        쓰레기 매립장 주변 농촌 주민들의 삶의 질 연구

        Objectives: This study aims to examine if a garbage dumping site has real and negative influence on the quality of life (QOL) for the nearby residents. The net effects of the residential distance from the garbage dumping site and from the garbage truck route were investigated for five domains of the QOL. Methods: Two hundred fifty seven Shin-dong Myeon residents, Chun-cheon Si, participated in a self-administrated survey. The Shin-dong Myeon garbage dumping site began operating in 1996. ANCOV A with generalized linear models and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: Descriptive analyses show that a residence nearby a garbage dumping site is negatively associated with the physical and environmental domains of the QOL. The residential distance from the garbage truck route does not exert any significant effect on various domains of QOL, except for the environmental domain. On the multivariate analysis, the residents living near the garbage dumping site tended to have a significantly negative QOL in the physical and environmental domains. However, the distance from the garbage truck route did not show a significant nor substantial effect on the QOL. The demographic and socioeconomic control variables are associated with a number of the QOL domains, and their patterns are consistent with the general expectations. Conclusions: The results indicated that a garbage dumping site is considered to be an environmental hazard among the nearby residents according to the lower scores on the physical and environmental domains of the QOL. The findings from this study provide comprehensive understanding on the residents' QOL, and they may help politicians and policy makers make decisions for appropriate interventions.

        Thin films of solid state were made from solutions of organic polymers of different molar mixtures of poly-N-vinyl carbazole (P.V.K) and 2,4,7 -trinitro-9 - fluorenone(T.N.F). The donor, P.V.K. and the acceptor, T.N.F. molecules form a charge transfer complex. Meassuring the color purity of the thin films by using the C.I.E color system we found that the color purity of these polymers was increasing as the molar ratio varied from 1:0.2 to 1:0.6, 0.2 and 0.6 being TNF. This means that these organic polymers form a charge transfer complex up to the molar ratio 1:0.6. It was also found that this charge transfer complex can be classified as intermediatly interacting one by electrical property of these polymers.

      • 低·中電場에서 PVC薄膜의 電氣傳導度와 光電導度

        The following results are obtained by applying, in air, D.C volts from 25 to 250 to the electrode of 6mm diamter and guard electrode of PVC in a thin film state(thickness 65μ) which were prepared with semitransparent Au-evaporated. 1. Electric conductivity is decreased linearly at low field and it has a constant value at mid field. This mechanism is analogized: Conduction carrier, which contributes to conduction in the PVC thin film, and transports electron by the method of hopping because of trap in that sample, is decreased by the complex operations. (1) Carrier, which was emitted thermally from donor state has been captured by initially unfilled trap. (2) Thermally emitted carrier is shielded by atmosphere pressure and ion;one of which is initially possible ion in the process of making sample and another is due to dielectric polarization. (3) These composited actions make carrier descent under Ohmic property, so electric conductivity is linearly decreasing and it shows a negative slope. (4) When unfilled trap was filled with carrier and the other operations was exhausted by increase of electric field, carrier exhibited Ohmic property and it was proved that electric conductivity shows a constant slope. 2. Photoconductivity is linearly decreased at low-mid fields and it shows a negative slope. This mechanism is analogized: Conduction carrier is decreased by the very complex actions. (1) When the sample is illuminated by UV light, hole and electron are generated by photoelectric effects there. Most of hole is trapped at recombination center in the energy gap, as well as lone pair electron which oxygen atom donated, which was adsorbed on the surfase of PVC thin film and did act as electron donor. (2) Space charge, which is due to single injection form electrode when UV light is incident on the surface of that sample, photoelectron, and thermal electron are shielded by air pressure and ion which have been mentioned already. (3) There are ion, hole and electron there, which are called heterocharge. In a word, we'd like to call the very composite operations effects of decrease of heterocharge. photoconductivity shows a negative slope by effects of decrease of heterocharge.

        Photo and dark currents were measured in thin film state (thikness 30u) which were prepared with semitransparent Au-evaporated and a 1:0.6 molar poly-N-vinylcar-bazole(PVK) trinitrofluorenone(TNF) phctoconductive polymer. Current's densities and dark and photeconductivities show linear behavier which is correspend to Schottky effect at 10 exp (2) (volt-cm)^½ after assumed theory and model.

      • (Zn, Cd)S:Cu 형광체의 발광(PL, CL) 현상에 관한 연구

        Photoluminescent and cathodoluminescent (Zn, Cd)S phosphors are prepared by firing at 850℃ in N_2 gas of atmospheric pressure for an hour. They are doped with (1) an activator CuS, (2) an activator CuCl, (3) a flux NH_4Cl, (4) both an activator CuCl and the flux NH_4Cl, an (5) not doped with either one. The crystal structure of ZnS phosphors powder is the mixed phase of cubic and haxagonal, while the powders of (Zn, Cd)S : Cu (Zn, Cd)S : Cu, Cl and (Zn, Cd)S phosphors are the hexagonal pattern under the same firing condition. Photoluminescent and cathodoluminescent cells are made with these phorsphors and their emission spectra are measured at room temperature after these materials are excited with 3650 A˚ light and cathode rays. These spectra are shifted from blue (green) to red wavelength as the CdS content of the phosphors is increased, The NH_4Cl flux is found to help the doping of the impurity energy level and it has SA center in SA emisson. The following two results are also observed about (Zn, Cd) : Cu;(1) the values of lattice parameter a are varied linearly with the molar fraction of (Zn,Cd) (2) the impurity changes with quadratic curve when the molar fraction is varied.

      • CdS 형광체의 Exciton에 기인하는 발광특성에 관한 연구

        Luminescent CdS phosphors are prepared by firing at 850℃ in N_2 gas of atmospheric pressure for an hour. They are doped with (1)an activator Ag_2S, (2) flux Al_2SO_4 and (3) not doped with either one. The crystal structure of CdS phosphors powder is the phase of hexagonal. Emission spectra of these phosphors are measured at room temperature, liquid nitrogen tempreature, liquid hydrogen temperature and 15˚K after these materials are excited with 3650A˚light. The following results are observed about CdS, CdS : Ag, and CdS : Al phosphors; 1. Luminescence characteristics of these polycrystalline consist of emission due to exciton, edge emission due to shallow centers and emission due to deep centers. 2. The peak wave length of these emission spectra shifted to shorter wave lengths at the low temperature.

        L-라이신 발효에 있어서 당밀전처리의 영향

        Can molasses, the most widely used carbon source for the industrial fermentation of L-lysine, usually contains a high concentration of calcium ions which tend to cause scaling problem in the recovery process. To remove the calcium ions, cane molasses was pretreated with sulfuric acid by adjusting the pH to 2.5~3.5. When the pretreated solution was directly heat-sterilized and used in the fermentation, a significant reduction in L-lysine production was observed. In this paper, we proved that sucrose is a superior substrate for L-lysine fermentation of that of glucose or fructose and that the above-mentioned decrease of L-lysine production was caused by the hydrolysis of sucrose in the molasses when the molasses was heat-sterilized at a low pH. The problem was overcome by adjusting the pH of molasses to neutral before sterilization.

      • ZnS : (Mn, Cu, Cl)과 (Zn, Cd)S:Cu, Cl 형광체의 Electroluminescence 에 관한 연구

        A study has been made on the electroluminescence of zinc sulfide phosphors. The samples of ZnS : Mn, ZnS : Cu, Cl, ZnS : Mn, Cu, Cl and (Zn, Cd) S : Cu, Cl are prepared by firing zinc sulfide with appropriate impurites at 850℃ for an hour in nitrogen gas. The crystal structures of these phosphors are mixed phase of cubic and hexagonal. In the case of the (Zn, Cd) S : Cu, Cl phosphors, it seems that the radiative energy of the recombination between the donor Cl substituted for S and the acceptor Cu substituted for Zn or Cd is 1.88ev. It is also shown that the peaks at 580nm may be attributable to the transitions of Mn atoms from the first excited state ^4T_1(^4G) to the ground state ^6A_1(^6S) due to energy transfer. The intensity of electroluminescence increases with A.C. voltage(v) applied according to the formula In I∝-c/√v, where c is a constant.

        Conceptual Study for Tissue-Regenerative Biodegradable Magnesium Implant Integrated with Nitric Oxide-Releasing Nanofi bers

        The excessive initial corrosion rate of Mg is a critical limitation in the clinical application of biodegradable Mg implantsbecause the device loses its fi xation strength before the fractured bone heals. This study suggests a new approach to overcomethis hurdle by accelerating tissue regeneration instead of delaying the implant biodegradation. As angiogenesis is anessential process in early bone regeneration, a Mg implant coated with electrospun nanofi bers containing nitric oxide (NO),which physiologically promotes angiogenesis, is designed. The integrated device enables adjustable amounts of NO to bestored on the NO donor-conjugated nanofi ber coating, stably delivered, and released to the fractured bone tissue near theimplanted sites. An in vitro corrosion test reveals no adverse eff ect of the released NO on the corrosion behavior of the Mgimplant. Simultaneously, the optimal concentration level of NO released from the implant signifi cantly enhances tube networkformation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells without any cytotoxicity problem. This indicates that angiogenesis canbe accelerated by combining NO-releasing nanofi bers with a Mg implant. With its proven feasibility, the proposed approachcould be a novel solution for the initial stability problem of biodegradable Mg implants, leading to successful bone fi xation.
