[논문]병렬 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 발전기 기동정지계획

본 논문에서는 병렬 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 발전기 기동정지계획을 제안한다. 최소 기동 및 정지 시간 등과 같은 다양한 발전기의 제약조건을 만족시키면서 발전기 기동정지계획을 수립하는 문제는 비선형적이며 많은 국부해가 존재하므로 최적해를 탐색하는데 많은 시간이 소요된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 16개 의 프로세서를 가진 병렬 시스템과 이를 이용한 병렬 유전 알고리즘을 제안하였으며, 제안한 방법의 효용성을 검토하기위해 10기 및 26기의 전력계통에 적용하여 시율레이션을 시행하였다. 시율레이션 결과 기존의 방법에 비해 탐색속도를 개선하였고 우수한 해를 구할 수 있었다.

Temperature of 618 and 1250℃ at As and Ga sities respectively in the horizontal Bridgman furnace and growht speed of 0.7cm/h were found to be optimal for the production of single crystalline GaAs. Self-seeded and unintentionally doped GaAs crystals showd n-type characteristics with Hall mobillity of ∼0.75㎡/V-sec and carrier density of ∼10^19 m^-3 when the mesurements were made right after the growth. About three month later it was found that the same samples were converted to p-type GaAs. The analysis on the p-type sample showed that impurity scattering is dominant at around room temperature and thus the measured Hall mobility was 0.0065㎡/V-sec at 300K. 7.4±0.6 eV was obtained for acoustic deformation potential in the heavy hole band by fitting the theoretical conductivity and Hall coefficient to the corresponding experimental data. The value is very much higher than the theoretically estimated value, 3.6eV. The carrier density variation with temperature obtained from the present analysis gave 0.38 and 0.17 eV respectively for the activation energies of donor and acceptor.

Experimental measurement of electrical conductivity and Hall coefficient have been made as a function of temperature on n-type five ?? alloys which had as component ratio of 0.02, 0.11, 0.21, 0.275, 0.32 respectively. Theorical calculation of electrical conductivity and Hall coefficient have been made on a three band model using the method of Fletcher and Butcher and the resulting values fitted to the experimental measured data. Where unknown parameters were energy of L₁and X₁band edge, and the compensated acceptor density. The resulting analysis show the band gap variation given by ?? and ?? at room temperature. Various scattering mechanisms are also discussed in this work.

A child abuse case of an 18 month-old baby girl with multiple fractures is reported. A comprehensive psychiatric and pediatric diagnostic work-up was carried out, and psychodynamic and family dynamic issues were presented in detail. A therapeutic intervention by pediatric-psychiatric team was attempted, but thwarted by the lack of father's cooperation. It is suggested that child abuse should be considered a major medical social problem in Korea too.
A Population-Based Genomic Study of Inherited Metabolic Diseases Detected Through Newborn Screening

<P><B>Background</B></P><P>A newborn screening (NBS) program has been utilized to detect asymptomatic newborns with inherited metabolic diseases (IMDs). There have been some bottlenecks such as false-positives and imprecision in the current NBS tests. To overcome these issues, we developed a multigene panel for IMD testing and investigated the utility of our integrated screening model in a routine NBS environment. We also evaluated the genetic epidemiologic characteristics of IMDs in a Korean population.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>In total, 269 dried blood spots with positive results from current NBS tests were collected from 120,700 consecutive newborns. We screened 97 genes related to NBS in Korea and detected IMDs, using an integrated screening model based on biochemical tests and next-generation sequencing (NGS) called NewbornSeq. Haplotype analysis was conducted to detect founder effects.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>The overall positive rate of IMDs was 20%. We identified 10 additional newborns with preventable IMDs that would not have been detected prior to the implementation of our NGS-based platform NewbornSeq. The incidence of IMDs was approximately 1 in 2,235 births. Haplotype analysis demonstrated founder effects in p.Y138X in <I>DUOXA2</I>, p.R885Q in <I>DUOX2</I>, p.Y439C in <I>PCCB</I>, p.R285Pfs<SUP>*</SUP>2 in <I>SLC25A13</I>, and p.R224Q in <I>GALT</I>.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>Through a population-based study in the NBS environment, we highlight the screening and epidemiological implications of NGS. The integrated screening model will effectively contribute to public health by enabling faster and more accurate IMD detection through NBS. This study suggested founder mutations as an explanation for recurrent IMD-causing mutations in the Korean population.</P>

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease, which requires safe and effective treatment. In this study, we evaluated the effects of SSC201, a herbal formulation consisting of Stemonae Radix, Spirodelae Herba, and Cnidii Fructus, on the development of AD induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene in the NC/Nga murine model. Oral administration of SSC201 significantly reduced the severity of dermatitis and the tendency of mice to scratch their lesions. SSC201 significantly reduced the thickening of the epidermis/dermis and the infiltration of T cells, eosinophils, and mast cells into the dermis. These results were supported by findings of reduced numbers of $CD4^+$, $CCR3^+$, and $CD117^+Fc{\varepsilon}RI{\alpha}^+$ cells in the skin. Furthermore, SSC201 significantly decreased the number of $CD4^+$, $CD8^+$, and $CD3^+CD69^+$ T cells in lymph nodes. SSC201 not only decreased the plasma levels of immunoglobulin E (IgE) and the numbers of IgE-producing B cells ($B220^+CD23^+$), but also reduced the number of eosinophils and the levels of eotaxin as well as concentrations of thymus and activation-regulated chemokine in the periphery. Splenic levels of Th2 cytokines, including interleukin (IL)-4, IL-5, and IL-13, were reduced, whereas the levels of IL-12, a Th1 cytokine, were increased. Taken together, our data suggest that SSC201 may be an effective therapeutic agent for the treatment of AD.

Background/Aims: Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) of a superficial esophageal neoplasm (SEN) is a technically diffi cult procedure. We investigated the clinical outcomes of ESD to determine its feasibility and effectiveness for the treatment of SEN. Methods: Patients who underwent ESD for SEN between August 2005 and June 2014 were eligible for this study. The clinical features of patients and tumors, histopathologic characteristics, adverse events, results of endoscopic resection, and survival were investigated. Results: ESD was performed in 225 patients with 261 lesions, including 70 cases (26.8%) of dysplasias and 191 cases (73.2%) of squamous cell carcinomas. The median age was 65 years (range, 44 to 86), and the male to female ratio was 21.5:1. Median tumor size was 37 mm (range, 5 to 85) and median procedure time was 45 minutes (range, 9 to 160). En bloc resection was performed in 245 of 261 lesions (93.9%), with complete resection in 234 lesions (89.7%) and curative resection in 201 lesions (77.0%). Adverse events occurred in 33 cases (12.6%), including bleeding (1.5%), perforation (4.6%), and stricture (6.5%). During a median follow-up period of 35.0 months (interquartile range, 18 to 62), none of the patients showed local recurrence. The 5-year overall and disease-specific survival rates were 89.7% and 100%, respectively. Conclusions: ESD is a feasible and effective procedure for the treatment of SEN based on our 10-year experience, which showed favorable outcomes.
