MoS_2와 PTFE 고체윤활제에 의한 표면개질에 따른 윤활특성 연구

The lubricational characteristics about friction wear has an effect on the material quality of sruface. In this paper, we studied the luricational characteristics through the surface modification experimint by spray coating the surface with MoS_2 and PTFE solid lubricants. In the case of MoS_2 and PTFE coating, the friction coefficient of Journal is lower than that for noncoating so the friction characteristics is excellent. In particular, the beginning characteristics of MoS_2 coating is excellent, and in the case of PTFE coating, seizure doesn't appear seizure. MoS_2 and PTFE coating are excellent in the extreme pressure at high load. The wear characteristics is excellent in the following order: PTFE < MoS_2 < Non Coating. For Non coating, seizure appers at the beginning due to the heat, but in the case of MoS_2 and PTFE coating, it will have the execellent heat stability even at high temperature. Accordingly, if Journal is coating with MoS_2 and PTFE, it will be able to improve lubricant characteristics as a resuly of the increase of the anti-wear, the extreme pressure and the heat stability. Among of these, lubricant characteristics of PTFE coating is the most excellent.

Hexafluoropropylene oxide(HFPO) is a representative oxygen-containing C₃ fluoromonomer, which enhances physical and chemical properties of fluoro copolymers. It is also essentially used for manufacturing fluorinated ion-exchange membranes such as Nafionⓡ. HFPO was successfully obtained from a liquid-phase epoxidation of hexafluoropropylene with active oxygen species such as NaOCl and H₂O₂. Addition of transition metal halides to the HFP epoxidation was revealed to appreciably enhance the yield of HFPO. Among the transition metal halides used, ferric chloride showed the highest catalytic activity in the epoxidation reactions with both NaOCl and H₂O₂.
