Lectin-conjugated praecoxin A, which has developed as a missile antitumor drug, is the one that has conjugated with wheat germ agglutinin (WGA), a kind of carbohydrate- binding protein (lectin) especially bound to melanoma. Praecoxin A is a kind of tannin extracted and purified from plants. Beside this direct antitumor effect as tannins, we have examined an activation of macrophage by lectin-conjugated praecoxin A. We also confirmed the gene expression of IL-1β, both in vitro and in vivo. We added 1,10,100μg/ml of lectin-conjugated praecoxin A, 10μg/ml of pectin,10μg/ml of praecoxin A to normal murine macrophage and analyzed the extracted total RNAs by RT- PCR after 4,8, 12,24 hours. Our data demonstrated that pectin-conjugated praecoxin A increased IL-1β, mRNA expression in a dose dependent manner. However, the effectiveness of lectin-conjugated praecoxln A was not superior to pectin and praecoxin A.

In this study, we developed a comprehensive correlation for better prediction of the activated sludge concentration in the relationship between measurement of optical density by the Beer’s law and sludge properties. Effects of activated sludge properties, which are sludge types and anaerobic storage time, show that absorbance deviation for sludge properties decreased on wavelength of light source near to 950 nm. We also developed a method to measure limitation with non-linear correlation on the measurement of high concentration by the Beer’s law using a double layer probe cell and empirical equations.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the credibility of soccer leaders in terms of the types of leadership and the achievement of the team. In order to do so. soccer players that currently registered with the Korea Football Association as of 2012 have been selected as the population group. 350 soccer players from five highschool soccer teams and five university soccer teams (a total of 314 final valid sample surveys) were chosen as study subjects. Such data were subject to frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis correlation analysis, and simple and multiple regression analysis. The conclusion obtained through the above study method and the results of analyzing the data are as follows. First, the sub factors in relation to leadership types that affected credibility were servant leadership and transformational leadership. Second, among the sub factors in relation to team achievement, the sub factor in relationship types that affected game results were servant leadership, transformational leadership and transactional leadership(-). The sub factors in relation to leadership types that affected game performance were transformational leadership and transactional leadership(-). The sub factors in relation to leadership types that affected the development of team work were servant leadership and transformational leadership. The sub factor in relation to leadership types that affected workout performance results was servant leadership. Third, credibility had a positive effect on all of the sub factors in relation to team achievement, game results, game performance, development of team work and workout performance results.

Aluminized steel sheet that Al coated on low carbon steel has a excellent heat resistance, thermal reflection and corrosion resistance. It has applied to fuel tank, automotive exhaust systems, etc. Laser weldability of the aluminized steel for the full penetration welding will be described in this paper. We focused on the effect of Al coating conditions on weld strength. For these objectives, aluminized steel sheets that has various thickness and coating weight were prepared for laser welding. And then, tensile-shear and hardness test were carried out. At that same time, Al content mixed in weld after laser welding was evaluated and investigated a correlation between the mixed Al and mechanical properties. Besides, as removing partially coating layer, weldability has been investigated according to position of coating layer. As a result of this study, as increasing Al content in weld, tensile-shear strength was decreased. Also it was identified that Al of coating layer caused grain growth.

An investigation is reported on the coating of ZnS:Cu,Cl phosphors by $HfO_2$ using atomic layer deposition method. Hafnium oxide films were prepared at the chamber temperature of $280^{\circ}C$ using $Hf[N(CH_3)_2]_4\;and\;O_2$ as precursors and reactant gas, respectively. XPS and ICP-MS analysis showed the surface composition of coated phosphor powder was hafnium oxide. In FE-SEM analysis, the surface morphology of uncoated phosphors became smoother and clearer as the number of ALD cycle increased from 900 to 1800. The photoluminescence intensity for coated phosphors showed $7.3{\sim}13.4%$ higher than that of uncoated. The effect means that the reactive surface is uniformly coated with stable hafnium oxide to reduce the dead surface layer without change of bulk properties and also its absorptance is almost negligible due to ultrathin(nano-scaled) films. The growth rate is about $1.1{\AA}/cycle$.
들깻잎과 생산환경에서 분리한 Bacillus cereus의 독소 유전자와 항생제 감수성 분석

본 연구는 들깻잎과 들깻잎 생산환경을 대상으로 276개의 시료를 채취하여 B. cereus를 분리 하였다. 분리된 B. cereus 200주의 toxicity를 평가하고자 독소유전자와 항생제내성을 검색하였다. 그 결과 분리된 균주에서 11개의 서로 다른 독소유전자 패턴은 확인하였으며 5개의 설사형독소와 구토형 독소를 모두 생성할 수 있는 균주는 21%였다. 가장 빈번하게 검출되는 독소유전자는 nheA(100%), enFM(100%), hblA, C, D(66.5%)였으며 EM은 가장 낮은 빈도(21.0%)로 검출되었다. 항생제 내성평가결과 분리된 대부분의 B. cereus는 18종의 항생제 중 10개의 항생제에 대해서는 감수성이었으나 β-lactam계 항생제인 penicillin(100%), ampicillin(100%), oxacillin(94.9%), amoxicillin-clavulanic acid(95.6%), cefazolin(78.2%)과 비β-lactam계 항생제 rifampicin(58.0%)에 대해서 저항성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 들깻잎과 들깻잎 생산환경에서 분리된 B. cereus의 독소유전자와 항생제내성 패턴은 서로 유사하였다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 들깻잎에 오염된 B. cereus에 의하여 설사형 뿐만 아니라 구토형 식중독이 발생할 가능성을 시사하며 들깻잎과 생산환경에서 항생제 저항성 B. cereus가 검출되어 의약계뿐만 아니라 농업현장에서도 항생제내성균주 출현을 예방하는 대책이 요구된다. Two-hundred Bacillus cereus isolated from perilla leaf cultivation areas in Miryang, Korea were investigated for toxin genes and antibiotic susceptibility. Toxigenic patterns of isolates were identified to be 11 groups through toxin gene profiles. 21% of strains isolated from the perilla leaves had both enterotoxin and emetic toxin. Toxin genes entFM (100%), nheA (100%) and hblA, C, D (65.5%) were frequently found in the perilla leaves, whereas EM (21.0%) was less common. Most isolates were susceptible to 10 antibiotics, but they were highly resistant to penicillin (100%), ampicillin (100%), oxacillin (94.9%), amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (95.6%), cefazolin (78.2%), and rifampicin (58.0%). These results indicate that food-borne outbreak caused by B. cereus might lead to diarrhea and emetic syndromes.
