The spirit of Gary's poems seems to be derived from the mountains he has climbed up and from the mountains he appreciated in eastern landscape-paintings. 'Mountain' in his poetry connotes a supreme sphere he is aware of his 'mountain' is not a mountain we climb once, but a 'mountain' endlessly, nor a mountain never changed, but a 'mountain' born newly and continually in the course of his life. Gary's 'mountain' reflects his prospect for a hopeful future he has mode true in the course of his life, and is the most precious life he suggests to mankind. The image of boulder in his poems implies a mechanism or a mental process through which a poet may reach to his spiritual awakening in order to live an exalted life he suggests. He makes an overture to take a room for sitting on the boulder to live in harmony with nature, and reminds the readers of the fact that nature and human being are inseparably related. Gary's view of nature presupposes an organic relationship between all the things in the earth and a relationship of reciprocal coexistence and interanimating. He insists that the harmony of nature in the condition of all the variety in nature living brings forth the supreme sphere. Cary inspires that his concern in ecosystem springs from a duty of a poet, and that oneness with nature brings the supreme space to live together.

음주 운동 및 식생활사이의 관련성

A survey was performed to investigate the relationship among drinking, exercises and dietary variables of male college students in order to improve their dietary status and habits. The subjects of 199 were asked to answer the questionaires and to visit the students' health center for their anthropometric measurements. Over 81% of the male college students enjoyed drinking and that was as often as once a week mostly. The students usually did exercises by 82.7%, which belonged to moderate strength. Their diet status revealed as moderate by over 60% and as poor by 34.2%. Drinking frequently seemed to be related to reduced nutrition knowledge and to inferior diet status, but not to weight, blood pressure, BIA and various illness. Exercise group showed significantly increased body weight and decreased BIA when compared to no exercise group. But there were no difference in blood pressure, various illness, nutrition knowledges or diet status by exercise.

This study was conducted to have basic and applied informations to establish the cultivation method and to improve the cultivation techniques of Angelica gigas Nakai through investigating the rates of germination and seedling establishment with treatment of plant growth regulator and seed priming. The germination rates of round shape seed were about 0.3~12% higher than those of parallel shape. The germination rates with different storage durations were increased at the level of 25oC and 4oC with the storage days, while they were clearly higher at -20oC compared to those at 4oC and 25oC without the storage durations. With the results of germination rates with treating of plant growth regulator and seed priming, their rates with the round shape seeds were comparatively higher about 6% than those with parallel shape seed and they were increased with increasing of the storage durations. The germination rates were generally appeared higher with GA3 than did those with seed priming. The highest germination rate was appeared at 50 ppm GA3 of plant growth regulator and at -0.5 MPa PEG6000 of seed priming. The germination rates?ㅤ ?ㅤ of Angelica gigas were different with different temperature, storage durations and the treatments of plant growth regulator and seed priming. These results could be used according to different cultivating conditions.

하악에 발생한 과잉치의 치험례 : A CASE REPORT

과잉치는 정상치판(dental lamina)의 과도한 증식이 결과로 발생되어, 가족적 성향을 보이며, 쇄골두개이형성(Cleidocranial dysplasia), Gardner 증후군 등의 여러 질환과 관련되어 나타나기도 한다. 그 빈도는 유치열에서 0.3~0.8%, 영구치열에서 1.0~3.5% 이고, 남성에서 호발되며(2:1), 상악에서 더 많이 발생한다(9:1). 상악에서는 mesiodens라고 불리는 중절치 사이의 위치가 가장 흔한 부위이고, 그 다음은 fourth molar와 측절치 부위이다. 하악에서는 소구치 부위가 가장 흔한 부위이고 전치부위에서는 약 2%로 매우 드물게 발생한다. 과잉치의 만기 잔존은 치간 이개, 인접한 치아의 맹출 장애, 치근 흡수 등을 야기하고 과잉치와 관련되어 함치성 낭종이 발생될 수 있으므로 조기진단과 적절한 치료가 중요하다. 본 두 증례는 비교적 드물게 나타나는 하악에 발생한 과잉치로, 하악 전치부와 소구치부에 발생한 과잉치를 발거하고 교정치료를 시행하여 양호한 결과를 얻었기에 보고하는 바이다. Supernumerary tooth was resulted from excessive proliferation of dental lamina and associated with familial tendency and a congenital syndrome such as Cleidocranial dysostosis or Gardner's syndrome. Incidence reports identify a range of 0.3~0.8% in primary dentition. 1.0~3.5% in permanent dentistion with males being affected twice as frequently as females. maxilla nine times as frequently as mandible. The most common supernumeraty tooth is the mesiodens, which located between the maxillary central incisors, and the next common site is the fourth molar and lateral incisors. Supernumerary teeth are uncommon in the mendible, but premolars are the most common supernumerary teeth and occurrence is very rare in the incisor region of the mandible of possibility of diastema and cruption failure displacement. rotation of the associated permanent teeth, root resorption and dentigerous cyst with presence of the supernumerary teeth. In this two case, one supernumerary tooth located in the mandibular incisor region, the other supernumerary tooth located in premolar region. We could get normal alignment of mandibular dentition by extraction and orthodontic treatment.

This paper used psychological variables to understand outbound tourists' purchase behavior on life-style and purchase-style. The purpose of this study is to analyze lifestyle and purchase-style types of outbound tourists. Also it is to see if there is any relationship between life-styles and purchase styles. The research Method includes literary studies and empirical studies. Using 240 questionnaire respondence of outbound tourists, author conducted factor and cluster analysis with one-way ANOVA analysis. The results are as follows. First, the segment-markets according to the life-styles of outbound of tourists turned out to be external/achivemental, indivisualistic and traditional types. Second, purchase-style types of outbound tourists showed advertisement-purchase, safe-purchase, practical-purchase and loyal-purchase. Third, it reveals that there is difference between purchase styles and life styles. In conclusion, purchase-style variable as well as life-style one counts very usefully to be aware of the purchase behavior of outbound tourists.

Extraction therapy is popular treatment protocol in orthodontics. Generally, symmetric premolar extraction is performed. But, in some cases, asymmetric extraction is required to solve asymmetric dental alignment. But asymmetric extraction treatment has side effects and disadvantages like a) collapse of dental arch form. b) canting of occlusal plane, c) extended treatment duration. For a good treatment result, we applied the orthodontic space closing arch wire with swivel joint to allow rotational movement of arch wire segments during space closure, Now we present a case treated with orthodontic space closing arch wire with swivel joint.

Insulin has a variety of activities like as glucose uptake, inhibition of lipolysis, glycogen biosynthesis in a number of cells and tissues. Recently insulin has known to exert an antiapoptotic activity in different cell systems. However, it is not clear by which insulin can protect apoptosis cells from apoptosis. Thus, CHO cells expressing the human insulin receptors (CHO-IR) were used to evaluate the importances of different signaling steps activated by insulin in this process. The Ras/Raf-1/MEK/ERK cascade and the serine/threonine protein kinase Akt are two survival pathways that may be activated in response to insulin. We tested the hypothesis that inhibition of farnesylated Ras was casually related to manumycin-induced apoptosis and showed that the response to manumycin was found to be independent of K-Ras function. Moreover, blocking Ras/Raf-1/MEK/ERK cascade by the expression of a transdominant inhibitory mSOSI mutant in CHO-IR cells kept cells to sensitive to the antiapoptotic action of insulin. Insulin-dependent activation of Akt was blocked by 4th treatment with manumycin. This study suggest that the deplection of short-lived farnesylated proteins by manumycin suppresses the antiapoptotic action of insulin at least in part by disrupting Akt­activation but not of the K-Ras/Raf-1/MEK/ERK-dependent cascade.
