Micro end-milling has been becoming an important machining process to manufacture a number of small products such as micro-devices, bio-chips, micro-patterns and so on. Despite the importance of micro end-milling, many related researches have given grand efforts to micro end-milling phenomenon, for example, micro end-milling mechanism, cutting force modeling and machinability. This paper strongly concerned actual problem, micro tool deflection, which causes excessive machining errors on the workpiece. To research this problem, we measured cutting forces in micro end-milling processes. And then we measured about cutting profile for that processes. At last we make a comparison between tool deflection due to cutting force and measurement of cutting profile.

수용성키틴/키토산의 개발과 응용

Chitin has a hard crystalline structure originated from intermolecular force with aminoacetyl group. So it is insoluble in the general organic solvent and very limited to choose the proper organic solvents. Chitosan, deactylated product of chitin, is made by heating of chitin in conc. alkalline solution. It is, however, precipitated in neutral or alkalline region. It has been studied the water soluble chitin and chitosan for application in the fields of food, cosmetic, agriculture and medicine. ZnS : DyF₃ 교류 박막 EL소자의 제작과 특성조사

EL device of which rare-earth floride DyF_3 doped in ZnS host is fabricated and measured its electric and optical characterics in our experiment. Its optical spectrum is depend on active layer and host, and the changes of the substrate te,perature during fulfilled deposition process is partcipated improving of crystallity of the active active layer. Annealing processes help removing the film distortion of active layer and improve the crystallity of internal of the grain. However, it may not affect the changes of the grain size. The enhamcement of crystallity resulted from the changes of the substrate temperature and the re-crystallization of luminance center be caused by annealing improved brightness and efficiency of EL device. Brightness of which device constructed in our experiment is 128cd/㎡ in 1KHz sinusoidal wave. And it emited whitish-yellow light which wavelength is 570㎚.

In order to understand the influence of colours on the urban design of a city, a portion of the central Chung-Ju was chosen as the study area, and three cases were researched as colours. These surveyed colours are analysed in their hue, value and chroma. It was necessary to determine the colours of 272 buildings exterior in all in order formulate the findings presented in this study. The result of this study can be briefly summerised as the following ; 1) The trends in the use of colour turn out like this ; 55.3% of the building were Y(yellow), YR(yellow-green), R(red) Family in Hue, abour 33.9% of them were within 8.0-8.9 and 26.6% were within 7.0-7.9 on the value scale, and about 48.5% of them were within 1.0-1.9, 2.0-2.9 and 3.0-3.9 on the chroma scale. 1) For case 1 on the exterior colours of buildings, about 57.8% were Y and YR family in Hue, about 53.7% were 8.0-8.9 and 7.0-7.9 in Value, and about 49.6% of them were within 1.0-3.9 in chroma. 2) For case 2 on the exterior colours of buildings, about 52.4% were Y and R family in Hue, about 65.1% were 7.0-8.9 in Value, and about 46% were 1.0-2.9 in Chroma. 3) For case 3 on the exterior colours of buildings, about 55.7% were Y and YR Family in Hue, about 72.1% were 7.0-8.9 in Value, and about 31.1% were 2.0-2.9 in Chroma. In summary, the colours of the building surveyed in central Chung-Ju can be characerized as Y, YR, R, N family in Hue, 7.0-7.9, 8.0-8.9 in Value registered in 1.0-1.9, 2.0-2.9, 3.0-3.9 in Chroma. The observed exterior colours show a tendency toward Yellow in Hue, High in Value and low in Chroma. Generally, the majority of the colours is light rather than strong in tone.

Actinomycosis is a chronic suppurative infection, whitch infiltrates mucosa-associated tissues. Thoracic, pelvic and cervicofacial infections of actinomyces are not uncommon, but endobronchial actinomycosis is rarely reported. We report a case of a 29 year old man who presented with a recurrent pneumonia and chronic cough. Fiberoptic bronchoscopy revealed occlusion of the right. lower medio-basal segment bronchus with exophytic endobronchial mass. The diagnosis was confirmed histologically by demonstration of sulfur granules in the bronchoscopic biopsy of the mass. Intravenous administration of amoxacillin and clindamycin followed by oral amoxacillin and clindamycin therapy resulted in complete recovery.

An unconscious 20 year old male carried into the emergency department after an electric shock injury 20 minutes earlier. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was undertaken when asystole appeared on the electrocardiograph monitor. A 12-lead electrocardiograph was taken when in that myocardial infarction was found after performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on an electrical injury patient. We present out case's electrocardiographs with echocardio-graphic findings and radionuclide imaging studies.

대장선암 조직의 CEA에 관한 면역조직학적 고찰

The autors immunohistochemically studied 63 cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma to evaluate clinical significance of histologic pattern of tissue CEA. Immunohistochemical stain of cancerous tissues was performed by ABC method, and then light and electron microscopy were carried out. On light microscopic studies, CEA was mainly distributed on apical and lateral surface of normal and cancer cells and weakly positive in the cytoplasm of cancer cells. On electron microscopic studies, CEA was strongly positive along the apical and lateral borders of cancer cells and weakly positive in the cytoplasm as a pattern of fine granules. The statistical studies revealed such a data that high preoperative serum CEA level was shown in cases of tumor necrosis. Also in groups of surrounding invasion, well differentiation, and distant metastasis of the cancer, preoperative serum CEA levels were significantly increased. Thus, the evaluatin of CEA serologically and immunocytochemically in cases of colorectal adenocarcinoma may significantly inform in diagnosis or postoperative treatment and follow-up.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the correlation of the characteristics of dwellers and residential preference in apartment housing through the case study of 340 samples in 25 housing estates which were built in Chung-ju city The contents of this research consist of two main parts. The first part is to identify characteristics of dwellers, which might have an influence on residential preference in apartment housing. The second part is to identify the main physical elements of residential preference that can be influenced by the personal characteristics. Thus, this research will contribute to the establishment of the planning methods which increase residential preference in apartment housing, while promoting the quality of residential environment in Chung-ju city.

An Ac-type Plasma Display Panel (PDP) operating with Ne-Ar(0.1%) Penning mixture gas is fabicated. The characterics of the panel with electrodes covered with thin and thick dielectric layers are studied. The brightness of the Neon-orange light emitted by the panel measured as function of applied voltage and frequency. As an application, a graphic display system equipped with PDP showing still and moving pictures is made.

Comparison of the Effectiveness of Interventional Endoscopy in Bleeding Peptic Ulcer Disease according to the Timing of Endoscopy

Background/Aims: The optimal timing for interventional endoscopy in bleeding peptic ulcer disease is controversial. This study compared the outcomes between early endoscopy and delayed endoscopy in patients with bleeding peptic ulcer disease. Methods: We conducted a prospective analysis of data from 90 patients with bleeding peptic ulcer disease who visited the emergency room between May 2006 and September 2007. Patients were categorized into two groups: the early-endoscopy group (admitted during the daytime or at night with prompt endoscopic management) and the delayed-endoscopy group (admitted at night or during weekends, with endoscopic management delayed until the next day). We compared the clinical outcomes of endoscopy between the two groups. Results: There were 49 patients in the early-endoscopy group and 41 patients in the delayed-endoscopy group. Patient demographics, clinical characteristics, bleeding control modality, and Rockall score did not differ between the two groups. There were also no significant differences between the early- and delayed-endoscopy groups in the re-bleeding rate (3/49 vs 5/41, p=0.313), the duration of hospital stay (10.7 vs 9.3 days, p=0.437), and the total amount of blood transfused (3.4 vs 2.7 units, p=0.240). Conclusions: The effectiveness of interventional endoscopy for patients with bleeding peptic ulcer disease is not significantly affected by the timing of endoscopy. (Gut and Liver 2009;3:266-270)
