A deductive database consists of facts stored in the extensional database and rules representing the intensional database. Because of the difficulty of evaluating rules, many parallel evaluation algorithms for rules have been presented. This paper proposes a new paradigm to evaluate linear recursion rules which contain transitive dependency by using a mesh of processors. An evaluation of normalized rules is a computation of the proof-theoretic meaning of a collection of rules. The normalized recursion rule which contains transitive dependency is defined, the existence of an equivalent expression for the rule is proved, a paradigm using transitive closure operations for parallel evaluation of normalized rule based on the equivalent expression is proposed, and the comparative performances of the parallel evaluation algorithms are presented.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how agalmatolite-product domestic industry has grown in Ockyeon village. Through this case study, it is hoped that we can shed some light on the origin and formation process of Korean traditional handicraft industry. The primary data for the present study were collected by utilizing interview schedule. In addition, informal interviews were held to all producers. The study results can be summarized as the followings : 1) The agalmatolite-product industry in this area was originated from a village which is located 10km away from Ockyeon village, in 1930s. But one of the producers migrated to Ockyeon village in 1959. After this happened, the village had become a new center of the industry. The major reason for this relocation- diffusion was that it was much easier to acquire the material, i.e., agalmatolite, in Ockyeon village than in the original village. It is noted that the industry is material-oriented one in its nature. 2) The development of the industry can be marked by two phases : the first phase covers 1959 ~ 1969 time period, and the second phase falls into 1970 ~ 1985 time period. The first phase refers to the period when the products were made through handicraft. The second phase characterized by the use of machines in its production. During this phase, the products became more diverse, and production level increased. 3) The industry is not specialized in terms of production and merchandizing. With respect to specialization, it is also noted that about half of the producers have additional jobs.

Felodipine is a calcium antagonist that lowers blood pressure by reducing peripheral resistance by means of a direct, selective action on smooth muscle in arterial resistance vessels. Furthermore, it have been approved for the effective in angina pectoris and cardiac failure. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two felodipine extended release (ER) tablets, Splendil (YuHan Corporation) and Stapin (Hana Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). THe felodipine release from the two felodipine formulations in vitro was tested using KP Ⅷ Apparatus Ⅱ method at pH 6.5 buffer solution. Twenty six healthy male subjects, 22.73±1.78 years in age and 66.66±7.28 ㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After two tablets containing 5 ㎎ as felodipine were orally administered, blood sample was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of felodipine in serum were determined using column-switching HPLC method with UV detector. The dissolution profiles of two formulations were similar at pH 6.5 buffer solution. Besides, the pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUG_(t), C_(max) and T_(max) were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_(t) and C_(max) and untransformed T_(max). The results showed that the differences between two formulations based on the Splendil were 2.53%, 1.32% and 18.32% for AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(mzx), respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.25) (e.g., log(0.86)∼log(1.20) and long(0.89)∼long(1.23) for AUC_(t) and C_(max), respectively). Thus, the criteria of the KFDA guidelines for the bioequivalence was satisfied, indicating Stapin ER tablet and Splendil ER tablet are bioequivalent.

농구선수와 일반학생의 성격특성에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to clarify the difference of personality between college basketball players and college students, 81 college basketball players and 120 college students answered a questionnaire which is consisted of 7 indices (kindness, stability, domination, mobility, boldness, forgiveness and toughness). 1) A comparison of personality between college basketball players and college students. There is no difference in kindness, mobility and forgiveness between the two. However, in cases of stability, domination, boldness and toughness, basketball players are significantly different from college students. Thus, it can be concluded that college basketball players are more stable, bold and tough than college students. 2) A comparison of personality among positions of basketball players (guard, forward and center forward). There is no difference in mobility and stability among positions of basketball players. Guards get more scores in boldness and dominance, Forwards get more scores in toughness and Center Forwards get more scores in kindness and forgiveness.

다중 제어루프에 의한 자기부상용 DC-DC 전원장치에 관한 연구

The author present a modified multi-loop algorithm including feedforward for controlling a 55kW step down chopper in the power supply of Maglev. The control law for the duty cycle consists of three terms. The first is the feedforward term which compensates for variations in the input voltage. The second term consists of the difference between the slowly moving inductor current and output current. The third term consists of proportional and integral terms involving the perturbation in the output voltage. This perturvation is derived by subtracting the desired output voltage from the actual output voltage. The proportional and integral action stabilizes the system and minimizes output voltage error. In order to verify the validity of the proposed multi-loop controller, simulation study was tried using Matlab simulink.

환경친화적 수용성 대전방지제의 합성 및 그 응용에 관한 연구

Water soluble anti-static coating composition(AS-2001), multi-functional(anti-static and slip-stop)and anti-static functional paint coating agents were formulated. Firstly, the multi-functional coating agents were formulated with AS-2001 and slip stop(SㆍS) with water-born polyurethane. The additive of multi-functional coating agent varied from 5 to 12 wt%, depending on the amount of polyurethane used. The optimum amount of coating agent was 10 wt%, The ratio of coating composition AS-2001: SㆍS was 8:2. The surface resistance and friction factor of coated layer were 10^(9)Ω/㎠ and 0.88 in optimum condition, respectively. Secondly, the anti-static functional paint was formulated with AS-2001 and water soluble paint. The additive amounts of AS-2001 are varied from 5 to 20 wt% depending on the amount of water soluble paint. Results showed that the surface resistance of coated gypsum board decreased up to 10^(6)Ω/㎠ as the amount of coating agent increased. However, water soluble paint was aggregated in 20wt% addition of AS-2001, causing coating problems. Anti-static and anti-stain effects were excellent even though 5 wt% of AS-2001 was added in the board.

양극성 정동장애와 혈청 Inositol-1-phosphatase 활성도 변화

Objects : Several lines of possibilites have been oroposed about the etiology of bipolar attective disorder in biological, genetic and psychosocial aspect. The purpose of this study is to inspect the etiology of bipolar affective disorder in biological aspect by measuring the changes of serum inositol-1-phosphatase activity and investing a causal relationship between clinical symptoms and serum inositol-1-phosphatase activities in patients with bipolar affective disorder. Methods : The subjects were 18 inpatients who met DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for bipolar I affective disorder, manic episode and 15 normal controls. Inositol-1-phosphatase activities were measured in serum by using spectrophotometer. Clinical symptoms of patients were assessed by YMRS at admission day and after 2 weeks lithium treatment. Results : 1) Inositol-1-phosphatase activities of the patients were increased to about 2 times as compared with those of normal controls. And the activity levels were decreased gradually to the normal at 14 days. 2) Young's Mania Rating Scale(YMRS) scores were decreased significantly by lithium treatment. 3) Statistical significance could not be found between the change of YMRS scores and the levels of inositol-1-phosphatase activity. Conclusion : In this study, statistical significance could not be found between clinical improvement and inositol-1-phosphatase activities, but the fact that lithium treatment improve the clinical manifestation shown by YMRS score changes, and reverse the increased inositol-1-phosphatase activities suggests the strong association between pathophysiology of bipolar affective disorders and inositide metabolism.

비유피-4 정(염산프로피베린 20㎎)에 대한 건일염산프로피베린 정의 생물학적동등성

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two propiverine hydrochloride tablets. BUP-4 (Jeil Pharm. Co., Ltd.) and Kuhnil Propiverine Hydrochloride (Kuhnil Pharm. Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The propiverine release from the two propiverine hydrochloride formulations in vitro was tested using KP Ⅷ Apparatus Ⅱ method with a variety of dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solutions, water and blend of polysorbate 80 into pH 6.8). Twenty six healthy male subjects, 23.73 ± 2.79 years in age and 67.04 ± 7.93 kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2 x 2 cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 20 mg as propiverine hydrochloride was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of propiverine in serum were determined using HPLC method with UV detector. The dis-solution profiles of two formulations were similar at all dissolution media. Besides, the pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC" C _(max) and T _(max) were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC, C_(max), and untransformed T_(max). The results showed that the differences between two formulations based on the BUP-4 were 0.17%, 7.98% and 4.55% for AUC,, C_(max), and respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically trans-formed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.25) (e.g., log(0.88)-log(l .12) and log(0.90)-log(l.15) for AUC, and _(max), respectively). Thus, the criteria of the KFDA bioequivalence guideline were satisfied, indicating Kuhnil Propiverine Hydrochloride tablet was bioequivalent to BUP-4 tablet.
