        <tex> ${\rm TmBa}_{2}{\rm Cu}_{3}{\rm O}_{7-{\rm x}}$</tex> Superconducting Thin Films Grown by Pulsed Laser Deposition

        <P>TmBa<SUB>2</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> <SUB>-</SUB> <SUB>x</SUB> films which is one of the (Rare earth)Ba<SUB>2</SUB>Cu<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>7</SUB> <SUB>-</SUB> <SUB>x</SUB> high temperature superconductors with small ionic radius of rare earth element, were deposited on STO (100) single crystal substrates and Y<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>/YSZ/CeO<SUB>2</SUB> buffered metal substrates by pulsed laser deposition. The J<SUB>c</SUB> (77 K) and the value of onset of Tc TmBCO thin film on STO substrate was 4.5 MA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> and 86 K, respectively. The of J<SUB>c</SUB> TmBCO coated conductor on metal substrate was 1 MA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> . In-field property measurement was carried out at temperatures between 10 K and 77 K in magnetic filed up to 6 T in PPMS system. This is the first report, to the best of our knowledge, of TmBCO thin films and coated conductors with TmBCO film as the superconducting layer which have critical current densities at 77 K of 4.5 MA/ cm<SUP>2</SUP> and 1 MA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> , respectively. The superconducting properties of TmBCO films and the possibility of using TmBCO film as the superconducting layer of the HTS coated conductor, were investigated.</P>

      • <i>Deqi</i> Induction by HT7 Acupuncture Alters Theta and Alpha Band Coherence in Human Healthy Subjects

        <P>The aim of this preliminary study is to investigate the changes in phase synchronization in the theta and alpha bands before and during the performance of classical acupuncture on the Sinmun (HT7). The electroencephalogram (EEG) signals from nine healthy young subjects were recorded before and during acupuncture in the “closed-eye” state. The EEG signals were acquired from 19 surface scalp electrodes (FP1, FP2, F7, F3, Fz F4, F8, T3, C3, Cz, C4, T4, T5, P3, Pz, P4, T6, O1, and O2). Needles were inserted into the HT7 bilaterally and were then manipulated to induce<I> deqi</I> and retained for 15 minutes. Phase synchronization was measured by phase coherence. In the theta band, coherence significantly increased between the temporal (T5, T6) and occipital areas (O1, O2) during the acupuncture stimulation. In the alpha band, coherence significantly increased between the left temporal area (T5) and other areas (frontal, parietal, and occipital). Phase coherence in the theta and alpha bands tended to increase during the retention of the acupuncture needles after<I> deqi</I>. Therefore, it can be concluded that acupuncture stimulation with<I> deqi</I> is clinically effective via the central nervous system (CNS).</P>

      • Expression Patterns of HIF-1α Under Hypoxia in Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells of Venous Malformations

        PURPOSE: The molecular pathophysiology of venous malformations (VMs), which are a type of vascular malformation, is poorly understood. Until now, it is known that VM lesions are related to the process of angiogenesis. Because angiogenesis is induced under hypoxic conditions, hypoxia is thought to be important in VM lesion formation. Therefore, we examined the implications of hypoxia on the biological behavior of VM vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). In doing so, we investigated the expression patterns of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α), which plays a key role in hypoxia-induced angiogenesis, to provide a further understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in VM. METHODS: Vascular smooth muscle cells from 5 normal veins and 5 VM lesions were cultured under moderate hypoxic conditions (3% O2, 5% CO2). The effects of hypoxia on HIF-1α expression were measured by immunocytochemical staining, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, and real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. RESULTS: Overall, the expression of HIF-1α in cells was high after exposure to hypoxia for 6 or 12 hours, but decreased after 24 hours of hypoxia. HIF-1α expression in VM VSMCs was 2 times higher than that in normal VSMCs. Immunocytochemically, HIF-1α was mainly located in the nucleus and the intensity in VM VSMCs was stronger after 6 and 12 hours of hypoxia when compared to the expression pattern of HIF-1α in VSMCs from normal tissue. This suggested that VM tissue is more susceptible to the effects of hypoxia than normal tissue. CONCLUSIONS: These results indicate that the high expression of HIF-1α in VM VSMCs under hypoxic conditions could be an important factor for stimulating downstream angiogenesis in VM. Furthermore, the results of this investigation could provide the basis for future studies of VM pathophysiology, and ultimately lead to the development of new therapeutic approaches.

        E-learning의 정서적 반응 및 학습성과가 전이성과에 미치는 영향 : 직무몰입의 매개효과를 중심으로

        최근 정보통신기술의 발달에 따라 기업 교육훈련 체계가 전통적인 소집형 교육에서 e-learning으로 전환되고 있다. 기업교육의 궁극적인 성공은 교육을 이수하고 난 뒤 현업에 돌아가서 자신이 배웠던 교육내용을 실무에서 적극적으로 사용함으로써 전이성과를 높이는 데 있다. 본 연구는 기업교육의 전이성과에 영향을 주는 제 요인들을 살펴보는 것이 연구목적이다. 전이성과 결정요인으로 기업교육의 일차적 성과인 정서적 반응과 학습성과를 가정하고, 이들 간의 관계에 영향을 미치는 직무몰입의 매개효과를 실증 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 국내 기업교육 전문업체 C사와 직장인 재교육 교육기관인 K기관으로부터 최근 3개월에서 6개월 사이에 e-learning을 이수한 피교육자를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그리고 구조방정식모형에 의한 분석결과를 제시하고 토의하였다. 분석 결과, 직무몰입의 매개효과가 검증되었으며 분석 결과에 대한 해석 및 토론을 하였다. The development of information technologies has contributed virtual training as one of important education methods. E-Learning in firms provides trainees with more education opportunities in diverse ways. It has developed a range of innovative services with an one-stop solution of education within the electronic sector. Also under the e-learning environment, trainees can undertake customized training packages at anytime and any places. Moreover, information technology allows both the trainers and other trainees to be decoupled in any of the elements of time, Place, and space. This study explores the relationship between reaction/learning performance and transfer performance, and analyzes the mediating effect of individual characteristics on training effectiveness in e-learning settings. Based on the previous literature conducted on the traditional training environment, four sub-hypotheses are developed and tested by questionnaires survey data. The collected data have been analyzed by SPSS12.0 Results indicate that 1) reaction to the e-learning program are revealed as factor affecting the improvement of the transfer performance; and 2) mediating effects of personal characteristics(job involvement) are partially identified. The contribution and limitations of this research are also discussed with future studies.

        森林資源化를 위한 山村問題硏究 : 江原道를 중심으로 with Kangwon province as the central region

        우리나라에서 國內木材消費量은 과거 20-30년 동안에 급격하게 증가했고 최근에는 休養을 위한 森林利用, 水源涵養과 國土保全을 위한 保安林의 必要性이 점차로 증대해가고 있다. 그러나 森林을 조성해야할 森林所有者들이 山村에서 都市로 移動하고 있으므로 森林에 대한 社會의 욕구를 충족시키기 위한 森林活動이 어려워지고 있으며 따라서 都鄙化問題가 중요한 政策課題로 되어있다. 本 論文은 森林資源化를 위하여 山村問題를 분석한 事例硏究이다. Domestic timber consumption has increased dramatically in the past few decades in this country. In addition, there is increasing demand for recreational opportunities in the forest areas and concern for watershed management and soil conservation. However, it is difficult to satisfy these demands for forest resources because many of woodland owerners who make such demands possible move from mountain villages to modern cities. Therefore, whether or not it is in the public interest to invest in rurbanization is a central policy question. This is a case study which deals with mountains village problems for making forest resources.

        흰 쥐 모델에서 지연재식 시 dexamethasone과 OP-1의 표면처리가 치주조직 재생 및 항흡수 작용에 미치는 효과

        본 연구를 종합하면 통계학적인 유의차는 없었으나 OP-1에 비해서는 DEX로 처치한 군에서 더 많은 골유합이 나타났으며 고농도의 OP-1으로 처치한 군에서는 골유합 없이 치주재생이 일어나는 부위가 많이 관찰되었다. 그러나 차후에는 DEX나 OP-1이 치주조직 내의 어느 세포에 어떠한 기전으로 작용하는지 분자생물학적인 방법을 통하여 규명하고 이를 토대로 치주인대의 손상 후 야기되는 골성 유합을 줄이는 효과적인 치료약제나 방법을 개발하는 연구가 계속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료되며 6주 이상의 재식기간 후 각 약제의 조직학적 반응을 평가하기 위한 실험도 추가되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. 태생 40일 된 Spray-Dolwey계 흰 쥐의 상악 제1대구치를 발거하고 30분간 자연건조시킨 뒤 MB치근을 Caviton으로 근관충전하고 MB 치근표면에 DEX와 OP-1을 농도를 달리하여 도포한 후 재식하고 3주후 골 및 백악질의 재형성과 치주재생 및 치근 흡수 방지효과를 관찰한 결과 고농도의 OP-1이 조직학적인 관찰에서 치근흡수, 골성 유합 및 염증 정도에서 가장 우수한 결과를 보여주었고 치주 재생능력 면에서도 가장 뛰어난 것으로 나타났으나 추후에는 6주 이상의 장기관찰 후 각 약제의 조직학적 반응도를 평가하기 위한 실험이 추가되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

From the investigation of the trends of soil remediation technology in USA, the classification of organic compounds for the treatability evaluation. the assesment techniques of teratability of contaminants and the estimatcd cost of remediation technology, the fundamentals that support to select the alternatives for the oil contaminated soil in petrochemical complex were suggest.

        0.75Δ% 굴절율차를 가진 40채널 광파장 다중화 및 역다중화 소자 제작 및 특성

        [ $0.75delta\%$ ]의 평판광회로(PLC;Planar Lightwave Circuit)소자의 설계 및 제작기술을 가지고 저손실과 높은 누화율을 가진 파장 다중화 및 역다중화 소자를 개발하였다. C-band AWG(Arrayed Waveguide Grating)에서의 삽입손실은 2.503이하, 누화율은 35dB이상, 균일도는 1dB이하이며 L-band에서는 Vernier 디자인을 적용하여 ITU-T의 파장 정확도가 0.04nm이하가 되도록 제작하였다. A 40 channel arrayed-waveguide grating (AWG) filter operating in C-band and L-band wavelength regions has been fabricated using PLC (Planar Lightwave Circuit) processes with 0.75 refractive index difference. Its design was optimized for matching the center wavelength with the ITU-recommended wavelength. The characteristics of the fabricated C-band AWG are as follows; average insertion loss < 2.5 dB, polarization-dependent loss < 0.3 dB, non-adjacent crosstalk >35dB, and the loss uniformity of 0.8 dB. In the L-band AWG, wavelength accuracy is below 0.02nm.

        과학 실험·실습의 지도평가를 위한 모형과 도구개발

        The purpose of this study is to develop models and instruments for teaching and assessing scientific experiments and practices. General objectives for teaching and evaluating scientific experiments and practices in secondary schools were analyzed and categorized into three domains:they were inquiry skill, scientific thinking skill, and scientific attitude. The sub-categories for each domain were constructed, and specific objectives for each general objective were also stated in terms of behavioral objectives according to Mager's suggestion. The tables of specification (content×behavior) were developed in order to assist secondary school teachers to teach and evaluate scientific experiments in class. In addition, we introduced some useful assessment techniques which can be adopted to evaluating learning outcomes of each specific objective. The sample test items corresponding to each objective were listed for practical usage in class.

        PLD법을 이용한 TmBa₂Cu₃O<SUB>7-x</SUB> 초전도 선재 제작 및 전류전송특성 평가

        REBa₂Cu₃O7-d(REBCO) coated conductors(REBCO CCs) have been studied for electric power applications which require high current density wires. As long as the critical transition temperature(Tc) is concerned, REBCO CCs with large RE³? ions have been expected to have better current transport properties than those with smaller RE³? ions. For this reason, REBCO's with large RE³? ions which include GdBCO, NdBCO and SmBCO have been mainly considered as the superconducting layer of CCs. On the other hand, REBCO's with smaller RE³? ions are expected to have advantages in the fabrication process of CCs because of the lower melting temperature. But it has not yet been made clear which REBCO is the most suitable for the superconducting layer of CCs. In this study, we investigated the current transport properties of REBCO CCs with small RE³? ion and advantages of using that in the CC fabrication process. Thin films of TmBCO, which has smaller RE³? ion than most other RE³? ions, were fabricated on buffered metal substrate as the superconducting layer of CC by PLD process. TmBCO CC shows critical current density (Jc (77 K, sf) = 2.3 MA/㎠) high enough to be utilized for application in electric power devices. Compared with previous experiments using the same PLD system, deposition temperature was approximately 20 ℃ lower than NdBCO thin films on buffered metal substrates.
