For the description of the elastic properties of linear objects a convenient parameter is the ratio of the stress to the strain, a parameter called the Young's modulus of the material. Young's modulus can be used to predict the elongation or compression of an object as long as the stress is less than the yield strength of the material. Conventional method for estimating Young's modulus measured the ratio of stress to corresponding strain below the proportional limit of a material using a tensile testing machine. But the method needs precision specimens and expensive equipment. In this paper, we proposed method for estimating Young's modulus using accelerometer. The basic idea comes from that the wave velocity is different as the Young's modulus. To obtain Young's modulus, a group velocity is obtained. It is difficult to measure group velocity. This is because plate medium has a dispersive characteristics which has different wave speed as frequency. In this paper, we used Wigner-Ville distribution to measure group velocity. To verify the proposed method, steel and acryl plate experiments have been performed. Experimental results show that the proposed method is powerful for estimating Young's modulus.

Polymorphism of Cefotaxime sodium

Three crystal forms of cefotaxime sodium have been isolated by recrystallization and characterized by powder X-ray diffractometry, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis. The dissolution patterns of three crystal forms of cefotaxime sodium were studied in water at 37±0.5℃, 90rpm for 180 minutes. Three crystal forms of cefotaxime sodium showed difference in dissolution rate and solubility. After storage of two months at 52% RH (saturated solution of Na_(2)Cr_(2)O_(2).2H_(2)O / 20℃), all crystal forms showed no transformation.

In this paper, we introduce weighted graph bundles and study their characteristic polynomial. In particular, we show that the characteristic polynomial of a weighted K_(2) (??_(2)) bundles over a weighted graph Γ_(ω) can be expressed as a product of characteristic polynomials two weighted graphs whose underlying graphs are Γ As an application, we compute the signature of a link whose corresponding weighted graph is a double covering of that of a given link.

노작(露雀) 홍사용(洪思容) 시(詩)와 희곡(戱曲)에 나타난 메나리적 요소(要素)와 상관성(相關性)

홍사용의 희곡에서 메나리적 요소를 발견하는 것은 우연한 일이 아니다. 그가 1919년부터 쓴 시조집 청구가곡에서 추구한 운율과 앎과 삶을 일치하려는 조선정신은 <백조>에 발표한 현대시에도 의미와 분리되지 않는 리듬과 이미지로 나타난다. 이러한 메나리 정신은 그의 <토월회> 운영 관여와 공연 활동과 연계되어 나타났다. 특히 극단 <산유화회> 창단과 극 창작 및 연출은 그의 정신을 실천적으로 드러냈다고 할 수 있다. 공연된 「향토심」은 이러한 특징을 담아냈고 희곡 「할미꽃」이나 「제석」도 메나리적 요소로 구성되어 설화적 요소와 리듬과 아이러니적 이미지를 혼용하였다. 원본 없이 줄거리만 전하는 「벙어리굿」도 제목부터메나리적 특징을 담았음을 드러낸다. 그의 메나리의식에서 연유된 조선적리듬과 결합된 정조는 후에 민요시에까지 일관되게 실천되었다. 그가 선택한 자유시와 민요시는 당시 우리문단의 서구적인 경향과는 달리 전통시의 맥락에서 창작되었고 그의 메나리정조로 이루어진 희곡작품은 불행한 시대를 사는 인간에게서 시대나 이념에 함몰되지 않는 조선심의 기품을 볼 수 있게 하였다. It is not a coincidence to find the elements of Menari’s style in the Hong Sa Young’s plays. The Confucian Chosun spirit, the concord of rhythm, knowledge and life, which he pursued in < Cheong Goo Ga Gok >, a traditional three-verse Korean poem that he has written since 1919, reveals the rhythm and image reflected in the modern poetry seen after the < Baek Jo >. This Menari spirit is linked with his participation of < Toweol-hwe > operation and performance activities. In particular, his foundation of < Sanyoohwa-hwe >, along with his writing and directing revealed his spirit practically. < Hyang To Shim > captures these characteristics, while the play < Hal Mi Kkot > or < Je Seok > also consist of menaristic elements and consist of poetical irony, mixed with the use of silent scream, narrative elements and rhythm of tale and ironic images. < Beong Uh Ri Gut >, which contains Menari’s element and conveys only the story-line, reveals its Menari characteristic from the title itself. < Heen Jeot > especially, where the story is based on the ‘Lee Cha Don’s death’ , symbolically shaped his spiritual value, interlocked with the period of the era. His fidelity combined with Chosunistic rhythm, which derived from the Menari spirit, was consistently practiced to his folk song poetry later on. Hong created his free verse poetry and folk song poetry from the context of traditional poetry, contrary to the majority of our literary circles during that period, which contained Western tendency. More notably, he linked folk songs and Chosun spirit to the creation of drama and theatrical activities despite living under the colonial in post mid 1920s. The attitude to find the national spirit and cultivate personality was practiced through his play. The play piece composed of the poetic image of Menari makes it possible to see the grace of Chosunism that does not fall into the times or ideologies of human beings living in the unfortunate times, and further provides an opportunity to find the possibility of connecting the modern drama with the traditional drama. Writing a poem during the Japanese colonial era means treading a path as a Chosun’s poet, which can be seen as realization of self-talent from the tradition like the Eliot once said.

침입 감지기능을 가진 다중모드 GRIN(graded-index) 광섬유 내에서의 광파의 전파

광섬유의 침입 감지기능을 개발하기 위하여 다중모드 GRIN(graded-index) 광섬유의 휨에 의한 광섬유내의 광전파 특성변화를 고찰하였다. 다중모드 GRIN 광섬유의 data파는 기본(fundamental) 모드로, 침입 감시용 감시파는 높은 차수의 모드로 동시에 전파 되게 하고, 광섬유의 휨(bending)에 의한 데이타 유출시도는 높은 차수 모드의 감시파의 감쇠를 가져오고, 결국 수신측의 경보를 작동하도록 한다. 또한 일정한 곡률반경으로 감겨진 광섬유에 기본 모드만 선별적으로 주입된 경우에 있어서, 다중모드 GRIN 광섬유 내에서의 광파의 전파과정을 이론적으로 해석하고, 광섬유가 휘게 되는 경우 여러 모드 사이에 결합(coupling)이 생겨나게 되는데, 광섬유가 감겨진 곡률반경을 변경해가면서 결합되는 기본모드의 power 변화를 수치해석을 이용한 프로그램 시뮬레이션을 통하여 조사하였다. 이 연구결과는 광섬유의 휨에 의하여 방출되는 데이터 도청 및 침입자 감지에 다중모드 GRIN 광섬유 활용 가능성과 광섬유의 곡률반경이 1cm 정도까지는 Asawa-Taylor의 모델[4]이 정당함을 보였다. An intrusion-sensitive capability of multimode graded-index (GRIN) optical fibers under bending has been investigated. In this system, the data light is transmitted in the fundamental mode while alarm monitor light is launched in a high-order mode at the same time. An attempted intrusion to drain data by bending the fiber results in greater attenuation of a monitor signal in higher order modes, thereby setting off an alarm at the receiver. Light propagation in a multimode graded-index fiber is also analyzed theoretically when the fundamental mode is selectively excited and the fiber is bent around a constant radius mandrel. The bending generates coupling between the various modes of the fiber. Power transitions of the fundamental mode by changing the bending radius were also analyzed numerically using program simulation. It is shown that Asawa-Taylor model[4] is valid up to 1cm of the radius of curvature of the fiber bend.

Splenic marginal zone lymphoma is very rare B-cell lymphoma, characterized by an indolent clinical course. Clinical features are moderate-to severe splenomegaly, absolute lymphocytosis, and bone marrow intrasinusoidal infiltration of lymphocyte. We report the case of a 37-year-old male with SMZL. He complained of LUQ pain, who had a massive splenomegaly and moderate lymphocytosis in peripheral blood. Immunophenotyping findings and morphologic findings were consistent with SMZL. He underwent splenectomy and received chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide for eight months. Now, one year later after surgery he has a nearly normal blood count with no treatment.
