        Muscle fatigue is a symptom that decreases your muscles’ ability to perform over time. It can be associated with a state of exhaustion, often following excessive sports activity or exercise. While exercise is a common cause of muscle fatigue, this symptom can be the result of other health conditions. Muscle fatigue caused by excessive activity limits activities of daily living and difficult to maintain a stable posture. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stretching, icing, and sports massage on muscle fatigue recovery.

        본 논문에서는 건설시장개방으로 인한 치열한 경쟁, 그린 라운드를 통한 강화된 환경제약조건, 복합적이며 다기화된 건설업역 등 급변하는 상황에 처해 있는 우리 건설업의 국제경쟁력을 확보하기 위하여 필연적으로 개선되어야 할 건설기술 교육제도에 대하여 살펴 보았다. 본 논문에서는 건설기술교육 중 대학에서의 건설교육 현황을 파악하고 미국 독일 영국 프랑스 일본 등 건설선진국의 건설교육현황을 조사하고 이를 토대로 우리 건설 교육제도를 분석하고 발전방안을 제시하였다. The Korean construction industries face challenging situations such as extreme competition in construction markets, high demand in construction performance, stringent constraints in environmental requirement, diverse types in construction projects, etc. In order for Korean construction industires not only to survive in international construction markets but to defend the domestic market, the cultivative development of quality construction engineers is the key. The key role to develop quality construction engineers has been performed by educational institutions primarily universities and technical colleges. This study focuses on universities as a prime educational institution to develop competent construction engineers working for the Korean construction industries to compete with the worldwide top ranked international construction companies. This study begins with the survey and the analysis of curriculums of Korean universities offering the construction engineering programs followed by the analysis of the five foreign universities’ curriculums including U. S. A., Germany, France, Japan, and U. K. After the comparative analysis between Korean’s and foreign ones, this study concludes with the suggestions to improve the univerities’ educational and the relevant systems to foster quality construction engineers.

      • ‘숙명역사관’뮤지엄 아이덴티티 개선을 위한 마케팅, 디자인 전략 수립 -특별 기획전, 홍보, 기프트 샵을 중심으로-

        본 연구는 디자인과 마케팅이 이분법적으로 나누어질 수 없음을 인식하고, 디자인과 마케팅을 융합하여 스페이스 디자인 마케팅을 통한 뮤지엄아이덴티티를 구축하는 일련의 프로세스를 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 2017년 3월~6월 총 15주간 숙명여자대학교 환경디자인과 ‘브랜드·스페이스·마케팅’수업에 서 진행된 결과물로서 작업물을 정리하였다. 본 연구의 범위는 4개(物, 事, 人, 場)의 주제 중, 장소(場)를 중심으로 ‘숙명역사관’의 그래픽, 제품, 공간을 개발하는 브랜드 매뉴얼과 연관하여 한정한다. 이에 본 연구는 ‘숙명역사관’이 가지고 있는 역사적 컨텐츠와 가치를 통해 현재 상황과 문제점을 분석하였다. 그 결과 ‘숙명역사관’의 다양한 마케팅 전략을 제시하고 이에 따른 디자인 전략과 해결 방안을 통해 디자인과 마케팅의 융합을 꾀하였다. 아울러 SWOT 분석을 통해 로고, 명함부터 새로 기획하는 숙명역사관 기프트샵, 인테리어디자인, 디스플레이, 공간연출과 그 안의 제품디자인에 이르기까지 일관성과 통일성을 추구했다. 끝으로 본 연구는 뮤지엄아이덴티티 구축을 위한 창의적 디자인 프로세스를 고찰하며, 이를 바탕으로 개발 매뉴얼을 총체적으로 정리함에 있어서 뮤지엄 브랜딩의 기초 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

      • A case of radiation therapy-associated sarcoma

        Radiation therapy (RT) is widely used as a choice of multidisciplinary treatment for many tumors. Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma of the skin and soft tissue is a kind of spindle cell neoplasms. Radiation induces chromosomal damage in non-tumoral connective tissue cells and sometimes leads to a clinical sarcoma somewhere in the field of radiation. Radiation induced sarcoma is a rare complication of RT. A 61-year-old female presented with painful erythematous papules and plaques on the right neck that first appeared 6 months ago. The size of the lesions gradually increased. She had been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma for neck mass 21 years ago and had received radiation treatment to the neck and mediastinum area for 7 weeks. Skin biopsy from the right shoulder demonstrated infiltrative neoplastic spindle cell proliferation with moderate pleomorphism and frequent mitosis in deep dermis. Immunohistochemical evaluation showed negative for CD34, SMA and Desmin. On the based of morphology and immunohistochemistry, this spindle cell tumor was compatible with undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma (previously called as Malignant fibrous histiocytoma). We herein report a rare case of postradiation sarcoma.

        Clinical Characteristics of False-Positive Lymph Node on Chest CT or PET-CT Confirmed by Endobronchial Ultrasound-Guided Transbronchial Needle Aspiration in Lung Cancer

        Background: Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) is a standard procedure to evaluate suspicious lymph node involvement of lung cancer because computed tomography (CT) and $^{18}F$-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography-CT (PET-CT) have limitations in their sensitivity and specificity. There are a number of benign causes of false positive lymph node such as anthracosis or anthracofibrosis, pneumoconiosis, old or active tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease, and other infectious conditions including pneumonia. The purpose of this study was to evaluate possible causes of false positive lymph node detected in chest CT or PET-CT. Methods: Two hundred forty-seven patients who were initially diagnosed with lung cancer between May 2009 and December 2012, and underwent EBUS-TBNA to confirm suspicious lymph node involvement by chest CT or PET-CT were analyzed for the study. Results: Of 247 cases, EBUS-TBNA confirmed malignancy in at least one lymph node in 189. The remaining 58 patients whose EBUS-TBNA results were negative were analyzed. Age ${\geq}65$, squamous cell carcinoma as the histologic type, and pneumoconiosis were related with false-positive lymph node involvement on imaging studies such as chest CT and PET-CT. Conclusion: These findings suggest that lung cancer staging should be done more carefully when a patient has clinically benign lymph node characteristics including older age, squamous cell carcinoma, and benign lung conditions.

      • Synthesis and Electroluminescent Characteristics of Red Phosphorescent Iridium(III) Complexes for Highly Efficient Organic Light-Emitting Diodes

        <P>The new red phosphorescent iridium(III) complexes, (DMP-MDCPQ)(2)Ir(tmd), (MTP-MQ) 2Ir(tmd) were synthesized for highly efficient red organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The main ligands consisted of electron-donor (3,5-dimethylphenyl), (5-methylthiophene) and electron-acceptor (4-methyl-7,8-dihydro-6H-cyclopenta[g]quinoline), 4-methylquinoline were synthesized by suzuki coupling reaction. The iridium(III) complexes based on main ligands and 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-3,5-heptanedione(tmd) ancillary ligands were synthesized by Nonoyama reaction and measured by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). Also, their luminescence property was investigated by UV-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy in dichloromethane (DCM) solvent. The manufactured OLEDs devices were characterized by investigation of current density-voltage-luminance, power efficiency, external quantum efficiency, EL spectrum. The iridium(III) complexes will be used as highly efficient dopants for the red OLEDs.</P>

      • Change of Perception of the Quality of Dying and Death (QODD) in the Intensive Care Unit by Healthcare Workers after Implementation of “well-dying law”

        Importance of dying with dignity in the ICU has been emphasized. However, our previous study found the end of life care in Korean ICU was significantly lower than that in other Caucasian ICU. The Korea ministry published “well-dying law” in 2018, nonbeneficial life-sustaining treatments for incapacitated patients with advanced illness is expected to reduce. We evaluated to whether the well dying law Resulted in significant improvement of the quality of death in ICU. We performed a multicenter prospective survey involving four medical ICUs. During January 1 2019-May 30 2020, we included medical staff who completed the QODD questionnaire which was provided to them 1-2 days after a patients’ death. We compared baseline characteristics of deceased patients, total QODD scores, individual items of QODD, and opinion of medical staff about withdrawal with those before the law. After the law, deceased patients were higher age, less likely to admit due to post resuscitation care, less likely to given sedatives, analgesics, and inotropes within 24 hours of death, lower GCS, and longer time to death from DNR documentation compared with those of patients before the law. All medical staffs reported higher QODD scores after the law, with doctors reporting 6.7 points higher and nurses about 5.7 points higher than the scores of those responded before the law. Both doctor and nurse gave higher scores when asked if the patients had been seen off by their family when the patients died. The higher agreement was shown after the law (47.6% vs 66.4%, p < 0.001). Our study is first to evaluate the effect of the well-dying law for quality of death in ICU. As expected, there was significant improvement of QODD score than score before the well-dying law. Furthermore, we found that increased aggrement with family/patients and medical staffs about withdrawal.

      • A case of disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis with dermal amyloid deposition

        Disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis (DSAP) is one of the porokeratosis and characterized by multiple, small lesions on sun-exposed areas of body. The presence of dermal amyloid deposition associated with disseminated superficial porokeratosis has rarely been reported in the literature. Although the relationship between these two entities is not clear, some authors believe that the amyloid deposits in disseminated superficial porokeratosis might be derived from degenerated epidermal keratinocytes. A 69-year-old female presented to our department with multiple pruritic brownish macules. Physical examination revealed scattered 2-3mm sized brownish colored round to annular macules on the both extremities and trunk area. Skin biopsy from the leg demonstrated a cornoid lamella in epidermis, in addition there were deposits of eosinophilic amorphous materials in dermis. After the congo red stain, the demal deposits were confirmed as the amyloid. We herein report a rare case of disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis with dermal amyloid deposition.

      • Is serum lymphocyte count helpful for identifying predictive biomarker to identify lung cancer patients who may benefit from an immunotherapy?

        Background: Programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression is not truly reflected response of immunotherapy. Thus, tumor mutational burden is new biomarker for predict response of immunotherapy. However, sufficient quantity or quality tumor samples must be obtained, so this is limitation. Therefore, we investigated whether high serum absolute lymphocyte count (ALC) is predictive biomarker for immunochemotherapy response regardless of PD-L1 immunohistochemistry stain among lung cancer patients. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the medical charts of lung cancer patients who treated with immunotherapy (pembrolizumab, nivoluamb, ipilimumab, atezolizumab) at Seoul National University Hospital between April 2016 and March 2019. We evaluated correlation the serum absolute lymphocyte count (ALC) with the progression free survival (PFS) using cox proportional hazard model. ALC at before and after one month of immunotherapy was collected. ALC are presented as medians with interquartile ranges (IQRs). Quartile group of ALC was compared using Kruskal-Wallis statistical test. Results: Total 236 patients treated with immunotherapy for lung cancer. Median follow up period was 4.7 months. During the period, 137 (58.1%) had progression of disease. Progression event was significantly lower for post-treatment ALC Q2-4 than Q1 in our adjusted model (Q4 HR 0.42 95% CI 0.24-0.71, p = 0.001). Overall survival was also showed similar results. Association with total or serious adverse event and ALC was not observed in this study. Conclusion: In this study, we revealed that increased post treatment ALC was associated with favor progression free and overall survival among lung cancer patients who treated with immunotherapy. Therefore, ALC could predict response of immune checkpoint inhibitor for lung cancer patients.
