양과 음의 유지전압에 의한 방전특성을 개선하기 위한 AC PDP의 수정된 구동 방법

In the alternating current plasma display panel, drive waveforms are applied to three electrodes, respectively, and positive voltages are alternately used for the two electrodes during the sustain period. When the driving waveforms of two electrodes are corrected in the state where one of the three electrodes is grounded for the low cost of the driving circuit, positive and negative voltages are alternately applied to only one electrode during the sustain period, and an asymmetric discharge is generated differently from the conventional case. It was observed that a strong discharge occurred when negative voltage was applied and a weak discharge occurred when positive voltage was applied. When a positive voltage is applied, the potential difference between the three electrodes is the same as in the conventional case. However, when a negative voltage is applied, the voltage also affects the write electrode, so that the discharge becomes strong. Asymmetric discharges decrease the margin and efficiency of the sustain voltage, so that a symmetrical discharge must be generated. In order to generate the symmetric discharge, we proposed a method of applying positive and negative voltage heights and slopes of the waveform differently, and obtained voltage margin and efficiency similar to the conventional one. 교류형 플라즈마 디스플레이 패널에는 세 개의 전극에 구동 파형이 각각 인가되는데 그 중 유지 기간에는 두 개의 전극에 양의 전압이 교대로 사용된다. 구동회로의 저가격을 위하여 세 전극 중에서 하나의 전극이 접지인 상태에서 두 개의 전극에서의 구동파형이 수정되었을 때, 유지기간 중에는 하나의 전극에만 양과 음의 전압이 교대로 인가되었고 종래의 경우와 다르게 비대칭 방전이 발생되었다. 강한 방전은 음의 전압을 인가하였을 때 발생하였고, 약한 방전은 양의 전압일 때 발생함이 관찰되었다. 양의 전압이 인가되는 경우는 세 전극 사이의 전위차가 종래와 같은 경우이지만, 음의 전압이 인가되는 경우에는 기입 전극에게도 전압이 영향을 주기 때문에 방전이 강해진다. 비대칭 방전은 유지 전압의 마진과 효율을 저하시키므로 대칭 방전을 발생시켜야 한다. 대칭 방전을 발생시키기 위하여 양과 음의 전압 높이와 파형의 기울기를 다르게 하는 방법을 제시하였고, 종래와 비슷한 전압 마진과 효율을 얻을 수 있었다.

As the size and complexity of network increase Distributed System Management (DSM) will be significant issue within information network in order to increase the high reliability and to improve the flexibility of network management. The OSI management model has several problems. The key problems are that it does not fully address the problem of how to develop communication protocol in support of DSM and how to classify the management connection criteria. In this paper to solve first problem described above this paper propose the connectionless CMIP to accomplish for effectively managing the distributed management managing systems to handle the dynamic informations. To work out second problem we introduce the connection criteria in the hierarchy of management system and finally evaluate the efficiency of a suggested protocol during cooperative negotiation among the managing system.
ABR과 UBR 서비스 상에서 인터넷 프로토콜: 문제점, 해결방안, 그리고 성능평가

As the proliferation of multimedia traffic over High-speed Internet increases, ATM network will be vital to adopt as backbone network over various parts of Internet. In this paper, we investigate the performance of TCP/IP traffic flow over ABR and UBR of ATM service to study for the high throughput and good fairness by simulation technique. Although TCP is run in the transport layer, it is controlled by several methods, e.g, EPD, PPD, RED, EFCI, ER etc, in ATM layer when TCP uses the ABR/UBR service. Therefore, if one cell is discarded in ATM layer, a packet of TCp will be laost. And, also, along with the increasing of the number of VC among switches, the throughput and fairness will be degraded. In order to improve these degradations, we propose the effective parameter control operations of EFCI and ER on ABR service, and also suggest the buffer management methods on UBR service. Finally, through the simulation results, the improved throughput and fairness are shown.
