        척추질환 입원환자의 연도별 변동추이에 대한 통계적 고찰

        Objectives : The aim of this study was to find the change in the number of inpatient with spine disease, data were reviewed on inpatients who was diagnosed as spine disease in the Kyung-hee Medical Center(KHMC) for 25 years(1980~2004). Methods : Analysis data of the number of spinal disease was based on the KHMC annual report for 25 years(1980~2004). Results : 1. The number of inpatient in KHMC with spine disease has been increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value:0.000) 2. The number of inpatient in KHMC with ankylosing spodylitis(AS) is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value=0.000) 3. The number of inpatient in KHMC with spinal stenosis is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value=0.000) 4. The number of inpatient in KHMC with herniated nucleus pulposus of cervical spine(HNP of C-spine) is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004(p-value=0.000) 5. The number of inpatient in KHMC with herniated nucleus pulposus of Lumbar spine(HNP of L-spine) is increasing during 25years from 1980 to 2004 (p-value=0.007) Conclusions : It is suggesting that the number of patients of spinal stenosis and HNP of L-spine increase at KHMC.

        The effect of neuropeptides on secretion of Interleukin-8(IL-8)

        본 연구는 치수조직, 치은, 치주인대로부터 배양된 조직을 SP (Substance P)로 4시간, SP, CGRP (Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide), Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)로 8시간 자극 후 RNase Protection Assay를 시행하고, IL-8의 분비량을 측정해 다음 결과를 얻었다. 1. IL-8 mRNA는 모든세포에서 발현됐다. 2. IL-8 mRNA 발현은 SP (10^(-5)M)와 SP (10^(-8)M)로 4시간 자극 시 증가되지 않았다. 3. IL-8 mRNA 발현은 SP (10^(-4)M)와 CGRP (10^(-6)M)로 8시간 자극 시 증가되지 않았다. 4. TNF-α (2 ng/㎖) 자극 시, IL-8 mRNA 발현이 증가됐다. 5. 치은 세포를 CGRP (10^(-6)M)로 8시간 자극 시, IL-8 분비량이 증가했다 (p < 0.05). 6. 치주인대 세포를 SP (10^(-4)M)로 8시간 자극 시 IL-8 분비량이 증가했다 (p < 0.05). We investigated the secretion of Interleukin-8 (IL-8) from ginviva and periodontal ligament stimulated with Substance P (SP) and Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide (CGRP). Gingiva (GF), periodontal ligament (PDLF) and pulp (PF) tissues were collected from extracted instact 3rd molars. Cultured cells were stimulated with different concentrations of SP for 4 hrs, and stimulated with SP, CGRP and Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) for 8 hrs. Then RNase Protection Assay was carried out. ELISA was performed using supernatants of stimulated cells for quantitative analysis of IL-8. Results were assessed using supernatants of stimulated cells for quantitative analysis of IL-8. Results were assessed using student t-test with significance of P < 0.05. According to this study, the results were as follows: 1. IL-8 mRNA was detected in all type of cells studied (PF, GF and PDLF). 2. IL-8 mRNA expression was not increased after stimulating 4 hrs with SP (10^(-5)M) and SP (10^(-8)M) compared with Mock stimulation in all type of cells studied. 3. IL-8 mRNA expression was not increased after stimulating 8 hrs with SP (10^(-4)M) and CGRP (10^(-6)M) compared with Mock stimulation in all type of cells studied. 4. TNF-α (2 ng/㎖) increased the expression of IL-8 mRNA in all kind of cells studied. 5. The secretion of IL-8 from GF was increased 8 hrs after the stimulation with CGRP (10^(-6)M) (p < 0.05). 6. The secretion of IL-8 from PDLF was increased 8 hrs after the stimulation with SP (10^(-4)M) (p < 0.05). Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide (CGRP) increased Interleukin-8 (IL-8) which plays an important role in chemotaxis of neutrophil in Calcitonin Gene-related Peptide (CGRP) gingival tissue, whereas Substance P increased the secretion of IL-8 from periodontal ligament.

        Numerical Analysis on Crack Generation Behavior of Hypo Peritectic Steel in Continuous Casting Process

        Hypo peritectic steels exhibit a high possibility of longitudinal crack during continuous casting. Therefore, many researchershave studied the mechanisms of crack generation in hypo peritectic steel. Stress in solidified shell, or volume contractionwith small liquid fractions were suggested as the mechanisms of crack generation. A new model was developed for predictingpossibility of crack generation by calculating strain rates in solid, volume contraction rate during solidification, and theprobability of liquid unfilling in continuous cooling processes. The results show that massive transformation from the δphase to the γ phase, and peritectic transformation during solidification can be the main crack generation mechanisms. Furthermore,a linear relationship exists between the amount of undercooling for peritectic transformation (dTp) and the carboncontent of the boundary for dividing the two crack generation mechanisms. Additionally, the longitudinal crack ratios ofthe field results are analyzed through strain rates in solid and liquid unfilling possibilities. Relative positions in the range ofhypo peritectic steel and effective carbon contents are suggested to analyze the crack ratio of steels with alloying elements. This analysis shows that the results obtained from the new models for crack generation possibility are usable, and dTpcangenerate the behavioral differences in crack generation according to the conditions.

      • 계태아연속계대에 의한 내열성 Newcastle disease virus 분리주의 약독화

        In the cases of Newcastle disease(ND) outbreaks in the pheasant farms located in Chungchung area, five heat-stable Newcastle disease viruses(NDV) have been isolated from the diseased pheasants, and the various biological properities of the isolates have been reported. In this study, we attempted attenuation of a heat-stable NDV isolate, CBPI by serial subpassages in SPF chick-embryo and examined its pathogenicity and immunogenicity. When CBPI isolate was subpassaged by the 153rd levels, the heat stability was not changed as compared with that of the parent virus. However, its virulence was reduced according to increasing level of subpassage. The chicken infected with the attenuated CBPI at age of 1, 2 and 5 weeks showed no mortality with mild respiratory signs in all age groups tested, and significantly decreasing body weight gains in the 5 week-old chicken, while parent virus showed 100% mortality in all age groups. In comparison of adverse reactions between the attenuated CBPI and B1 strain in 1 week-old chicken with NDV maternal antibody(HI antibody titer>1:8). both viruses manifested no specific clinical signs, but significantly lower body weight gain in the group of chicken inoculated with CBPI. When the attenuated CBPI or B1 strains were inoculated into the 3 week-old chicken vaccinated primarily with B1 strain, both of viruses showed no specific side effects and changes in body weight. However, the HI antibody titers in the chicken inoculated with the attenuated CBPI were slightly higher than that of the chicken inoculated with B1 vaccine.

      • 복합 운동프로그램이 초등학생의 신체구성, 혈중지질 및 체력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the present study was to examine the effects of combined training on the changes of body composition, blood lipid profile and fitness in elementary school students. Thirty subjects participated in the present study. The subjects were divided into two groups either exercise group for 10weeks(15n) or control group for 10weeks(l5n) The results were described as follows; 1) There were significant differences in the body weight and lean body mass after the exercise program between two groups. 2) There were no significant differences in the blood TC, HDL-C, LDL-C, TG concentration after the exercise program between two groups. 3) There were significant differences in the sit-up and flexibility after the exercise group between two groups. In conclusion, it might be thought that the combined training improved the levels of body composition and health-related fitness in elementary subjects.

      • ZnO첨가에 따른 0.67Pb(Mg_(1)/3NB_(2/3)-0.33PbTiO_(3) 세라믹스의 상전이 온도와 압전특성의 변화

        ZnO첨가에 따른 0.67PMN-0,33PT 세라믹스의 상전이 온도, 유전 및 압전 특성의 변화를 조사하였다. ZnO를 첨가하지 않은 시편의 경우 소결 온도가 1,100℃인 반면, ZnO를 0.2wt%첨가한 시편의 경우 1,000℃에서 이미 소결 완료 되었으며 이것은 ZnO가 소결을 촉진시키는 재료로 작용하였으며 이러한 결과는 시편의 수축률 기공률, 밀도측정 결과로 부터 확인할수 있었다. XRD 분석결과ZnO를 첨가한 시편에서 pyrochlore상과 어떠한 불순물도 존재하지 않았으며. 이는 Columbit precursor법과 PbO 과잉첨가법을 병행하였기 때문이며, ZnO 첨가에 따라 결자상수가 증가하고T_(max)가 고온쪽으로 이동하는 것으로 보아 Zn^(2+) 의 일부가 Mg^(2+)자리에 치환하여 들어간 것으로 생각된다, 온도에 따른 유전특성 결과로 부터 소량의 ZnO만을 첨가 하여도 ZnO를 첨가하지 않은 시편과 비교해 볼때 현저한 유전특성의 향상을 보였고 900℃에서 2시간 소결한ZnO 02wt%첨가 시편은 최대 유전상수가 22,000이었다. ZnO첨가에 따른 0.67PMN-0.33PT세라믹스의 압전특성 결과로부터 0.2wt% 첨가한 시편의 경우 36%의 Kp값을 보였고, 0.2wt%를 초과 하면서 부터는 점차 감소하는 경향을 보였다, 이러한 압전특성 결과로 부터 ZnO는 물질내에서 donor및 acceptor로 작용하고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

        甘豆湯 전탕액과 구성약물이 배양심근세포 박동수에 미치는 영향

        To test the protective effect of herbal medicine on myocardial damage against adriamycin-induced myocardiotoxicity, cytotoxicity of adriamycin was examined using MTT assay and protective effect of herbal medicine in the presence of water extract of Gamdu-tang, Gamigamdu-tang, or single constituents of these prescriptions was examined using counting of beating rate. The results of these experiments were obtained as follows : Adriamycin resulted in a decrease in viability and beating rate in cultured myocardial cells. Gamdu-tang water extract shows effects of protection from the cardiocyte toxicityinduced by adriamycin treatment such as increases beating rate. Gamigamdu-tang water extract shows the similar protective evvect as shown in gamdu-tang treatment on the decreasing of beating rate induced by adriamycin. Radix Glycyrrhizae, Semen Glycine, and Folium Phyllostachyos water extract shows a significant effect of protection for cardiotoxicity induced by adriamycin in cultured myocardial cells. These results show that adriamycin elicits toxic effects in cultured myocardial cells derived from neonatal mouse, and suggest teat water extract of gamdu-tang, gamigamdu-tang, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Semen Glycine, or Folium Phyllostachyos is very effective in the prevention of adriamycin-induced cardiotoxicity/

        2급 와동 수복시 사용방법에 따른 복합 레진 인레이의 변연누출에 관한 실험적 연구

        The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the marginal microleakage of Class Ⅱ composite resin inlay restoration and to compare the marginal leakage of inlay with indirectly placed composite restoration and that of direct filling composite restoration. MO or DO cavity preparations were cut in 60 extracted human permanent molars. The experimental group was restored with Herculite XR inlay, Clearfil inlay, and E.O.S. inlay with dual cement. The control group was directly filled with Herculite XR after being etched and applied with dentin bonding agent. The specimens were thermocycled 1,000 times between 5℃ and 55℃. Microleakage was evaluated by use of the Methylene bule staining technique. The depth of microleakage was measured with stereomicroscope after the teeth were sectioned. The obtained results were as follows : 1. The marginal leakage was reduced in the order of Clearfil inlay, Herculity XR-inlay, E.O.S. inlay, and Herculite XR-direct filling group at the occlusal margin. 2. The marginal leakage was reduced in the order of Clearfil inlay, Herculity XR-inlay, Herculite XR-direct filling group and E.O.S. inlay at the gingival margin. 3. Generally, the marginal leakage was more greatly showed at the gingival margin than at the occlusal margin. 4. The marginal leakage was greatest at the gingival margin of E.O.S. inlay, and was the least at the occlusal margin of Clearfil inlay.
