Cancer risk in Korean patients with gout

Background/Aims: Using a nationwide cohort, we investigated the cancer risk in Korean patients with gout. Methods: Data were obtained from the Korean National Health Insurance Service Database. Patients with gout were defined as those aged ≥ 20 years who were diagnosed with gout and received anti-gout medication (allopurinol, colchicine, and benzbromarone) between 2008 and 2010. Patients with nail disorders were randomly assigned to a control group (1:1 ratio) after frequency matching for age and sex. Cancer incidence was then investigated between 2012 and 2018. Cox proportional hazard regression analysis was used to investigate the association between gout and cancer after adjusting for concomitant diseases. Results: This study included 179,930 patients with gout and an equal number of matched controls. The incidence of overall cancer was higher in patients with gout than in controls (incidence rate ratio, 1.08). Cox proportional hazards regression analysis showed that gout was associated with a hazard ratio of 1.053 (95% confidence interval ,1.031 to 1.077) after adjusting for concomitant diseases. Conclusions: Gout was associated with a significantly high risk of cancer, especially esophageal, stomach, colon, liver, pancreatic, lung, ovarian, renal, and bladder cancers.

On the development process of construction equipment, just like passenger car, it is essential to analyze and reduce torsional vibration on the driving axis system of it for stable operation and prevention of failure. Especially if torsional vibration damper which is one of the key components connecting driving system of engine and driveline fails and then the construction equipment itself does not work, it takes a lot of cost and time to identify the cause of the failure and prepare an improvement plan. In this study, the calculation model which is multi-body dynamic one is developed to analyze torsional vibration on the driving axis system of the construction equipment including both driving system of engine and driveline. Furthermore, design engineers who are not familiar with CAE tool can easily create their calculation model for torsional vibration analysis and perform it based on EXCEL template without complex CAE knowledge. Also, robust optimal design method with the developed calculation model is used to improve torsional vibration on the development process of construction equipment considering worst condition such as misfiring of engine and various gear ratio of transmission.
적외선 분광 분석과 조직 분석을 통한 출토 인골의 보존 상태 평가

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR-ATR) was applied to chemical analysis for conservation status of 10 human bone remains from Joseon Dynasty. The result of crystallinity index (CI) is $4.25{\pm}0.78$, carbonate to carbonate ratio (C/C) is $0.91{\pm}0.04$ and cabonate content (C/P) is $0.19{\pm}0.06$. The higher histological index (HI) confirmed CI and C/P value was increased and C/C value was reduced. While C/C or C/P values analysis is possible. While DNA analysis can be extracted from the bone, C/C values are lower or C/P values are higher was found to the analysis is possible. Chemical assessment of FTIR and histological index consequence is expected to be applicable as a basis for comprehensive understanding of the conservation status excavated bones. 뼈의 보존 상태를 화학적으로 평가하기 위하여 조선시대 인골 10점을 대상으로 감쇠전반사법을 활용한 적외선 분광분석(FTIR-ATR)을 실시하였다. FTIR-ATR 스펙트럼을 통해 결정화 지수(crystallinity index; CI), 탄산염간의 비(C/C), 탄산염과 인산염의 비(C/P)를 계산한 결과 CI는 $4.25{\pm}0.78$, C/C는 $0.91{\pm}0.04$, C/P 는 $0.19{\pm}0.06$으로 확인되었다. 화학적 평가 결과 조직학 지수가 높을수록 CI와 C/P 값이 증가하며, C/C는 감소하는 것을 확인하였다. 반면 뼈에서 추출한 DNA 분석 가능 여부는 C/C가 낮고 C/P가 높을수록 분석이 가능 하였다. 이를 통해 FTIR을 이용한 화학적 평가와 조직 분석 결과가 출토 인골의 보존 상태를 종합적으로 파악하기 위한 기준으로 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

코로나 19로 인한 사회적 거리 두기가 계속되면서 온라인 쇼핑을 이용하는 고객이 증가했다. 그중 원활한 소통이 가능한 라이브 커머스 시장이 크게 성장했다. 모바일 기기만 있으면 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 라이브 커머스를 이용할 수 있지만 제한된 정보제공과 장애인을 위한 서비스가 없다는 것이 단점이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 정보를 제공하기 위한 멀티뷰 화면을 송출하고 TTS, 딥러닝 기반의 STT 기술을 활용해 시·청각 장애인을 위한 기능을 포함한 새로운 형태의 라이브 커머스 플랫폼 및 시스템 구조를 제안한다.
