      • Watershed 문자 영상 변환에 관한 연구

        Watershed algorithm has been used to extracting the boundary of image. Watershed algorithm has the structure of four steps and has many varieties. The result of watershed algorithm differs according to each structure of watershed algorithm. Also performance time differ according to other method in each steps of watershed algorithm. Numbers of Minima are associated with performance time of watershed algorithm and are influenced quality of the result. In this paper, we applied watershed algorithm to watershed character image transformation. In character image, watershed algorithm has problem of over-segmentation. Over-segmentation is increased in performance time and has low quality of the result. In problems, we are constructed watershed algorithm effectually. These are decreased in performance time and have high quality of the result. Besides Over-segmentation has not. In this paper, watershed character image transformation was managed the boundary which contains noise. This image has histogram values, which are managed effectively by image. In this experiment, we have been estimated for performance time and quality in image. Performance time of this paper method is decreased many time. While this paper is removed noise effectively which is in the part of overlap stroke.

      • 한국어 음성 인식을 위한 알고리즘의 설계와 하드웨어 구성

        Recently Korean speech recognition has been studied. Several methods used to designed the speech recognition system among the LPC, PARCOR, zero crossing, formant and sonagram. This paper presents a method to implement the system for phonemes of Korean speech recognition through the analysis of voice spectrum between the phonemes in the frequency domain by using filter bank. Frequency filter bank extracts characteristic parameters from voice spectrums separated by each frequency band. The strong point of this method lies in simplicity of hardware implementation and capability of real time processing. This results proves that simples data compression and real time voice recognition are possible by exploiting voice spectrum of 15 channels.

      • 지도 정보의 계층적 추출에 관한 연구

        In order to recognize map images automatically and make them in the form of Data Base, hierarchical classification and recognition of various information should be done. In this paper, a method with which map information can be efficiently extracted is proposed where map image is hierarchically classified by each component and those components are supplemented with the use of structural characteristics of each component. The proposed method extracts map information using mixed method among image structure analysis methods. First, character, block and road areas are classified hierarchically from the map image using bottom-up method, and by top-down method character and block areas are supplemented to be appropriate for recognition using structural characteristics of each component. For the evaluation of the algorithm, a map of 1:3,000 is used. It's been confirmed that each component can be efficiently extracted and extracted information make them in the form of Data Base have been confirmed recognition using neural network.

        In this paper, Korean isolated word speech signal is analyzed suing Wavelet transform which has the similarity to human hearing model. After the multiresolution decomposition of speech signal using discrete Wavelet transform, the reconstruction signals of each frequency band are extracted by inverse Wavelet transform. For the reconstruction signals extracted, speech range detection is carried out using the feature parameter of energy. Also, after the extraction of energy, zero­crossing and level­crossing for th bandpass filtered reconstruction signals, phonetic value level Consonant/Vowel classification is carried out by organizing statistical pattern classifier for template patterns.

        자가 Fibrin Glue와 연골세포를 이용한 연골조직 공학 기법에 관한 연구

        Neomorphogenesis of cartilage using chondrocyte-polymer constructs is a potential source for development of cartilage reconstruction. Current tissue engineering techniques of neocartilage rely on in vivo implantation of polymer-chondrocyte constructs. The purpose of this study was to find a way to bioengineer cartilage in vitro by entrapping chondrocytes in a molded autologous fibrin glue. Chondrocytes isolated from the cartilage of rabbit joints were combined with fibrinogen extracted by a single cryoprecipitation of autologous plasma, and they were then polymerized with thrombin to create a fibrin glue with a final cell density of 2.5x10?? cells/ml. The collagen for a control study was used as a polymer. The polymer-chondrocyte constructs were cultured for 4 weeks and the fibrin-chondrocyte constructs molded in the shape of a human ear were cultured for 6 weeks in vitro. Morphometric, histochemical, and histomorphometric analysis including glycosaminoglycan quantitation confirmed the following results: 1) Highly-concentrated autologous fibrinogen was easily extracted by a single cryoprecipition of autologous olasma. 2) The fibrin-chondrocyte constructs demonstrated the presence of actively proliferating chondrocytes with the production of cartilaginous matrix(collagen and glycosaminoglycan) at 1 week after culture, as well as gross and histologic evidence similar to those of normal cartilage at 3∼4 weeks after culture. 3) The collagen-chondrocyte constructs demonstrated lower degrees of hardness and transparency, as well as a lower density of cells and glycosaminoglycan during the culture period. 4) Neocartilage generated from fibrin-chondrocyte constructs in the shape of a human ear nearly retained their original configuration and size without degeneration for 6 weeks of culture in vitro. This study demonstrated a novel method for bioengineering the molded cartilage in vitro using autologous fibrin glue as a matrix scaffold. The generated cartilage showed gross and histologic evidence similar to those of normal cartilage, retaining the original gross dimension. With further refinement, this may be a new application of tissue engineering for the reconstruction of cartilage.

      • LBG-VQ/HMM을 이용한 한국어 음성의 음가분할 및 인식에 관한 연구

        This paper investigates the Korean rule-based system and its speech segmentation application with phonetic value. The wavelet transform is used as a part of the front-end processor, by which phonetic value shaped extracts non-uniform blocks. In non-uniform blocks, extracted feature parameter is carried out by consonants/vowels phonetic value segmentation that is based on LBG-VQ/HMM. 4 speakers (male) evaluated the results on a portion of Korean isolated words typed TIMIT corpus consisting of the isolated Korean words.

      • 암남공원의 식물상과 삼림식생에 관한 연구

        The objective of this study is to analyze the flora and forest vegetation of Amnam urban natural Park. 10 transects of quadrat of 10×10m were selected for the experiment. They were surveyed from January to October 1997. The obtained results were summerized as follows ; 1. The flora of plants distributed in Amnam Park was 88 families, 245 genus, 374 species. Dicotyledom in an angiosperm was 81.3% of total percentage was 73 families, 194 genus, 304 species, Monocotyledonous plant was 13.9% of total percentage was 7 families, 38 genus, 52 species, Gymnospermous plant was 2.1% of total percentage was 4 families, 5 genus, 8 species. Pteridophyta was 2.4% of total percentage was 3 families. 7 genus, 9 species, Shave grass was 0.3% of total percentage was 1 family, 1 genus, 1 species. 2. The representative wood plants of Amnam Park were Pinus thunbergii, Machilus thunbergii, Camellia japonica, Quercus spp., Celtis sinensis, Morus bombysis, Prunus sangentii, Sorbus alnifolia, Albizzia julibrissin, Juniperus rigida, Platycaya strobilacea, Lespedeza spp., Zanthoxylum piperitum, Zanthoxylum schinifolium, Rhus spp., Carpinus coreana, Mallotus japonicus. Ficus erecta, Pittosporum tobira, Eurya japonica. Elaeagnus macrophylla. 3. The area of plant community in Amnam Park was 84.29% in Pinus thunbergii community. 6.7% in Quercus dentata-Celtis sinensis community, 1.5% in Pittosporum tobira-Eurya japonica community, 1.4% in Quercus aliena-Prunus sargentii community, 1.29% in Pinus thunbergii-Pittosporum tobira community, 1.27% in Pinus thunbergii-Eurya japonica community.

      • 釜山市 主要公園의 野鼠類의 生態에 관한 硏究

        This experiment was conducted in the three areas of the main park in pusan for four times from March to July, 1987, in order to protect forest injury of field mice. The results were obtained as follow; 1. The species of field mice were Apodemus agrarius coreae, Apodemus speciosus peninsulae, Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue and Crocidura suaveolens shantungensis. 2. Total of 42 field mice collected were composed with 52.4% in Apodemus speciosus peninsulae 30.9% in Crocidura suaveolens shantungensis. 11.9% in Apodemus agrarius coreae, and 4.8% in Clethrionomys regulue. 3. The 42 indivisals of field mice were collected from 1,472 traps. 4. The locational proportions of field mice collected were 1.4%,, 3.8% and 3.5% in Stations, Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ, respecrively. 5. Apodemus speciosus peninsulae and Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue was not collected at the station Ⅰ. 6. The body weight ranged from 22 to 39.9g in Apodemus agrarius coreae, from 12 to 45.9g in Apodemus specious peninsulae, from 22 to 33.9g in Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue, It's average weight was 29.8g in Apodemus coreae and Apodemus Speciosus Peninsulae, and 27.8g in Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue, 7. The ratio of female to male of field mice was 0.6 to 0.4 in Apodemus agrarius coreae, 0.41 to 0.59 in Apodemus speciosus peninsulae, and 0.54 to 0.46 in Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue. 8. The average body length of field mice was 97.8mm in Apodemus agrarius coreae, 97.14mm in Apodemus speciosus peninsulae, and 101.5mm in Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue. 9. The average tail length of field mice was 78.2mm in Apodemus agrarius coreae, 95.23mm in Apodemus speciosus peninsulae, 35.0mm in Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue. 10. The average ear length of field mice was 14.3mm in Apodemus agrarius coreae, 15.77mm in Apodemus speciosus peninsulae, 14.0mm in Clethrionomys rufocanus regulue. 11. The breeding period of field mice was between March and July in pusan area. 12. average fetal number of field mice was 3.0 in Apodemus agrarius coreae, 4.8 in Apodemus speciosus peninsulae, and 4.5 in Crocidura suaveolens shantungensis.

      • Assessment of radiation exposure from cesium-137 contaminated roads for epidemiological studies in Seoul, Korea

        Objectives We aimed to assess the radiation exposure for epidemiologic investigation in residents exposed to radiation from roads that were accidentally found to be contaminated with radioactive cesium-137 ($^{137}Cs$) in Seoul. Methods Using information regarding the frequency and duration of passing via the $^{137}Cs$ contaminated roads or residing/working near the roads from the questionnaires that were obtained from 8875 residents and the measured radiation doses reported by the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, we calculated the total cumulative dose of radiation exposure for each person. Results Sixty-three percent of the residents who responded to the questionnaire were considered as ever-exposed and 1% of them had a total cumulative dose of more than 10 mSv. The mean (minimum, maximum) duration of radiation exposure was 4.75 years (0.08, 11.98) and the geometric mean (minimum, maximum) of the total cumulative dose was 0.049 mSv (<0.001, 35.35) in the exposed. Conclusions An individual exposure assessment was performed for an epidemiological study to estimate the health risk among residents living in the vicinity of $^{137}Cs$ contaminated roads. The average exposure dose in the exposed people was less than 5% of the current guideline.

        A Modified SweepSAR Mode with Dual Channels for High Resolution and Wide Swath

        In this study, an imaging mode of the modified SweepSAR is proposed with performance analysis for a high-resolution and wide swath coverage. To reduce the overall antenna size required for the solution of the azimuth ambiguity problem, different pulse repetition frequencies (PRFs) are utilized for different transmitters, respectively. For each imaging mode, system performance parameters are used for simulation, analysis, wide swath prediction, and comparison between conventional ScanSAR mode and SweepSAR mode based on scanon-receive (SCORE). The system parameters of AASR, RASR, and NESZ will be estimated and suggested on the imaging mode by using appropriate reflector antenna with the effectiveness of a modified SweepSAR employing dual channels.
