      • 흰쥐 중추신경계내 난소로 투사하는 미주신경로에 관한 연구

        본 실험은 부교감신경의 하나인 미주신경이 난소를 지배하는 신경으로 관여하고 있는지를 pseudorabies 바이러스를 이용하여 난소신경로와 난소주사후 미주신경절단을 통하여 조사한 연구 보고이다. 이를 위하여 Sprague Dawley계 암흰쥐를 대상으로 pseudorabies 바이러스를 난소에 주사한 무리와 난소 주사후 미주신경을 절단한 무리에서 뇌를 적출하여 pseudorabies 바이러스에 대한 면역조직화학 염색을 시행하여 비교하였다. 본 실험결과 미주신경 중추신경로내의 상위신경핵들이 pseudorabied 바이러스에 대하여 양성반응이 줄어들었거나 관찰되지 않는 차이를 보였다. 즉 적색핵, 종말판혈관기관, 줄무늬체, 침상핵과 이마엽겉질은 부분적으로 난소의 미주신경로에 관여하고 있으며 미주신경등쪽핵, 고립로핵, 최후영역, 청색반점, 팔옆핵, 코리케퓨즈핵, 흑색질 및 시각교차위핵은 양성반응이 관찰되지 않아 미주신경으로 투사하는 부교감신경핵으로 조사되었다. The mammalian ovary has been known as receiving its innervation by sympathetic and sensory neurons of the peripheral nervous system from the brain. Recently, there were several functional reports that the vagus nerves were also regulating the ovarian function, but the vagus nerve had not been identified by clear morphological evidence. A viral transneuronal tracing technique has been used to demonstrate the morphological evidence for the central vagal involvement in ovarian innervation in brain areas. Bartha strain of pseudorabies virus injection was made into the ovary of Sprague Dawley rats. In experimental group, the vagus nerve of the same injection side was removed right after ovarian injection. At five days after initial injection, all the rats were sacrificed and brains were processed for immunohistochemistry. Several central nuclei including hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus showed strong bilateral positive labelings after unilateral injection in control rats, but the positive labelings were disappeared or decreased in several hypothalamic nuclei and nuclei of the vagus nerve. I n conclusion, these results provide the morphological evidence that vagus nerve has neural connection to ovary and by which the central nervous system may maintains the state of ovulation and reproduction as a possible parasympathetic routes in mammals.

      • Low temperature atomic layer deposition of nickel sulfide and nickel oxide thin films using Ni(dmamb)<sub>2</sub> as Ni precursor

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Nickel(II) 1-dimethylamino-2-methyl-2-butoxide (Ni(dmamb)<SUB>2</SUB>) with water and hydrogen sulfide as oxygen and sulfur sources was employed in atomic layer deposition (ALD) of nickel oxide (NiO) and nickel sulfide (NiS) thin films. Both NiO and NiS thin films demonstrate temperature-independent growth rates per cycle of 0.128 nm/cycle and 0.0765 nm/cycle, at 130–150 °C and 80–160 °C, respectively. Comparison of two nickel-based thin film materials demonstrates dissimilar deposition features depending on the reactivity of the Ni precursor, i.e., Ni(dmamb)<SUB>2</SUB> with anion sources provided by the water and hydrogen sulfide reactants. Difference in reactivity observed for NiO and NiS ALD processes is further investigated by density functional theory (DFT) simulations of surface reactions, which indicated that H<SUB>2</SUB>S demonstrate higher reactivity with surface-adsorbed Ni precursor than H<SUB>2</SUB>O. The material properties of ALD NiO and NiS thin films including stoichiometry, crystallinity, band structure, and electronic properties were analyzed by multiple experimental techniques, showing potential of ALD NiS as electrode or catalyst for energy-oriented devices.</P>

        흰쥐 중추신경계내 난소로 투사하는 미주신경로에 관한 연구

        흰쥐 뇌에서 속후각겉질 손상 후 해마로 투사하는 콜린성 신경로의 변화에 관한 연구

        흰쥐 뇌에서 해마로 투사하는 신경로와 콜린성 신경로를 구축한 뒤 속후각겉질 손상 후에 해마로 투사되는 두 신경로 의 형태학적인 변화를 조사하기 위하여 pseudorabies 바이러스의 Bartha stain을 신경로 추적자로 이용하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 안쪽격벽핵 (medial septal nucleus), 줄무늬침상핵 (bed nucleus stria terminalis) 등 10여 핵에서 양성반응이 나타나 해마로 투사하는 신경로를 구축하였으며 무과립 섬겉질 (agranular insular cortex), 중심편도핵 (central amygdala)등의 여러 신경핵들이 해마로 투사하는 콜린성 신경로를 구성하는 신경핵으로 조사되었다. 이 중 신경핵의 종류에 따라 이중양성반응 정도에는 차이를 보여 콜린성 신경로는 신경핵에 따른 차이를 보였다. 속후각겉질 손상 후 10일과 30일에 해마로 투사하는 신경로와 콜린성 신경로의 형태학적 변화를 조사한 결과 내측안쪽무릎핵 (medial geniculate complex, medial part)과 내측배쪽무릎핵 (medial geniculate complex, ventral part) 및 시상(thalamus)등 일부 신경핵에서 양성반응을 보이는 신경세포들의 수가 현저히 감소하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 Alzheimer’s 질환 모델인 속후각겉질 손상 흰쥐에서 신경로 구성 세포, 콜린성 신경세포 및 신경핵들이 감소되어 치매시의 신경손상이 신경로를 따라 일어 나며 신경세포 수의 감소와 신경전달물질의 감소가 동반 될 것으로 사료된다. The hippocampus is known as involved in learning and memory functions and the entorhinal cortex plays a crucial role as a gateway connecting the several areas and hippocampal formation. Entorhinal cortex lesions have been employed in numerous studies as the Alzheimer’s disease model. The purpose of this study were to identify the CNS hippocampal and cholinergic pathway and to investigate the morphological changes of the hippocampal cholinergic innervations by using the Pseudorabies virus injection into the hippocampus after entorhinal cortex lesions. The pseudorabies virus and double labelled neurons (ChAT and PRV) were distributed at several different nuclei including agranular insular cortex, bed nucleus of stria terminalis, central amygdala, globus pallidus, lateral segment, lateral hypothalamic area, laterodorsal tegmental nucleus, medial septal nucleus, mesencephalic reticular nucleus, periaqueductal gray matter and substantia innominata The morphological changes were observed in the hippocampal cholinergic innervation after entorhinal cortex lesions. These data suggested that the hippocampal cholinergic innervation showed morphological changes throughout the whole brain areas after entorhinal cortex lesion.

        안토시아닌 발현이 좋고, 저온기 다수성 잎상추 ‘미선’ 육성

        A new lettuce cultivar ‘Misun’ (Lactuca sativa L.) with wrinkled traverse narrow elliptic and deep red leaf, which has late bolting and high yield. It was developed from a cross between ‘Yeoreum Jeocgchima’ (deep red leaf color) and ‘Yeoreum dukseomjeokchukmyeon’ (high yield). The cross and selection for advanced lines had been done by the pedigree method from 2001 to 2008. The advanced lines were evaluated for yield and adaptability at several locations in Korea (Gangwon-do, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, Jeollabuk-do, Gyeongnam-do, and Jeju-do) from 2009 to 2011 year. The ‘Misun’ has gray seed color and traverse narrow elliptic leaves. The shelf-life of ‘Misun’ was four weeks longer than ‘Dukseomjeokchukmyeon’ at 4℃. The anthocyanin content of ‘Misun’ (88.32 mg/100 g) was higher than that of ‘Dukseomjeokchukmyeon’(74.78 mg/100g). The BSL (latucin+8-deoxylactucin+lactucopicrin) content of ‘Misun’ (5.0 ug/g, DW) is lower than that of ‘Dukseomjeokchukmyeon’(12.0 ug/g, DW). Compared to ‘Dukseomjeokchukmyeon’, marketable yield of ‘Misun’(289 g per plant) was 11% higher than that of it, showed good yield in fall season cultivation and has particularly improved expression of red leaf color at high temperature cultivation in the field. Furthermore, its taste is better, more crispy, and sweeter than those of ‘Dukseomjeokchukmyeon’. Thus, this new cultivar ‘Misun’ can be suitable for cultivation in low temperature during spring and fall season season.

        Full-dose sofosbuvir plus low-dose ribavirin for hepatitis C virus genotype 2-infected patients on hemodialysis

        Background/Aims: New direct-acting antivirals have shown surprising success in the treatment of hepatitis C, not only in the general population, but also in difficult- to-treat cohorts. However, there is still limited data regarding direct-acting antivirals, including sofosbuvir (SOF), in the context of hemodialysis. The aim of this study was to investigate the safety and outcome of administering full-dose SOF (400 mg/day) plus low-dose ribavirin (RBV, 100 to 200 mg/day) in hemodialysis patients with hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 2 (GT2) infection. Methods: Patients with chronic HCV GT2 infection and end-stage renal disease on maintenance hemodialysis treated with full-dose SOF plus low-dose RBV were retrospectively identified from a database of patients with HCV GT2 who were treated in Konkuk University Chungju Hospital between February 2017 and February 2018. Medical records were reviewed for demographics, medical history, laboratory data, and radiologic and electrocardiographic findings. Results: All nine patients completed a full course of 12 weeks of treatment with a full-dose SOF plus low-dose RBV regimen. Two had compensated cirrhosis. Seven patients were treatment-naïve, and two had a relapse following previous interferon-based therapy. All patients had a sustained viral response at 12 weeks post-treatment. There was no discontinuation of treatment because of side effects. Conclusions: In hemodialysis patients with HCV GT2 infection, the full-dose SOF plus low-dose RBV regimen appears to be safe and well tolerated, and yields high rates of sustained virologic response.

        신축 대학건물의 실내 공기환경 측정 및 평가

        Educational facilities have a lots of IAQ problems because of the high levels of airtightness, poor ventilation, and the increase of the compounds in construction materials. Various studies were carried out on the IAQ problems in the educational facilities such as childcare center, elementary school, middle school, and high school. However, there are few studies on the IAQ problems in the university buildings. In this paper, the IAQ in university buildings including CO, CO₂, HCHO, TVOC, and PM10 are measured and assessed with IAQ standard. As a results, CO concentrations were very lower than the standard in all rooms. CO₂ concentrations were lower than the standard in most rooms but that shows three times higher than the standard in lecture room. HCHO concentrations were twice higher than the standard in most rooms. TVOC concentrations were higher than the standard in administration office and storage facility for library. PM10 concentrations were lower than the standard in all rooms. Therefore, countermeasures are needed on the CO₂, HCHO, TVOC concentration in the problem buildings.
