        고등학교 생물 교과서의 과학적 소양에 (素養) 관한 양적 분석

        The purpose of this study was to examine the content of high school biology textbooks for curriculum balance and emphasis on the following aspects of scientific literacy; 1) science as a body of knowledge, 2) science as a way of investigating, 3) science as a way of thinking, and 4) the interaction among science, technology, and society. In addition, the number of expository learning aids such as figures, tables, vocabulary terms, questions, and reading materials were determined. The biology textbook is an important teaching aid in high school biology courses, which conveys some of the information that students receive and influences how students perceive the scientific literacy themes. Most of the biology textbooks analyzed in the present study stress science as a body of knowledge such as facts, concepts, principles, hypotheses, and theories associated with biology. All of the biology textbooks make an attempt to engage the students in activities that cause them to think, reason, and find out which is the theme defined as science as a way of investigating. These textbooks present many questions for students to answer. But many of the questions can be answered from the written material in the chapter. Some of the questions can be answered by studying the tables in the text or by actually caning out a laboratory exercise. Most of the biology textbooks deemphasize science as a way of thinking, Their authors do not stress the importance of how biologists discover ideas and experiment, the historical development of biology concepts, cause-and-effect relationships, evidence and proof. The majority of biology textbooks analyzed in this study devote practically little space to the interaction among science, technology, and society(STS). These textbooks have attempted include STS by inserting boxed-in sections. The amount of textual material and learning aids in the biology textbooks examined in this study are large. The quantity of material might result in these teaching aids being perceived differently by teachers than by students. Teachers seem to like many questions in a textbook from which to assign work problems to help reinforce important learning outcomes. Students, on the other hand, might perceive most of these biology textbooks as a lot of information to learn and too many problems to work. Thus, it is desirable that the findings discussed above must be considered at the time of revision of future curriculum and high school biology textbooks.

        This paper has attempted to provide the latest design approaches, their application site characterization and selecting alternatives for the remediation action of oil contaminated soil. The classification of hazardous materials, the fate of hazardous contaminants in soil and the conventional prediction model and assesment tools were introduced. From the investigation of the trends of soil remediation technology in USA, the classification of organic compounds for the treatability evaluation. the assesment techniques of teratability of contaminants and the estimatcd cost of remediation technology, the fundamentals that support to select the alternatives for the oil contaminated soil in petrochemical complex were suggest.

        블록별 토지이용에 따른 강절도 범죄발생 특성 연구

        주거지에 발생하는 각종 범죄는 주민에게 불안과 공포를 안겨주는 심각한 도시문제이다. 이러한 범죄에 대비하여 방범환경설계(CPTED)기법을 통해 안전한 정주환경을 조성하고 있다. 하지만 우리나라 정주공간이 갖는 특수한 여건에 따른 실제적인 범죄 발생 특성에 대한 분석이 미흡한 관계로 적용 시 한계가 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 한계점에 착안하여 정주환경이 안정화된 분당 신도시의 범죄발생 현황을 토지이용과 연계·분석하여 그 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 분석결과, 아파트지역은 인접블록과 동일 토지이용이 연계된 경우에 많이 발생하고, 토지이용 상 에지를 형성하는 블록엔 적게 발생하였다. 단독·연립주택지는 상업 활동이 활발하고 인접지역으로 탈출이 용이한 블록과 외곽의 고급단독주택지 블록에 범죄가 빈발한 반면, 상대적으로 탈출이 용이하지 않은 하천 등을 단절되고 토지이용이 연속되지 않은 블록은 적게 나타났다. 업무·상업지역인 경우 유동인구가 많은 역세권이나 대형 상업판매시설 부근이 범죄빈도가 높았으며, 업무용도와 주거용도 집중된 블록은 빈도가 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 분석결과는 향후 도시에서 범죄를 줄일 수 있는 설계기법을 위한 기초자료가 될 것이다. There are some limitations to apply CPTED because the relationship between the characteristics of the Korean residential environments and crimes has not been identified yet. In order to solve such problems, this study seeks to analyze how the landuse patterns in Bundang New Town, are associated with the crime rate. As a result of the analysis, this study has found the followings. Firstly, in an apartment complex, a crime rate is higher when the land use of the complex is connected to the abutting blocks, whereas it is lower when a block has an edge in terms of land use. Secondly, in residential blocks consisting of single-family housings and multi-family housings, the rate is higher in not only a block that commercial use is active and when escaping into other blocks is easy but also a residential block consisting of luxurious single-family housings, while it is lower in blocks that are separated from other blocks by, for example, streams, or blocks that have a disconnected land use with nearby blocks. Lastly, in commercial and business districts, the rate is higher in an area adjacent to a transit station that have many passing populations or blocks adjacent to commercial or retail uses.
