        2종 전자근관장측정기의 일관성에 관한 in vitro 연구

        정확한 근관장 측정은 성공적인 근관치료를 위해 필수적이다. Kuttler는 근관협착부는 주근단공에서 0.5 mm 상방에 위치한다고 하였고 Lee는 상아백악질경계점부위보다 주근단공이 재현성이 높고 임상적으로 관찰하기 용이하다고 보고하였다. 본 연구는 alginate model상에서 2개의 전자근관장측정기를 사용하여 얻은 측정치의 정확성(accuracy)을 평가하고 각각 0.5 mark와 Apex mark중에서 어느 지점에서 더 일관성(consistency)을 보이는지를 비교하고 또한 근관장을 측정할 때 파일을 전진시키면서 Apex mark를 측정한 값과 치근단부위를 지나친 후 다시 후퇴하면서 측정한 값의 차이를 비교하고자 하였다. 52개의 발거된 건전한 제 1, 2소구치를 대상으로 하였으며 Root ZX와 E-Magic Finder Deluxe를 이용하여 각각 26개중 13개는 파일을 전진하면서 0.5 mark에서 근관장을 측정하고 Apex mark에서 근관장을 측정한 후 0.5 mark에서 고정하였다. 나머지 13개는 0.5 mark에서 근관장을 측정한 후 Apex mark에서 근관장을 측정하고 다시 치근단 부위를 넘어선 후 후퇴하면서 Apex mark에서 근관장을 측정하고 고정한 후 치근단부 4 mm를 삭제하여 현미경상에서 파일 끝부터 주근단공까지의 거리를 측정하였다. 그 결과 Root ZX와 E-Magic Finder 모두, 실험군 100%에서 주근단공과 file tip간의 거리가 임상적 허용범위인 ± 0.5 mm 내에 있었으며 0.5 mark보다 Apex mark에서 더 높은 일관성을 보였다. 주근단공에서 file tip 사이의 거리는 Root ZX의 0.5 mark에서 -0.18 mm, Apex mark에서 -0.07 mm 이고 E-Magic Finder의 0.5 mark에서 -0.25 mm, Apex mark에서 -0.02 mm를 나타내었다. Apex band는 0.04 mm였다. 따라서 Alginate model을 사용한 본 실험조건에서는 Apex mark에서 근관장을 측정한 결과 거의 주근단공과 일치하고 다른 여러 연구에서 주근단공에서 0.5 mm 상방에 근관협착부가 위치한다고 보고하였으므로 임상적인 측면에서 Apex mark에서 측정한 근관장에서 0.5 mm 를 빼서 근관장으로 사용하는 것이 임상적으로 더 좋으리라고 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the consistency of two electronic apex locators in vitro model. Materials consisted of fifty two extracted premolars and two electronic apex locators: Root ZX (J.Morita. Osaka, Japan) and E-Magic Finder Deluxe (S-Denti, Cheonan, Korea). After access preparation, the teeth were embedded in a saline-mixed alginate model. Canal lengths of each tooth were measured at "0.5" and "Apex" mark of the apex locators, respectively so that each tooth had two measurements from 0.5 and Apex points. The file was fixed at final measurement using a glass ionomer cement. The apical 4 mm from the apex was exposed to measure the distance from the file tip to the major apical foramen of each tooth. Average distances and standard deviations were used to evaluate the consistency. Results showed that all measurements of both Root ZX and E-Magic Finder located the major foramen the range of ± 0.5 mm level. Both apex locators showed better consistency at Apex mark than at 0.5 mark. The average distance of file tip-major foramen was - 0.18 mm at 0.5 mark and - 0.07 mm at Apex mark in Root ZX, - 0.25 mm at 0.5 mark and - 0.02 mm at Apex mark in E-Magic Finder. Standard deviation was 0.21 at 0.5 mark and 0.12 at Apex mark in Root ZX, 0.12 at 0.5 mark and 0.09 at Apex mark in E-Magic Finder.

      • 병재배 폐톱밥을 이용한 양송이 복토재료 개발에 관한 연구

        애느타리 병재배후 탈병한 톱밥을 3월 중순 퇴적하여 부숙시킨 결과 퇴적기간에 따른 폐톱밥의 부숙정도는 퇴적 30일이후에 가장 컸으며 부숙 소요일수는 최소 48일이었다. 퇴적 기간에 따른 폐톱밥의 pH 및 총 질소 함량은 부숙이 진전됨에 따라 증가하는 경향이었고 총 탄소 및 C/N율은 시간이 경과함에 따라 감소하는 경향이었다. 식양토에 부숙이 완료된 톱밥을 부피 비율로 10, 30, 50%씩 첨가하여 복토 재료로 사용한 결과 30% 첨가시 식양토 단용 처리보다 A. bisporus 균사 생장이 촉진되고 초발이 소요일수가 5일 빠르며, 수량에 있어서도 28% 증수되었다. After bottle culture of Pleurotus ostreatus, sawdust was taken out from the bottle and accumulated in the middle of March, and then composted. As the result, Y value was decreased rapidly 30 days after composting, and it was decreased slowly after 30 days. It is considered that 118 days is required for composting, however, it is possible to use for casing material after at least 48 days composting. The pH and total nitrogen content of sawdust based on composting period had tendency to increase as composting was processed. Total carbon and C/N rate had tendency to decrease as time went on. Based on the rate of 10, 30 and 50%, each sawdust was added to clay loam used as casing material for culturing A. bisporrus. Among various treatments, the mycelial growth of A. bisporus was more favorable in the treatment of 30% sawdust than in the single treatment of clay loam. Based on the date necessary for primodium formation of A. bisporus, the primodium formation in the treatment of 30% sawdust was reduced to about 5 days as compared with that of any other treatments When 30% sawdust was added to clay loam used as casing material for culturing A. bisporus, the yield of its fruiting body was increased to 28%.

      • 한약재가 Aspergillus parasiticus R-716의 生育과 aflatoxin 生成에 미치는 影響

        한의원에서 오래 前부터 사용되어 오고 있는 몇 종의 한약재를 구입하여 이들을 chloroform으로 추출하여 추출물을 조제한 다음 공시균(Aspergillus parasiticus R-716)의 生育과 aflatoxin 生成에 미치는 影響을 조사한 결과 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 1. 목단 추출물 첨가군에서 가장 현저하게 공시균의 生育이 저해되었고 그외의 첨가군에서도 강황, 봉출, 향부자, 백작액, 백출의 順으로 저해되었다. 2. Aflatoxin 生成은 백출과 강황 추출물 첨가군에서만 저해되었고, 나머지 첨가군에서는 오히려 증가되거나 효과가 적었다. 3. 백출 추출물 0.2ml첨가시 3일째부터 菌體 生成을 시작하여 9일째에 0.953g/30ml이었고, aflatoxin 함량은 792㎍으로서 대조군에 비해 약 50%가 감소되었다. 菌體 g當 aflatoxin 함량은 992㎍으로서 대조군의 1,467㎍에 비해 역시 크게 감소되었으며 NADPH oxidase 活性은 대조군보다 높아 백출 추출물이 공시균의 生育과 aflatoxin 生成에 저해 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. The possible effects of some oriental herbs, which have been used to treat cancerlike disease in Korea, on growth and aflatoxin production by Aspergillus parasiticus R-716 were investigated. Zedoaria rhizoma, Curcuma longa, Cyperus rotundus, Angelica gigas, Paeonia albiflora, Paeonia mountan, Atractylis ovata, and Pulsatilla koreana were extracted with chloroform. Among them the extract of Paeonia mountan was remarkably effective on the growth inhibition, and Curcuma longa, Zedoaria rhizoma, Cyperus rotundus, Paeonia albiflora, Atractylis ovata also inhibited the growth. The extract of Atractylis ovata and Curcuma longa, also inhibited the aflatoxin production but the others showed no effect at all or sometimes stimulated effect. With the addition of 0.2ml extract of Atractylis ovata in 30ml SLS medium, the growth was delayed for about 2 days, and after 9 days, mycelium weight was 0.953g, and total aflatoxin was reduced 50%(792㎍)of that produced in the control(1547㎍). Aflatoxin per mycelium weight was decreased 32%(992㎍)of that produced in the control(1467㎍), but NADPH oxidase was higher as compared to the control. The extract of Atractylis ovata appeared to have a inhibitory effect on the growth and aflatoxin production of Aspergillus parasiticus R-716.

      • 흉부 유연성 운동이 척추측만증 환자의 폐활량과 흉곽 확장에 미치는 영향

        The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of thoracic flexibility exercise on chest function and mobility and to provide the information of physical therapy for patients with idiopathic scoliosis. Forty female subjects who were diagnosed with scoliosis participated in this study and were divided into the experimental and control groups. The experimental group consisted of 20 patients who were treated with thoracic flexibility exercise program during the admission (10 days) and one month after discharge. The control group consisted of 20 patients who were not treated with thoracic flexibility exercise program. Vital capacity was measured using a respirometer. The chest expansion were calculated using differences of chest circumference between maximum inspiration and maximum expiration measured under armpits, at the junction between the sternum and xyphoid process, and at the waist. All subjects were measured two times: before the admission and at one month after discharge. Data were compared by groups using independent t-test. Vital capacity and chest expansion values (the armpit, chest and waist values) were significantly higher for the experimental group compared to those of the control group (p<.05). The findings of this study show that thoracic flexibility exercise program can lead to an increase in vital capacity and chest expansion and has a positive effects in relieving symptoms and restoring thoracic mobility.

        소간세포암의 진단과 치료 및 예후

        Background/ Aims : Cases of small hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have been increasing with the progress of diagnostic methods . In t his study the screening methods for early diagnos is of HCC were re-evaluated, and comparative ther apeutic analyses were perfomed. Methods : A total of 110 pat ients with small HCC ($lt; 5 cm and $lt; 4 nodules ) were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into four treatment groups ; unt reated group (No T x, n=12), transarterial-oily-chemoembolization group (TOCE, n=43), combined treatment group of percutaneous ethanol injection and TOCE (CEI, n=22), OP group ( OP, n=33). Results : Small HCC occupied 22.6% of t ot al HCC cases . Only one thir d of small HCC cases were detected during the regular screening. In this group, Alpha- fet oprotein as say pr ovided a diagnostic clue in 50% of cases, ultras onography in 71%, and the combination of both in 88%. Five year s ur vival rat e and 5- year non- recurrence rate in small HCC was 29% and 37% respectively. Comparative ther apeutic analys es showed t hat CEI and OP gave a bet t er s ur vival t han T OCE in Child gr ade A. CEI prolonged survival in Child grade B wher eas TOCE did not . Only TOCE was tried and did not improve the survival in Child grade C. Conclus i on : 1) A more strict screening is needed in high risk group of HCC. 2) As a first line of treatment in small HCC, OP or CEI can be selected in Child grade A, and CEI in Child grade B. In Child grade C, a less invasive treatment (PEIT , microwave coagulat ion therapy) should be investigated. (Korean J Hepatol 1998;4:365 380)

      • Dynamics of a microliquid prism actuated by electrowetting.

        <P>A microliquid prism is a microchannel filled with two immiscible liquids, whose interface acts as a refractive surface. To steer a light beam that constructs optical images, the interface profile or the contact angle is modulated through electrowetting on a dielectric. Accurate, yet agile actuation of the liquid prism critically depends on the understanding of dynamics of the fluid interface. Here we fabricate liquid prisms, visualize the shape evolution of the interface, and theoretically model its dynamics. By comparing the magnitude of capillary forces to those of viscous, inertial and hydrostatic forces, we find that the meniscus motion within submillimetric channels is dominated by the capillary effect. The theoretical predictions for microscale meniscus dynamics are shown to agree well with the experimental measurements. We then discuss the formation of waves in millimetric liquid prisms, which may significantly limit fast and reliable operation of the optofluidic device.</P>
