        노인복지회관의 공간구성현황에 관한 연구

        This study attempts to provide the fundamental materials for space program in terms of planning a senior welfare center by means of examining and analyzing the present conditions of spatial arrangement of each section in senior welfare center for the aged. The results of the study are as in the following. 1) The demand for new service programs corresponding to the improved quality of the elderly and various social desires is relatively on the increase. Each program in senior welfare center for the elderly should be connected in an organic manner and the organization of space should be provided. 2) The section of counseling, the first step when using a welfare center, should be located in the entrance of the building and it has to be closely connected with other section. 3) The section of medical rehabilitation is a place mostly for the elderly in their frail physical condition; therefore, it is effective to use horizontal line. 4) It is important for the room for volunteers in the section for domiciliary welfare to be arranged flexibly with the office or the room for social education, and it is necessary to consider how easy daytime or short-term care is accessible. 5) The space where dynamic programs are progressed in the section of social education should be distinguished from the section of medical rehabilitation or the room for daytime care and the room for short-term care of the section of domiciliary welfare.

      • Neuralnetwork based control of SMA actuator for the active catheter

          In this paper, the dynamics model of the SMA actuator which was used for the control of bending the angle of a catheter tip was studied. It was shown analytically that the bending angle control of the active catheter was possible by using the resistance feedback control of SMA actuator. Also, we proved the resistance feedback control was possible experimentally but the precise control is somewhat difficult to achieve. This resistance control strategy is quite advantageous to the space limited structure like the active catheter. For the nonlinear implicit SMA actuator, we conducted the neural network based control system design and compared it with a conventional PID controller.

        <P>Polymorphisms in DNA repair genes may be associated with differences in the capacity to repair DNA damage and thereby influence an individual's susceptibility to smoking-related cancer. To test this hypothesis, we investigated the potential association of 7 XPC polymorphisms (–449G→C, –371G→A, –27G→C, Val499Arg, PAT–/+, IVS11-5C→A and Lys939Gln) and their haplotypes with lung cancer risk in a Korean population. XPC genotypes were determined in 432 lung cancer patients and 432 healthy controls frequency-matched for age and sex. XPC haplotypes were predicted using a Bayesian algorithm in the Phase program. The combined –27CG+CC genotype was associated with a significantly increased risk for overall lung cancer compared to the –27GG genotype (adjusted OR = 1.97, 95% CI 1.22–3.17, p = 0.005). The other 6 polymorphisms were not significantly associated with overall risk of lung cancer. When lung cancer cases were categorized by tumor histology, the –371AA genotype was associated with a significantly increased risk of squamous cell carcinoma compared to the combined –371GG and GA genotype (adjusted OR = 2.08, 95% CI 1.09–4.00, p = 0.03). The PAT–/+, IVS11-5C→A and Lys939Gln polymorphisms were associated with a significantly decreased risk of small cell carcinoma (SM) under a dominant model for the polymorphic allele (adjusted OR = 0.49, 95% CI 0.29–0.82, p = 0.006; adjusted OR = 0.60, 95% CI 0.36–1.00, p = 0.05; and adjusted OR = 0.58, 95% CI 0.35–0.97, p = 0.04, respectively). Consistent with genotyping analyses, haplotype 4 (1112222) containing the PAT+/IVS11-5A/939Gln alleles was associated with a significantly decreased risk of SM (adjusted OR = 0.56, 95% CI 0.37–0.85, p = 0.007 and Bonferroni-corrected p = 0.049), whereas haplotype 5 (1122111) containing the –27C allele was associated with a significantly increased risk of SM (adjusted OR = 2.88, 95% CI 1.41–5.87, p = 0.004 and Bonferroni-corrected p = 0.028). These results suggest that XPC polymorphisms/haplotypes may contribute to genetic susceptibility for lung cancer. © 2005 Wiley-Liss, Inc.</P>

        마음읽기 중재가 자폐범주성장애 아동의 이야기 회상 산출에 미치는 효과

        본 논문에서는 마음읽기 중재가 ASD 아동의 이야기 회상산출 능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구는 행동간 중다 기초선 설계로 이루어졌으며 기초선 1회기, 중재 8회기, 중재철회 1회기로 진행되었다. 연구 결과, 마음읽기 중재를 사용하였을 때 대상아동의 이야기 회상산출 능력이 증가되었다. 이를 통해 마음읽기 중재가 ASD 아동의 이야기 회상산출에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mind reading intervention on the recall of ASD children. This study was designed as a single case study (A-B-A). As a result of the study, when the mind reading intervention was used, the ability of the target child to recall the story was increased. This suggests that the mind reading intervention has a positive effect on the story recall of ASD children.

        The SeoulMerto, operating subway line No.1~4, was constructed in the metropolitan Seoul with the highest population. When it was built, the design was challenged to sharp curved tracks considering the protection of buildings, cultural assets, the connection to ground roads and rivers as well as to elevated railway in some parts. Lots of residential apartments and business complex have gradually increased in the area around subway stations and railway lines according to the urban development. Consequently, Requirements of better quality of life and comfortable environment caused the citizen complain for the noise. It has become one of serious social issues. In this paper, Noise level was analyzed using noise map measured in the running train of all routes. The analysis on the noise level was conducted according to railway type, track components type, seasonal type, retirement degree of the vehicle and subway station. Especially, Noise characteristics were analyzed by noise level data measured in the inside and outside of the train with geometry types of the concrete track. This study will contribute fundamental data for the 「The Development of Sound-Absorbing Block on Concrete Track」 promoted on The National R&D Project.

        태연혈(太淵穴)의 유침 시간에 따른 체온 변화 -적외선체열촬영(赤外線體熱撮影)을 중심으로-

        Objectives: This study was performed to find the desirable remaining time of needle in the acupuncture treatment. Methods: The 21 volunteers were given acupuncture at LU9 vertically and needles were remained for 2 min, 10 min, 15 min, 30 min, respectively. The thermographic change induced by acupuncture was measured with Digital Infrared Thermographic Image at the following acupoints: LU11, LU10, LU9, LU8, LU5, LU1, and PC7. The statistical significance of thermographi change was evaluated using paired t-test and post hoc Wilcoxon test. Results: The most significant changes after acupuncture were produced when needles were remained for 10 min or 15 min. LU11, LU5, LU1, and PC7 were the point at which all of the remaining time produced significant change commonly. At LU11, the biggest change was produced when needle was remained for 15 min, while at LU5, LU1, and PC7, the biggest change was produced when needle was remained for 30 min, and the smallest change was produced when needle was remained for 10 min at all of acupoints of LU11, LU5, LU1, and PC7. The unbalance between left side and right was decreased the most largely in 15 min group. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that the desirable remaining time of acupuncture needle might be 15 min.

        치자(梔子)의 부위별 Geniposide정량 및 항산화효능비교

        Objectives : The objective of the paper was to study cutting method of Gardeniae frutus, that tends to show symptom of separations in a packing, in accordance with the comparison experiment of quantification and antioxidant effect proceed with the intact Gardeniae fructus(Gf), seed of Gardeniae fructus (Gs) and the pericarp of Gardeniae fructus (Gp) separately. Methods : The Gf, Gs, and Gp were extracted using 80% MeOH, followed by quantizing geniposide contained in each group. A MTT assay was conducted and ROS generation and NO production were measured for comparing its antioxidant effect. Results : As a result of quantizing geniposide contained in the Gf, Gp, and Gs, respectively, the geniposide content was shown to be the highest in the Gs. MTT assay showed that no cytotoxicity was observed in the groups treated with Gf, Gp, and Gs, respectively, at a dose of 500 μg/ml. The ROS generation was shown to have more significantly decreased in the group pretreated with Gf 500 μg/ml than in the group treated with LPS. The NO level was shown to have more significantly decreased in the group pretreated with Gp 500 μg/ml than in the group treated with LPS. Conclusion : As the geniposide content and antioxidant effect of Gf varies according to its each part, it is recommended that Gf should be distributed as an intact form other than segregation in packing.

        Isolation and Charaterization of Bioactive Peptides from Hwangtae (yellowish dried Alaska pollack) Protein Hydrolysate

        Hwangtae, dried Alaska pollack, is a major storage product in the fish processing industry. Hwangtae is prepared by removing the internal organs and drying outdoors during the cold witner months by allowing it to thaw during the daytime and re-freeze at night under sub-zero (-10oC) conditions and gradually dry from December until the next April for around 5 months from Myungtae. In this study, ground Hwangtae was hydrolyzed using two proteolytic enzymes (pepsin and alcalase) which produced five soluble active peptides from Hwangtae (yellowish dried Pollack, Theragra chalcogramma) protein. Two different peptides with strong antioxidative activity were isolated from the hydrolysate using consecutive chromatographic methods of Sephadex G-25 gel, ion-exchange chromatography on a Sepharose-Sephadex C-25 gel, and high-performance liquid chromatography. The isolated peptides, APO1 and APO2, were composed of 16 and 13 amino acid residues, respectively. Both peptides contained a Gly residue at the C-terminus and the repeating motif Gly-Pro-Hyp. The peptide with a molecular weight less than 1,000 Daltons (APACE) obtained from enzymatic hydrolysates of Hwangtae exhibited the highest ACE inhibitory activity. The APACE peptides was composed of 4 amino acid residues (Gly-Leu-Leu-Pro). These results suggest that Hwangtae hydrolysates could be a good source of peptides with ACE inhibitory activity. Biochemical analysis indicated that two 70 kDa peptides (APG1 and APG2) isolated from the hydrolysate had gelatinoytic activity, which was shown to be a calcium dependent protease type as showed by gelatin SDS PAGE.

        A novel method of ligand peptidomics to identify peptide ligands binding to AQP2-expressing plasma membranes and intracellular vesicles of rat kidney

        <P>Aquaporin-2 (AQP2), the vasopressin-regulated water channel in collecting duct principal cells, plays a key role in the regulation of body water balance. We aimed to isolate high-affinity peptide ligands that bind to immunoisolated AQP2-expressing plasma membrane (PM) or intracellular vesicle (ICV) preparations from rat kidney by the in vitro phage display technique. Immunoblotting revealed that AQP2 was exclusively expressed in the immunoisolated AQP2 membrane fractions (PM and ICV), compared with the nonimmunoisolated or preimmune IgG pulldown rat kidney samples. Moreover, AQP1 or H<SUP>+</SUP>-ATPase (B1 subunit) expression was minimal in the immunoisolated AQP2 membrane fractions, indicating the specificity of AQP2 membrane isolation. A phage peptide library based on T7 415-1b phage vector displaying CX7C was constructed. After three rounds of biopanning, seven phage clones of high frequency were selected, which showed high affinity to the AQP2-containing PM or ICV fractions compared with a nonrecombinant T7 insertless phage clone. In contrast, these phage clones showed lower affinity to H<SUP>+</SUP>-ATPase-containing fractions. Fluorescein-conjugated peptide labeling was associated with intracellular compartment and PM of primary cultured inner medullary collecting duct cells, relative to absent or very weak labeling with fluorescein-conjugated control peptide. Library analyses demonstrated proteins that had motifs homologous to the peptide ligands, albeit with a high probability of a random match due to short peptide sequences. In summary, we applied the in vitro phage display technique to identify high-affinity peptide ligands to AQP2-expressing membranes. Library analyses identified proteins having homologous motifs, which need to be examined for involvement in AQP2 trafficking and regulation.</P>
