        특수교사의 일-삶 균형이 행복감에 미치는 영향: 회복탄력성의 매개효과를 중심으로

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the special teachers' perception on work-life balance, happiness, and resilience and the mediating effects of resilience. Method: A survey of 213 special teachers was conducted to ask them about their perception of work-life balance, happiness and resilience. Results: First, the level of work-life balance of special teachers was work-family balance(3.37±.73), work-leisure balance(3.18±.99), work-growth balance(3.12±.94). Second, the level of happiness of special teachers was internal happiness(3.77±.74), external happiness(3.68±.69), self-regulative happiness(3.12±.80). Third, the level of resilience of special teachers was positivity(3.65±.62), interpersonal relationship (3.54±.51), self-regulation(3.33±.59). Fourth, the direct effects of the work-life balance on the happiness of special teachers was significant, and that resilience represented the relationship between work-life balance and happiness in part. Conclusion: Based on findings of the study, the basic data needed to explore ways to improve the work-life balance, happiness and resilience of special teachers were utilized as basic data, and the implications needed to establish an educational environment in pursuit of happiness in the school field were derived. 연구목적: 본 연구에서는 일-삶 균형, 행복감, 회복탄력성에 대한 특수교사의 인식과 관계를 알 아보고 일-삶 균형이 행복감에 미치는 영향에서 회복탄력성의 매개효과를 살피고자 하였다. 연 구방법: 특수교사 213명을 대상으로 일-삶 균형, 행복감, 회복탄력성 인식을 묻는 설문조사를 실 시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 특수교사의 일-삶 균형의 수준은 ‘일-가족 균형’에 대한 인식(3.37±.73) 수준이 가장 높았으며, 다음으로 일-여가(3.18±.99), 일-성장(3.12±.94)의 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 특수교사의 행복감 수준은 ‘내적행복’에 대한 인식((3.77±.74) 수준이 가장 높게 나타났고, 다음으 로 ‘외적행복(3.68±.69)’, ‘자기조절행복(3.12±.80)로 나타났다. 셋째, 특수교사의 회복탄력성의 수준 은 영역별로 살펴보면 ‘긍정성’의 수준은 3.65±..62, ‘대인관계능력’의 수준은 3.54±.51, ‘자기조절능 력’의 수준은 3.33±.59 순으로로 나타났다. 넷째, 회복탄력성의 매개효과를 검정하였을 때 특수교 사의 행복감에 대한 일-삶 균형의 직접효과가 유의한 것으로 나타났으며 회복탄력성은 일-삶 균 형과 행복감 사이의 관계를 부분적으로 매개효과를 나타낸다는 것을 확인하였다. 결론: 본 연구를 바탕으로 특수교사의 일-삶 균형, 행복감, 회복탄력성을 향상시키기 위한 방안을 모색하는데 필요 한 기초자료로 활용하고, 학교 현장에서 행복을 추구하는 교육적 환경을 구축하는 데 필요한 시사 점을 도출하였다.

        유방암 세포주를 이용한 국내 자생 콩과식물의 에스트로겐 활성검색

        Leguminosae plants are known for its phytoestrogen constituents which play a major role in the prevention of osteoporosis, cancer and heart disease. In this study, the estrogenic activity of 158 samples from 58 species, 3 subspecies and 10 varieties of Leguminosae plants growing in Korea was evaluated. An estrogen, 17β-estradiol was used as a reference compound, and the potency of each sample was expressed in relative efficacy (%) compared to that of the reference by a reporter gene assay using MCF-7 cells. As results, the estrogenic activity of methanolic extracts of Phaseolus vulgaris var. humilis, Sophora flavescens, Lespedeza × robusta, Indigofera pseudotinctoria, Maackia amurensis, Glycine soja, Wisteria floribunda, Robinia pseudoacacia, Astragalus sinicus, Pueraria lobata, Lespedeza maximowiczii var. tomentella, Trifolium repens and Crotalaria sessiliflora showed similar to or higher at 100 μg/ml than the positive control at 10 nM. These findings can be a potential evidence for developing estrogen alternatives resolving various types of menopause symptoms with information on proper harvest season and usage plant part. To the best of our knowledge, the estrogenic activity of Lespedeza × robusta, Indigofera pseudotinctoria, Wisteria floribunda, Robinia pseudoacacia and Lespedeza maximowiczii var. tomentella is reported for the first time in this study.

        The Effects of Reading Global Literature on Korean EFL Learners’ Literacy Ability and Intercultural Sensitivity

        This study examined the effects of reading global literature in literature-based instruction on overall L2 literacy ability and intercultural sensitivity development. One hundred twenty-two 5th and 6th grade elementary students and one hundred forty 7th and 8th graders in middle school in Korea participated in this study. Among the 262 participants, 131 students from each grade were assigned to the treatment groups,and remaining 131 participants were in the control groups. The treatment group received 39 sessions of reading global literature in thirteen weeks; the control group did not receive any treatment in this study. The latent mean analysis with the measurement model between literacy ability and intercultural sensitivity across control and treatment groups shows positive effects of reading global literature on L2 learners’ development of literacy ability and intercultural sensitivity. The study results provided support for reading global literature as an effective and powerful instructional method to improve L2 learners’ literacy ability and intercultural sensitivity. The students in the treatment group were more interculturally sensitive and outperformed the control group in L2 literacy achievement. The findings of this study have educational implications for teaching L2 with global literature to enhance L2 learners’ intercultural sensitivity and literacy ability in their L2 learning.

        EBS 영어교육방송을 활용한 초등학생의 자기 주도적 영어 학습능력 신장

        본 연구에서는 학생들의 다양한 영어 수준에 맞는 EBS 영어 교육방송프로그램을 활용하여 자기 주도적 학습에 기반한 맞춤형 영어 학습을 가정에서 전개하고, 이를 통해 학습자의 전반적인 영어능력, 영어에 대한 흥미와 자신감, 자기 주도적 학습력을 신장시킬 수 있는 방안과 그 효과를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 3학년 8개(225명), 4학년 7개(213명), 5학년 9개(259명), 6학년 9개(270명) 학급을 선정하여 실험반으로만 운영하며, 3~4학년의 경우 주당 2시간, 5~6학년의 경우 주당 3시간 분량의 EBS 영어교육방송을 활용한 가정에서의 영어 학습을 2012년 3월부터 12월까지, 여름 방학을 포함하여 10개월간 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1)EBSe를 활용한 학생의 자기 주도적 영어 학습은 초등학생의 영어능력(듣기와 읽기) 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 2)EBSe 활용 영어방송기록장을 이용하여, 학생 수준에 맞는 맞춤형 학습플래너의 순서에 따라, 가정에서 EBSe를 활용하여 자기 주도적 영어 학습을 실시한 결과, 학생들의 자기 주도적 영어 학습에 대한 동기 강화 및 이해도가 향상되어 학생들의 자기 주도적 학습력이 신장되었다. 3)EBSe를 활용한 자기 주도적 영어 학습이 학생들의 영어학습에 관한 전반적인 정의적 영역에 긍정적인 영향을 끼침을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통한 제언으로는 EBS 방송을 가정에서 자기 주도적 학습으로 활용하기 위해서 쉽게 접근할 수 있는 매뉴얼과 홍보가 필요하다. 그리고 교사나 학부모를 위한 활용 가이드나 지도서 확충을 통해 학교와 가정에서 더 많이 활용하여 학생들의 자기 주도적 영어학습에 대한 동기강화로 이어지도록 해야 한다. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of using EBSe programs on Korean elementary school students’ self-directed learning; their effects on the students' English proficiency, self-directed learning skills, and affective domains. Nine hundred sixty-seven elementary students from third to sixth grades in Busan participated in this study. All participants were assigned to the treatment group. The third and fourth grade students received 79 sessions of self-directed learning using different EBSe programs; the fifth and sixth grade students received 111 sessions. All participants took pretests and posttests using the same instruments: an English proficiency test (listening and reading), a self-directed learning test, and tests for affective domains (interests, confidence, and academic participation). The results of the study indicate positive effects on the students' self-directed learning skills when the EBSe programs were applied to the development of the students' English ability, including listening and reading. The study results also provided support for focusing on self-directed learning skills using EBSe programs; they were seen to be an effective English learning method for improving learners’ self-directed learning abilities. In addition, the elementary students showed positive improvements in their affective domains.

        EBS 영어교육방송을 활용한 리터러시 중심 수업이 초등학생의 영어 리터러시 능력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of balanced literacy approach by using EBSe programs on elementary students’ literacy abilities. Eight hundred seventy-nine students from 3rd to 6th grade elementary students, and teachers in Busan participated in this study. Half of the participants from each grade were assigned to the treatment group, and the remaining participants were assigned to the control group. The treatment group of 3rd to 6th grade students received 17 sessions of literacy-based instruction by using different EBSe programs for one semester. Graphic organizers and book-making were the key learning materials in the instruction. All participants took pretests and posttests using the same instruments: English literacy tests (vocabulary knowledge, reading comprehension, and writing). The results of this study are as follows: First, using EBS English programs in English classes had a positive influence on the 3rd to 6th grade students’ English literacy abilities with a statistically significant improvement in vocabulary and reading comprehension test scores.         Cardiovascular crisis after small dose local infiltration of epinephrine in patient with asymptomatic subarachnoid hemorrhage -A case report-

        The infiltration of dilute epinephrine solution has been used for many years to provide hemostasis. However,epinephrine has adverse cardiovascular effects, such as arrhythmia, pulmonary edema, and even cardiac arrest. We have experienced epinephrine-induced cardiovascular crisis, with severe hypertension, tachycardia, and cardiac arrest after subcutaneous infiltration of a 2% lidocaine and 1 : 200,000 epinephrine solution in a patient with an asymptomatic subarachnoid hemorrhage. We provided successfully advanced cardiac life support in the operating room and cardioverted the patient back into a sinus rhythm with no untoward effects. The patient recovered without any apparent sequelae after intensive care.

        Differences in the Chemical Profiles and Biological Activities of Paeonia lactiflora and Paeonia obovata

        Paeonia lactiflora and P. obovata are perennial herbs, each root of which has been consumed as a major oriental medicine, Paeoniae Radix and a famous folk medicine,Mountain Paeony Root, respectively. Althoughmorphological studies have been performed comparing these two plants, there is insufficient scientific evidence that characterizes the differences in their chemical profiles and biological activities. Hence, the present study was undertaken to compare these two medicinal foods using a high-performance liquid chromatography–diode-array detector (HPLC-DAD) analysis and a gastric ulcer model in mice. HPLC analysisemployed to assess the nine components revealed that P. lactiflora exhibited higher contents of phenolic compounds than P. obovata. Although amonoterpene glycoside, 6'-O-acetylpaeoniflorinwas identified in P. obovata, it was not detected in P. lactiflora. Multivariate statistical analysis for HPLC data revealed that the orthogonal projections to latent structure-discriminant analysis is more appropriate than principal component analysis for differentiating the two groups. Moreover, the 50% methanol P. lactiflora extract (PL) was more effective against experimental gastric ulcer than P. obovata extract (PO) in the HCl/ethanol-induced ulcer model. In addition, PL displayed higher 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity and lower nitric oxide production in amurinemacrophage cell line, RAW264.7, than PO. The DPPHradical scavenging activity of PL was as high as that of the positive control, butylated hydroxytoluene, at a concentration of 25 μg/mL.
