      • 한국산 나비 目(Lepidoptera)의 발향린(Androconia)에 관한 주사전자현기경적 연구 III. 네발나비科

        한국산 네발나비과에 보고된 77종 중 북한산 12종과 채집하지 못한 21종을 제외한 44종, 670여 개체를 재료로 광학현미경으로 발향린의 유무 및 분포를 확인하였다. 이중 발향린이 관찰된 10종을 대상으로 주사전자현미경으로 그 형태를 비교 연구하였다. 1. 발향린이 관찰된 종은 Brentis ino(R.), Argyronome laodice (P.). A. ruslana (M.). Damora sagana (D.), argynnis paphia (L.), Childrena zenobia (L.), Speyeria aglaja (L.), Fabriciana pallescens (B.), F. adippe (L.), F. nerippe(c.et R. F.) 10종이다. 2. 발향린은 암컷에서는 관찰되지 않았고, 수컷이 앞날개 표면에서만 관찰되었으며, 시맥위에서만 분포한다. 3. 확인, 관찰된 10종의 발향린은 나발막(fimbriae), 경부(neck), 잎새(laminar), 자루병반(foot stalk) 등 발향린의 전형적인 모양을 나타내었으며, 동종내 개체간 변이는 관찰되지 않았다. 4. Argyronome laodice, A. ruslana, Damora sagana, argynnis paphia, Childrena zenobia, Fabriciana pallescens 등 6종에서는 2가지 형태의 발향린이 관찰되었다. 5. 본 연구에서 관찰한 10종은 Subfamily Argynninae아과의 Argynnini족에서만 관찰되었으며, 관찰된 발향린중 Type ⅠⅠ의 형태는 종간에 큰 차이점이 없었고, Type Ⅰ은 많은 형태적 차이를 보이므로 분류학적으로 중요한 형질이라 사료된다. this paper observed through microscope the existance and the distribution of the androconia of the 44 species Nymphalidae among 77 ones that have been reported in Korea, excluding 12 species in North Korea and 21 one's not collected ten species that were observed the androconia among those were chifely compared and studied through Scanning Electron Microscope. 1. The 10 species that observed androconia is Brentis ino(R.), Argyronome laodice (P.). A. ruslana (M.). Damora sagana (D.), Argynnis paphia (L.), Childrena zenobia (L.), Speyeria aglaja (L.), Fabriciana pallescens (B.), F. adippe (L.), F. nerippe(C. et R. F.) 2. The androconia was not found at the female, but only on the dorsal surface of male's fore wings. 3. The androconia of 10 species was not observed intraspecific seasonal variation and individual variation. It was appeared the androconia as general type of fimbriae, neck, laminar and foot stalk. 4. Two types(typeⅠ and Ⅱ) of androconia were observed at the species of Argyronome laodice, A. ruslana, Damora sagana, Argynnis paphia, Childrena zenobia, Fabriciana pallescens. 5. According to this study, the androconia of 10 species observed only Argynnini, subfamily Argynniae. The type Ⅱ of the androconia similar to between species but type Ⅰ was observed multitudes of morphological difference. These difference of type Ⅰ was very important taxonomical characters.

      • 동구북구산 Mesochorinae 아과(별목 : 맵시벌과)의 계통분류학적 연구 1. : Mesochorinae 속의 재고찰 A Review of the Genus Mesochorus

        동구북구산 Mesochorus속을 재고찰한 결과 4미기록종을 포함하여 총 31종을 확인하였다. 따라서 동구북구산 Mesochorus속은 본 연구에서 확인하지 못한 10종을 포함하여 총 41종이 분포하는 것으로 보고된다. 원기재와의 차이점을 추가하여 기록하였고, 채집지, 분포, 숙주목록 등을 정리하였으며, 확인된 31종에 대한 검색표를 작성하였다. 이 중 Lee와 Suh의 M. sp.1은 본 연구에서 신종임이 확인되어 Mesochorus seorakensis로 새로이 명명하였다. 종목록은 아래와 같다. Aa a result of systematic study of the Mesochorinae, a total of 31 species was confirmed in the Eastern palearctic Mesochorus. Among them, four species, M. confus, M. fuscicornis, M. rubranotatus and M. uniformis are new to Eastern palearctic regional fauna. Mesochorus sp. 1 of Lee and Suh (1991) is confirmed as new species and it named to be M. seorakensis. Thus, the Eastern palearctic Masochorus is composed of 41 species including 10 unconfirmed species in this study. Additional descriptions, collection sites, distributions, host lists, keys are provided for the species.

      • HFC-134a와 대체냉매 HFC-152a에 CF_3I를 혼합한 자동차냉매 특성

        These days, an attention of environment has been increasing all over the world. to prevent the green house effect and destruction of an ozone layer, an ozone destruction potential(ODP) be zero and a refrigerant for low global warming potential(GWP) is needed. HFC-134a, in which hydrogen is mixed instead of chlorine is a refrigerant used for automobile conditioners and its destruction potential is ecologically zero. However, it is not considered as a perfect substitutive refrigerant as its GWP is high. It is studied refrigerant mixtures in which HFC-134a, HFC-152a and CF_3I with low GWP and zero ODP are mixed by experimentally and concluded as follows; 1. with the variation of speed of compressor outside temperature and flow rate, the heat of evaporator and compressor and coefficient of performance was varied, and influenced the air conditioner. 2. The pressure of evaporator was decreased with increasing the speed of compressor and that of the refrigerant HFC-134a was higher 21% than that of azotrope refrigerant mixed with CF_3I. The overall capacity of condensor and evaporator was increased and HGC-134a was higher than azotrope refrigerant mixed with CF_3I 3. The capacity of evaporator with the refrigerant HFC-134a was higher 6% than azotrope refrigerant mixed with CF31 and the required power with zaotrope refrigerant mixed with CF_3I was higher 11% than that of HFC-134a. 4. The COP of the refrigerant FHC-134a was higher 31% in 1000RPM. when outside temperature was increased, COP was decreased. 5. Performance of HFC-134a is better than azotrope refrigerant mixed with CF_3I but prefered zaotrope refrigerant mixed with CF_3I considering the environment.

      • Heteroleptic binuclear palladium(<small>II</small>) and platinum(<small>II</small>) complexes containing 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)acetylene and 1,2-benzenedithiolates: syntheses, crystal structures, electrochemistry and photoluminescence properties

        <P>A series of heteroleptic binuclear Pd(<SMALL>II</SMALL>) and Pt(<SMALL>II</SMALL>) complexes, [M(bdts)]<SUB>2</SUB>(μ-dppa)<SUB>2</SUB> (M = Pd (3) and Pt (4); dppa = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)acetylene = Ph<SUB>2</SUB>PC&z.tbd;CPPh<SUB>2</SUB>; bdts = 1,2-benzenedithiolate (bdt: <B>a</B>), 3,4-toluenedithiolate (tdt: <B>b</B>) and 1,4-dichloro-2,3-benzenedithiolate (Cl<SUB>2</SUB>bdt: <B>c</B>), containing two square-planar MP<SUB>2</SUB>S<SUB>2</SUB> cores were prepared using (MCl<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>(μ-dppa)<SUB>2</SUB> (M = Pd (1) and Pt (2)) and the corresponding 1,2-benzenedithiols, and characterized by spectroscopic methods including FT-IR, Raman, UV-vis, MALDI-TOF-MS, <SUP>31</SUP>P{<SUP>1</SUP>H} and/or <SUP>195</SUP>Pt{<SUP>1</SUP>H} NMR spectroscopy. X-Ray crystal structure analyses for complexes 3 and 4 revealed that C1C2C4C3 is twisted in two ways with a torsion angle of 21.6–30.7° for 3a, 3b, 4a and 4b and about 42° for 3c and 4c, and that their crystals are racemic mixtures. Due to the more electronegative chloride atoms in the ligand, complexes 3c and 4c show higher <I>ν</I>(M–S) vibrational frequencies in their Raman spectra, smaller spin–spin coupling constants (<I>J</I><SUB>Pt–P</SUB>) in their <SUP>195</SUP>Pt{<SUP>31</SUP>P} NMR spectra and higher anodic potentials (<I>E</I><SUB>pa</SUB>) in their cyclic voltammograms than complexes 3a, 3b, 4a and 4b. Moreover, only complex 4c containing the chlorinated ligand and Pt(<SMALL>II</SMALL>) ion exhibits luminescence (<I>λ</I><SUB>ob</SUB> = 610 nm and <I>λ</I><SUB>ex</SUB> = 440 nm) in the solid state at 298 K.         대장 종양조직의 Ornithine Decarboxylase 활성도

        N/A immediately in liquid nitrogen, stored at -70℃, and were analyzed for ODC activity within two weeks. ODC activity was assayed by a raiometric technique in which the amount of 14CO2 liberated from L-[1-14C] ornithine was measured according to the method by Fujimoto. Radioactivity of the 14CO2 trapped in the filter paper was measured in an aqueous miscible scintillant. Results: 1) Mean ODC activity(pmol CO2/hr/mg protein) of cancer, polyp and adjacent normal mucosa were 18.31, 8.05, 9.63, respectively. There was a significant difference in mean ODC activity in cancer tissue compared with polyp and adjacent normal mucosa. 2) There was no significant difference in mean ODC activity according to the size, age, morphology, differentiation and stage of cancer. But there was a statistical difference in mean ODC activity according to sex and tumor location. Mean ODC activity of males with cancer and of those with colon cancer was significantly higher than that of females with cancer and of those with rectal cancer. 3) Mean ODC activity fo cancer coexistent with adenoma was significantly higher than that of cancer with no coexisting adenoma. 4) In adjacent normal mucosa of cancer and polyp, mean ODC activity were 9.63, 6.45, respectively. There was no statistical difference in mean ODC activity between the two groups. 5) Mean ODC activity in adenomatous polyps and non-adenomatous polyps were 8.94, 7.03, respectively. Conclusion: 1he ODC activity in cancer tissue of large bowel was markedly increased compared with polyp and normal appearing colonic mucosa. But ODC activity was not correlated with invasion and differentiation of colorectal cancer. These results suggest that the elevation of ODC is correlated with cell proliferation status of colorectal cancer and reflects changes in the large bowel epithelium toward phenotypic neoplastic expression. Also, the mucosa of colorectal cancer with coexisting adenoma was shown to demonstrate a marked increase in mean ODC activity than that of colorectal cancer without adenoma. But the mucosal proliferation status of polyp was not higher than that of normal mucosa adjacent to polyp and ODC activity had no correlation to the pathologic characteristics of polyps. A broad and larger scale study on ODC activity of colorectal polyps is necessary to help predict cell proliferation of tumor

      • 간경변증 환자에서의 위배출시간에 대한 연구

        간경변증 환자들은 소화기 증상을 호소하는 경우가 많다. 위내시경 검사상 울혈성 위염이 자주 관찰되어 왔으며 이러한 위장관 증상이 간문맥압 상승으로 인한 위장관 운동기능장애와 연관되어 있을 가능성이 제시되었다. 본 연구에서는 울혈성 위염을 동반한 간경변증 환자에서의 위배출시간을 측정하고 간경변증간자의 위배출시간에 영향을 주는 요인들을 알아보고자 하였다. 2003년 10월부터 2004년 5월까지 울혈성 위염을 동반한 간경변증 환자 6명, 울혈성 위염을 동반하지 않은 간경변증 환자 4명, 20명의 정상인을 대상으로 위배출시간을 검사하였다. 울혈성 위염이 있는 간경변증 환자군의 위배출 시간이 정상 대조군의 위배출 시간보다 길었으나(331.67±317.39분, 66.55±31.39분), 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다(p=0.072). 비록 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지는 않았지만, 울혈성 위염을 가진 간경변증 환자에서의 위배출시간은 정상 대조군과 비교하였을 때 지연되는 양상을 보였다. 이들 자료는 간경변증 환자에서 나타나는 위배출시간 지연의 병태생리에 울현성 위염이 연관되어 있을 가능성에 대해 제시하고 있다. Patients with liver cirrhosis frequently complain gastrointestinal symptoms. Endoscopic feature of patients with cirrhosis often included congestive gastropathy. Little attention has been directed to the possible effect of portal hypertension on the motor function of the gastrointestinal tract. In this study, we evaluated the gastric emptying time in cirrhotic patients with congestive gastropathy and the factors causing the delay of gastric emptying time in patients with cirrhosis. Between October 2003 and May 2004, 6 Cirrhotic patients with congestive gastropathy, 4 Cirrhotic patients without congestive gastropathy, and 20 controls were participated in this study. The gastric emptying time was longer in cirrhotic patients with congestive gastropathy than in controls (331.67±317.39 vs 66.55±31.39 minutes), but there was no statistically significant difference (p=0.072). Although there was no statically significant difference, the gastric emptying time was more delayed in cirrhotic patients who had congestive gastropathy than normal controls. These data suggest a possibility that congestive gastropathy may contribute to pathogenesis of delayed gastric emptying in cirrhosis.

        Background: Macrophages are one of the members of tumor microenvironment, and play various roles in tumor progression and metastasis. The purposes of this study were to evaluate the presences of tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) in human cancers and the relationship between TAM densities and clinical characteristics. Methods: Immunohistochemical staining with anti-CD163 antibody, a specificc maker for TAM, was performed on tissue microarray containing 553 human cancer and normal tissues (Lung, 49; breast, 50; thyroid, 148; pancreas, 10; gallbladder, 10; and others). TAM density was measured by the average CD163-positive area (%) of at least 4 different sites in each tissue. five-year-survival rates of each cancer were obtained from Korea Central Cancer Registry reports, 2011. Results: Among different 16 human cancers, bladder, pancreas, lung, and gallbladder were the 4 highest cancer sites of TAM density from highest to lowest. Interestingly, 5-year survival rates of these cancers were relatively lower than that of all cancers: pancreas, 8.7%; lung, 20.7%; gallbladder & biliary tracts, 27.5%; all sites, 66.3%. In lung and breast cancer, TAM density was significantly higher in cancer tissues than normal tissues, while there was no difference between different stages or pathologic subtypes. In thyroid cancers, three histologic subtypes showed that the more higher densities of TAMs were observed in the more aggressive subtypes, anaplastic, follicular, and papillary from highest to lowest. Especially, anaplastic thyroid cancer demonstrated the highest TAM densities among all other 16 human cancers with extremely poor prognosis. Conclusions: TAM densities might relate to the aggressive behavior and poor prognosis in several human cancers.

        Phylogeny of the Subfamily Mesochorinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) based on Partial Mitochondrial DNA Sequences

        The molecular phylogeny of the Subfamily Mesochorinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) was inferred from nucleotide sequence variation across a 424-bp region in the Cytochrome b and a 430-bp region in the Cytochrome oxidase I of mitochondrial genome. Both genes indicate strong base bias at the third codon position and AT trans versions occurred more frequently than other type of substitutions. Maximum parsimony and Maximum likelihood analyses based on the CB gene separately give strong support for similar relationships based on morphological data. However, the phylogeny based on COI gene and combined data sets shows relationships discordant with both morphology and Cyt b.

      • Chitosan nano-/microfibrous double-layered membrane with rolled-up three-dimensional structures for chondrocyte cultivation

        <P>With an aim to mimic natural extracellular matrix, we fabricated the nano- and microfibrous matrix with chitosan by electrospinning nanofibers onto predefined microfibrous mesh for effective chondrocytes cultivation. Rolling the double-layered nano-/microfibrous membranes produced three-dimensional (3-D) scaffolds that exhibited the interconnected open pore structure in their scanning electron microscopy images. In vitro chondrocyte culture experiment showed that this nano-/microfibrous 3-D matrix provided a significantly greater microenvironment for chondrocytes to proliferate and produce glycosaminoglycan as compared with only microfibrous 3-D matrix. This difference could be explained by the result on 2-D membrane, where chitosan nanofibrous surface substantially facilitated the cellular attachment and proliferation, and efficiently prevented phenotypic changes of chondrocytes, when compared with chitosan microfibrous membrane and film. In this regard, the nano-/microfibrous 3-D matrix we fabricated in this study would possess a great potential as a system for effective chondrocyte cultivation and also for application to cartilage regeneration therapy. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
