The purpose of this dissertation is to reveal the aspect of Son Chang-seob’s Shin-ui-hui-jak as an autobiographical novel. Shin-ui-hui-jak has been used as a primary reference which must be dealt with in the study of Son Chang-seob’s litulature. Previous studies showed a tendency to treat the main character and the author Son Chang-seob presented in this work by the same person and extract the shape of a real artist from the main character’s abnormal personality and shocking experience. However, this study noted the writer consciousness that produced the controversial work Shin-ui-hui-jak, not like previous studies that eventually converge into psychoanalytical methodology. This study tried to purpose a new critical view under the premise that Shin-ui-hui-jak is also a fiction just like other stories. Shin-ui-hui-jak shows it’s character as an autobiographical novel from the introduction. If the autobiographical novel can be defined as a kind of confession, the confessional narration on the story exposes ugly and freakery shape of ego plainly which is distinct from usual confessions. The main character proves that the authority of society and system is nothing more than an illusion by his own existence as a ‘Superflous man’. He is portrayed as a person who has no will to enter the society. Son Chang-seob damages the authority of literature, literaty world and social position of writer by naming it’s character his real name. The narrator in the story plainly expose the other than self. In this process, the narrator, that is Narrating-I takes the subject of telling position which can realize and expose his ugly shape. He never be ashamed or penitent while he confesses the fault and unusualness of Narrated-I. His confession rather takes attitude of show-offish exposure, and attacks the inherent deception under the reader and social community which is presupposed to be listening the confession.

암치료에 있어서 체질과 항암효과에 관한 한의학적 연구

As one of the chemical and experimental study on cancer treatment in Korea oriental medical hospital. Furthermore, we carried out the cytotoxicity test of extracts of herbal medicine. The results are as follows : About Clinical Aspects of the Oriental Medical Cancer Treatment - (1) Clinical experience is that 420 Oriental medical hospital were surveyed. Number of cancer patient treated by one oriental medical doctor was under 10(about 60%) or from 10 to 20(about 30%). (2) Diagnostic Procedure is that more than 80% of cancer patients were diagnosed by medical doctor of western hospital. (3) Therapeutic Method is that combination of oriental and western medical treatment was used in oriental medical hospital. (4) Relationship between cancer and constitutions is that to the relationship between cancer and constitutions, about 75% responded and most were considered to be Um. About Experimental Study - to evaluate the direct cytotoxicity of hot water and methanol extracts of 34 oriental medical presciptions on stomach cancer cell, SRB assay was carried out. (1) The IC50 value of water extract of Samsoum was 19㎍/㎖ and that of methanol extract was 15㎍/㎖, so that we confirmed Samsoum has a strong direct cytotoxicity. (2) The IC50 values of water extract of Coptidis Rhizoma, methanol extract of Caesalpiniae Lignum and Draba Semen were 10㎍/㎖, 19㎍/㎖ and 12.5㎍/㎖ respectively, so that we confirmed Coptidis Rhizoma, Caesalpiniae Lignum and Draba Semen have a strong direct cytototoxicity. (3) The IC50 value of combinatory prescription of Rhei Rhizoma, Forsythie Fructus and Caesalpiniae Lignum was about 40㎍/㎖.

사업체 급식의 HACCP 제도 도입을 위한 인지도 조사

For the introduction of HACCP to industry food service, a survey was conducted from 150 dieticians and 40 managers on their recognition on HACCP system. The questionnaire of the survey included the status of current food safety management, management responsibilities, recognition on HACCP, problems in HACCP introduction. The majority of respondents was satisfied with the current food safety management, and the food service managers were more confident than dieticians in terms of food safety. Foodservice managers (100%) and dieticians (96%) recognized HACCP system; however, they responded the application of HACCP to industry food service were only 27% and 12.5%, respectively. They pointed out the reasons that they cannot introduce HACCP to their industry food service were the lack of benefits and good facilities. Dieticians strongly recognized the need of correction of food safety management in industry food service, compared with food service managers. The results suggest that the introduction of HACCP to industry food service should be accomplished by continuous education and information on food safety, improving facilities and a variety of benefits to HACCP-implemented companies from the government.

서울시내 고등학교 위탁급식의 급식비와 투자비의 실태 및 위탁업체의 기대수준 비교 분석

The purposes of this study were to a) find out the operational characteristics of the contract-managed highschool foodservice in Seoul, b) investigate the expected level of meal-price and facilities investment cost perceived by contract-managed highschool foodservice managers c) compare the present level and expected level of meal-price and facilities investment cost. From October 12 to November 13 in 2001, the questionnaires were mailed to 249 high schools which was managed by contract foodservice company with respondent rate 40.2%. Data were analyzed using SPSS Win(10.0) for descriptive analysis and one group paired t-test. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. The student enrollment of highschools run by contract-managed foodservice was 1,243 with 72.6% participation rate of school lunch program. The average meal-price was 2,138 won. The average annual period of school foodservice operation was 156.78 days per year. The average contracting period was about 3 years. 2. The average cost concerned in the facilities investment amounts 169,578,180 won at the initial investment and 25,204,092 won at the repairs and maintenance cost in the course of operation. 3. The present level of meal-price and facilities investment cost were respectively 2,136won/meal and 171,157,336.72 won. And expected level.of meal-price and amount of facilities investment cost were 2,418.75 won and 121,353,215.19 won. Comparing the present level with expected level of the meal-price and facilities investment cost, expected level of meal-price was significantly higher than the present level of meal-price(p<.001) and expected level of facilities investment cost was significantly lower than present level of facilities investment cost(p<.001).

RAW 264.7 세포에 대한 중국산 천연 광물성 섬유 TAFMAG의 독성효과

Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate cytotoxicity of TAFMAG, which is a trade name of natural mineral fiber mined and produced in China. Methods : The cytotoxicity of TAFMAG was evaluated by measuring iron content, lipid peroxidation, erythrocyte hemolysis, and cytotoxicity in vitro. These results were compared with the data of chrystotile and wollastonite as a positive and negative control, respectively. Results : There was significant increase of Fenton activity in TAFMAG and chrysotile with dose-response pattern. The iron chelating agent, desferrioxamine, significantly decreased Fenton activity of the particulates except wollastonite. TAFMAG and chrysotile fibers significantly increased malondialdehyde concentration from lipid peroxidation of the red blood cell membrane. In erythrocyte hemolysis test, TAFMAG & chrysotile had stronger effect on erythrocyte hemolysis than wollastonite with the concentration of 1,000g/ml. Furthermore, TAFMAG was more hemolytic than chrysotile with the concentration of 5,000g/ml. There was a significant cytotoxic effect in TAFMAG and chrysotile on RAW cell compared with wollastonite. Conclusions : In vitro study suggested that TAFMAG may have a similar health hazard as usual asbestos.

옥외광고(sign)의 레이아웃 구성 형태와 색상조화에 따른 차이가 수용자 기억과 상점태도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 게슈탈트 이론을 중심으로

본 연구는 최근 전국적으로 시행되고 있는 옥외간판 정비사업의 효과에 대한 커뮤니케이션 측면에서의 탐색적 연구로서 레이아웃 구성의 통일성, 색상의 조화를 중심으로 게슈탈트 법칙에서의 유사성의 원리에 따른 인지적 광고효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 현재 진행되고 있는 일관된 디자인과 배경 색채 적용을 통한 옥외간판의 구성이 실질적으로 정보적 측면에서의 옥외광고로서의 역할을 제대로 수행하지 못하고 있음을 보여주었다. 한편, 기존의 각 상점의 개성을 살린 혼잡한 레이아웃과 각기 다른 색상 적용의 사례에서 더 높은 재인점수를 보임에 따라 현재 우리나라의 간판 정비사업이 가진 지나친 통일성 강조의 문제를 직접적으로 보여주었다. 다시 말해, 이는 과도한 도시 미관에 치중된 간판 디자인을 통해 오히려 광고주의 입장에서 중요시 되어야 할 옥외간판의 정보전달 효과가 무시되고 있다는 것이다. This study examines the cognitive advertising effects focused on Gestalt Law's similarity principals to investigation of Korea's Sing board reformation. The result shown that the use of consistency design and color in signboard was actually not carried out the role of informational advertising. Then, preexistence signboard forms of confusion layout and different color shown a high score than the signboard forms of consistency layout and color harmony. Thus, the findings of this study shown that today' s signboard reformation was excessively focused to the unity. In other word, For the focusing on signboard's unity, advertiser's important things that information delivery effects was ignored.

Successful Treatment of Intractable Chylothorax with Povidone-Iodine Pleurodesis in Extremely Preterm Infant

Chylothorax is pleural collection of fluid formed by the escape of chyle from the thoracic duct or lymphatics into the thoracic cavity. In children, it frequently occurs after thoracic duct injury as a complication of cardiothoracic surgery. It can be treated with enteral feedings with a low-fat or medium-chain triglyceride, high-protein diet, and total parenteral nutrition. Somatostatin and octreotide have been used in advanced cases and surgical treatment could be considered including a pleuroperitoneal shunt, thoracic duct ligation, and pleurodesis with sclerosing agent such as tetracyclin, bleomycin, OK-432, talc, or iodopovidone. We report a case of preterm infant with 24+4 weeks of gestation who developed chylothorax after ligation of patent ductus arteriosus. The chylothorax was intractable to any medical and conservative treatments but was treated successfully by pleurodesis with 3.4% povidone-iodine without complications.

Artificial Disc Replacement Combined With Fusion Versus Two-Level Fusion in Cervical Two-Level Disc Disease

STUDY DESIGN.: A prospective analysis. OBJECTIVE.: The purpose of this study was to compare the clinical and radiologic outcomes of cervical artificial disc replacement (C-ADR) combined with anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) and 2-level ACDF in patients with 2-level cervical disc disease. SUMMARY OF BACKGROUND DATA.: Adjacent segment degeneration is a long-term complication of ACDF, and estimated to affect 25% of patients within 10 years of the initial surgery. Two-level fusion leads to a substantially greater increase in intradiscal pressure than one-level fusion. It has been demonstrated that C-ADR maintains motion at the level of the surgical procedure and decreases strain on the adjacent segments for prevention of adjacent segment degeneration. In the case of 2-level cervical disc disease, hybrid surgery (HS), consisting of C-ADR combined with ACDF, may be a reasonable alternative to 2-level ACDF (2-ACDF). METHODS.: Between 2004 and 2006, 40 patients undergoing 2-level cervical disc surgery at our hospital were identified who met the following surgical indications: 2 consecutive level degenerative disc disease between C3/4 and C6/7; either a radiculopathy or myelopathy; and no response to conservative treatment for >6 weeks. Twenty patients of the HS group were matched to 20 patients of the 2-ACDF group based on age and gender. Patients were asked to check the neck disability index (NDI) and grade their pain intensity before surgery and at routine postoperative intervals of 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 months. Dynamic flexion and extension lateral cervical radiographs were obtained in the standing position before surgery and at routine postoperative intervals of 1, 3, 6, 12, and 24 months. The angular range of motion (ROM) for C2–C7 and adjacent segments were measured using the Cobb method with PACS software. RESULTS.: The HS group had better NDI recovery 1 and 2 years after surgery (P < 0.05). Postoperative neck pain was less in the HS group 1 month and 1 year after surgery (P < 0.05). There was no difference in arm pain relief between the groups. The HS group showed faster C2–C7 ROM recovery. The mean C2–C7 ROM of the HS group recovered to that of the preoperative value, but that of the 2-ACDF group did not (P < 0.05). The inferior adjacent segment ROM showed significant differences between the groups 6 and 9 months, and 1 and 2 years after surgery (P < 0.05, P < 0.01, P < 0.05, and P < 0.05, respectively). CONCLUSION.: HS is superior to 2-ACDF in terms of better NDI recovery, less postoperative neck pain, faster C2–C7 ROM recovery, and less adjacent ROM increase.
