In the well-known movie, "Minority Report", Tom Cruise, the main character, extracts information from the memories of prophets using LED-based hand gestures. The hand-worn glove device and the gesture interface used in the movie seemed very convincing and plausible. Motivated by the ideas of the movie, we devised and developed gesture and posture based user interface that may help people communicate with each other in collaborative visual environments. Gestures and postures have been popular research topics for hand-free interface in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) areas. However, gesture spotting (distinguishing pure gestures from garbage gestures) is not an easy process, making gesture recognition impractical. For this reason, most of the previous systems are not accurate enough to be used as a practical interface tool. To solve the gesture spotting problem, we used LED switches to turn on and off between the start and the end point of a gesture. Segmented gestures were recognized using a Hidden Markov Model (HMM) after learning processes. We also used 3-point LED postures to implement mouse click and double click interfaces in order to replace mouse functionalities.

과민역글로불린 E 증후군은 영유아기부터 반복적인 부비동, 호흡기감염 및 농양의 형성, 습진성 피부 질환 및 혈청 면역글로불린 E의 상승을 보이는 드문 질환이다. 특징적으로 농양은 발열이나 균혈증을 동반하지 않으며, 포도상구균이 흔한 원인균이며, 배농 및 항균제 정주로 효과적으로 치료된다. 향후 병태생리 및 치료에 대한 연구가 필 요하다. 저자들은 성인기에 발병한 반복적인 피하 농양 형성, 습진성 피부질환, 혈청 면역글로불린 E의 상승 등으로 과면역글포블린 E 증후군으로 진단된 증례를 국내 최초로 보고하는 바이다. Hyperimmunoglobulin E syndrome, rarely reported, is a syndrome of hyperimniunoglo-bulinemia E. eczematous skin lesion, and recurrent staphylococcal infections on respiratory system and skin with abscess formation, mostly from early in life. The abscess is not accompamed with fever and bacteremia, that is a characteristic 'cold abscess' We report a case of 56 year-old woman who manifested this syndrome from adulthood. with the review of literatures.

Objectives : This study aimed to investigate the associations between physical disorders and prevalent/incident insomnia m a community dwelling older population. Methods : 1,204 people aged 65 or over evaluated at baseline. Insomnia was defined as difficulty in initiation or maintenance of sleep on at least three nights per week over the last month. Reported physical disorders covering 11 common and generally chronic health problems were ascertained. Covariates included were age, gender, education, housing, Past occupation, current employment, and depression. Of 879 without insomnia at baseline, 651 (74%) were followed 2 years later, and incident insomnia was evaluated. Results : Prevalent insomnia was significantly associated with 10 of 11 physical disorders. Incident insomnia was associated with 2 physical disorders : eyesight problems and hearing difficulty. Both prevalent and incident insomnia were significantly associated with increased number of physical disorders. Conclusion : Certain physical disorders were comorbid and precipitating factors of insomnia in elders.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the biomechanical variables of dominant and non-dominant legs during Osoto-gari(large outer reap) in judo. Methods: In this study, six college active judo athletes who had won awards in domestic and overseas competitions for the last two years using their left foot as the main subjects were selected. The seven infrared motion capture cameras(MX-13, Vicon, UK) and a strain gage type ground reaction force measurement system(AMTI OR6-7, AMTI Inc., Watertown, MA, USA) were installed and analysis of biomechanical variables was performed by a motion analysis system(Kwon3D XP, Visol, Korea). In order to verify the difference of biomechanical variables between the dominant and non-dominant leg during Osoto-gari (large outer reap) in Judo, an independent t-test was performed using the statistical analysis program SPSS 22.0(α=.05). Results: First, the range of motion of the ankle joint showed greater flexion movement in the dominant leg than the non-dominant leg at the event 2(p<.05). Second, the range of motion of the hip joint showed greater extension movement of the dominant leg than the non-dominant leg(p<.05). Third, the peak ground reaction force showed the values of right, anterior, and vertical in which the non-dominant leg were larger than the dominant leg(p<.05). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the dominant leg can be used only by the movement of the joint during the Osoto-gari(large outer reap). But, the non-dominant leg has been shown to generate high forces in order to use the skill. Through this, it was confirmed that there was a difference in the biomechanical variables of the dominant leg and non-dominant leg during the Osoto-gari(large outer reap) in judo.

Poisoning by Phytolacca esculenta commonly occurs by misidentification as other edible plants. The root of Phytolacca esculenta is similar to other roots, such as kudzu, balloon flower, codonopsis lanceolata, and ginseng. The author experienced four cases of Phytolacca esculenta intoxication due to misidentification as a ginseng. We report on these cases with a review of the literature.
유도 밭다리후리기 기술 발휘 시 우수 선수와 비우수 선수간 생체역학적 변인 비교 분석

본 연구의 목적은 유도 밭다리후리기 기술 발휘 시 우수선수와 비우수선수간의 생체역학적 변인을 비교분석하여 과학적 기초자료를 제공하고 유도기술 발휘 향상에 기여하고자 한다. 실험대상으로는 밭다리후리기 기술을 특기로 하는 국내·외 입상한 실적이 있는 우수선수(나이 : 21.83±1.47 yrs, 신장 : 179.83±4.26 cm, 체중 : 87.58±8.79 kg)와 대학생인 비우수선수(나이 : 22.8±3.83 세, 신장 : 176.62±4.80 cm, 체중 : 79.44±2.75 kg) 각각 5명씩 실험에 참가하였다. 지면반력판 2대가 설치된 매트위에서 적외선을 이용한 3차원 모션 캡쳐 카메라 7대가 고정 설치된 영상분석 시스템에 의해 연구 목적에 적합한 동작 3회의 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 생체역학적 변인은 기술발휘 소요시간, 공격다리의 무릎 속도와 각속도, 지지발의 지면반력 등이었으며, 각 변인들을 분석하여 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 우수선수들은 비우수 집단에 비해 공격 무릎의 굴신 각속도를 얻기 위해 기울이기 구간의 시점(E1)에서 무릎관절을 신전하는 움직임을 보였다. 우수선수들은 비우수선수 집단에 비해 기술의 발휘시간이 단축되 었고, 지읏기와 걸기 구간에서 더 많은 수직 지면반력이 발생하여 기술발휘에 유효한 것으로 분석되었다. 이를 통해 우수선수와 비우수선수간의 밭다리후리기 기술 발휘 시 하지관절에 생체역학적 변인의 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the biomechanical variables between the elite and non-elite judokas(judoists) when performing osoto-gari(large outer reap) in judo. 10 male judokas of two group(5 each in elite judokas who are medalists and non-elites who are university students) whose favorite skill is osoto-gari were selected as subjects. In the osoto-gari trials with the among subject round-robin the uke(partner, defender) so as to provide resistance were 70~80% levels him-self control, and each subject performed 3 successful trials. The variables are time elapsed(TE), knee flexion of attacking leg, angular velocity of attacking leg’s knee and the ground(mat) reaction force(GMRF) of supporting-foot of tori(attacker) when performing osoto-gari, From the data analysis and discussion, the following conclusions were drawn : The elite judokas showed extension of the knee joint from flexion of hip joint in the kuzushi(balance-breaking) simultaneously event(E1) to achieve greater knee flexion angular velocity than the non-elites. It was analyzed that the elite judokas had shorter performing TE and a greater vertical GMRF of supporting-foot of Tori than the non-elites. Through this, it was confirmed that there was a difference in the biomechanical variables of the lower limb joints between the elites and non-elites when performing osoto-gari,.
