저자들은 본원 산부인과 외래를 통하여 원발성무월경, 단구증, 성적소아증을 주소로 내원한, 약물투여 경험이 없는 Turner씨증후군 45,XP핵형 1례와 mosaicism(45,X/46,X,i(Xq))1례를 경험하여 이를 간단한 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. The term Turners syndrome refer to those intences of gonadal dysgenesis associated with somatic anomalies such as sexual infantilism, secondary to failure of ovarian development, short stature, webbing of the neck, cubitus valgus and others. The external genitalias are female and the uterus and the tubes are normal, although often rather small. The authers have recently experienced such these patients as gonadal dysgensesis with primary amenorrhea, sexual infantilism and whort stature than their chrocological age, and we report these cases with brief review of literatures.

저자들은 26세 임산부에서 Thanatophoric dwarfism 1례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. A case of thanatophoric dwarfism is detected by sonogram at 31 weeks of gestation. It is a congenital anomaly characterized by macrocephaly, narrow thorax, short length of vertebra, and short-limbed chondrodysplasia. We present a rare case of thanatophoric dwafim with review of literature.

Abdominal pregnancy is a rare and life threatening variant of ectopic pregnancy with high maternal mortality and perinatal mortality. The clinical characteristics of abdominal pregnancy is extremely variable, so early diagnosis is very difficult. We have experienced a case of early abdominal pregnancy diagnosed at emergency laparotomy. We report a case of early abdominal pregnancy with a review of literatures.

Protein O-phosphorylation often occurs reciprocally with O-GlcNAc modification and represents a regulatory principle for proteins. O-phosphorylation of serine by glycogen synthase kinase-3β on Snail1, a transcriptional repressor of E-cadherin and a key regulator of the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) programme, results in its proteasomal degradation. We show that by suppressing O-phosphorylation-mediated degradation, O-GlcNAc at serine112 stabilizes Snail1 and thus increases its repressor function, which in turn attenuates E-cadherin mRNA expression. Hyperglycaemic condition enhances O-GlcNAc modification and initiates EMT by transcriptional suppression of E-cadherin through Snail1. Thus, dynamic reciprocal O-phosphorylation and O-GlcNAc modification of Snail1 constitute a molecular link between cellular glucose metabolism and the control of EMT.
