        뇌혈관질환 후 실어증의 한의학적 치료에 대한 국내 임상연구에 대한 고찰

        Objectives: The aim of this review is to investigate clinical studies on Oriental medicine treatment for aphasia after cerebrovascular disease. Methods: Using the keywords ‘Aphasia', ‘Oriental medicine', ‘Stroke' ‘Cerebral infarction', ‘Cerebral hemorrhage', and ‘Clinic', we searched domestic databases, including “NDSL (National Discovery for Science Leaders)", “Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal", “OASIS (Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System)", and “RISS (Research Information Sharing Service)". Each keyword was not searched individually, but combined in various ways. To investigate recent trends, we limited our search to papers published after 2000. Papers that did not include a specific treatment method or did not match the subject “Aphasia after stroke" were excluded. Results: Using the searching method, 13 studies were found. Of these, 12 studies were in the form of case reports, while one was in the form of a non-randomized controlled trial. These studies showed positive results for the use of Oriental medicine in terms of the Korean version of the Western Aphasia Battery (K-WAB), the evaluation form on functional performance capability and accuracy of articulatory organs developed by Lee, aphasia screening test refered in ‘Assessment in Speech-Language Pathology' and adapted properly to Korean, the Communicative Ability in Daily Living Test (CADLT), the Korean Version-Boston Naming Test (K-BNT), and language assessment items included in CNS, and NIHSS. Conclusions: Of the 12 case reports, 11 studies showed positive results of the use of Oriental medicine for treatment of aphasia after cerebrovascular disease. However, more sophisticated and large-scale clinical research on aphasia should be conducted.

        Intra-articular Xenotransplantation of Adipose-Derived Stromal Cells to Treat Osteoarthritis in a Goat Model

        Adipose-derived stromal cells (ASCs) have been investigated as a cell source for tissue regeneration. The purpose of this study was first to confirm if medial meniscectomy induces osteoarthritis (OA) in goats within a relative short period of time, and more importantly, to investigate if systemic treatment with immunosuppressive drugs is necessary in intra-articular ASC xenotransplantation for successful regeneration of articular cartilage and prevention of joint inflammation. Eight Korean native black goats 1–2 years of age underwent medial meniscectomy. To evaluate the gross and histological appearance of articular cartilage, knee joints were re-exposed by a medial parapatellar incision at 8 weeks. After macroscopic scoring of gross appearance, cartilage biopsy specimens 6 mm in diameter were obtained from the femoral condyle in four goats. The goats were injected with single intra-articular dose of 79106 human ASCs (hASCs) 7 days after the second arthrotomy. Four animals were treated with daily injections of cyclosporin A 10 mg/kg for 7 days, followed by a reduced dose of 5 mg/kg for another 7 days, while other 4 animals did not receive immunosuppressive therapy. All animals were sacrificed for analysis 8 weeks after injection of hASCs. OA was successfully induced 8 weeks after medial meniscectomy. Eight weeks after injection of hASCs, various signs of articular cartilage regeneration were observed. There were no significant macroscopic and histological differences between goats treated with cyclosporine and untreated goats. Interleukin-1ß and tumor necrosis factor-a level from synovial fluid did not differ between cyclosporinetreated and untreated goats. The results indicate that immunosuppressive therapy did not influence the result of ASC xenotransplantation to treat OA.

        황사 발생 기간 낙하먼지에 포함된 미생물의 분포 및 특성

        Asian dust storms originating in the arid desert of China and Mongolia usually occur from late winter through spring, and more than one million tons of dust per year is transported to the Korean Peninsula by the prevalent westerly winds. We supposed that these dust particles could include bioaerosols and act as carriers of microorganisms. In order to clarify the dynamics of microorganisms moving with these particles, the concentration and composition of microorganisms associated with settled particles were compared between samples collected during Asian dust events and those under non-dust periods. From February to April 2008, settled dust particles were collected at one location in Ulsan using rainfall meter of 200 mm diameter. During this period, there was one Asian dust event in Ulsan. The bacterial concentrations were higher in samples collected during Asian dust event than those under non-dust period, whereas fungal concentrations were rather similar regardless of the Asian dust event. We analyzed 16S rRNA gene sequences of 45 bacterial isolates obtained from the settled particle samples. These isolates belonged to either genus Bacillus or genus Streptococcus and were tentatively identified as B. amyloliquefaciens, B. aryabhattai, B. atrophaeus, B. licheniformis, B. megaterium, B. methylotrophicus, B. pumilus, B. sonorensis, B. subtlis, B. vallismortis, S. epidermidis, and S. succinus. In cases of fungal isolates, genera such as Mucor, Alternaria, Cladosporium, and Aspergillus were tentatively identified from samples collected at both Asian dust and non-Asian dust periods. It appears that endospore-forming bacteria such as Bacillus sp. rather than fungal spores are more likely to be associated with Asian dust particles. 황사는 중국과 몽골의 사막지역과 중국 황하 중 상류의 황토지대에서 바람에 의해 대기 중에 부유한 미세먼지가 상층 바람을 타고 멀리까지 날아가는 기상 현상을 말한다. 황사 먼지는 bioaerosol을 포함하며 미생물의 운반체로 작용할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 황사 발생 기간과 황사가 없는 기간 동안 각각 포집한 낙하먼지에서 미생물의 농도와 종 조성을 비교하고자 하였다. 2008년 2월부터 4월까지 울산 지역의 한 지점에서 직경 200 mm의 강수량계를 사용하여 낙하먼지를 포집하였으며, 조사 기간 동안 울산 지역에서 황사 현상은 3월 2일과 3일에 걸쳐 한번 발생하였다. 낙하먼지에 포함된 세균의 농도는, 황사 기간 동안 포집한 시료에서 황사가 없는 기간의 시료에 비해 크게 높았다. 하지만, 낙하먼지의 진균 농도는 비 황사 기간에 비해 황사 기간 동안 유의성 있게 증가하지 않았으며, 조사 기간 동안 세균에 비해 상대적으로 일정한 수준을 유지하였다. 낙하먼지 시료로부터 분리한 45개 세균의 16S rRNA 유전자 염기 서열을 분석하였으며, 이들 세균은 Bacillus 속의 B. amyloliquefaciens, B. aryabhattai, B. atrophaeus, B. licheniformis, B. megaterium, B. methylotrophicus, B. pumilus, B. sonorensis, B. subtlis, B. vallismortis와 Staphylococcus 속의 S. epidermidis, S. succinus로 확인되었다. 진균의 경우 Mucor 속, Alternaria 속, Cladosporium 속, Aspergillus 속 등을 황사 기간 및 비 황사 기간의 시료에서 모두 확인할 수 있었다. Bacillus 속과 같은 내생포자를 형성하는 세균이 진균(포자)에 비해 황사 먼지에의 부착 및 이동과 더 연관이 있는 것으로 보인다.

        학교건물에서 태양광에너지 활용의 실태조사 및 외관 디자인 활용요인 분석

        기후위기에대한대응문제는전인류의생존을위한공통과제라할수 있다. 2020년 7월 정부는 디지털과 친환경, 그리고 저탄소를 두 축으로 한 국판 뉴딜정책을 발표하였다. 같은 해 12월 2050 탄소 중립을 선언하며 신 재생에너지를 중심으로, 국민 대전환의 기틀을 다지고 기후 선도국으로 도 약하기 위한 사업을 실천하고 있다. 태양광 에너지는 신재생 에너지의 핵심 이며 국토가 협소하고 건물 밀집도가 높은 국내 환경에 적합한 건물 일체 형 태양광 시스템(BIPV)은 공공시설물의 외벽과 창호를 중심으로 빠르게 보급되고 있다. 공공시설물 중 학교를 중심으로 한 교육시설물은 이용 대상 및 목적 특수성을 지니며, 심미성과 디자인을 중시하는 건물특성을 지니고 있어 일반 태양광 모듈을 적용하는 데 한계가 있다. 에너지 생산과 함께 교 육목적의 기능이 가능한 BIPV를 중심으로 국내외 우수한 디자인 사례분석 을 통해 국내 학교건물 특성에 적합하며 조형성과 기능성이 뛰어난 학교건 물의 태양광 시설 디자인을 위한 시사점을 도출하여 신축 및 리모델링 등 에 활용 가능한 근거를 마련하고자 한다.

        월경통의 한의학적 치료에 대한 국내 임상 연구 경향: 체계적 문헌 고찰

        Objective: The aim of this review was to investigate clinical studies on Korean medical treatments for dysmenorrhea. Method: Using the keywords “dysmenorrhea,” “Korean medical treatment,” “acupuncture,” and “herbal medicine,” searches were conducted using domestic databases, including the National Discovery for Science Leaders (NDSL), the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), and the Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS). The keywords were combined in various ways, instead of being searched individually. Papers that did not cover clinical studies or were not matched with the subject, absent of the abstract and text, were excluded. Results: Using the above searching method, 20 studies were found. Of these, 15 were in the form of case reports and five were in the form of randomized controlled trials. Acupuncture, herb medicine, pharmacopuncture, moxibustion, and cupping were used as treatments for dysmenorrhea. All of these studies reported that the Korean medical treatment was effective. Conclusion: According to the results, Korean medical treatments can provide an effective treatment for dysmenorrhea. However, more clinical studies on dysmenorrhea should be conducted for further clinical applications.

        응급실 손상환자 심층조사 자료를 이용한 2017-2018년 중독 환자의 분석

        Purpose: The annual statistics for poisoning are reported based on the data from poison control centers in many advanced countries. In 2016 a study was conducted to analyze the 2016 Korea Poisoning status. This study was conducted to make a better annual report for poisoning statistics in Korea from a 2017-2018 national representative database. Methods: This study was a retrospective analysis of poisoning patients based on the data from an emergency department (ED) based injury in-depth surveillance project by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2017-2018. Bite or sting injuries were not included. Results: A total of 17714 patients presented to 23 EDs because of poisoning. Adults above 20 years old age accounted for 84.6% of the population, while the proportion of intentional poisoning was 60.8%. The poisoning substance presented in the ED were therapeutic drugs (51.2%), gas (20.3%), pesticides (16.4%), and artificial substances (11.4%). Overall, 35% of patients were admitted for further treatment. The mortality was 2.4% (422 cases), and the most common fatal substances in order were carbon monoxide, other herbicides, and paraquat. Conclusion: This study showed the 2017-2018 status of poisoning in Korea. The prognosis is different from the cause of poisoning and the initial mental state of the patient. Therefore, appropriate methods for preventing poisoning and therapeutic plans in specific situations are needed.

        하수처리시설에서 배양 가능한 공기중 미생물의 분포 및 특성

        하수처리시설에서 발생하는 공기중 미생물은 작업자 및 주민에게 건강상 위해의 요인이 될 수 있다. 이들 시설에서 공기중 세균과 진균의 농도 수준을 파악하기 위해 울산시에 위치한 위생처리장 1곳(YC-STP)과 하수처리장 3곳(YY-, OS-, HY-STP)의 포기조와 포기조 근처 지점에서 계절별로 공기중 미생물을 포집하였다. YC-STP의 공기중 세균 농도는 포기조에서 $1.3({\pm}0.2){\times}10^3-2.6({\pm}1.1){\times}10^4$ MPN/$m^3$, 포기조 근처에서 $1.7 ({\pm}1.0){\times}10^2-7.2({\pm}2.2){\times}10^3$ MPN/$m^3$로 매우 높았으며, 대장균군도 검출되었다. YY-, OS-, HY-STP의 공기중 세균 농도는 포기조에서 $1.9({\pm}1.2){\times}10^1-1.8({\pm}1.2){\times}10^4$ MPN/$m^3$, 포기조 근처에서 $5.0({\pm}2.8){\times}10^0-6.6({\pm}2.0){\times}10^3$ MPN/$m^3$의 범위였다. YC-, OS-, YY-STP에서의 공기중 세균 농도는 대조군 지점에 비해 평균값 기준으로 포기조에서는 16-1,200배, 포기조 근처에서는 9-280배 정도 더 높은 수치였으며, 포기조 근처(10 m)보다 포기조(0 m)에서 1.7-4.4배 정도 더 높았다. 공기중 세균을 분리하여 동정한 결과 하수처리시설에서는 Pseudomonas luteola, 대조군 지점에서는 Micrococcus sp.가 우점하였다. 공기중 진균의 농도는 포기조 보다 포기조 근처에서 더 높았으며 포기조 외에 다른 주요 발생원이 존재함을 시사한다. Cladosporium, Alternaria, Penicillium의 3속이 주로 검출되었다. Bioaerosols generated from wastewater treatment plants may create health risks for plant workers and nearby residents. To determine the levels of culturable airborne bacteria and fungi in bioaerosols, samples were seasonally collected above and near the aeration tanks of one feces-urine and three sewage treatment plants in Ulsan, Korea with an impaction-type sampler. In the feces-urine treatment plant, concentrations of heterotrophic bacteria were between $1.3({\pm}0.2){\times}10^3$ and $2.6({\pm}1.2){\times}10^4$ MPN/$m^3$ above the aeration tank and between $1.7({\pm}1.0){\times}10^2$ and $7.2({\pm}2.2){\times}10^3$ MPN/$m^3$ near the aeration tank. Coliform bacteria were detected both above and near the aeration tank. In cases of sewage treatment plant, the numbers of heterotrophic bacteria ranged from $1.9({\pm}1.2){\times}10^1$ to $1.8({\pm}1.2){\times}10^4$ MPN/$m^3$ above the aeration tank and from $5.0({\pm}2.8){\times}10^0$ to $6.6({\pm}2.0){\times}10^3$ MPN/$m^3$ near the aeration tank. At reference sites, the concentrations of heterotrophs in ambient air were measured between $7.0{\times}10^0$ and $2.7{\times}10^1$ MPN/$m^3$. When we isolated and tentatively identified heterotrophic bacteria, Pseudomonas luteola was the most dominant species in bioaerosols from wastewater treatment plants, whereas the most abundant one in reference samples was Micrococcus sp. When we measured fungal concentrations in bioaerosols, they were rather similar regardless of sampling locations and seasons, and such genera as Cladosporium, Alternaria, and Penicillium were commonly identified.
