          전기방사법에 의한 $SiO_2$-$TiO_2$계 복합무기섬유의 제조 및 광촉매 활성 평가

          A series of $SiO_2$-$TiO_2$ composite sols have been prepared by the hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and titanium (IV) isopropoxide dissolved in isopropanol which was controlled by HCl addition. The maximum amount of $TiO_2$ for suitable fiber formation was about 50 mol% in $SiO_2$-$TiO_2$ composite inorganic fibers. The SEM, TEM, and FT-IR results showed that the surface morphology and crystalline phase of the electro spun composite micro/nanoscale $SiO_2$-$TiO_2$ fibers were strongly affected by the content of $TiO_2$ and calcination temperature. The SEM and TEM images reveal that the fibers had diameters varying from hundreds of nanometer to 2 micrometer. The photocatalytic activity of composite inorganic fibers was evaluated by decomposition of methylene blue, acetaldehyde, and formaldehyde in waste water which are recognized as volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

          위아래 덧눈꺼풀 교정술을 동시에 시행한 소아에서 수술 후 시력과 난시의 변화

          Purpose: To study the changes in vision and astigmatism in epiblepharon patients undergoing simultaneous surgery for both upper and lower eyelid epiblepharon. Methods: The study subjects consisted of 40 eyes of 20 patients who underwent surgery for both upper and lower eyelid epiblepharon from March 2007 to December 2008. The patients were divided into groups depending on the degree of corneal erosion. Uncorrected and best corrected vision, refractive error and the degree of corneal erosion were measured before and three months after the surgery. Results: The mean patient age was 7.40 years, and all but three patients showed postoperative grade 0 corneal erosion. Mean uncorrected logMAR visual acuity was 0.44 preoperatively and 0.25 three months after the operation. The mean best corrected logMAR visual acuity was 0.13 preoperatively and 0.04 three months after the operation (p = 0.02, 0.01). Mean astigmatism showed a significant decrease from 1.46 preoperatively to 1.19 three months after surgery (p = 0.03). Conclusions: After simultaneous surgery for upper and lower eyelid epiblepharon in children, uncorrected and best corrected visual acuity and corneal erosion were all improved.         • 휴대용 GPS의 정확도 표현 지도 제작

          본 연구에서는 현재 생활 속 위치정보의 중요성이 강조되고 있고 각종 GPS 단말기들의 보급이 증가되고 있는 상황에서 휴대용 GPS의 주어진 사양과 성능 및 정확도의 검증을 수행하여 보았다. 도심지역과 산악지역을 RTK 방식으로 측정한 위치좌표를 기준으로 하여 3종의 휴대용 GPS 단말기를 통해 측정한 위치좌표를 비교한 후 각 단말기의 위치별 정확도를 통계적 분석 후 지도상에 범례를 사용하여 표현하였다. 그 결과, 도심지역의 경우는 주위의 건물에 의해 정확도에 영항을 많이 받았으며 산악 지역의 경우에는 수목이 우거진 정도에 따라 정확도가 다르게 나타났다. 이러한 정확도를 지도로 표현한 데이터를 이용하여 정확도에 따른 휴대용 GPS의 활용방안에 대하여 사용자에게 제시할 수 있을 것이며 앞으로도 시각 장애인 네비게이션 개발 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        • 계절변화를 설명하는 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 대안개념 연구

          과학자들이 과학이론발달에서 자신들의 믿음을 견고하게 유지하는 핵과 그들을 보호하는 보호대의 개념을 가지고 있는 Lakatos의 연구프로그램을 학생들의 대안개념의 구조와 유사하다는 전제를 가지고 있다. 이에 Lakatos 연구프로그램의 핵과 초등학교 학생들의 대안개념의 핵은 유사하다는 가정에서 연구를 진행하였다. 그리고 대안개념의 구조를 탐색하는데, 견고한 핵인 중심이론과 핵을 보호하는 보호대인 보조 이론 그리고 자연현상이라는 Lakatos 연구프로그램의 기본적인 이론을 사용하였고 불일치상황을 제시하여 대안개념을 바꿀 수 있는 실험을 도입하였다. 이러한 연구 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 내리게 되었다. 학생들이 천문현상을 이해하는데 결정적인 역할인 광학분야에서 학생들이 어려움을 느끼는 것은 구체적인 지식의 부족보다는 큰 규모의 천체들 간의 관계를 이해하는 것이 부족하기 때문이다. 학생들은 태양에서 방출되는 빛을 하나의 전등처럼 사방으로 발산되어 지구에 떨어지는 태양을 하나의 천체가 아닌 가까운 전등처럼 보고 있다. 또한 계절변화의 배경지식을 알아보기 위해 제시한 항목들에서 타원공전궤도를 가장 많이 선택하였다. 이는 학생들이 계절변화의 원인으로 전등이론과 거리이론을 가장 많이 지지하기 때문이다. 이러한 지식은 학생들이 어린 시절의 경험에 의해 형성된 인식들이다. 이러한 견고한 핵들이 교실에서 습득하는 과학적 개념들을 형성하는데 방해가 되고 있다. 또한 교과서를 통한 수업 후 거리 이론을 약화시키지 않은 채로 지구의 자전축이 기울어져서 낮의 길이와 태양남중고도의 변화로 계절변화를 설명하는 경향이 나타난다. 이러한 과학적 개념으로 가는 과도기 개념은 자신의 믿음에 조금씩 의심을 가지는 단계도 확인 할 수 있었다. 하나의 개념이 완전히 없어지고 다른 개념으로 대체되는 것이 아니라 어떤 형태든 잔존되어 있다는 것을 알수 있다. This study has the premise that Lakatos research program having concepts of the core that scientists strongly maintain in the science theory development and the protection area that protects the core is similar to student's structure of alternative concept. Therefore, the study is conducted under the assumption that the core of Lakatos research program and the core of alternative concept of students are similar. And to research the structure of alternative concept, the center theory, the firm core, the additional theory, the guard protecting the core and the basic theory of Lakatos research program known as a natural phenomenon are used and the experimentation to change the alternative concept by proposing discording circumstances is imported. The following conclusion is made based on results of the research. The reason for students having difficulties in the optics area that performs the decisive roles for students to understand the astronomical phenomenon is their insufficiencies for understanding on the relation among celestial bodies in large scale rather than their insufficient specific knowledge. Students see the Sun that transmits lights spread to all directions and hit the Earth as a lamp, not as a celestial body. Also, on the item suggested to check the background knowledge on the seasonal change, students select the oval orbit more than any others. This is because students support the lamp theory and the distance theory mostly as the cause of seasonal change. Such knowledge is the recognition formed by experiences in younger years of students. Such firm cores interfere formations of scientific concepts leanrned in classes. Also, the tendency explaining the seasonal change with changes of the length of daytime and the meridian transit altitude by the tilted axis of the Earth without weakening the distance theory after a class through textbook. Such transition concept connected to scientific concept is confirmed also in the phase having suspicion gradually on the own belief. It shows that one concept is not completely disappeared and replaced by other concept and remains in any formation.

          홍삼 Ginsenoside의 Cytochrome P450 저해 활성 평가

          In the present study we evaluated comparative herb-drug interaction potential of red ginseng total powder, ginsenoside Rg1, and Rb1 by inhibition of CYP isoforms including CYP1A2, CYP2A6, CYP2B6, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, CYP2E1 and CYP3A4 using pooled human liver microsomes (HLMs). As measured by liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry, red ginseng total powder inhibited significantly activities of CYP1A2, CYP2A6, CYP2B6, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6, CYP2E1 and testosterone 6-beta hydroxylation by CYP3A4, but the IC50 values were higher than 556 μg/ml. Activities of CYP2B6, CYP2C9, CYP2D6 and CYP3A4 were inhibited by ginsenoside Rb1. Also, activities of CYP1A2, CYP2A6, CYP2B6, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP2D6 and testosterone 6-beta hydroxylation by CYP3A4 were inhibited by ginsenoside Rg1. The IC50 values of ginsenoside Rb1 and Rg1 were higher than 200 μg/ml. Based on IC50 values against CYP isoforms, ginsenosides-drug interactions by CYP inhibition may be very low in clinical situations.

          종설 : 기경팔맥 중 독맥, 임맥, 충맥, 대맥에 극혈이 없는 이유에 대한 연구

          Objectives: Accumulation point is a useful acupoint for acute pain diseases. Among the eight extra meridians, only four (Yin Heel, Yang Heel, Yin Link, Yang Link vessel) have accumulation point and the others (Governor, Conception, Thoroughfare, Belt Vessel) do not. However, there is no explanation why these four meridians do not have it. So, the authors researched the literature to look for the reasons. Methods: We investigated 10 books and 1 paper about the ``accumulation point of extra meridians`` using several search engines and researched reason why the other 4 meridian do not have it. Results : All of the 16 accumulation points are located on the 4 limbs. The four limbs have more Yang energy than the trunk. The governor, conception, thoroughfare, and belt vessels do not flow in the limbs. It seems that there is no acupoint located on deep gap enough to be the accumulation point among the four vessels. When it comes to the functions of these vessels, they are little related with the acute pain that is the main target of the accumulation point. Conclusions: From the results of this study, it seems to be reasonable that the four vessels do not have accumulation point.

          원저 : 태연혈(太淵穴)의 유침 시간에 따른 체온 변화 -적외선체열촬영(赤外線體熱撮影)을 중심으로-

          Objectives: This study was performed to find the desirable remaining time of needle in the acupuncture treatment. Methods: The 21 volunteers were given acupuncture at LU9 vertically and needles were remained for 2 min, 10 min, 15 min, 30 min, respectively. The thermographic change induced by acupuncture was measured with Digital Infrared Thermographic Image at the following acupoints: LU11, LU10, LU9, LU8, LU5, LU1, and PC7. The statistical significance of thermographi change was evaluated using paired t-test and post hoc Wilcoxon test. Results: The most significant changes after acupuncture were produced when needles were remained for 10 min or 15 min. LU11, LU5, LU1, and PC7 were the point at which all of the remaining time produced significant change commonly. At LU11, the biggest change was produced when needle was remained for 15 min, while at LU5, LU1, and PC7, the biggest change was produced when needle was remained for 30 min, and the smallest change was produced when needle was remained for 10 min at all of acupoints of LU11, LU5, LU1, and PC7. The unbalance between left side and right was decreased the most largely in 15 min group. Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that the desirable remaining time of acupuncture needle might be 15 min.
