        Basic upper lip thickness에 따른 교정치료 후 입술 이동량의 차이

        교정치료 후 연조직의 변화가 나타난다. 특히, 하안면부위에 많은 변화를 일으키게 되며, 대표적으로 입술은 치아이동량의 60∼70%정도 이동한다고 알려져 있다. 하지만, 이동량은 개인마다 그 양상이 다양하다. 본 연구는 환자의 입술두께에 따라 연조직이동양상에 차이가 있는지 여부를 조사하는데 그 목적이 있다. 발치를 동반한 교정치료를 받은 성인환자를 대상으로 basic upper lip thickness에 따라 환자를 분류한 결과, 두께가 얇은 군(group 1)에서 치료 후 연조직 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 mentolabial angle와 하순의 변화간에 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 두께가 평균인 군(group 2)에서 상순의 변화에 영향을 미치는 요소로는 상악전치의 변화, 하악전치의 변화, 하순의 변화, nasolabial angle의 변화로 나타났으며, 하순의 변화에 영향을 미치는 요소로는 상순의 변화, 상악전치의 변화, 하악전치의 변화로 나타났다. 두께가 두꺼운 군(group 3)에서는 상순, 하순의 변화는 전치위치의 변화나 연조직변화와는 관련없음으로 관찰되었다. After orthodontic treatment, there are several changes in soft tissue porfile. Changes appear at lower anterior facial profile area, especially upper and lower lip. But there are many individual variations in the pattern of changes. So, this study was conducted to find out that the basic upper lip thickness could be one of the factors that could influence the treatment results. The samples were composed of 43 adult patients who had their 4 first premolars extracted. Groups were classified by their basic lip thickness. In group 1(thin upper lip group), there was negative relationship between mentolabial angle and lower lip change. In group 2(average lip thickness group), upper lip change was related to upper incisor change, lower incisor change, lower lip change and nasokabial angle change. And lower lip change was related to upper lip change, upper incisor change, lower lip change. In group 3(thick upper lip group), there was no relation between both lip change and other variables.

        해부-신경생리학적 Monitoring을 통한 뇌중심 영역수술의 고찰

        In the surgery of central area, idenwg the motor cortex in front of central sulcus is imperative to prevent loss of motor function. Twenty five patients with tumors or intractable epilepsy near the central sulcus were operated on at the Department of Neurosurgery of Chonbuk National University Hospital, from September. 1991 to December 1993. An estimated localization of lesions was performed with Callosal Grid System, which is a methodolgy made available by the development of high quality of magnetic resonance imaging, digital subtraction angiography and high resolution computerized tomography. This system allowed us to be oriented to the motor cortex as well as permitted assessment of the extent of resection. This was further delineated by direct electrical stimulation, which confirmed the functional motor cortex and made it possible to maximized the tumor resection near and in the motor cortex The combination of direct cortical stimulation (functional mapping) and the use of the Callosal Grid System (anatomical mapping) allowed us to idene the spatial relationship between them as well as to maximize the tumor resection in most cases without injury to the central area, so that the better outcome is guaranted.

      • 주제학습을 통한 ICT 활용 교육 모형 개발

        In coming 21st century, which is forecasted that it will be a knowledge-information oriented society, abilities of information acquirements are required. For this, the Ministry of Education has been encouraging the business of information oriented school education and promoting application of ICT more than 10% in all classes of the 7th curriculum. Moreover, after extending applied classes into 20% by 2005, the Ministry of Education will promote editing textbooks by subjects reflecting the content of ICT application. But, actually, classes applied ICT aren't fulfilled in education fields. The main reason for this is that teachers don't understand fully ICT application model. On the basis of the preceding studies, this study designed subject-settlement class model to develop students' abilities of information acquirements. The subject-settlement class model is made up of 5 steps--confirmation of studying subjects, searching information and collecting, using information, arrangement of results, communication of information, and evaluation. By experiencing search of information, arrangement of information and creation of new information, the application of this model helps the students develop abilities of information acquirements. Nowadays, development of information communication and of computer makes the world change from information oriented society into knowledge oriented society. Future society will focus on the ability of production to create knowledge information. This study is the result presented as a part of the ability of creating information. Furthermore, the development of various learning and teaching models, which are required in information oriented age, are expected.

      • THE KOMPSAT-I PAYLOADS OVERVIEW

        Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KAKI) is developing a Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite I (KOMPSAT-1) which accommodates Electro-Optical Camera (EOC), Ocean Scanning Multi-spectral Imager (OSMI), and Space Physics Sensor (SPS). The satellite has the weight of about 500kg and will be operated on the 10:50 AM sun-synchronized orbit with the altitude of 685 km. The satellite will be launched in 1999 and its lifetime is expected to be over 3 years. The main mission of EOC is the cartography to provide the images from a remote earth view for the production of 1/25000-scale maps of KOREA. EOC collects 510 - 730 nm panchromatic imagery with the ground sample distance(GSD) of 6.6 m and the swath width of 17 km by push broom scanning. EOC also can scan ±45 degree across the ground track using body pointing method. The primary mission of OSMI is worldwide ocean color monitoring for the study of biological oceanography. It will generate 6 band ocean color images with 800 km swath width and 1km GSD by whiskbroom scanning. OSMI is designed to provide on-orbit spectral band selectability in the spectral range from 400 nm to 900 nm through ground command. This flexibility in band selection can be used for various applications and will provide research opportunities to support the next generation sensor design. SPS consists of High Energy Particle Detector (HEPD) and Ionosphere Measurement Sensor (IMS). HEPD has missions to characterize the low altitude high-energy particle environment and to study the effects of radiation environment on microelectronics. IMS measures densities and temperature of electrons in the ionosphere and monitors the ionospheric irregularities at the KOMPSAT orbit.

      • 게맛살 냉장 및 동결저장 중의 품질변화

        This study was designed to elucidate the changes in quality of fabricated crab leg meat stored at 5℃, 10℃, 15℃, 20℃, -2℃, -20℃ and -40℃. The results were as follows 1. Moisture content and pH of the products almost were not changed but jelly strength was decreased gradually as the storage time increased during storage at 5℃, 10℃, 15℃ and 20℃. Viable cells were increased a small amount at 15℃ and 20℃ during storage for 40 days, but there were no changes at 5℃ and 10℃ during storage for 35 days. 2. Moisture, PH, volatile basic nitrogen, the number of E. coli and viable cells were not changed during frozen storage for 90 days at -2℃, -20℃ and -40℃. The amounts of free drip and expressible drip were formed much more at -2℃ than those of storage at -20℃ or -40℃. Jelly strength showed the highest level of 2,200g·cm during storag for 40 days. 3. The products treated with natural preservative, e.g. Lead safety-64, were not changed in moisture content and pH at 10℃, 20℃ and 35℃ during storage for 40 days. Also jelly strength were not changed at 10℃ during storage time but it was appeared to tendency of rapid decrease at 20℃ and 35℃. The viable cells of storage for 40 days at 10℃, 8 days at 20℃ and 3 days at 35℃ were showed as 3.0×l0⁴, 3.0×10⁴, 2.0×10³ per milliliter, respectively. In case of products treated with Lead safety-64, its shelf-life was prolonged in storage at 20℃ ; however there was no effect at 10℃.

        치아 우식증의 조기 진단을 위한 QLF-D 개발

        QLF-D system composed with DSLR(digital single-lens reflex) camera, and the images of natural enamel caries and artificial caries was developed from 2 days to 14 days captured by QLF-D system. The correlation between lesion depth of the polarized microscope and luminosity ratio of QLF-D image was analyzed and the results were summarized as follows: 1. The Pearson correlation value between the lesion depth of polarized microscope images and luminosity ratio of QLF-D images was 0.969(p<0.01). 2. From Regression analysis of lesion depth from polarized image by demineralized period, the equation was y = 8.67x - 1.16(p<0.05). 3. From Regression analysis of luminosity ratio from QLF-D image by demineralized period, the equation was y = 3.53x + 6.42(p<0.05). From the results, QLF-D system can detect the enamel caries at the very early stage and can monitor the progression of demineralization and remineralization. For the convenient use of QLF-D system in the laboratory, the image analysing software was needed to analyze of interest site of enamel caries lesion. 저자는 DSLR(digital single-lens reflex) 카메라를 이용한 QLF-D 시스템을 고안하여, 사람의 유구치에 자연 발생된 법 랑질 초기 우식증을 관찰하고, 유구치 법랑질 시편을 대상으로 2일부터 14일까지 인공 탈회시킨 후 탈회 기간에 따른 상관관 계를 편광 현미경 소견과 비교 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 탈회 기간에 따른 편광 현미경 상의 병소 깊이와 QLF-D 영상의 광밀도 값 비율 간의 피어슨 상관 계수는 0.969였다 (p<0.01). 2. 편광현미경에서 측정된 병소 깊이의 탈회 기간에 대한 회귀분석 결과 y=8.67x-1.16의 회귀 방정식이 산출되었다 (p<0.05). 3. QLF-D 영상에서 측정된 광도값 비율의 탈회 기간에 대한 회귀분석 결과 y=3.53x+6.42의 회귀 방정식이 산출되었다 (p<0.05).

      • 먹는 물에서의 비소 검출에 관한 연구 : ICP-USN법과 ICP-VGA법의 비교 Comparison ICP-USN method ICP-VGA method

        Abstract The analysis of arsenic in drinking water with ICP-USN method and ICP-VGA method was studied. In USN method, wavelength of 193.696nm was used and in VGA method, 228.812nm was used. The values of arsenic of same sample in each method, MDL, RPD, recovery, accuracy and precision were studied. The values of 14 sample of drinking water were within 0.05ppm or were not detected. But in one sample high value of 0.044ppm was detected. MDL of USN was 0.013ppm and MDL of VGA was 0.0004ppm. This results showed lower MDL of VGA but RPD of USN was better than VGA. Recovery of two methods was same, but accuracy and precision of USN were better than VGA. Therefore ICP-VGA method could be used according to this result(MDL) when arsenic trace element detection in drinking water should be achieved.

      • Anti-idiotypic 항체가 Hybridoma 세포의 Anti-DNA 항체 합성을 조절하는 기전

        The regulatory mechanism of anti-idiotypic antibody(anti-id Ab) in the immune response is not fully understood. It has been reported that anti-id Ab suppresses Ab production of lymphocytes or hybridoma cells in vitro, but it does not affect the proliferation of cells or Ab secretion. We investigated whether or not polyclonal anti-id Ab regulates the production of anti-DNA Ab(lgG2a) in hybridoma cells. In addition, the effects of anti-id Ab on the proliferation of cells and on the transcription levels of lg genes were studied to elucidate the cellular and molecular mechanisms for regulation of anti-DNA Ab production in hybridoma cells. The treatment of hybridoma cells with anti-id Ab resulted in an increase in the number of cells producing anti-DNA Ab. However, there was no significant difference in the proliferation rate and mRNA levels of Ig genes between hybridoma cells treated with anti-id Ab, and those treated with normal rabbit serum. These results and our previous data suggest that the number of hybridoma cells producing anti-DNA Ab by anti-id Ab is not directly related with the rate of proliferation of the cells. Furthermore, it appears that the number of hybridoma cells producing IgG class anti-DNA Ab is increased by anti-id Ab, whereas the number of hybridoma cells producing IgM class anti-DNA Ab is down-regulated by anti-id Ab.
