 광석을 입단별로 분급한 후 조성을 분석한 결과, 맥석이 집중되는 -100 μm 이하의 입단을 선별 제거함으로써 목적원소인 Mn을 농축시킬 수 있는 가능성을 가늠할 수 있었다.

        Epidemiological studies suggest that 30-50% of patients diagnosed with symptomatic congestive heart failure(CHF) have electrocardiographic evidence of a major intraventricular conduction delay, which may worsen left ventricular systolic and diastolic dysfunction through asynchronous ventricular contraction and paradoxical interventricular septal wall motion. Biventricular pacing is an emerging therapy allowing simultaneous electrical stimulation of the both ventricles with an implantable pacing system and it improves hemodynamics and well-being of patient by reducing ventricular asynchrony. Recently, we underwent biventricular DDD pacemaker implantation in a patient with CHF and Left bundle branch block and was significantly improved exercise tolerance and quality of life in that patient.

        라인스캔 카메라 시스템을 이용(利用)한 스크랩 자동선별(自動選別) 연구(硏究)

        본 연구에서는 라인스캔 카메라를 이용한 색도인식 스크랩 선별시스템을 설계 제작하고 제작한 시스템을 이용하여 철스크랩에 혼합되어 있는 Cu 스크랩을 자동으로 분리하는 연구를 수행하였다. 스크랩 자동선별 시스템은 크게 측정부, 이송부 그리고 이젝터로 구분되며 라인스캔 카메라, 광원 및 frame grabber로 구성된 측정부에서 스크랩 표면의 색도를 이메지 프로쎄싱 알고리즘에 의해 인식함으로써. 임의로 지정한 특정한 표면색상의 스크랩만에 에어노즐을 작동케 하여 선별하도록 되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 선별처리의 고속화에 대응하기 위하여 주파수 가변 광원시스템을 제작하여 선별시스템에 적용하였으며, 최적실험조건으로 스크랩 이송속도 25 m/min.에서 철스크랩중에 포함되어 있는 Cu스크랩을 90%이상 인식하여 약 80%의 선별효율을 얻었다. In this study, a scrap sorting system using a color recognition method has been developed to automatically sort out specified materials from a mixture, and its application as been examined in the separation of Cu and other non-ferrous metal parts from a mixture of iron scraps. The system is composed of three parts; measuring, conveying and ejecting parts. The color of scrap surface is recognized by the measuring part consisting of a line-scan camera, light sources and a frame grabber. The recognition is program-controlled by a image processing algorithms, and thus only the scrap part of designated color is separated by the use of air nozzles. In addition, the light system is designed to meet a high speed of sorting process with a frequency-variable inverter and the air nozzled ejectors are to be operated by an I/O interface communication with a hardware controller. In the functional tests of the system, its efficiency in the recognition of Cu scraps from its mixture with Fe ones reaches to more than 90%, and that in the separation more than 80% at a conveying speed of 25 m/min. Therefore, it is expected that the system can be commercialized in the industry of shredder makers if a high efficiency ejecting system is realized.

        Prognostic Implications of Extranodal Extension in Relation to Colorectal Cancer Location

        Purpose Extranodal extension (ENE) is closely associated with the aggressiveness of both colon and rectal cancer. This study evaluated the clinicopathologic significance and prognostic impact of ENE in separate populations of patients with colon and rectal cancers. Materials and Methods The medical records of 2,346 patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) who underwent curative surgery at our institution between January 2003 and December 2011 were clinically and histologically reviewed. Results ENE was associated with younger age, advanced tumor stage, lymphovascular invasion (LVI), and perineural invasion (PNI) in both colon and rectal cancer. ENE rates differed significantly in patients with right colon (36.9%), left colon (42.6%), and rectal (48.7%) cancers (right vs. left, p=0.037; left vs. rectum, p=0.009). The 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) rate according to ENE status and primary tumor site differed significantly in patients with ENE-negative colon cancer (80.5%), ENE-negative rectal cancer (77.4%), ENE-positive colon cancer (68.6%), and ENE-positive rectal cancer (64.2%) (p < 0.001). Multivariate analysis showed that advanced tumor stage, ENE, LVI, PNI, and absence of adjuvant chemotherapy were independently prognostic of reduced DFS in colon and rectal cancer patients. Conclusion ENE is closely associated with the aggressiveness of colon and rectal cancers, with its frequency increasing from the right colon to the left colon to the rectum. ENE status is a significant independent predictor of DFS in CRC patients irrespective of tumor location. ENE might be more related with distally located CRC.

        희토류-천이금속계 아몰퍼스 자성박막의 결정화 거동

        본 연구는 RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법으로 제작한 1$\mu\textrm{m}$ 두께의 Fe79Tb21 및 Fe62Co15Tb23 아몰퍼스합금 박막을 결정화함으로써 석출되는 결정상의 구조와 아몰퍼스합금의 구조와의 대응관계에 관한 기초정보를 도출하기 위하여 자화측정, DSC열분석 및 X선 회절측정 등을 행하였다. 소둔온도가 40$0^{\circ}C$이상 증가하면 Fe79Tb21 및 Fe62Co15Tb23 아몰퍼스합금 박막의 용이자화방향이 시료면의 수직방향에서 면내방향으로 이행하였으며 열분석 측정결과, Fe79Tb21 박막의 결정화온도는 500-$600^{\circ}C$범위인 반면 Fe62Co15Tb23박막의 경우는 $650^{\circ}C$로 평가되었다. 또한, 이들 박막에 대한 열처리후의 X선 회절프로화일로부터 양시료 공히 Fe23Tb6 금속간 화합물 이외의 어떠한 금속간화합물도 석출되지 않음을 알 수 있었다.

        $\textrm{BaCo}_{x}\textrm{Ti}_{x}\textrm{Fe}_{12-2x}\textrm{O}_{19}$($1.0\leq\textrm{x}\leq5.0$)재료의 Microwave 유전특성

        The resonant frequency fo and unloaded quality factor Qu of CoTi-substituted Barium ferrites($\textrm{BaCo}_{x}\textrm{Ti}_{x}\textrm{Fe}_{12-2x}\textrm{O}_{19}$, $1.0\leq\textrm{x}\leq5.0$) were measured at frequencies between 5 to 10GHz using the paralleled copper-plate wave guide method. The measurements showed that the permittivities of CoTi-substituted Barium ferrites(CoTi-BF) increased from 14.7 to 23.4 with the contents of CoTi, x, and the loss tangents had values of $\textrm{10}^{-3}$ order. From these results, CoTi-BF are considered to be very promising materials in microwave devices such as dielctric resonator antennas. $\textrm{BaCo}_{x}\textrm{Ti}_{x}\textrm{Fe}_{12-2x}\textrm{O}_{19}$($1.0\leq\textrm{x}\leq5.0$)의 치환량 x에 따른 마이크로파 유전특성을 조사하기 위하여 5-10GHz 대역에서의 공명주파수 fo 및 무부하인자 Qu를 wave guide 방법으로 측정하였다. 측정결과, 치환양의 증가에 따라 유전율은 14.7(x=1)에서 23.4(x=5)까지 증가하였으며 계산결과 loss tangent는 모두 $\textrm{10}^{-3}$정도로 작았다. 이러한 제특성은 저비용으로 제조가능한 CoTi 치환형 Barium ferrite가 공진기 안테나 등 마이크로파 소자에 응용이 가능한 유망한 재료임을 보여주었다.

        Pt/Co 인공격자다층막의 자기특성에 관한 연구

        Pt/Co인공격자다층막($[Pt10.7\;{\AA}/Co2.8\;{\AA}]{\times}12$)의 자기특성 및 기록특성이 시료제작시의 조건 (sputtering gas압력, sputtering gas 종류, buffer층의 유무 및 etching)에 따라 어떻게 변화하는지를 알아보았다. Pt/Co다층막의 자기특성은 Tb-Fe-Co계 아몰퍼스재료와 거의 동등한 특성이 얻어졌으며 이다층막을 이용한 광자기디스크의 기록특성은 kerr회전각, 1.23도, 기록 power 특성, 36dB(레이저파장: 780nm)을 나타내어 Pt/Co다층막이 차세대광자기디스크용 재료로서의 실용화가능성을 보여주었다. We have investigated how the magneto-optical and recording properties of Pt/Co modulated films vary with sample preparation conditions : sputtering at various gas pressures, sputtering with Xe instead of Ar, and etching the buffer layers, etc. The magneto-optical characteristics of Pt/Co multilayers was comparable with those of currently prevailing rare-earth transition-metal alloys(Tb-Fe-Co amorphous films). On a disk of $12{\times}[Pt10.7\;{\AA}/Co2.8{\;}{\AA}]$ multilayer enhanced with 70nm silicon nitride, we have achieved a CNR of 36dB with a reading laser(${\lambda}\;=\;780nm$) power of 2.5-4.5mW for 720KHz carrier at 1.4m/s and the enhanced kerr rotation angle of $1.23^{\circ}$ at 780nm. It is suggested that Pt/Co modulated films clearly are very promising magneto-optical materials for a commercially use.
