        일부 남성 금속제품 조립작업자들의 피로에 영향을 미치는 작업관련요인

        목적 : 남성 금속제품 조립 작업자들의 피로에 영향을 미치는 작업관련요인을 파악하고자 한다. 방법 : 작업자의 일반적 특성 및 작업관련 특성, 육체적 부하, 직무 스트레스 등을 조사 항목으로 하여 자동차 부품 조립업 1개소(476명), 자동차 엔진 조립업 1개소(610명), 대형 선박 엔진 조립업 1개소(454명)의 작업자(1,540명)를 대상으로 수거된 설문지 중 부실하게 응답한 38부를 제외한 1,136부(총연구대상의 73.8%)를 분석하였고, 피로도와의 연관성을 다중선형회귀분석으로 살펴보았다. 조사는 자기 기입식 설문지를 사용하였다. 육체적 부하를 측정하기 위해서는 Borg의 scale이 사용되었다. 격무 스트레스를 측정하기 위해서는 Karasek의 Job content questionnaire가 사용되었다. 피로의 측정은 전반적 피로도(sum of fatigue), 일상생활 기능장애(daily dysfunctioning), 상황적 피로(situational fatigue), 피로점수의 총합(sum of fatigue)으로 구성되어 있는 다면적 피로척도를 사용하였다. 피로점수의 분포는 본 연구에 응답한 피로점수의 총합을 사분위수로 나누어서 4등급으로 나누었다. 결과 : 피로점수의 분포는 피로점수의 총합을 사분위수로 나누었을 때, 0≤1등급≤73, 74≤2등급≤82, 83≤3등급≤93, 94≤4등급≤133이었다. 다중선형회귀분석에서 피로점수의 총합과 유의한 관계를 보인 경우는 주간근무, 긴 주당 노동시간, 높은 육체적 부하, 높은 직무요구도, 낮은 직무자율성, 낮은 상사의 지지 등이었고, 전반적 피로도와 유의한 관계를 보인 경우는 주간근무, 높은 육체적 부하, 높은 직무요구도, 낮은 직무자율성, 낮은 상사의 지지 등이었다. 일상생활 기능장애와 유의한 관계를 보인 경우는 주간근무, 긴 주당 노동시간, 높은 육체적 부하, 낮은 직무자율성 등이었다. 상황적 피로와 유의한 관계를 보인 경우는 높은 연령, 주간근무, 긴 주당 노동시간, 낮은 직무자율성 등이었다. 결론 : 피로관련 요인은 긴 주당노동시간, 높은 직무요구도, 높은 육체적 부하, 낮은 직무자율성, 낮은 상사의 지지로 생각된다. Objectives: To find work related factors affecting perceived fatigue among male metal product assemblers. Methods: The study subjects were metal product assemblers from three metal product companies (476 car parts assemblers, 610 car engine assemblers, 454 ship engine assemblers). From the total of 1,540 subjects, 1,136 (73.8%) were included and 38 respondents with insufficient replies were excluded. Associations between fatigue score and other variables (general characteristics, job related factors, workload, job stresses) were investigated in terms of the concept of multidimensional fatigue construct by self administered questionnaire. Using MFS (Multidimensional Fatigue Scale), JCQ (Job Content Questionnaire), and Borg's scale, we estimated the fatigue, job stress, and workload, respectively. Fatigue score was estimated by 'sum of fatigue' in MFS. Associations were tested by linear regression analysis using SAS v.8.0. Results: In this study, the fatigue related factors were older age, longer working hours per week, higher workload, higher job demand, lower decision latitude, and lower supervisor support. Conclusions: Prolonged working hours, higher workload, higher job demand, poor supervisor support and lower decision latitude were fatigue related factors among the male metal product assemblers of this study.

        한국인 직무 스트레스 측정도구의 개발 및 표준화

        Background and Purposes: Over the past three decades, numerous studies performed in Korea have reported that job stress is a determinant risk factor for chronic diseases and work disability. Every society has its own culture and occupational climate particular to their organizations, and hence experiences different occupational stress. An occupational stress measurement tool therefore needs to be developed to estimate it objectively. The purpose of this study is to develop and standardize the Korean Occupational Stress Scale (KOSS) which is considered to be unique and specific occupational stressors in Korean employees. Subjects and Methods: Data were obtained from the National Study for Development and Standardization of Occupational Stress (NSDSOS Project: 2002-2004). A total of 12,631 employees from a nationwide sample proportional to the Korean Standard Industrial Classification and the Korean Standard Occupational Classification were administered. The KOSS was developed for 2 years (2002-2004). In the first year, we collected 255 items from the most popular job stress measurement tools such as JCQ, ERI, NIOSH and OSI, and 44 items derived from the a qualitative study (depth interview). Forty-three items of KOSS, in the second year, were retained for use in the final version of the KOSS by using Delphi and factor analysis. Items were scored using conventional 1-2-3-4 Likert scores for the response categories. Results: We developed eight subscales by using factor analysis and validation process: physical environment (3 items), job demand (8 items), insufficient job control (5 items), interpersonal conflict (4 items), job insecurity (6 items), organizational system (7 items), lack of reward (6 items), and occupational climate (4 items). Together they explained 50.0% of total variance. Internal consistency alpha scores were ranged from 0.51 to 0.82. Twenty-four items of the short form of the KOSS (KOSS-SF) were also developed to estimate job stress in the work setting. Because the levels of the subscales of occupational stress were gender dependent, gender-specific standard norms for both the 43-item full version and the 24-item short form using a quartile for the subscales of KOSS were presented. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that KOSS might be an appropriate measurement scale to estimate occupational stress of Korean employees. Further and more detailed study needs to be conducted to improve the validity of this scale.

        Reciprocal lattice explorer는 de Jong-Bouman camera와 Buerger precession camera를 合친것이다. 이 explorer를 使用하면 goniometer에 한번 固定한 試料를 使用하여 그 試料의 空間群을 決定하는데 必要한 모든 寫眞을 撮影할 수 있으며 그들은 찌그러지지 않은 逆格子面의 寫眞들이다. 本 論文에서는 de Jong-Bouman 과 Buerger precession 寫眞術의 原理와 使用法을 記述 하였고 또한 de Jong-Bouman의 振動寫眞과 zeroth layer 寫眞으로부터 11個 Laue群의 識別方法도 提示하였다. The reciprocal lattice explorer is an instrument which incorporates the principles of both the Buerger precession and the de Jong-Bouman methods. On the explorer all photographs which are necessary for a space group determination can be taken with a single setting of a crystal and the photographs show undistorted pictures of the reciprocal lattice planes. In this paper, the principles and the usages of the de Jong-Bouman and the Buerger precession photography are described, and a method of 11 Laue group identification using the de Jong-Bouman oscillation and zeroth layer photographs is shown.

        This paper presents the downlink performance between a base station and a repeater within a WiBro cellular system. A scenario composed of a donor base station, a repeater, and adjacent base stations. We measure CINR variation for the repeater induced by the direction of the repeater antenna. Simulation results are given for two different scenarios: LOS and NLOS scenarios.

        <P>Rodents and soricomorphs are animal hosts of fleas and associated zoonotic microbial pathogens. A total of 4,889 small mammals were collected from Gyeonggi and Gangwon Provinces, Republic of Korea, from 2008 through 2010, including: Apodemus agrarius (4,122, 84.3%), followed by Crocidura lasiura (282, 5.8%), Microtus fortis (257, 5.3%), Myodes regulus (77, 1.6%), Micromys minutus (71, 1.5%), Mus musculus (63, 1.3%), and 4 other species (17, 0.3%). A total of 1,099 fleas belonging to 10 species and 7 genera were collected. Ctenophthalmus congeneroides (724, 65.9%) was the most commonly collected flea, followed by Stenoponia sidimi (301, 27.4%), Neopsylla bidentatiformis (29, 2.6%), and Rhadinopsylla insolita (25, 2.3%). The remaining species accounted for only 1.8% (20, range 1-6) of all fleas collected. The 2 dominant flea species, C. congeneroides and S. sidimi, showed an inverse seasonal pattern, with higher populations of C. congeneroides from January-September, whereas S. sidimi was more frequently collected during October-December. The overall flea infestation rates (FIR) and flea indices (FI) were 14.1% and 0.22, respectively, and were highest during April-June (19.7% and 0.30, respectively). A total of 735 of the 1,099 fleas were assayed for the detection of Bartonella spp. by PCR using Bartonella-specific primers, of which 515 were positive for Bartonella, with an overall maximum likelihood estimate (MLE) of 700.7/1,000. The highest MLE values were observed during April-June (899.2) and July-September (936.2) trapping periods and, although lower, were similar for January-March (566.7) and October-December (574.1). C. congeneroides demonstrated high MLEs for all seasons (range 752.5-934.8), while S. sidimi was positive for Bartonella only during January-March (MLE=342.1) and October-December (MLE=497.2) collection periods. Continued long-term surveillance of small mammals and associated ectoparasites is needed to improve our understanding of the prevalence of Bartonella spp. in fleas and the role of fleas in the zoonotic maintenance and transmission of Bartonella to humans.</P>

        생태⋅환경교육강사들 ‘생태교육’과 ‘환경교육’에 대한 관계인식 유형

        목적 본 연구는 비트겐슈타인의 언어놀이 개념을 바탕으로, 생태⋅환경교육 강사들이 생태교육과 환경교육의 관계를 어떻게 인식하고 있는지, 인구사회학적 배경변인에 따라 관계 인식 유형에 차이가 나타나는지 확인하고자하였다. 방법 전국의 생태⋅환경교육 강사 57명이 연구에 참여하였으며 벤 다이어그램으로 제시된 생태교육과 환경교육의 관계 유형 중 본인의 생각과 일치하는 것을 선택하고 그 이유를 서술할 수 있도록 설문지를 구성하였다. 온라인 설문 플랫폼을 통해 자료를 수집하였으며 반복적 비교분석 및 교차분석을 진행하였다. 결과 연구결과, ‘생태교육=환경교육’ 유형으로 인식하는 경우가 가장 많았으며 그 뒤로 ‘생태교육⊃환경교육’, ‘생태교육⊂환경교육’, ‘생태교육∩환경교육’ 유형이 나타났다. 같은 유형의 응답이라도 선택 이유는 다양하게 나타났다. 이를 통해 생태교육과 환경교육 사이에 가치관이나 내용지식 등에서 공통영역이 있다는 언어놀이상 규칙을 암묵적으로 공유하고 있으면서도 개인의 경험과 배경에 따라 일상언어적으로 다양한 인식을 지니고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 성별, 경력, 연령대, 최종학력에 따른 관계 유형 인식 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 결론 생태⋅환경 교육의 실질적 운영 주체들이 가지고 있는 다양한 인식유형을 언어놀이 개념으로 탐구하여 생태교육과 환경교육간 가족유사성이 존재함을 확인하였으며 지속적인 다양성 확보와 외연 확장에 대한 필요성을 제언하였다. Objectives The purpose of this study is to explore how ecology-environment education instructors perceive the relationship between ‘ecological education’ and ‘environmental education’ based on Wittgenstein's concept of the language game and whether there are differences in relationship perception types depending on their background variables. Methods 57 ecology-environment education instructors participated in the study, and a questionnaire was organized to select a Van diagram that matches one's thoughts among the types of relationships between ecological education and environmental education and explain why. Results As for the types of perception, “ecological=environmental”, “ecological⊃environmental”, “ecological⊂environmental”, and “ecological∩environmental” appeared in the order of frequency. However, even with the same type of response, there were various reasons for choosing. Through this, it was confirmed that while recognizing a common area in values and content knowledge between ecological education and environmental education, it has various perceptions in everyday language according to individual experiences and backgrounds. There was no difference in perception of relationship types according to gender, career period, age group, and final academic level. Conclusions It was confirmed that there is a family resemblance between ecological education and environmental education by exploring various types recognized by ecology-environment education instructors as language game concepts. In addition, it suggested the need to continuously pursue diversity and expand education.

      • Prevalence and genetic characterization of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in hospitalized children in Korea.

        <P>Human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV) is the most common respiratory pathogen among infants and young children. To investigate the prevalence and genetic characteristics of HRSVs circulating in South Korea, we analyzed medical records of patients and performed molecular analysis of the G-protein gene of viruses detected from nasopharyngeal aspirates (NPA) of admitted patients at the Pediatrics Department of Chungbuk National University Hospital from April 2008 to April 2010. Epidemiological data revealed that the prevalence of HRSV infection was high during both winter seasons (October 2008 to February 2009 and November 2009 to February 2010). Of the 297 positive NPA specimens from infants or children tested, 67% were identified as HRSV-A while 33% were HRSV-B. The HRSV subgroup B was the most dominant in December 2008, but its dominance was dramatically replaced by HRSV subgroup A strains by February 2009. Phylogenetic analysis of the G protein sequences of HRSVs revealed novel genotypes within the HRSV-A (genotype CB-A) and B (genotypes BA11 and CB-B) subgroups in South Korea in addition to other strains identified in other countries. Molecular analysis also revealed genetic variability at the C-terminal end of the G proteins of the two HRSV subgroups, suggesting selection pressure in this region, which may potentially impact immune recognition. This is the first report of these HRSV variants in South Korea, indicating active genetic evolution of HRSV strains. Therefore, this study provides information on the molecular epidemiology of current HRSVs in the country and presents data for comparative analysis with other HRSV strains circulating worldwide.</P>
