Correlation between Branching Index and Boiling Points of Saturated Hydrocarbons

그라프이론을 이용하여 포화탄화수소의 끊는점과 구조사이의 정량적인 관계를 유도하였다. 각 Index들을 이용하여 얻어진 상관 계수들을 끊는 점과 비교하였다. 포화탄화수소의 끊는점을 결정하는데 그라프이론에 의해 얻어진 topological parameter들이 중요한 역할을 하고 있다는 결론을 얻었다. Quantitative relationships between the structure and boilling points saturated hydrocarbons have been derived using the graph theoretical approach. The correlation coefficients of equations obtained using indices were compared favorably with boiling point. Results indicate an important role of the topological parameters in determining the boiling point of saturated hydrocarbons.
多環芳香族炭化水素類에 의한 화학발암의 양자생화학적 해석

The interaction of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) with deoxyrkbonucleic acid(DNA) were studied by means of extended Huckel method. Assuming that the formation of a loose molecular complex between each PAH and DNA is the first step of chemical carcinogenesis, the plausible orientation of the complex formed between the PAH and the the adenine-thymine pair or the guanine-cytosine was figured out. On the basis of the most probable orientation, the charge transfer quantities of the DNA bases (A-T pair and G-C pair) and PAH complexes were calculated and compared with carcinogenicity. It was found that the parallel relationship between charge transfer quantity of the G-C pair and PAH complex and carcinogenicity exists, but not between that of the A-T pair and PAH complex and carcinogenicity. Thus, the interaction of the G-C pair with the carcinogens seems to play an important role in the carcinogenesis.

In this paper, we designed, implemented and evaluated 32-bit CLA adder with the ENMODL(enhanced NORA Multiple Output Domino Logic) logic style which is new dynamic CMOS logic. The circuit is implemented using 0.8㎛ CMOS double-metal process technology. It operates stably and the addition time is less 3.9 ns. The ENMODL logic style can improve the performance in the high-speed computing circuits depending on the degree of recurrence.
CCT-ICP-MS의 대기분진내 미량원소분석에 대한 적용성

There has been few studies of either domestic or international to apply CCT-ICP-MS for the precise analysis of As and Cr components associated with airborne particulate matter. To date, the use of CCT-ICP-MS is strongly recommended for the accurate analysis of the toxic trace metals: this is because CCT-ICP-MS technique prevents polyatomic spectral interferences involved in the determination of As and/or Cr components. Taking advantage of CCT-ICP-MS technique, the measurements of about 20 metals were undertaken in this study. The standard reference material (NIST SRM 2783) was used for analytical quality control. To improve analytical accuracy and efficiency, we selected nitric acid based on a test of three kinds of acid for microwave digestion method 1) nitric acid, 2) nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide, and 3) nitric acid and perchloric acid. When this method was employed, relative errors to SRM values of Al, As, Cr, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ph, Sb, V, and Zn fell below 20%, while those of Ca, Si, and Ti were higher than 20%. The overall results of our study show that the concentrations of As and V determined by CCT-ICP-MS were satisfied with the certificated values within a relative error of 20%, whereas those determined by ICP-MS were 10 times higher than the certificated values.
황, 산소 및 질소 헤테르 고리화합물의 방향족 치환반응성에 관한 분자궤도론적 해석

The electrophilic substitution reascivities were invesitigated for sulphur-, oxygen-, and nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds by simple Huckel MO method, separatively. It was found that electrilic reactivity index, S??, for sulphur-containing aromatic compound was related in parallel with the experimental partial rate factor contant, σ+. The reactivities of each position are predicted for the same type of hetero compounds in which N or O atom is substituted for S atom on the basis of observed good parallelism between the S?? and the σ+ for the sulphur-containing aromatic compounds.

The electronic states of the antimicrobial phenzine and its derivatives were examined by Extended H?uckel Method. It was found that the sum of nucleophilic reactivity index for trans 1,2, and 4 positions, ?? in a molecule was found to be related antimicrobial activity. The index, ??, should be applied to biological activity as well as antimicrobial activity.
The theoretical Approach for Reactivities of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon Metabolites

MO theoretical calculations based on the pertubational method of Dewar to the reactions of the biologically active arene diolepoxides suggests that the bay-region compounds have higher carcinogenicity and a higher ΔE_deloc value than does the corresponding distal bay-region compounds. Also structure-resonance theory calculations correlate reactivities and mutagenicities of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon metabolites.
교차하지 (Cross-Leg Fashioned) 유리 근육피판술의 신생혈관 형성에 관한 고찰

For the reconstruction of soft tissue defect combined with open fracture in the lower leg, free flap, especially muscle free flap which has abundant blood supply, is considered to be the most suitable method. Sometimes, however, injury to the main vessels in the lower leg makes it impossible to use a principal vessel as a recipient vessel. In such cases, vein graft or end-to-side anastomosis can be employed. To acquire a healthier vessel as a recipient,the authors performed crossleg muscle free flap, using a non-injured healthy vessel of the contralateral leg as a recipient vessel. Controversy still lingers over the angiogenesis of cross-leg muscle free flap and thus safety after flap detachment. There have been some clinical case reports on cross-leg muscle free flap, but flap survival after pedicle detachment has been known to be variable according to different authors. Because of the uncertainty of neovascularization in muscular free flap at the time of flap delay procedure,many surgeons hesitate to use a pure muscle free flap as a delay flap. Eight cases of cross-leg muscular free flap were performed by the authors using the rectus abdominis muscle, latissimus dorsi muscle and a combination of the latissimus dorsi and serratus anterior muscle flap. During the operation, the authors estimated the ratio of poorly vascularized bed in recipient soft tissue defect. Despite the high ratio of non-vascularized bed, there was no flap necrosis after pedicle detachment and ample neovascularization within the muscle was confirmed by post-division angiogran. As well, there was no recurrence of osteomyelitis. Conclusively, enough neovascularization in cross-leg free muscle flap, even placed on a poorly vascularized bed, could be induced through a delayed procedure.

<P>This study aimed to evaluate differential apoptotic response in uterine cervical cancer cells with and without HPV infection after chemotherapy. CaSki (HPV 16-positive) and C33A (mutant p53 and HPV-negative) cells were used. Cell viability was assessed by trypan blue cell exclusion test. Apoptosis was evaluated by DNA fragmentation analysis and flow cytometric analysis. Differential apoptotic responses were evaluated using Western blot analysis after chemotherapy. Decreased cell viability and apoptosis were displayed in CaSki and C33A cells after chemotherapy using doxorubicin (DOX). Regarding apoptosis-related molecules, the appearance of cleaved PARP expression was more prominent in CaSki cells. p53 and p21 expression in CaSki cells were increased. On the other hand, JNK expression was different in C33A cells (increased) and CaSki cells (decreased). CaSki cells and C33A cells showed differential apoptotic responses after chemotherapy using DOX. CaSki cells seem to be related with p53/p21 expression, but C33A cells seem to be related with PARP-JNK expression, which is involved in the mitochondrial pathway.</P>
