Resistive switching behaviors of Ti nano-layer embedded TaOx-based devices

The role of a Ti nano-layer embedded in TaOx-based devices operating with conductive filaments consisting of oxygen vacancies was investigated. The Ti nano-layer was embedded in three different positions: the top interface (Au/TaOx), bottom interface (TaOx/TiN), and both interfaces. The embedded Ti nano-layer serves as not only an oxygen reservoir but also a tunneling barrier in the case of the top interface. The position of the Ti nano-layer and its thickness play important roles in the resistive switching behaviors. In addition, the effect of the current compliance on the resistive switching behaviors was evaluated. The different resistive switching behaviors were investigated using currentvoltage sweep measurements and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The non-linear behavior of the low resistance state could be controlled by the top interface and current compliance. The current of the high resistance state could be controlled by the bottom interface. It is noteworthy that only 1.5-nm-thick Ti nano-layer can adjust the non-linear behavior of the low resistance state at top interface and the current of the high resistance state at bottom interface.

Forming-free and self-compliant bipolar resistive switching is observed in Cu/TaOx/TiN conductive bridge random access memory. Generally, Pt has been investigated as an inert electrode. However, Pt is not desirable material in current semiconductor industry for mass production. In this study, all electrodes are adapted to complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor compatible materials. The self-compliant resistive switching is achieved via usage of TiN bottom electrode. Also, dissolved Cu ions in TaOx lead to forming-free resistive switching behavior. The resistive switching mechanism is formation and rupture of combined oxygen vacancy/metallic copper conductive filament. We propose that Cu/TaOx/TiN is a promising candidate for a conductive bridge random access memory structure.

Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is one of the most aggressive and lethal human brain tumors, and the median survival of patients with GBM is only 14 months. Glioblastoma stem cells (GSCs) are regarded as a main cause of GBM recurrence, because of their self-renewal and drug resistance properties. Therefore, targeting GSCs is an important therapeutic strategy for GBM. In this study, we show the effects of BRM270, a compound from natural plant extracts, on GSCs in vitro and GBM recurrence in vivo. BRM270 induced apoptotic cell death and inhibited cell growth and “stemness” both in vitro and in vivo. Combining BRM270 treatment with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) dramatically increased mice survival and tumor growth inhibition. Taken together, our results suggested that BRM270 synergizes with CCRT as a therapeutic agent to target GSCs.
적응 디지털 필터를 이용한 확성용 스피커의 선형 왜곡 보상

In this paper it is attempted to apply the adaptive digital signal processing to compensate for a lincar distortion of a loudspeaker and implement a real time hardware for that purpose, The real time system is implemented by using the DSPS6001, a general purpose signal processor, as a host processor and DSP56200, a cascadable adaptive FIR filter peripheral chip, as an adaptive digital filter, The system has 100 taps at a 44.1kHz. After inverse modeling under_compensation_speaker, the system reduces loudspeaker's linear distortions by pre-processing and input audio signal to loudspeaker. The experiment shows satisfactory results ; after adaptation with white noise as input signal for 60sec, the flat amplitude and linear phase frequency characteristics is found to lie over a wide frequency range of 100Hz to 20kHz.

2015년, 1년 동안 용지초 행복학교를 운영하면서 3~6학년이 함께 생활 규정을 만들고 교사, 학생, 학부모 간의 소통을 통해 서로의 가치와 철학을 맞추어 가는 시간이었다. 그러나 3~6학년 4개 학년이 함께 하는 것이 학생자치활동인 ‘다모 임’(이하 다모임)을 진행하는 데 있어 학생들의 집중을 이끌어 내는 데 어려움이 있었고, 다모임 횟수로 협의할 수 있는 내용이 제한적이었다. 또한 생활 규정에 대 해 호기심을 가지고 협의하는 중학년과 달리 회의적인 반응으로 참여하는 고학년, 생활 규정을 만들었지만 학생들의 삶 속에서 실천되지 않는 모습들을 바라보며 2015년 용지의 다모임에 대한 반성과 함께 ‘새로운 방식의 다모임을 만들어야 하 지 않나’는 교사들의 성찰이 있었다.
