        Background and Objectives: Maternal alcohol abuse is considered to be one of the most prominent cause of neurobiological malformations in the postnatal and adult life of the offspring. In this study, we investigated the effects of maternal alcohol drinking on the postnatal development of NPY-containing neuron, and, the influence of thyroxine treatment on the cerebral cortex and hippocampus of pups of alcohol abused mother. Materials and Method: Time-pregnant rats were divided into three groups. Alcohol-fed group A received 35 calories of liquid alcohol diet daily from gestation day 6; control pair-fed group B was fed a liquid diet in dextrin replaced alcohol isocalorically: alcohol + T4 group C received 35 calories liquid alcohol diet and exogenous thyroxine subcutaneously. Results: Group C showed prominent NPY immunoreactivity in the cerebral cortex compared to group A and B at P7. In group C, NPY-containing neurons were widely distributed in the all layers of cerebral cortex after P14. Besides, numerical decrease of NPY-containing neuron as age increases was not found in group C. However, the decrease of NPY-containing neuron was clearly observed in group A compared to group C after P14. In hippocampus, group Band C were appeared similar patterns after P7. Additionally, in group C, NPY immunoreactivity was prominently appeared in CA2 and CA3 at P14 as compared to group B. Conclusions: The present results showed the increase of intensity and number of NPY-containing neurons in cerebral cortex and hippocampus of pups of exogenous T₄ supplemented alcohol-exposed dams as compared to control pair-fed and alcohol-exposed pups at P7. It presumably suggest that NPY-containing neurons might be regulated by the early postnatal growth stimulatory effect of the exogenously supplemented T₄. Therefore, the increase of NPY synthesis caused by maternal administration of exogenous thyroxine may ameliorate fetal alcohol effect, one of the ill effects as a result of the dysthyroid state following maternal alcohol abuse.

        This study is designed to make a comparative analysis of non-seasonal professional basketball players' rates of body fats on their basic physical strength and uniform-velocity power and to present information necessary for enhancing the subjects' willingness, motivation, self-control and maturity and cultivating professional attitudes. With this in mind, the researcher worked with a total of 26 non-seasonal professional basketball players to evaluate their rates of body fat, VO₂max, uniform velocity measurement(knee) 60˚/sec, sergent jumps and side steps. Therefore I came to the following conclusions on the basis of the statistic confirmation of frequency analysis of the results by variable. ① A group of subjects with less than 15 percent of body fat turned out to have higher VO₂max than a group of subjects with more than 15 percent of body fat(p<0.05). ② There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of uniform velocity power measurement. ③ The former turned out to have high sergent jumps than the latter(p<0.05). ④ There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of side steps. The survey shows that the difference in the rates of the subjects turned out to have an influence on power and cardiovascular endurance. The bottom line is that the researcher should take into consideration individual diversity and methodological errors instead of restricting the range of body fat rates. After keeping one's body condition in the best condition with one's body weight determined, one should be cautious about an increase in body fat and control the consumption and intake of energy all the time. Professional players, in particular, should pay special attention to an increase or a decrease in their body fat so as to prevent their injuries and show effective athletic performance. This will enable the players to exercise their best performance capacity in an appropriate condition of physical structure involving skeletons, muscles and body fat required in sports. Therefore the researcher thinks that a rate of body fat has a certain influence on professional basketball players' best performance and long career.

      • 1.6[kW]급 고역률 단상 ZCS-PWM 승압형 컨버터의 특성

        본 논문은 1.6[㎾]급 고역률 단상 펄스 폭 변조 승압형 컨버터의 영전류에서 액티브 스위치의 소프트 정류 특징을 나타낸다. 일반적인 펄스 폭 변조방식과 소프트 공진 기술의 적절히 통합하고 있다. 입력전류 형상은 평균 전류 모드 조절과 지속적인 인덕터 전류 모드를 가지고서 얻어진다. 이 새로운 PWM 컨버터는 액티브 스위치의 영전류 턴-온 턴-오프를 가진다. 이는 고전력 장치에 종속된 IGBT에 적절하다. 1.6[㎾]의 400[Wdc]를 출력전압으로부터 동작원리 이론적 분석, 설계, 그리고 실험적 고찰을 통해서 나타내었다. 측정된 효율과 역률은 각각 96.2[%]와 C99[%]이며 입력전류의 전 고조파 왜율은 3.94[%]이고, 입력전압 전 고조파 왜율은 3.8[%]을 나타낸다. This paper presents a 1.6[㎾]class high power factor(HPF) single-phase pulse width modulation(PWM) boost converter featuring soft commutation of the active switches at zero current It incorporates the most desirable properties of conventional PWM and soft switching resonant techniques. The input current shaping is achieved with average current mode control and continuous inductor current mode. This new PWM converter provides zero current turn on and turn off of the active gate bipolar transistors(IGBT's). The principle of operation, the theoretical analysis, a design example, and esperimental results from a laboratory prototype rated at 1 6[㎾] with 400[Vdc] output voltage are presented The measured efficiency and the power factor were 96 2[%] and 0.99[%], respectively, with an input current. Total Harmonic Distortion(THD) equal to 3.94[%], for an input voltage with THD equal to 3.8[%], at rated load

      • ZVT-PWM 승압형 컨버터를 이용한 무전극 램프의 역률 개선

        무전극 램프(EFC)의 전등은 램프 양단에 고주파를 갖는 고전압을 인가해야 한다. 종래의 무전극 램프의 구동 회로로 선형 증폭기가 이용되어져 왔으나, 낮은 에너지 변환 효율로 인해 PWM 스위칭 방식의 인버터로 교체되고 있다. 그러나 고주파 스위칭시 인버터의 스위칭 소자에서 스위칭 손실의 증가 및 노이즈 발생의 문제로 인해 PWM 인버터는 고주파 동작이 제한된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 영전압 스위칭 기술을 PWM 인버터에 적용하여 고주파 스위칭이 가능하고, 또한 스위칭 손실과 노이즈 발생을 줄일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는, 무전극 램프 구동용 인버터의 역률 개선 회로로서 이용될 수 있는 승압형 컨버터에 있어서 소형화 및 고전력 밀도에 큰 장점을 갖는 영전압 천이 PWM 승압형 컨버터에 관한여 서술하였다. 영전압 천이 PWM 승압형 컨버터의 정상상태 동작을 구간별로 해석하였으며, 이를 통하여 영전압 스위칭 조건을 도출하였다. 또한 이 컨버터를 무전극 램프 구동용 인버터의 역률 개선 회로에 적용, 실험을 하였으며 그 결과 0.99이상의 역률을 달성함을써 역률 개선 동작의 타당성을 입증하였다. Driving the electrodeless fluorescent lamp, the high AC voltage with high frequency is required. The linear power amplifier has been widely used as a driving circuit of electrode-less fluorescent lamp(EFL). However, the low efficiency of the power amplifier causes the driving circuit to be replaced by a PWM switching inverter. In other to use a PWM switching inverter as the driving circuit of an electrode-less fluorescent lamp, the high switching frequency is required But due to the switching loss at switches of the inverter, the limitation of high switching frequency appears in the inverter. One solution to this limitation is to reduce the switching loss by using the zero voltage switching technique. In this paper, an application of the ZVT-PWM(Zero-Voltage-Transition) boost converter, which has great advantage on mini-on and high power density, to the power factor correction circuit of the EFL(Eiectrode1ess Fluorescent Lamp) inverter i s studied. The operation principle of the converter are described to identify the power factor correction characteristics of the inverter. Experimentally obtaining the high power factor above 0.99, it is verified that the power factor correction of the EFL inverter successfully achieved.

      • 저손실 스너버 회로를 이용한 유도 전동기의 서지전압 억제

        The development of advanced Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT)has enabled high-frequency switching operation and has improved the performance of PWh4 inverters for motor drive. However, the high rate of dv/dt of IGBT has adverse effects on motor insulation stress. In many motor drive applications, the inverter and motor are separated and it requires long motor type. The long cable contributes high frequency ringing at the motor terminal and it results in hight surge voltage which stresses the motor insulation. The inverter output filter and RDC snubber are conventional method which can reduce the surge voltage. In this paper, we propose the new low loss snubber to reduce the motor terminal surge voltage. The snubber consists of the series connection of charging/discharging capacitor and the voltage-clamped capacitor. At IGBT turn-off, the snubber starts to operate when the IGBT voltage reaches the voltage-clamped level. Since dv/dt is decreased by snubber operating, the peak level of the surge voltage can be reduced. Also the snubber operates at the IGBT voltage above the voltage-clamped level, the snubber loss is largely reduced comparing with RDC snubber. The proposed snubber enables to reduce the motor terminal surge voltage with low loss.

      • 靑色 사파이어의 熱處理와 分光學的 特性

        For the blue sapphires from Santung, China, the color change before and after has been investigated by UV-Visible spectrophotometry method. The blue sapphires from Shantung show four groups of absorption bands: the bands A (374, 386 and 450 ㎚) being attributed to single Fe^3+ ion, the band B (560, 579 and 704 ㎚) to Fe^2+/Ti^4+ pairs, the band C (∼800 ㎚) to Fe^2+/Fe^3+ pairs, and the D (528 ㎚) to Ti^3+ dd transitions. From those UV-VIS characteristics the origin of blue color of the sapphires is confirmed to be attributed by the factors such as Fe^2+/Fe^3+ and Ti^3+/Ti^4+. The absorption spectra of natural blue sapphires before and after heat treatment show distintive features, comparing with those of sapphires from other localities: the bands of 689 ㎚ and of Cr^3+ are not recorded on the spectra of sapphires from Shantung. The band (492 ㎚), which resulted from Ti^3+, is not shown and the intensity of the band 528 ㎚ decreases after the heat treatment. Decoloration of ink-blue sapphires are found to be successful by heat treatment with the control of annealing and atmosphere. During the diffusion process the excess components of impurities contained originally in the host crystal were expelled to the surface of crystals, enhancing the transparency of the crystals noticeably.

        소아에서 발생한 비치성 양성종양에 관한 임상적 연구

        Non-odontogenic tumors can be classified as malignant or benign. Most oral tumors in children are benign. In the Belfact series only 7.5 percent of soft tissue tumors were malignant and Bhaskar(1963) found only 9 percent of 293 oral tumors of all kinds to be malignant. Benign tumors may be classified as epithelial and mesenchymal. The most common tumor of surface epithelium is the squamous papilloma. These are easily recgnized clinically as cauliflower-like lesions. Fibrous lesions are very common in children's mouths. Many of these are not true neoplasms but are related to fibrous hyperplasia. Another common oral tumor in children is angiomatous tumor. Hemangioma occurred more frequently than lymphangioma. Cy stic hygroma, a cystic subtype of lymphangioma, is a developmental tumor of lymphatic origin. It is a considered to be a relatively rare lesion. about 50 precent of cystic hygroma are present at birth, and most of the remaining 50 percent appear in the early years of life during the period of active lymphatic growth. The preferred treatment for these lesions, except for hemangioma, is complete surgical excision. With proper surgical techniques, recurrence is not expected.

        농업인 평생학습체계 구축을 위한 농업인교육 발전방안 연구

        이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 농업인의 평생학습체계 구축을 위한 농촌진흥기관의 역할을 정립하고, 한국농업대학의 농업인대학 운영 본부화 방안을 수립하는데 있다. 이를 위해 관련 문헌고찰, 농업인 및 농촌진흥기관의 농업인 교육 담당자들의 인식 및 요구분석, 전문가 자문 및 협의회 등의 방법을 활용하였으며, 이를 토대로 도출된 연구의 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 농촌진흥기관의 농업인교육관련 연계를 위해서는 한국농업대학이 농업인평생교육기관으로 평가인정을 받고, 전국의 농업인대학을 총체적으로 지원하는 역할을 수행하는 것이 바람직하다. 이때 지역의 농업기술센터는 한국농업대학과 협력적 관계를 구축하여 학점은행제 운영에 소요되는 교육 및 이력관리를 지원하는 역할을 수행하는 것이 필요하다. 둘째, 한국농업대학의 농업인대학 운영본부화를 위하여 평생학습원의 조직이 추가되는 것이 바람직하다. 이에 따라 평생학습원의 비전, 미션 및 전략이 제시되었으며, 조직의 기능 및 세부과제가 제시되었다. 셋째, 농업인교육의 학점은행제를 도입을 위한 체계를 설정한 후, 농업관련 기존 표준교육과정 분석, 농업인 요구분석, 전국 농업인대학 교육과정 분석, 기존 농업관련 전공 교육과정 분석, 전문가 검토 등의 과정을 거쳐서 '영농 전문학사'와 '농업 경영 학사'의 표준교육과정을 개발하였다. 넷째, 고졸미만 농업인을 위한 사전학습제도화를 위하여 농업인교육의 평가인정을 통한 방안과 One-Stop 평생학습모델을 통한 방안을 제시하였다. The purposes of this research were to assign the role of rural development organizations, and to establish the strategy for the making headquarter of farmer's university. The study was performed as follows: (1) analyzing the related literatures, documents, records review, (2) need analysis of farmers and members ig rural development organizations in terms of farmer's lifelong learning, (3) consulting experts. The following four findings are the results of this study: (1) Korean national agricultural college should be headquarter of farmer's universities and be approve for lifelong learning credit. Also, agricultural technology & extension centers should run educational program for the lifelong learning credit. (2) For the doing role of headquarter of farmer's university, division of lifelong learning should be add to department of technology training in Korea agricultural college. In relation with this, vision, mission and strategy of division of lifelong learning were suggested. (3) Steps for introduction of credit bank system of farmer education were suggested. Also standard curriculums of 'farming associate degree' and 'agricultural management bachelor's degree' were developed through analyzing existing standard curriculum related with agriculture, analyzing need of farmer, analyzing curriculum of farmer's university, analyzing curriculum of agriculture major. (4) For farmer who do not have high school graduate, two solutions were suggested which are approving farmer's education and one-stop lifelong learning model.

        Recently, owing to the emergence of the importance of road maintenance and management, the maintenance and repair of itself is frequent and also the public facilities communication cable construction and water supply and sewerage construction is frequent too. So road taking work or construction is on the increase. To solve these problems, many fundamental researches are needed to establish more reasonable and concrete transfortation planning during road construction. So in this study, we establish a delay model which is applicable to urban road by separating the intersection construction and street construction of Taegu City urban road as a basic document about road construction.
