      • Study on phenotyping of rice for drought tolerance using hyper-spectral reflectance imagery

        This study was conducted to provide basic data for high-throughput screening (HTS) system construction based on phenomics. Rice (Oryza sativa cv. Chucheongbyeo) seedlings in vegetative growth stage were grown in the glass house and treated with 0, 3.75, 7.5, 15, and 30% (w/v) of polyethylene glycol (PEG) to give osmotic stress. Three days after PEG treatment, hyper-spectral reflectance images were obtained and analyzed after removing background image in several steps. The reflectance of rice seedlings treated with 15 and 30% of PEG solutions were significantly different at 680 nm, where differences in the chlorophyll reflectance spectrum and visual symptoms were not observed. These results thus indicate that hyper-spectral reflectance observed at 680 nm can be used to screen drought tolerant rice lines. A HTS system equipped with this hyper-spectral reflectance system may play an important role of future rice breeding program.

      • The prevalence of Mullerian anomalies and related risk of miscarriage, preterm births and endometriosis: Single center experience

        Objective: Congenital malformations of female genital tract have been associated with an increased rate of miscarriage, preterm delivery, poor obstetric outcome and risk of endometriosis. The aims of this study were to evaluate the prevalence of each type of congenital malformation and association of obstetric outcomes and endometriosis. Methods: All cases of congenital malformations of female genital tract were enrolled from January 2008 to April 2019 in Dongsan medical center. The prevalence of miscarriage, preterm birth and endometriosis in each types of anomalies were evaluated. Results: Three hundred five women were enrolled including MRKH (18 cases), unicornuate uterus (15 cases), bicornuate uterus (98 cases), uterine didelphys (73 cases), septate uterus (69 cases), transverse vaginal septum (6 cases), and imperforate hymen (26 cases). Common complaints were dysmenorrhea, infertility, amenorrhea, and miscarriage. Women complained of dysmenorrhea were diagnosed in the early age. Among 261 women performed laparoscopy, 74 women had endometriosis (28.3%). It was most prevalent in women with unicornuate uterus (66.7%), and also common in case of obstruction such as rudimentary horn and vaginal septum. In the 82 pregnant women, only 18 women had full-term birth. Miscarriage (34.1%) and preterm birth (43.9%) were happened regardless of the type of mullerian anomalies. Conclusion: Congenital malformations of female genital tract were related with the risk of miscarriage rate, preterm birth and endometriosis. Accurate diagnosis and meticulous management of congenital anomalies still remains a clinical challenge to prevent serious consequences of these patients.

      • Leaf temperature response of soybean (Glycine max) to saline stress

        This study was conducted to investigate plant body temperature response of soybean (Glycine max) to saline stress. Two-weeks-old seedlings of soybean in V1 growth stage were treated with 0, 10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 mM of NaCl for salt stress. Thermal images acquired using Flir T-420 (US) were obtained at 4 days after treatment. Soybean leaf temperature increased with increasing NaCl concentration, resulting in significant positive correlation between soybean leaf temperature and stress intensity (P < 0.01). Leaf temperature of soybean was significantly different at 160 mM of NaCl, where no visual symptom was observed. Therefore, soybean leaf temperature can be used for evaluating the response of soybean to salt stress as a non-destructive and phenomic parameter. Non-destructive diagnosis of soybean leaf temperature may be a key parameter in a high throughput screening (HTS) system in breeding program for salt stress tolerance soybean cultivars.

        전산유체역학 기법을 이용한 촉매 멤브레인 반응기 해석

        본 연구에서는 수성가스전환 고정층 촉매 멤브레인 반응기를 CFD(computational fluid dynamics)기술을 이용하여 해석했다. 수성가스전환반응에 대한 반응 속도식을 조사하고, 이를 모사할 수 있는 촉매 반응기 모델을 만들어 모사했으며 문헌치와 비교했다. 그리고 이에 합당한 반응속도식을 선정하고, 이를 이용하여 반응최적온도가 630 K임을 알아냈다. 수소 선택적 투과 멤브레인에 대한 CFD 모사 모듈을 개발하여 촉매 멤브레인 반응기에 대해 모사하고 문헌치와 비교, 분석했다. 멤브레인의 투과속도를 변화시켜 반응 전화율에 영향을 주는 변수들인 온도, 압력, 투과측 이송가스(sweep gas) 유속 및 흐름 방향, 멤브레인 두께를 가변시켜 해석했다. Results of the analysis of a catalytic membrane reactor for the water gas shift (WGS) reaction are presented and discussed using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) technique. Reaction kinetic expressions were researched, and Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic's expression gives the best result. The optimal operation temperature was found out to be 630K. A CFD module for the palladium (Pd) membrane, separating hydrogen, was also developed, simulated and compared to the references. It easily simulates the effects of the reaction temperature, pressure, sweep gas flow rate, sweep gas flow direction and palladium membrane thickness on the CO conversion of the catalytic membrane reactor. Results of the analysis are very useful in the commercialization of the hydrogen-generation process, and the developed simulation framework is easily adaptable for further design and modification when more detailed profiles are necessary.

        국민 소득이 늘어나고 건강에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 한약재에 대한 수요가 증가하게 되고 WTO체제의 출범과 함께 선진각국의 유전자원 확보전이 치열해지면서 국내에서도 약용자원식물의 분포상황 및 이들 유전자원 식물의 보전이 중요한 과제로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 전북지방의 약초자원식물의 분포상황 및 이들 유전자원식물의 보전이 중요한 과제로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 전북지방의 약초자원식물의 분포현황을 조사하여 그에 대한 보전대책 수립 및 연구의 기초자료를 얻고자 수행한 본연구의 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 전북지방에 분포하는 약용 자원식물의 목록을 작성한 결과 총 40목 129과에 걸쳐 762종류의 식물이 정리되었다. 2. 이들 분포식물중 항암효과가 보고된 약용식물은 36과 74종류였다. 3. 지역적으로는 덕유산지역에 가장 다양한 식물이 반포하고 다음으로는 남원, 변산반도, 모악산, 무주군, 완주고산, 내장산, 장안산, 선운산, 비안도, 적상산 등의 순으로 나타났다. 4. 식물군별로는 쌍자엽식물강의 이판화군과 합판화군이 가장 다양하였고, 각 목별 과(科) 수는 통화식물목이 10개 과로서 가장 많았으며, 각 목별 종류 수에 있어서는 장미목이 99종으로 가장 많았고, 초롱꽃목(77종), 통화식물목(67종), 백합목(53종), 미나리아재비목(43종), 산형화목(39종) 등이 비교적 많은 종들을 포함하는 것으로 분석되었다. 5. 각 과별 종수 분석에서는 국화과가 70종으로 가장 많았고, 장미과(46종), 콩과(40종), 백합과(40종)등으로 나타나 이들 4개과의 합계 종수가 196종류로서 전체의 25.72%를 차지하였다. 그 다음으로 산형과(27종), 미나리아재비과(26종), 꿀풀과(25종), 벼과(22종), 마디풀과(19종), 현삼과(15종), 석죽과(12종), 제비꽃과(11종), 난초과(11종) 등이 비교적 많은 종수를 가지는 과(科)들이었다. With the improving of the people's standard of life and the heightening of the concerns of health, the demands of medicinal plants are more rapidly increase. Also, with the inauguration of World Trade Organization, and acceleration of openness in domestic markets, the procurement competitions of gene pools in medicinal plants are more intense among the countries. With these trends of the world, an acute subjects are coming up for us such as distribution status quo and preservation of medicinal plants in domestic area. Therefore this paper surveyed the distribution status quo of medicinal plants in Chonbuk province, arranged the catalogue and analyzed the data by plants and regions. The major results are as follows; 1. The total amounts of 762 species, 129 families, 40 orders of medicinal plants distributed in Chonbuk province. 2. The number of medicinal plants which are assumed to contain antineoplastic agents totals 36 families and 74 species. 3. In distribution of medicinal plants by region, the most diverse flora showed in Mt. Dukyoo followed by circumferences of Namwon, Byun-san, Mt. Moak, Muju, Dosan, Mt. Naejang, Mt. Jangan, Mt. Seon-woon, Beeando island and Mt. Juksang etc. in Chonbuk province.

      • 全北地方의 藥用作物 재배 및 生産現況

        본격적인 지방화 시대를 맞이하면서 지역특화작물의 개발과 농가소득증대를 위한 새로운 기술개발이 절실한 이때 주요 소득원작물의 하나인 약용작물의 재배 및 생산현황을 파악하여 지역특성에 맞는 새로운 작목개발 및 정책 입안 자료로 활용하고자 조사분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 생산량을 기준으로한 전북지방의 주요 약용작물을 특화계수 분석결과 총 31개작목 중 독활, 백지, 양유, 오미자, 지황 등은 핵심품목으로 길경, 두층, 방풍, 작약, 천마 등은 주산품목으로 조사되었으며 강활 등 21개 작목은 비특화 작물로 분석되었다. 재배면적을 기준으로 한결과는 독활, 백지, 양유, 지황 등이 핵심품목으로 길경, 두층, 목단, 방풍, 백출, 오미자, 의이인, 작약 등은 주산품목으로 강활 등 19개 품목은 비특화 작물로 분석되었다. 2. 주요 약용작물 재배 계획면적 조사에서는 당귀, 두층, 오미자, 독활, 천궁 등이 계획 대비 실제 재배면적의 차이가 큰 작목으로서 이들은 일반적으로 상품가격의 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 3. '96 재배면적 조사 결과 전북지방의 주요 약용작물 재배 계획 면적은 총 1,692.7ha였으며 이중 독활이 426ha로 가장 많았고, 길경(283ha), 양유(179ha), 작약(165ha), 두층(154ha), 당귀(113ha), 오미자 의이인, 지황, 산수유, 천궁, 방풍 등의 순이었으며 기타작목으로 백지, 황기, 백하수오 등 28작목이 조사되었다. With the beginning of the new localization era, epoch-making techniques in local agriculture are needed to improve farm income and devlop a locally specialized crops. On the basis of these trends in local agriculture, the status quo of production in medicinal plants which are one of the major income crops were surveyed and analyzed the data for developing a new crops and drafting a policy. The major results are as follows; 1. The results analyzed by Location Quotient of production rate in Chonbuk were classified three catagories. 5 items including Aralia continentalis K_ITAGAWA among 31 items were so rted out as a core crops, another 5 items including Platycodon grandiflotum(J_ACQ.) A.DC. were as a main crops and other 21 items were as a non-specialized crops. Analyzed by cultivation area, 4 items were sorted out as a core crops, another 8 items were as a main crops and the other 19 items were as a non-specialized crops. 2. In comparison with the gap between intended cultivation area and real cultivation area, 5 items including Eucommia ulmoides OLIVER were showed more larger than the others. The above mentioned items were assumed to be more influenced by the price. 3. Farmer's intended cultivation areas of the major medidinal plants in 1996 were surveyed totals of 1.692 ha in Chonbuk. Among them, Aralia corolata was surveyed as the top totals of 426 ha. in area.

        중국인의 한국화장품 인식과 재 구매 의도 및 마케팅의 영향 관계

        Korean Wave in China because the cosmetics market has become highly competitive in their businesses and cosmetics brands to emerging rapidly and has a psychological pursuit of material affluence in China, young women and youth is an important premise of the new consumption trend. Chinese women``s consumption propensity to focus on their trappings are expected to rise further raised the need for a study on the future of the Chinese Korea cosmetics consumption. This study purpose is to provide the necessary information and data to identify and promote academic development and product sales on the impact of future relations between South Korea``s cosmetics market to learn about Korea cosmetics awareness and purchase intent, and re-marketing of Chinese each variable there.Korea experienced cosmetic use results analysis through surveys targeting the Chinese in the District Court, South Korea cosmetics awareness, repurchase intention, was to know that marketing is to influence each other, re-purchase price of the product meets the essential aspects that was found. In addition, the factors that most influence the design to consumers, namely, first appeared in part be seen as a marketing strategy for the development of Korea``s cosmetics is considered necessary strategies to stimulate the visual part of Chinese consumers. On the other hand, seems to be connected to increase the probability of re-purchasing customer satisfaction factors appear to be greater in the factors affecting the marketing through a variety of marketing strategies to meet the more consumer products. When you build a marketing strategy for the promotion of Korea cosmetics, if approached from a consumer``s perspective, taking into account the price and design, marketing effectiveness, the fodder will be able to establish a more systematic and innovative strategies. This study is a study by the present Chinese consumers purchasing cosmetics Korea, to achieve the development and revenue growth of Korea``s cosmetics market through which we hope can be helpful.
