        구내 표준 방사선사진을 이용한 구내방사선촬영기의 선질 평가

        Purpose : This study was to evaluate the beam quality of intraoral X-ray equipments used at Yonsei University Dental Hospital (YUDH) using the half value layer (HVL) and the characteristic curve of intraoral standard X-ray film. Materials and Methods : The study was done using the intraoral X-ray equipments used at each clinical department at YUDH. Aluminum filter was used to determine the HVL. Intraoral standard film was used to get the characteristic curve of each intraoral X-ray equipment. Results : Most of the HVLs of intraoral X-ray equipments were higher than the least recommended thickness, but the REX 601 model used at the operative dentistry department and the X-707 model used at the pediatric dentistry department had HVLs lower than the recommended thickness. The slopes of the characteristic curves of films taken using the PANPAS 601 model and REX 601 model at operative dentistry department, the X-705 model of prosthodontic dentistry department, and the REX601 model at the student clinic were relatively low. Conclusion : HVL and the characteristic curve of X-ray film can be used to evaluate the beam quality of intraoral X-ray equipment. In order to get the best X-ray films with the least radiation exposure to patients and best diagnostic information in clinical dentistry, X-ray equipment should be managed in the planned and organized fashion.         유구치 치근분지부 병소의 치수절제술과 소파술에 의한 골재생

        유구치의 깊은 우식은 치수병소을 유발하고 이를 조기에 치료하지 않을 경우에는 치수강저의 수많은 부근관을 통하여 치근분지부 병소로 이어진다. 지금까지 대부분의 교과서나 문헌에서는 이와 같은 경우를 발치의 적응증으로 기술하여 왔고 임상에서도 상례적으로 발치를 흔히 시행하였다. 그러나 유구치의 조기 상실은 수많은 부작용을 낳는 것이 필연적이다. 어린이의 골재생 능력이 우수하며, 치수강저와 치근분지부를 잇는 많은 부근관이 있음을 생각해 볼 때 유구치 치수 내의 감염원을 치수절제술로 제거하고, 이미 발생한 치근분지부 병소에 대해서는 소파술을 시행한다면 치근분지부 골조직의 신속한 재생이 가능하지 않을까하는 의문이 제기되었다. 본 중례는 3~6세 어린이에서 유구치 치근분지부 방사선 투과상이 2~4mm 정도의 깊이를 보이는 비교적 경미한 수준이면서, 연조직 누공을 보이는 10개 중례를 선별하여 치수절제술과 치근분지부 소파술을 시행한 결과, 모두에서 방사선적으로 골재생이 관찰되었다. 이를 통하여 유구치 치근분지부 병소나 누공을 보이는 모든 경우가 발치의 적응증은 아니며, 이 방법이 치근분지부 병소를 가진 유구치를 잔존시킬 수 있는 하나의 대안이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 이 방법이 객관적인 타당성을 얻기 위해서는, 병소의 크기와 진행정도, 계승 영구치의 성숙도, 환아의 연령 등 적응증에 대한 보다 심층적인 검토와 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료되었다. Deep caries in primary molars without early intervention frequently induce a pulpal disease and consequent furcation lesion with fistulous openings. Up to now, majority of the textbooks on pediatric dentistry and literatures have described that extraction of the inflicted teeth is indicated for these cases and in reality these teeth have usually been extracted in the dental clinics. However, when we recognize the excellent capacity of bone regeneration in children and the presence of numerous accessory canals at furcation areas, the removal of infection source in pulp by pulpectomy and inflammatory granulation tissues at furcation areas by furcal curettage might open the possibility of rapid healing at the furcation region. In this report. 10 cases of primary molars in 3 to 6-year-old children with fistulous openings and furcation lesions in moderate size of 2 to 4mm in depth radiolucency at furcation lesion have been chosen. After pulpectomy and furcal curettage, evident bone regeneration was detected rediographically in all cases. Through the cases, we came to realize that all the cases previously described are not the indications of extraction and this approach could make many cases with pulp and furca combined lesions survive and remain healthy in the children's dental arches. However, in order for this approach to acquire objective appropriateness. it is thought that more scrupulous evaluation is desirable on the various factors regarding the indication such as the extent of furcation, absorption status of teeth, amount of covering bone on succeeding teeth and so on.

      • 블록2D FFT를 이용한 지문 특이점 추출

        In this paper, we propose a minutiae extraction algorithm using the block 2D FFT from the binarization fingerprint images. At first, binary fingerprint images carry out the histogram equalization and block binarization processing. For extract fingerprint minutiae, we executed the 2D FFT to block that divided into the 32×32 blocks from binarization image. Next step is removing the pseudo minutiae from the block for the minutiae extraction. Removing Pseudo minutiae processes executed the removing horizontal, vertical direction elements and diagonal lines. So that it extracts the core and delta points remained which include the blocks. In the end, we extract the minutiae by removing the block part of the delta point. Also, we gained efficient throughput 88% extraction rate of minutiae to the number of 50 fingerprint image.

        초임계유체를 이용한 입자제조

        초임계이산화탄소와 초임계수와 같은 초임계유체의 환경친화적 성질은 미세입자를 제조하는 새로운 재료분야의 응용에 많은 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 최근에는 초임계유체의 저독성과 불연성 그리고 저렴한 가격 때문에 의약품, 화장품, 세라믹, 식품 그리고 폭약 등에서 이를 이용하여 나노 또는 마이크로입자를 제조하는 공정에 많은 이용되고 있다. 본고에서는 초임계유체를 이용하여 미세입자를 제조하는 대표적인 공정인 RESS(rapid expansion of supercritical solution), SAS(supercritical anti solvent) 그리고 PGSS(particles from gas saturated solution) 등에 대하여 중점적으로 소개하고자 한다. The environmentally friendly nature of supercritical fluids such as supercritical carbon dioxide and supercritical water has led to the exploration of their use in a range of materials applications. In the last few years, several supercritical fluids-based techniques have been proposed for the production of micronic and nanometric particles for potential applications in areas such as pharmaceuticals. cosmetics, inorganics, hiomaterials and explosives. Techniques like the rapid expansion of supercritical solutions (RESS), supercritical antisolvent precipitation (SAS), particle generation from gas-saturated solutions (PGSS), and reactive precipitation in supercritical solutions (RPSS) have been critically reviewed.

        The purpose of this study is to determine the ageing mechanism of Mica/Epoxy composite material for large generator stator windings in order to estimate remaining life of generator. X-ray analysis is performed to investigate the position and structure of mica crystal in insulation materials. The phase change of aged and sound specimen under each atmosphere isn't observed. Surface analysis of insulation materials by optical microscope also show that the sound and aged specimen, sliding phenomenon by shear and thermal stress is observed both interface between mica and epoxy.

        This study first investigates the concept and the meaning of centrality from the viewpoint of CHe-Yong-Sang theory as applied to architectural space and secondly investigates the way in which the centrality of modern urban dwelling space is perceived. The findings indicate that the centrality of modern urban dwelling space is perceived in more complex manners than is the case with the traditional dwelling space. While the centrality of dwelling space is observed at different locations, its significance persists in the urban dwelling space.

        원예치료를 통한 정신분열증 환자와 일반인들의 우울성 비교

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the change in depression for schizophrenia patient and people between pre- and post- horticultural therapy program. The result was as the follows ; Depression of schizophrenia patients averaged 61.83 to 51.33 and general people averaged 41.05 to 38.95(p〈.05). The result indicated that horticultural therapy program was effective in depression treatment not only schizophrenia patient but also general people.
