The public land is considered to be a very important factor which influenced on the developement of american democracy, especially in a study of american political history. As a basic work for the problem of it's influences to the development of american democracy, the writer attempts chiefly in this paper to make a study of the formation of the public land and the public land policies. The formationof the public land……the writer dealt briefly with the problem of troubles about the boundary lines among 13 states in the beginning of the early United States, the problems of Cession of the Western Lands, the formation of the public land and expantion of the public land. The public land policies……the writer also intended to deal with the public land policies of government; the land ordinance of 1785, the North-west Ordinance of 1787, the Ordinance of 1800, the Ordinance of 1820, the Pre-emption Act of 1841, and the Homestead Act of 1862, in laying stress upon the existence of frontier, the formations of western societies and westward movement, as a basic work for the problems of the influences of the public land to the developement of american democracy.

석탄액화반응의 모델반응으로 나프탈렌의 수소화반응을 소형반응기내에서 수행하였다. 생성물인 테트랄린 및 데칼린의 몰분율은 반응온도와 수소압력에 민감하였다. 38$0^{\circ}C$에서 입자촉매를 사용한 반응은 재현성이 낮았으며 이의 규명을 위한 다양한 방법이 시도되었다. H$_2$S에 의한 효과가 가장 관련이 깊은 것으로 추론되었으며 25$0^{\circ}C$에서 H$_2$S의 효과를 체계적으로 규명하였다. H$_2$S의 분압을 조절하여 중간유도체인 테트랄린의 분율을 최대화할 수 있었으며 반응온도 및 반응시간과 함께 H$_2$S의 분압이 황화촉매를 사용하는 석탄액화반응에서 중요한 실험인자임을 확인하였다.

The effects of catalyst pore structure on the catalyst activity observed in the catalytic hydrodesulfurization reactions of asphaltenes were studied. In the simplified model, effective diffusivity and surface area were calculated using important physical properties of catalyst and the experimental hydrodesulfurization activity was analyzed based on this calculation. The existence of a maximal point in catalyst activity observed in the reaction could be explained in terms of the trade-off between the effective diffusivity and surface area.

석탄액화반응에서 촉매 세공구조가 촉매 불활성화에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 간단한 모델을 전개하였다. 촉매의 세공수 분포에 근거하여 두 개의 Dirac delta 함수분포를 갖는 다공질 촉매구조를 제안하였으며 촉매 세공구조와 반응속도상수와의 관계를 유도하기 위하여 단순화된 반응계를 가정하였다. 균일 코드피복 가정에서 본 모델을 촉매 불활성화 예측에 적용하였으며 계산과정에서 세공율, 세공 크기 등의 촉매 특성치에 대해서는 실제값을 이용하였다. 본 모델연구에 의하면 unimodal 촉매에 비해 bimodal 촉매가 촉매 불활성화에 덜 민감하였다.

Purpose Next-generation sequencing (NGS) can facilitate precision medicine approaches in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. We investigated the molecular profiling of Korean mCRC patients under the K-MASTER project which was initiated in June 2017 as a nationwide precision medicine oncology clinical trial platform which used NGS assay to screen actionable mutations. Materials and Methods As of 22 January 2020, total of 994 mCRC patients were registered in K-MASTER project. Targeted sequencing was performed using three platforms which were composed of the K-MASTER cancer panel v1.1 and the SNUH FIRST Cancer Panel v3.01. If tumor tissue was not available, cell-free DNA was extracted and the targeted sequencing was performed by Axen Cancer Panel as a liquid biopsy. Results In 994 mCRC patients, we found 1,564 clinically meaningful pathogenic variants which mutated in 71 genes. Anti-EGFR therapy candidates were 467 patients (47.0%) and BRAF V600E mutation (n=47, 4.7%), deficient mismatch repair/microsatellite instability–high (n=15, 1.5%), HER2 amplifications (n=10, 1.0%) could be incorporated with recently approved drugs. The patients with high tumor mutation burden (n=101, 12.7%) and DNA damaging response and repair defect pathway alteration (n=42, 4.2%) could be enrolled clinical trials with immune checkpoint inhibitors. There were more colorectal cancer molecular alterations such as PIK3CA, KRAS G12C, atypical BRAF, and HER2 mutations and even rarer but actionable genes that approved or ongoing clinical trials in other solid tumors. Conclusion K-MASTER project provides an intriguing background to investigate new clinical trials with biomarkers and give therapeutic opportunity for mCRC patients.
