The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of supplementary treatment on physical activity factors during the hospital stay of cancer patients. We surveyed the 168 patients who were admitted cancer patients aged 20 years or older in Kyunggi area. The adjunctive treatment of cancer patients was divided into chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy - radiation therapy. Results of this study are as follows: First, the results of analysis of the perception of exercise according to the supplementary treatment showed that the chemotherapy was higher in the emotional attitude than the group of the radiation therapy and chemotherapy - radiation therapy. Second, Physical limitations are more restricted in patients with concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and more limited in cognitive psychotherapy chemotherapy. Third, there were significant differences in the program with environmental constraints. Especially, it was confirmed that the program had limitations in patients with chemotherapy - radiation therapy. In addition, there was no significant difference between the adjunctive treatment modalities. 본 연구는 암환자의 입원기간 중의 보조적 치료가 신체활동 요인에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 경기지역의 20세 이상 남‧여 성인 입원 암 환자 168명을 대상으로, 운동인식, 입원기간 중 느끼는 신체활동의 개인적 제약과 병원환경적 제약에 대하여 설문조사 하였다. 암 환자의 보조적 치료는 항암화학요법, 방사선치료, 항암화학요법- 방사선치료 병행로 구분하였다. 그 결과, 첫째, 보조적 치료에 따른 운동인식에 대한 분석결과, 항암화학요법이 방사선치료 및 항암화학요법-방사선치료를 하는 집단에 비해 정서적 태도에서 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 보조적 치료에 따른 신체활동의 개인적 제약에서는 신체적제약과 인지심리적제약에서 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 신체적 제약은 항암화학요법-방사선치료를 병행하는 환자들에서 더 크게 제약을 받고 있으며, 인지심리적으로 항암화학요법에서 더 큰 제약을 받고 있는 것이 확인되었다. 셋째, 환경적 제약에서는 프로그램에서 유의한 차이를 나타나게 되었는데, 특히 항암화학요법-방사선치료 환자에서 프로그램에 대한 제약을 많이 받고 있음이 확인 되었다. 또한 보조적 치료 방법 간의 유의한 차이가 나타나지는 않았으나, 항암화학요법이나 방사선치료 하나의 방법으로 치료는 받는 환자보다 항암화학요법-방사선치료의 병행 치료환자에서 신체활동에 대한 환경적 제약을 더 많이 받고 있다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

This paper designs a electromagnetic-log (EM-Log) aided navigation filter for maritime environment without global navigation satellite system (GNSS). When navigation is performed for a long time, Inertial navigation system (INS)’s error gradually diverges. Therefore, an integrated navigation method is used to solve this problem. EM-Log sensor measures the velocity of the vehicle. However, since the measured velocity from EM-Log contains the speed of the sea current, the aided navigation filter is required to estimate the sea current. This paper proposes a single model filter and interacting multiple (IMM) model filter methods to estimate the sea current and analyzes the influence of the sea current model on the filter. The performance of the designed aided navigation filter is verified using a simulation and the improvement rate of the filter compared to the pure navigation is analyzed. The performance of single model filter is improved when the sea current model is correct. However, when the sea current model is incorrect, the performance decreases. On the other hands, IMM model filter methods show the stable performance compared to the single model. 본 논문에서는 GNSS (global navigation satellite system)이 가용하지 않는 상황에서 시간이 지남에 따라 오차가 누적되는 특성을 가진 관성항법장치(inertial navigation system)의 항법 오차를 보상하기 위한 EM-Log (electromagnetic-log) 보정항법 필터를 설계하였다. EM-Log는 해상에서 운동체의 이동 속도를 측정하여 속도 오차를 보정하여 주나 측정된 속도에는 해조류가 포함되어 있기 때문에 적절한 해조류 모델 설계와 추정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 해조류 추정을 위해 단일 모델 필터와 IMM (interacting multiple model) 모델 필터 방법론을 제시하고 설계된 필터의 해조류 추정 성능을 확인한 후 해조류 모델 설계가 필터 성능에 어떤 영향을 주는지 분석하였다. 설계된 보정항법 필터의 성능은 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 검증하고 순수항법 대비 필터 성능 향상률을 비교 분석하였다. 단일 모델 필터는 해조류 모델이 동일한 경우 성능이 좋지만 해조류 모델이 동일하지 않을 경우 성능이 저하되는 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 반면, IMM 모델 필터의 경우 다양한 해조류 모델을 사용하기 때문에 단일 모델 필터 대비 안정적인 성능을 유지하는 것을 확인하였다.

Purpose: The authors describe a rare case of bilateral central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) associated with Waldenström macroglobulinemia (WM). Case summary: A 60-year-old man presented with headache and a decrease in visual acuity in the right eye for 1 year. Ocular examinations showed scattered intraretinal hemorrhages, central venous dilatation, increased vessel tortuosity, macular edema, and peripheral nonperfusion bilaterally. The patient was referred to the internal medicine department for suspected systemic disease and diagnosed with WM. Conclusions: We report a case of bilateral CRVO with WM in a patient who developed refractory macular edema and who had a slight decrease vessel tortuosity and macular edema after systemic chemotherapy.

Equine influenza (EI) is the main cause of respiratory illness in equines across the globe and is caused by equine influenza A virus (EIV-A), which has impacted the equine industry internationally because of the marginal mortality and high morbidity. In the present study, the immune responses after equine influenza vaccination were evaluated in 4,144 horses in Korea using the hemagglutination inhibition (HI) assay. The equine influenza virus (EIV), A/equine/South Africa/4/03 (H3N8), was used as the antigen in the HI assay. The mean seropositive rates were 89.2% (97.4% in 2016, 77.6% in 2017, and 92.4% in 2018). This paper highlights the advances in understanding the effects of vaccines and control strategies for mitigating the emerging menace by EIV.

This research focused on Road Bike synchronized with the virtual reality software. To clarify the effectiveness of exercise using a indoor Road Bike synchronized with the virtual reality software in this research, the changes of stress index were observed between synchronized status of Road Bike hardware and virtual reality software and not synchronized status. The virtual reality Road Bike which is synchronized with 3D virtual reality environment and mechanically works the same way with real bike allows a users not only to increase the effectiveness of exercise but also to reduce significantly the boredom compare to traditional indoor bike. The prototype of virtual realty Road Bike has been completed, detailed research will be conducted in the future to increase a user‘s safety and provide a more similar experience with real Road Bike for adapting various industry fields especially in the game industry.
