        合谷($LI_4$), 三間($LI_3$)의 電針刺戟이 顔面部 領域 溫度變化에 미치는 影響

        The back ground and purpose : The acupuncture of oriental medicine is very important in treatments. Until now it has been researched according to the meridian and qi xue(氣血) phenomenon of oriental medicine's theory. As electroacupuncture is one of acupuncture treatments, it will show more objective index to observe the meridian and qi xue(氣血) phenomenon. And then, I studied the effects on the thermal change of the face following electroacupuncture treatment. Objective and Methods : This study was performed from January 1999 to March 1999 on 10 healthy students. The objective was divided into three groups, those were the control group A(n=10), the group B(n=10) of electroacupuncture on Hapkok($LI_4$), Samgan($LI_3$) and the group C(n=10) of electroacupuncture on Shinmun($H_7$), T' ongni($H_5$). First, in the control group A, we took a picture for 10 men without any stimulation with the Digital Infrared Thermograph Imaging(D.I.T.I.) and did 3min after, 10min after, 15min after, 25min after, 45min after respectively. Second, in the electroacupuncture treatment group B, we took a picture for 10 men without any stimulation, and then treat electroacupuncture on Hapkok($LI_4$), Samgan($LI_3$) and took a picture immediately(3min after), 10min after, 15min after and remove needle and took a picture in the same way respectively. Third, in the electroacupuncture treatment group C, we took a picture for 10 men without any stimulation, and then treat electroacupuncture on Shinmun($H_7$), T'ongni($H_5$) and took a picture in the second way respectively. Results: 1. In healthy men, average skin temperture about Yonghyang($LI_{20}$) area was higher than Soryo($G_{25}$) or Chich'ang($S_4$) area. They were Soryo($G_{25}$) area $31.495{\pm}0.766^{\circ}C$, Rt. Yonghyang($LI_{20}$) area $31.664{\pm}0.936^{\circ}C$, Lt. Yonghyang ($LI_{20}$)area $31.686{\pm}0.767^{\circ}C$, Rt. Chich'ang($S_4$) area $31.226{\pm}0.875^{\circ}$, Lt. Chich'ang ($S_4$) area $31.453{\pm}0.855^{\circ}C$. 2. In the control group A, the skin temperature of Soryo($G_{25}$) showed the increase or decrease in below ${\Delta}0.1^{\circ}C\;except\;0.265{\pm}0.594^{\circ}C$ in 25min, but not significantly. 3. About Soryo($G_{25}$) area, the skin temperature decreased significantly after electroacupuncture immediately. ${\Delta}T $of the group B was $-0.970{\pm}0.87\;1^{\circ}C$, which was larger than one of the group C which was $-0.707{\pm}0.624^{\circ}C$ at 3min. And then ${\Delta}T$ of the group C was increase valuable at 25min, 45min. 4. About Yonghyang($L1_{25}$) area, the left ${\Delta}T$ of the group B showed below $0.2^{\circ}C$ or so in contrast to the right it. In the group C, on the both side showed continous increase of temperature as following times. 5. About Chich'ang($S_4$) area, the skin temperature increased valuable $0.3^{\circ}C$ or so on the both side and later inclined to decrease in the group B but not significantly. In the group C, it increased valuable on the both side. 6. The skin temperature of electroacupuncture treatment group B, C were more increase than the control group A except Lt. Yonghyang($LI_{20}$) area in the group B. The temperature of group C were more increase than the group B wholly. Conclusion : The above results indicate that D.I.T.I. is a useful method to observe and fallow-up the effects and the changes by electroacupuncture stimulation on objective evaluation of phenomenon for the meridian system and character.         The etiology of alopecia areata has not been fully elucidated, but autoimmune theory is further strengthened by the increased association of alopecia areata with a number of autoimmune disorders and by the increased prevalence of organ-specific autoantibodies in alopecia areata. Alopecia areata was called 'Yupung(油風)', 'Quijidu(귀지두)', 'Ballak(髮落)' etc. We experienced a patient who had been alopecia areata for ten years. He had been treated alopecia areata with herbal acupunture( mixed CF and JsD). almost entire scalp had been replaced with new termal hairs.

        자하거약침(紫河車藥鍼)의 Bell's palsy에 대한 치험보고(治驗報告)

        This report was done to observe the effect of Hominis placenta herbal acupuncture on Bell's palsy. The study group comprised 16 patients who arrived at Woo-suk university oriental hospital from January, 1999 till January, 2000 for Bell's palsy. All patients were divided into two group. One was herbal acupunture group, and the other was control group. Acupunture group was done herbal acupuncture therapy on the facial acupuncture points. Followings are achievement and a term of each group. In herbal acupuncture group, 100% motor recovery was 7 case, 75% was 1 case, and 25% motor recovery term was $7.38{\pm}5.21$ days, 50% was $11.00{\pm}6.16$ days, 75% was $15.13{\pm}9.55$ days, 100% was $23.14{\pm}7.97$ days. In control group, 100% motor recovery was 4 case, 75% was 2 case, 25% below was 2 case and 25% motor recovery term was $11.17{\pm}4.96$days, 50% was $18.17{\pm}6.82$ days, 75% was $29.50{\pm}6.95$ days, 100% was $44.00{\pm}11.49$ days. The above results indicate that Hominis placenta herbal acupuncture is a useful effect on Bell's palsy. thus, continuous herbal acupunture study will be needed for more clinical application on Bell' palsy.

        스포츠 VICTORY 리더십이 성취목표지향성 및 선수만족에 미치는 영향

        This purpose of this study was to examine the effect of sport victory leadership on achievement goal orientation and athletes satisfaction. For the purpose, 274 subjects from college sampled by the convenience sampling method. The statistical methods utilized in the study for analyzing the collected data were exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis and structural equation model analysis using SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 7.0 program. The results of this study were as follows; First, sport victory leadership influenced positively on achievement goal orientation. Second, sport victory leadership influenced positively on athletes satisfaction. Third, achievement goal orientation influenced positively on athletes satisfaction. These results were discussed based on previous literature and theory.

        고압증기소독한 자가골을 이용한 하악골 결손부의 즉시 재건술

        The ideal goal of the maxillofacial reconstruction is a rehabilitation of the anatomic, esthetic, psychologic and functional problems. This is to report three cases of reconstruction after partial mandibulectomy by using of autogenous bone. In one case of reconstruction with only autoclaved bone, we experienced a failure because of breakdown of the oral mucosa and exposure of the graft. In two cases with combination of PMCB and autoclaved autogenous bone which was covered by healthy well-vascularized soft tissue, however, we obtained good functional and esthetic results. Based on these results, it is suggested that an autogenous autoclaved bone, although not considered as an ideal reconstruction material due to its absence of osteogenic potency, may be used successfully when combined with PMCB because it can provide a framework corresponding to the size and shape of the mandibular defect.

        Thermoelectric power generation is a technology that converts heat energy into electric energy directly, and it is an eco-friendly future power generation system. Therefore, the studies of thermoelectric power generation have been actively conducted as a technology that stands out among the fields of energy harvesting. This study aims to analyze the performance of the thermoelectric power generating heat exchanger with different types of flow channels. A rectangular basic type and a fin type with a strip fin inserted are applied. The results show that the flow is uniformly distributed and the turbulence is increased at the fin type due to the effect of the fin, which improves the power generation and heat transfer performance compared to the basic type. The fin type shows 65.7% higher power generation and 34.4% higher heat rejection than those of the basic type.

        도시-농촌지역 고등학생의 성장, 혈압 및 혈중콜레스테롤에 대한 연구

        Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate and compare the growth, blood pressure, and s-cholesterol of urban and rural students in Korea. Methods: April 1999, We examined the students' health of a boys high school and a girls high school in a urban area - Jeonju, Korea.(boys were 317, girls were 343). And we also examined the students' health of a high school in a rural area - Gimje, Korea.(boys were 33, girls wee 36). Height, body-weight, Body Mass Index(BMI)I, blood pressure, and s-cholesterole were checked and compared between two groups. Results and Conclusion: The mean of height in urban students was $165.25{\pm}7.79cm$, and that in rural students was $163.77{\pm}8.72cm$. There was no significant difference stastically between two groups. The mean of body-weight in urban students $(57.78{\pm}10.51kg)$ was significantly higher than that in rural students $(54.71{\pm}10.11kg)$)(p<0.05). The mean of body mass index(BMI) in urban students $(21.12{\pm}3.27kg/m2)$ was significantly higher than that in rural students $(20.30{\pm}2.69kg/m2)$(p<0.05). Obese students $(BMI{\geq}27)$ were 31(4.70%) in urban students, 3(4.35%) in rural students. The mean of systolic blood pressure in rural students $(114.99{\pm}9.50mmHg)$ was significantly higher than that in urban students $(111.89{\pm}12.42mmHg)$(p<0.05) The mean of diastolic blood pressure in rural students$(75.72{\pm}9.90mmHg)$ was very significantly higher than that of urban students $(68.45{\pm}9.40mmHg)$(p<0.001). Hypertensives (${\geq}138/86mmHg\;in\;boys,\;{\geq}130/83mmHg$ in girls) were 28(4.24%) in urban students, 13(18.84%) in rural students. The mean of s-cholesterol in urban students was $174.95{\pm}32.28mg/dL$, and that in rural students was $176.81{\pm}33.18mg/dL$. There was no significant difference stastically between two groups. Hypercholesterolemias (${\geq}198mg/dL$ in boys, ${\geq}212mg/dL$ in girls) were 130(19.70%) in urban students, 14(20.89%) in rural students. These results suggest that there are differences in body weight, BMI, and diastolic blood pressure between urban and rural students and that it is necessary to consider these differences in health examination.

        Characterization of a Dual-Specificity Protein Phosphatase, Human DUSP28

        Dual-specificity protein phosphatase (DUSP)들은 인산화된 티로신 잔기와 인산화된 세린 또는 트레오닌 잔기를 탈인산화시키는 단백질 탈인산화효소 군을 이루고 있으며, 대부분의 DUSP들은 세포의 생존이나 분화에 관여하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 잘 알려지지 않은 인간 유래의 dual-specificity protein phosphatase인 DUSP28을 인간신장 cDNA에서 분리하였다. 대장균에서 생산된 재조합단백질은 6,8-difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate(DiFMUP)에 대하여 좋은 활성을 보였다. 다양한 저해제와 2가 금속이온들이 DUSP28의 활성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 다른 DUSP들에서와는 다르게, Zn<SUP>2+</SUP>은 DUSP28의 탈인산화활성을 강하게 억제하였다. 이러한 결과로부터 DUSP28이 Zn과 연관된 신호전달경로에 관여할 것으로 추정된다. 더욱이, DUSP28은 인산화된 티로신 잔기를 더욱 선호하는 경향이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 이는 세포 내에서도 비슷한 작용을 할 것으로 예상된다. Dual-specificity protein phosphatases (DUSPs) constitute a family of protein phosphatase characterized by the ability to dephosphorylate phospho-tyrosyl and phospho-seryl/threonyl residues. Most DUSPs are involved in regulation of cell survival and differentiation. In this study, a human dual-specificity protein phosphatase, DUSP28, was isolated from a human kidney cDNA. The recombinant protein was successfully produed in E.coli and showed sufficient phosphatase activity toward DiFMUP (6,8-difluoro-4-methylumbelliferyl phosphate). Various phosphatase inhibitors and divalent metals were tested for their effects on the DUSP28 phosphatase activity. As a result, Zn<SUP>2+</SUP> was found to strongly inhibit DUSP28 phosphatase activity, suggesting DUSP28 is involved in Zn-related signal transduction pathway. Furthermore, the DUSP28 protein preferred phospho-tyrosyl residues to phospho-threonyl residues, implying its physiological roles in the cellular process.

        Profiling of genes in healthy hGF, aging hGF, healthy hPDLF and inflammatory hPDLF by DNA microarray

        이 연구의 목적은 DNA microarray 분석법을 이용하여 건강한 사람치주인대섬유모세포, 건강한 사람치은섬유모세포, 복제노화된 사람치은섬유모세포, 염증성 사람치주인대 섬유모 세포의 유전자 발현 형태를 상호비교하고자 하였다. 환자의 동의하에 충치, 치주염이 없이 교정발치된 치아의 치주인대세포를 배양하여 건강한 치주인대섬유모세포로, 만성치주염으로 발거된 치아에서 채취하여 배양한 세포를 염증성 치주인대섬유모세포로 선정하였다. 구강에서 채취한 치은결체조직에서 배양한 사람치은섬유모세포를 일차 배양한 후 계대배양을 통해 복제 노화를 유도하였다. $-198^{\circ}C$의 액화질소에 저장되어 있던 2, 4, 8, 15, 16세대 세포를 실험에 이용하였다. 위의 모든 세포들은 60 mm 배양접시에서 세포들이 80-90%의 밀생이 될 때까지 5% $CO_2$, $37^{\circ}C$, 100% 습도의 배양기에서 2일 간격으로 10% FBS가 함유된 DMEM 세포 배양액을 교체하면서 세포를 배양하였다. Trizol Reagent (Invitrogen, USA)를 이용하여 제조회사의 지시에 따라 total RNA를 추출하였다. 18S RNA와 28S RNA를 확인한 후 DNA microarray 분석을 실시하였다. 4배수 이상의 변화양상을 비교시 상호 유전자 발현의 차이를 나타내었다. 건강한 사람치은섬유모세포(2세대)와 노화된 치은섬유모세포에서 가장 높은 발현변화를 나타낸 반면 DMC1 dosage suppressor of mck1 homolog, meiosis-specific homologous recombination,은 건강한 치은섬유모세포에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 염증성 치은인대섬유모세포와 건강한 치주인대 섬유모세포를 비교시, Regucalcin은 염증성 치주인대섬유모세포에서 가장 높게 나타났고, Vascular cell adhesion molecule 1도 두 번째로 높게 나타났다. 건강한 치주인대섬유모 세포와 건강한 치은섬유모세포를 비교시, IL-11과 periostin이 치주인대섬유모세포에서 높은 발현을 나타낸 반면, Prostaglandin D2 synthase 21kDa과 Thioredoxin interacting protein은 치은섬유모세포에서 높은 발현을 나타내었다. 염증성 치주인대섬유모세포와 노화된 치은섬유모세포(15세대 이상)를 비교시 149개의 유전자가 유사한 발현 수준을 나타내었다. 이 연구는 노화, 염증, 세포 형태에 따라서 유전자 수준에서 가장 높거나 높은 수준 변화를 보이는 유전자가 다를 수 있음을 나타낸다. 향후, 치주염 환자들에서, 노염, 염증, 세포 특이성에 관한 유전자 표시지를 이용하여 진단하거나 치료에 응용하기 위해서는 더 많은 연구가 필요하리라 사료된다.
