Calomelas is in use in Korean medicine. The Korean medical doctors use Calomelas for eliminating toxic material(攻毒), destroying parasites and relieving itching(殺蟲止痒), etc. We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning of Calomelas. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The main ingredients of poisoning are mercuric chloride, mercury protochloride, mercuric salt, etc. The ingredients of poisoning from Calomelas mainly cause stimulating symptoms on the mucous membrane of skin, blood system, nervous system, digestive system, urinary system, respiratory system, etc. 2. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in western medicine are washing out the stomach, supplies of grape sugar, causing diarrhea, administering toxicide and symptomatic treatment, etc. 3. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in Korean medicine take advantage of herbs, such as Phaseoli Radiati Semen(綠豆), Glycyrrhizae Radix(甘草), Camelliae Folium(茶葉), Smilacis Glabrae Rhizoma(土茯?), and Hwangryunhaedog-tang(黃連解毒湯), etc. And Korean medical doctors should meet symptoms as patients call for attention. 4. In order to prevent against poisoning of Calomelas, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.

The eastern medical doctors use Paridis Rhizoma for clearing away heat and eliminating toxin(熱解毒), etc, We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning of Paridis Rhizoma. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The main ingredients of poisoning are pariphyllin, dioscin, etc. The ingredients of poisoning from Paridis Rhizoma mainly cause stimulating symptoms on gastrointestinal system, nervous system, etc. 2. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in eastern medicine take advantage of herbs, such as Glycyrrhizae Radix(甘草), Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens(生薑), etc. And eastern medical doctors should meet symptoms as patients call for attention. 3. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in western medicine are washing out the stomach, causing diarrhea, supplies of grape sugar, taking acetic acid and symptomatic treatment, etc. 4. In order to prevent against poisoning of Paridis Rhizoma, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.

The results were summarized as follows: 1.The main ingredients of poisoning are ferric oxide, etc. The ingredients of poisoning from Haematitum mainly cause stimulating symptoms on digestive system, nervous system, cardiovascular system, and urinary system, etc. 2.In order to prevent against poisoning of Haematitum, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.

The Korean medical doctors use Carpesii Fructus for expelling parasites in the intestines(殺蟲), etc. We investigated toxicity, poisoning symptoms, side effects, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisoning of Carpesii Fructus. The results were summarized as follows : 1. The main ingredients of poisoning are carpesia lactone, etc. But, The ingredients of poisoning from Carpesii Fructus usually cannot cause serious toxic reaction, and mainly can cause stimulating symptoms on digestive system, etc. 2. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in the western medicine are promotion of vomiting, washing out the stomach, supplies of grape sugar, administering toxicide and symptomatic treatment, etc. 3. The representative methods of poisoning treatment in the Korean medicine take advantage of herbs, such as Glycyrrhizae Radix(甘草), Phaseoli Radiati Semen(綠豆), etc. And the Korean medical doctors should treat with acupuncture and meet symptoms as patients call for attention. 4. In order to prevent against poisoning of Carpesii Fructus, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.

Taraxci Herba is in use in eastern medicine. The eastern medical doctors use Taraxci Herba for clearing away heat and eliminating toxin (淸熱解毒), inducing diuresis for treating stranguria (利尿通淋), etc. We investigated toxicity, symptoms of poisoning or side effect, poisoning treatment and prevention against poisongin and side effect of Taraxci Herba. The results were summarized ad follows: 1. The poisoning symptoms or side effects from Taraxci Herba occasionally are revealed. Those are mainly stimulating symptoms on gastrointestinal system and allergic reaction on the skin, etc. 2. If the patient has poisoning reactions or side effects, the patient should stop taking medicine of Taraxci Herba. In that case, the poisoning reactions or side effects will be disappeared. 3. In order to prevent against poisoning or side effect of Taraxci Herba, the patients should keep usage, dosage and notes.
