        유성기 음반 속의 영화적 서사

        Phonograph records are based on the movies in 1920s and 1930s, and have their medium characteristics of short length, which is equal to a very short piece of writing, and their reliance of sounds only. Therefore they positively utilize movies' conventions. They use the universal dramatic elements of movies, topics, or rely on conventions, the method of patterned expressions. Using those ways they try to help the listeners understand quickly and keep continuous interests. Phonograph record plays are the world of strong emotions. They always show the basic feelings like angers, frustrations and curses, so they are passionate with these reiterating emotions. In addition, a movie talker's voice delivers the world of the passions more lively and effectively. A movie talker's voice, which is usually hoarse and eloquent, wonderfully conveys the passionate world of phonograph record plays, sometimes with exclamations and sometimes with appeals, without adding or extracting. Finally, phonograph record plays make the most of their characteristic of being a sound medium and diversely utilize a movie talker's voice, orchestra's music, solo singing with arias or popular songs, etc. An orchestra's prelude effectively helps listeners to absorb into a movie-like narrative or let them recognize the play's atmosphere. Background music and effect sound are positively used to make the narrative lively and interesting. The repeated solo singing's insertion of a best actress of the age increases deep emotions in appreciating a phonograph record play.

        대구지역의 국지적 대기순환풍의 환기경로에 관한 수치모의 실험

        In urban area, thermal pollution associated with heat island phenomena is generally regarded to make urban life uncomfortable. To overcome this urban thermal pollution problem, urban planning with consideration of urban climate, represented by the concept of urban ventilation lane, is widely practiced in many countries. In this study, the prevailing wind ventilation lane of a local winds in Daegu during the warm climate season was investigated by using surface wind data and RAMS(Reasonal Atmospheric Model System) simulation. The domain of interest is the vicinity of Daegu metropolitan city(about 900 km²) and its horizontal scale is about 30km. The simulations were conducted under the synoptic condition of late spring with the weak gradient wind and mostly clear sky. From the numerical simulations, the following two major conclusions were obtained: (1)The major wind passages of the local circulation wind generated by radiative cooling over the mountains(Mt. Palgong and Mt. Ap) are found. The winds blow down along the valley axis over the eastern part of the Daegu area as a gravity flow during nighttime. (2)After that time, the winds blow toward the western part of Daegu through the city center. As the result, the higher temperature region appears over the western part of Daegu metropolitan area.

        Digital Synthesis, for the generation of musical instrument sound using microprocessor, is described. The sampling converts the instrument sound into digitized wave and the D/A converter changes the digitized sound wave into original instrument sound wave. Through this process, it is shown that the synthesized sounds have nealy same timbre with original instrument sounds.

        1920, 30년대 대중소설에 나타난 굿ㆍ배드ㆍ맨과 변사의 목소리

        Popular novels in 1920s and 1930s were absorbed in making 'newness' to compete with other genres of mass culture, which created new types of characters or came to accept movie techniques. One of those characters is a bad man or a rake, who meets a chaste maiden and is awakened to love and meets a turning point in his life and becomes a good man or a gentle man. That character is the reflection of good . bad . man in the American western films which was the most popular movie genre in 1920s and 19308. Good·bad·man had been aroused a charming character due to his wealth, scholastic ability and reformed personality. In addition, the female character who enlightened him, is also one that was a reflection of audience's desire. It also happened that the pure and innocent character, which was once mainly revealed in females, was transferred to men. The pure and innocent male characters became guardian angels to female characters who suffered hardships; they kept the females safe and devoted their love to them. The character aroused as a charming one, too, by stirring up a comfortable abundance that he got readers' compassion and love. A movie talker's voice, which once highlighted the amusement of watching movies in the period of silent films, was introduced to popular novels, too. The movie talker's voice was used in the climax of audience's emotions, in the urgent crisis, and in the big turning point like a scene; it reproduced the excitements in the theater and made readers enjoy the visual images by imaginations.

        We have experienced a case of presacral ganglioneuroma. So, we report a peripheral ganglioneuroma of sacral origin. The patient is 34-year-old man with intermittent low back pain and right sciatica. Myelographic computed tomography revealed extradural lobulated low attenuated tumor lesion within spinal canal at the level of L5 and S1. Tumor indented the thecal sac to the left side, and extended into the pelvic cavity through the intervertebral foramen between S1 and S2. The mass was surgically excised and turned out to be ganglioneuroma pathologically.

      • 스트레스관리 프로그램이 만성정신분열병환자의 증상과 삶의 질에 미치는 효과

        This study examined the effects of stress-management programs on the symptoms and quality of life in the chronic schizophrenics. The subjects were the chronic schizophrenics who were registered and managed by one of the public health care centers in Seoul. The stress-management programs were provided 10 times. Positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS) and quality of life were surveyed before and after the stress-management programs. The results were as follows. 1. The differences of positive symptoms, negative symptoms and general psychopathological symptoms before and after stress-management program were significantly different between the group which were provided with stress-management programs and the group which were not provided. 2. The differences of the quality of life before and after stress-management program were significantly different between the group which were provided with stress-management programs and the group which were not provided. These results indicate that stress-management programs have effects on relieving the symptoms and improving the quality of life of schizophrenics. Ultimately these results also suggest that stress-management programs be used as the supplementary means to treat schizophrenics.

        ICR Mouse의 아급성 알코올 대사에 보이차(Camelia sinensis L) 추출물이 미치는 효과

        An eight-week-old male ICR mouse, which was induced with acute alcohol and sub-acute alcohol poisoning condition, was administered with bohee tea(Camelia sinensis L) extract. Under the inducement of the sub-acute alcohol poisoning condition, no considerable differences could be found in the blood alcohol concentration of the positive control group and the bohee tea group(p<0.05). The GOT activity of the three groups: bohee tea, Drink, and Alcodex decreased than that of the normal control group(9.064±4.687 unit)(p<0.05). In addition, the blood GOT activity of the dark green tea group dropped by 81.44% compared with that of the positive control group. On the other hand, the blood GTP activity of the bohee tea group decreased by 5.2% as opposed to that of the positive control and the Drink that decreased by 7.5% as opposed to that of the positive control. The hepatic ADH activity of the bohee tea increased by 22.7%, as opposed to that of the positive control group. The Drink, however, had an increase rate of 33.6%. In the case of the hepatic ALDH activity of the liver, no significant differences were ever recorded among all groups, except for the positive control group. Due to an intake of bohee tea extract, the hepatic ALDH activity decreased by 77.27% which could not be seen in the positive control group. However, Drink and Alcodex had a decrease could be seen(p<0.05).

      • 노화가 인체 중간엽 줄기세포로부터 조골세포로의 증식 및 분화에 미치는 영향

        연구배경: 일반적으로 골다공증과 연관된 위험인자로는 연령, 폐경, 약물, 불충분한 칼슘섭취, 만성질환 및 운동부족 등이 있는데, 특히 노화가 진행할수록 골밀도가 감소하는 것은 잘 알려져 있다. 노화와 관련하여 진행되는 골소실은 조골세포 및 전구조골세포의 기능적 결핍에 의한 골형성의 감소가 주요한 요인으로 여겨지고 있다. 그 동안 연령이 조골모 세포의 양과 조골모 세포로부터 성숙조골세포로의 분화 및 증식에 미치는 영향에 대한 일부 보고들이 있었으나 아직 일치된 견해는 없는 형편이다. 방법: 다양한 연령의 사람으로부터 골수를 채취, 중간엽 줄기세포가 포함된 단핵세포를 분리한 후 조골세포로 분화하기 좋은 조건하에서 배양하였다. 대상군은다시 젊은군과 노령군으로 구분하여 다양한 변수를 비교 분석하였다. 일차배양에서는 CFU-F를 계수하여 골수내 중간엽 줄기세포의 수를 추산하였고, 칼슘측정을 통하여 기질의 무기화 정도를 비교하였다. 계대배양후 이차배양에서는 시기별로 알카리성 포스파타제 활성도를 측정하고 오스테오칼신 mRNA의 발현을 관찰하여 젊은군과 노령군 사이의 증식능 차이를 비교하였다. 또한 이차배양 시기별로 MTT 측정을 하여 양군간에 증식능 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 결과: 1. 일차배양 15일째에 평균 CFU-F의 수는 젊은군에서 유의하게 많았다(젊은군 148.3±28.9, 노령군 54.3±9.1, p=0.02). CFU-F의 평균면적은 젊은군에서 넓은 경향을 보였으나 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다. 2. 일차배양 17일 경과 후 양군간에 기질 칼슘 침착정도는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다(젊은군 103.6±50.6, 노령군: 114.0±56.5, p=NS). 3. 이차배양 10일째에 젊은군에서 알카리성 포스파타제 활성도가 고령군에 비해 유의하게 높았다(젊은군: 935.5±115.0 U/mg, 노령군: 578.4±115.7U/mg,p.0.05). 고령군에서는 시간 경과에 따른 변화가 미약했으며 전반적으로 알카리성 포스파타제의 활성도가 젊은군에 비해 낮았다. 4. 이차배양도중 오스테오칼신 mRNA의 발현은 배양시기별로 젊은군에 비해 고령군에서 더 낮은 경향을 관찰할 수 있었다. 5. 이차배양 10일과 15일에 젊은군에서 노령군보다세포증식이 유의하게 증가된 양상을 보였다(10앓 젊은군 0.73±0.05, 노령군 0.58±0.04, p=0.05, 15일; 젊은군 0.80±0.05, 노령군 0.70±0.03, p=0.05).결론: 이상의 연구에서 저자들은 노령군에서 젊은군보다 골수 내 중간엽줄기세포의 수가 적고, 노령군에서 유래한 전구조골세포의 성숙조골세포로의 증식 및 분화가 젊은군 보다 감소해 있는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다. Background: Osteoblasts originate from osteoprogenitor cells in bone marrow stroma, termed mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) or bone marrow stromal cells. Each MSC forms colonies (colony forming units-fibroblasts [CFL-Fs]) when cultured ex vivo. There are some reports about the age-related changes of the number and osteogenic potential of osteoprogenitor cells, but any relationship has not been clearly established in humans. In this study, we counted MSCs using CFU-Fs count and examined the proliferative capacity and differentiation potential of osteoprogenitor cells. Finally, we analyzed how these parameters varied with donor age. Methods: Bone marrow was obtained from the iliac crest of young (n=6, 27.2±8.6 years old) and old (n= 10, 57.4k6.7 years old) healthy donors. Mononuclear cells, including MSCs, were isolated and cultured in osteogenic medium. In primary culture, we compared the colony-forming efficiency of MSCs between the two groups and determined the matrix calcification. When primary culture showed near confluence, the cells were subcultured. Alkaline phosphatase activity, osteocalcin expression by RT-PCR and proliferative potential by MTT assay were examined by the time course of secondary culture. Results: At the 15th day of primary culture, the mean number of CFU-Fs was significantly higher in the younger donors (young: 148.3±28.9, old: 54.3±9.1, p=0.02) and the mean size of CFL-Fs was also larger in the younger donors than the older donors. However, matrix calcification was not different between the two groups (young: 103.6±50.6, old: 114.0±56.5, p=NS). In secondary culture, alkaline phosphatase activities were significantly lower in the older donors. The younger donors showed peak alkaline phosphatase activity at day 10, while the older donors didn't showed a remarkable peak (young: 935.5±115.OU/mg, old: 578.4±115.7U/mg, p<0.05). Total cell number as a proliferative index increased progressively during the secondary culture and a significantly greater cell number was noted in the younger donors. Osteocalcin expression was generally upregulated in the younger donors, but this was not statistically significant. Conclusion: Our study shows that the number of osteoprogenitor cells is decreased during aging and that the proliferative capacity and differentiation potential of osteoprogenitor cells seem to be reduced during aging (J Kor SOC Endocrinol 18:296-305, 2003).

      • 일단 교류/직류 변환기에서 단일권선 자기에너지 궤환기법에 관한 연구

        A novel single-switch, single-stage, AC/DC forward converter is proposed using transformer magnetic energy feedback technique for power factor correction. The operational principle and analysis of the proposed converter is presented It gives the good power factor correction, low line current harmonic distortions by using a magnetic energy feedback technique without adding winding. Furthermore, it is capable of producing an isolated output voltage regulation without ripple. Under the IEC1000-3-2 requirements, a unity power factor is nearly achieved by the prototype. In this paper, it's theoretical analysis is presented. The proposed method is successfully verified by computer simulations and experiments.
