According to theory of phononic crystals (PCs), a ship hydraulic pipeline isolator with one-dimensional periodic composite structure is designed, which is composed of metal and rubber. The vibration of ship hydraulic pipeline can be suppressed by the band gaps (BGs) of the isolator. The band structure and frequency response function (FRF) of the isolator is figured out by the finite element method (FEM). To obtain the best frequency ranges and width of the BGs, the influences of various material, lattice constant and fineness ratio are considered, and the best structure parameters were also obtained. The results revealed that the isolator has axial vibration BGs with frequencies from 400 Hz to 10000 Hz, and the maximum vibration attenuation is up to 150 dB. The research provides a new technical method to control vibration of ship hydraulic pipeline.

In this study, the valve control ship steering hydraulic system (SSHS) is designed and set up for research on the low hydraulic shock control. As the hydraulic shock phenomenon is serious with traditional PID control, a fuzzy control method is proposed to replace the traditional proportional-integral-differential (PID) control method for low shock optimization control of the valve control ship steering hydraulic system (VCSSHS) through reasonable design of fuzzy control rules. Simulation models of the VCSSHS are set up to have a comparative research of the traditional PID control method and the proposed fuzzy control method, which indicates that the proposed fuzzy control method could greatly reduce the amplitude of hydraulic shock in the process of ship rudder position adjustment.

Zn2+ and F- ions are successfully used to modify pure Li4Ti5O12 via a co-precipitation method followed by calcination at 400℃ for 5 h in an Ar atmosphere in order to further investigate the reaction mechanism of the fluoride modification process. Zn2+ and F- co-modified Li4Ti5O12 samples are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and electrochemical measurements. After the modification process, no ZnF2 coating layer is formed on the surface of Li4Ti5O12, instead, F- ions react with Li4Ti5O12 to generate a new phase, composed of a small amount of anatase TiO2, rutile TiO2, LiF, and Zn2+ ions are suspected to form a ZnO coating layer on Li4Ti5O12 particles. The electrolyte reduction decomposition is suppressed in Zn2+ and F- co-modified Li4Ti5O12 due to the ZnO coating layer. 1 wt.% Zn2+ and F- co-modified Li4Ti5O12 exhibits the best rate capability, which leads to a charge capacity of 236.7, 227.8, 222.1, 202.7, 188.9 and 150.7 mAh g -1 at 0.2C, 0.5C, 1C, 3C, 5C and 10C, respectively, between 0 V and 3 V. Furthermore, 1 wt.% Zn2+ and F- comodified Li4Ti5O12 exhibits 96.0% charge capacity retention at 3C rate after 200 cycles, which is significantly higher than that of pure Li4Ti5O12 (78.4%).

The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the severe acute respiratorysyndrome coronavirus 2 has rapidly spread globally. Cancer patients are at a higher risk ofbeing infected with the coronavirus and are more likely to develop severe complications, ascompared to the general population. The increasing spread of COVID-19 presents challengesfor the clinical care of patients with gynecological malignancies. Concerted efforts should beput into managing gynecological malignancies in an orderly manner by strictly implementingthe measures that are specifically developed for controlling the spread of COVID-19. We havedrafted Recommendations on Management of Gynecological Malignancies during the COVID-19 Pandemicbased on our experience on controlling COVID-19 pandemic in China. We recommendthat patients with gynecological malignancies should be managed in hierarchical andindividualized manners in combination with local conditions related to COVID-19. Medicalcare decision should be balanced between controlling COVID-19 pandemic spread and timelydiagnosis and treatment for gynecologic oncology patients.

Metallothioneins are ubiquitously-expressed metal-binding proteins. Despite their potential ecological relevance, no prior reports have identified any metallothioneins in Ostrinia furnacalis or other Lepidoptera species. A better understanding of the molecular characteristics and regulatory dynamics of metallothionein genes in O. furnacalis under heavy metal stress conditions would enable future studies of the roles played by these proteins in the context of heavy metal detoxification. Herein, we identified and characterized two metallothionein (OfMT) genes in O. furnacalis, including the 147 bp OfMT1 gene encoding a 48 amino acid protein containing 10 cysteine residues, and the 141 bp OfMT2 gene encoding a 46 amino acid protein containing 12 cysteine residues. The expression of OfMT2 was found to be related to Cu and Cd concentrations in a dose-dependent manner but was unaffected by Zn exposure. Overall, these results indicate that OfMT genes likely encode metal-binding proteins consistent with their potential role in the maintenance of heavy metal homeostasis.

The Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) and the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) were simulated to assess water quality of the Nansi Lake Basin, China. The membership functions were established via the Nor-Half Sinusoidal Distribution Method, and the weight was calculated via the Exceeding Standard Multiple Method. To enhance the efficiency of extracting principal pollutant, the eigenequation was solved through the Jacobi Method, and the principal components were extracted based on eigenvalue, contribution ratio, accumulating contribution ratio, principal component loading and score. Water quality classification based on “National Surface Water Environmental Quality Standards of China (GB3838-2002) was used to assess the water quality. Considering the difference of the temporal and spatial distribution in average, water quality of Level I was 28.9%, 28.1%, 25.1%, 25.6%, respectively in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, which suggested that water quality in spring and summer was better than in autumn and winter. The order of water quality was Zhaoyang Lake (Level I) > Nanyang Lake (Level I) > Dushan Lake (Level III) > Weishan Lake (Level III and IV). There were four extracted principal components that can replace the fourteen pollutant indexes for assessing water quality. According to the annual mean data of the 1st principal components, the most important pollutions were heavy metals, including As (0.933), Hg (0.931), Cd (0.929), Cr(VI) (0.926), Pb (0.925), and Cu (0.534). It is proved that the combined FCE-PCA model could provide valuable information in the water quality assessment for the Nansi Lake Basin.

Solution-processed tungsten oxide (s-WOx) interfacial layer for efficient hole injection in fluorescent blue organic light-emitting diode (OLED) is demonstrated. The OLED using 2-methyl-9,10-bis(naphthalen-2- yl)anthracene (MADN) as emitter shows luminous efficiency of 3.3 cd/A, power efficiency of 2.5 lm/W and external quantum efficiency of 4.6% with Commission Internationale d'Eclairage (CIE) color coordinates of (0.154, 0.102). Using MADN doped 1-4-di-[4-(N,N-diphenyl)amino]styryl-benzene as emitter, luminous efficiency of 10.8 cd/A, power efficiency of 6.4 lm/W and external quantum efficiency of 7.2% with CIE color coordinates of (0.167, 0.283) are achieved. Atomic force microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy show that s-WOx features superior film morphology and non-stoichiometry with slight oxygen deficiency. Current-voltage characteristics and impedance spectroscopy analysis indicate that s-WOx behaves slightly enhanced hole injection and accordingly contributes to improved device performance in comparison with conventional vacuum thermal evaporation WOx. Our results pave an alternative way for broadeningWOx application with solution process and advancing fluorescent blue OLEDs.
