Recently, fresh peanut eaten after boil is popular to korean consumer owing to its sweet taste. A new vegetable peanut variety “Ami”(Arachis hypogaea ssp. fastigiata.) was developed at the Department of Functional Crop, NICS, in Milyang in 2012. It was developed from the cross between the short stem cultivar “Satonoka” and the large grain cultivar “Milyang 16”. “Ami” which is Shipung plant type has 50cm main stem length and 10 branch number per plant. Each pod has two grains with brown testa and long-ellipse shape and dried 100-seed weight was 84g in the regional yield trials(RYT). The Sucrose and tannin content of fresh peanut are 24.9mg/g and 4.9mg/g, respectively. Functional compound content was 3944㎍/g of Luteolin in peanut shell, This variety also showed more resistant to stem rot and lodging, compared with check variety, Palkwang. In the regional yield trials “Ami” was outyielded than check variety by 9% with 10.10MT/ha for fresh pod and by 14% with 4.51MT/ha for dried kernel.
Ulnar collateral ligament injuries of the elbow are frequent among overhead athletes. The incidence of ulnar collateral ligament reconstructions (UCLRs) in high-level players has increased dramatically over the past decade, but the optimal technique of UCLR is controversial. Surgeons need to manage the patients' expectations appropriately when considering the mode of treatment. This article reviews current studies on the management of ulnar collateral ligament injuries, particularly in overhead athletes.
A coal gasification pilot plant operation with hot fuel gas desulfurization (HGD) was performed taking two coals (Indonesian ABK and MSJ) that differ in their carbon and sulfur contents. A dry-feeding entrained-bed type gasifier was used for gasification with oxygen and capable of operating at 30 bar pressure and 1,550 oC. The HGD unit consisted of a transport desulfurizer, a bubbling regenerator and a multi-cyclone. Attention was focused on attaining high carbon conversion and cold gas efficiency in the entrained bed reactor and the sulfur removal efficiency of the hot fuel gas desulfurization unit. The optimum conditions for achieving high performance of the operation are reported.
The minimum number of samples for the measurement of plant characteristics of major crops were calculated from the data obtained from the field experiments on rice, barley, wheat, soybean and sweet potato conducted by Kyungpuk Rural Development Administration.
This paper presents a postprocessing algorithm for block-coded images based on singularity detection in multiscale edge. The local maxima of a wavelet transform modulus from multiscale edges detect all singularities including blocking artifacts. Accordingly, the proposed algorithm discriminates between a blocking artifact and an edge by estimating the Lipschitz regularity of the local maxima and removing the wavelet transform modulus of a blocking artifact that has a negative Lipschitz regularity exponent. Experimental results showed that the performance of the proposed algorithm was objectively and subjectively superior.
The co-methanation of carbon dioxide containing syngas was carried out on Al2O3 supported NixFe1−x (x is 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9) catalysts for synthetic natural gas (SNG) production. The catalysts were prepared by wetimpregnation method taking 20 weight percent of the metallic component over the support, and its characteristics were analyzed by BET surface area, XRD and H2-TPR. The maximum carbon conversion and CH4 selectivity are achieved on Ni0.7Fe0.3/Al2O3 catalyst. Further, increase of Fe content led to enhancing the water gas shift reaction and hydrocarbon formation.
