      • 太谿穴의 臨床 活用에 대한 文獻考察

        Literally, the mean of Tae-gye is highest brook. And on the basis of the acupuncture theory, Tae-gye point is the Soo earth point and source point of the Kidney Channel as well. In addition, Tae-gye point is one of the Yang-Returning Nine points. We were trying to study bibliographically on the Tae-gye point because Tae-gye point can be used very broadly across the symptoms in the theoretical aspect described above. As a results, we found out that according to the classical books of acupuncture, Tae-gye point is entering point of the Meridian Water as a source point and can be used at both Kidney-Sufficient Syndrom and Kidney-Deficient Syndrom. And Tae-gye can be applied to the disease of kidney or bladder that is urogenital symtoms, Also, Tae-gye is an useful option of tooth-ache, asthma, indigestion, constipation, edema etc whose cause is related with decrease of Kidney ki.

      • Identification of Redox Sensitive Proteins in Prdx II Deficient Red Blood Cells

        Red blood cells (RBCs) have been studied as models for infectious diseases, various symptoms of anemia, hemolysis, and erythrocyte aging. Although do not directly affect RBCs, other diseases may cause RBC physiological alterations that could be advanced for diagnostic aim or to convince better understanding of a certain pathological pattern. In this study, comparative RBC proteomics between healthy and abnormal conditions involve to promote aging related‐biomarker discovery. Peroxiredoxin II (Prdx II; a typical 2‐Cys Prdx) has been originally isolated from erythrocytes, and its structure and peroxidase activity have been adequately studied. Mice absent to Prdx II proteins had heinz bodies in their peripheral blood, and morphologically aged cells were detected in the dense RBC fractions, which contained markedly higher levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS). In addition, a labeling experiment with the thiol‐modifying reagent biotinylated iodoacetamide (BIAM) in Prdx II‒/‒ mice revealed that a variety of RBC proteins were highly oxidized. To identify oxidation‐sensitive proteins in Prdx II‒/‒ mice, we performed RBC comparative proteome analysis by nano‐UPLC‐MSE shotgun proteomics with relative protein quantitative analysis. We found oxidation‐sensitive 18 membrane and 41 cytosol proteins from 32 and 85 peptides containing cysteine oxidation, and analyzed comparative expression pattern in healthy RBCs of Prdx II+/+ mice (W1), healthy RBCs of Prdx II‒/‒ mice (K1), and abnormal RBCs of Prdx II‒/‒ mice (K2). These proteins belonged to cellular functions related with RBC lifespan maintain, such as cytoskeleton, stress‐induced proteins, amino acid/nucleic acid metabolic enzymes, signal transduction, and molecular transporters. Furthermore, protein networks among identified oxidation sensitive proteins were analyzed to associate with aging consequence. Consequently, we expected that RBC proteome may provide clues to understand redox‐imbalanced diseases.

        청장년에서 관찰된 관상동맥의 비죽종성 석회화와 동맥류 : 부검증례보고

        Coronary artery calcification(CAC) is found frequently in the atheromatous plaques. CAC is known to have increased frequency above 40 years. CAC without evidence of atherosclerosis in young adults is quite rare, however, CAC combined with aneurysms in young adults have been infrequently reported in patients with a past history of a Kawasaki disease in child. We report an autopsy case showing CAC and aneurysm in the absence of macroscopically identified atherosclerotic lesions in a healthy 23-year-old man. The autopsy examination revealed aneurysmal dilatation of the right coronary artery, which was connected with calcified lesion. A calcified lesion of the left anterior descending coronary artery was aslo noted. Microscopically, aneurysmal wall was non-specific except for hyalinized wall and foci of calcification. A striking histologic finding of calcified mass was ring calcification along the wall of the coronary artery. Antecedent Kawasaki disease in the past was suggestive as other reports.

        Objectives: Although there have been several reports that described characteristics for young age stroke, information regarding very young age (18–30 years old) has been limited. We aimed to analyze demographic factors, stroke subtype, and 3-month outcome in acute ischemic stroke patient who have relatively very young age in multicenter stroke registry. Methods: We evaluated all 122 (7.1%) consecutive acute ischemic stroke (within 7 days after symptom onset) patients aged 18 to 30 from 17,144 patients who registered in multicenter prospective stroke registry, 1997 to 2012. Etiology was classified by Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment criteria. Stroke severity was defined as National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and stroke outcome was defined by modified Rankin scale (mRS) at 3 months after index stroke. Results: The mean age of all included patients was 25.1±3.7 years and 76 patients (62.2%) were male. The median NIHSS at admission was 4. Considering stroke subtype, 37 patients (30.3%) had stroke of other determined etiology (SOD), 37 (30.3%) had undetermined negative evaluation (UN) and 31 (25.4%) had cardioembolism (CE) were frequently noted. After adjusting age, sex and variables which had P<0.1 in univariable analysis (NIHSS and stroke subtype), CE stroke subtype (odds ratio, 4.68; 95% confidence interval, 1.42–15.48; P=0.011) were significantly associated with poor functional outcome (mRS≥3). Conclusion: In very young age ischemic stroke patients, SOD and UN stroke subtype were most common and CE stroke subtype was independently associated with poor discharge outcome.

        기종성 신우신염은 주로 당뇨병환자나 폐쇄성 요로질환을 가진 환자에 발생하며 특징적으로 신실질 및 그 주위조직에 가스를 형성하면서 심한 조직괴사를 일으키는 매우 드문 급성 화농성 신감염으로 사망률이 높은 질환이다. 이 질환은 1989년 Kelly와 MacCallum에 의해 처음 보고된 이래 외국문헌에 약 90례 정도가 보고되어 있으며 국내에는 28례가 보고되어 있다. 수액 및 전해질 보충, 인슐린 투여를 통한 적절한 혈당조절 및 항생제 투여등의 내과적 치료와 절개배농 및 신적출술등의 수술적 치료 방법이 있다. 내과적 치료로 가스의 감소가 없는 경우에는 즉각적인 수술적 치료를 시행하여야하므로 이 가스변화에 대한 추적관찰이 중요하다 하겠다. 본 저자들은 당뇨병환자에서 발생한 기종성 신우신염 1례를 내과적 요법을 치험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하고자 한다. Emphysematous pyelonephritis is rare, life-threatening infection of the renal parenchyma and perirenal tisseue. This disease is characterized by the production of intrarenal and perirenal gas and is frequently encountered in patients with diabetes mellitus or urinary obstruction. We experienced a case of emphysematouse pyelonephritis in a 62 years old women with poorly controlled diabetes mellitus who had been managed with medical theraphy. So we report this case with a review of the referenced literatures.

        경남지역의 토양 및 농작물중 게르마늄 함량

        양질의 기능성 농산물 생산을 위하여 게르마늄의 농업적 이용에 대한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 경남지역의 토양을 중심으로 지역, 지형, 토양유형 및 토성별 게르마늄 함량과 자연상태에서 재배한 농작물별 게르마늄 함량을 조사하여 그 분포특성을 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 토양중 게르마늄 함량을 분석할 결과 성남지역 논 토양 평균 함량은 0.24 mg/kg 이었고, 마산시, 진주시 및 하동군 지역이 0.30 mg/kg 이상으로 높았다. 지형별로는 홍적대지가 0.26 mg/kg으로 약간 높았으나 지형에 따른 큰 차이는 없었다. 토양유형별 게르마늄 함량은 보통답이 0.27 mg/kg으로 사질답과 습답에 비하여 높았으며, 토성별로는 미사질양토가 0.27 mg/kg으로 비교적 높았다. 일반농작물중 게르마늄 함량은 곡류>채소류>과일류 순으로 높았고, 쌀과 보리는 각각 약 68 및 48 μg/kg의 게르마늄을 함유하고 있었으며, 단감과 배는 각각 약 11 및 23 μg/kg으로 전반직으로 낮을 수준이었다. 채소류중 게르마늄 함량은 엽채류>근채류>과채류 순으로 높았으며 특히 상추와 열무중 게르마늄 함량이 각각 약 62 및 65 μg/kg으로서 높았다. 약용작물중 게르마늄 함량을 신선초(Angelica keiskei), 토천궁(Ligusticum chuanxiong), 인삼(Panax ginseng), 삽주(Atractylodes macrocephala), 백지(Angelica dahurica), 맥문동(Liriope platyphylla) 및 도라지(Platycodon grandiflorum)에서 100 μg/kg 이상으로 게르마늄 함량이 높았으며, 선학초(Agrimonia pilose) 및 일당귀(angelica acutiloba)의 함량은 각각 37 및 30 μg/kg으로 낮았다. To investigate the germanium content in paddy soil in Gyeongnam province, 310 paddy soil samples were collected at 19 areas in Gyeongnam, Ulsan and Busan. Contents of germanium in paddy soils were analyzed in different topographies, soil types and soil textures. Average content of germanium in Gyeongnam was 0.24 mg/kg, those of Masan, Jinju and Hadong were above 0.30 mg/kg. Germanium content with different topographies were no difference. Germanium contents in different soil types were 0.27 mg/kg in well adapted soil and 0.23 mg/kg in poorly drained soil. Germanium contents in different soil textures were 0.27 mg/kg in silt loam and 0.23 mg/kg in sandy loam. To determine germanium content on agricultural product in the field, content of germanium in cereals, vegetables and fruits were analyzed. Germanium content of agricultural product was high in the order of cereals>vegetables>fruits. In case of vegetables, germanium contents were high in the order of leaf vegetables>root vegetables>fruit vegetables. Germanium contents were high with 62 and 65 μg/kg in lettuce and young radish, respectively. To analyze the germanium content in medicinal plant, samples were collected from 19 medicinal plants at Hamyang areas. Germanium contents in Angelica keiskei, Ligusticum chuan wng, Panay ginseng and Atractylodes nacrocephala were relatively high with 100 μg/kg above.

        근대국어 '-어이다' 구성의 통사적 특성에 대하여

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the Syntactic Properties of '-aida(-어이다), - h?n?ida(-어 ㅎㄴ이다) in Modem Korean in order to seek for the pragmatic function of 'ida(이다)'. Traditionally, 'y /ya(여/야), /a(어/아)' of '- ida' has been treated as prefinal ending. In this paper, however, 'ya/ya, a/a' will be treated as connective ending, because contraction forms of 'y /ya, /a' do not appear, but contraction forms of '-so(소), -o(오), -de (데), -n?i(니)' appear. In conclusion, '- ida' is generated by contraction of '- h?n?ida', and '- ida' has 'verb stem + connective ending + ida' construction. As a result, 'ida' has pragmatic function. (Chonbuk University)

        Experimental investigation of macroscopic material nonlinear behavior and microscopic void volume fraction change for porous materials under uniaxial compression

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The purpose of this study was to simultaneously analyze the nonlinear behavior and the void volume fraction change of polyurethane foam (PUF) under a uniaxial compressive load through micro-scale and macro-scale viewpoints. The influence of micro-scale factors on the macroscopic properties of PUF was analyzed, along with the interrelationships between micro-scale and macroscopic properties. The microstructure of PUF was observed by analyzing the density. Various micro-analyses were also conducted, including those for energy absorption, Young's modulus, and recovery behaviors. Internal structure changes such as those in density and degree of compressive strain were analyzed by measuring the void volume fraction of each region in the specimen under a uniaxial compressive load. The elastic, plateau, densification, and fracture regions of the compressive test stress-strain curve were divided, analyzed, and compared with microscopic analysis results. Based on the results of the macro-micro-scale experiment, we analyzed influence and change process of microstructures on the compressive behavior of the PUF specimen in detail. This study shows that internal and overall changes in the compression process of various porous materials can be predicted under a uniaxial compressive load.</P>
