      • 生育初基의 土壤水分과 追肥 및 摘芯時期가 黃色種담배의 生育 및 收量構成要素에 미치는 影響

        This study was conducted to investigate the effects of water stress(drought) at early growth stage, side dressing and topping stage on the growth pattern and yield components of flue-cured tobacco. The results are summarized as follows. 1.Drought at early growth stage retarded the rate of early growth, but the total amount of growth was recovered because of accelerated later growth. 2.Side dressing on the 30th day after transplanting(N : P2O5 : K2O = 1.5 : 1.5 : 3.0 g/plant) made the growth rate faster during maximum growth stage. Total growth amount showed little difference between side dressing and no side dressing, 3.In the plots of no side dressing, drought at early growth stage had little effects on the leaf area and dry leaf weight of Cutters. But in the plots of side dressing leaf area and dry leaf weight of Cutters were smaller in the plats of 15 day and 20 day drought than in the plots of 10 day drought and no drought. The longer the duration of draught was, the lesser the weight of unit leaf area was. 4.In the plats of no drought, leaf area of Leafs and Tips and dry weight of Leafs were unaffected by side dressing. But in the plots of drought at early growth stage, those were significantly affected by side dressing. The weight of unit leaf area of Tips and Green tips was lesser in the plots of 15 day and 20 day drought with side dressing than the other treatments. 5.Early topping made larger the leaf area of Leafs, Tips and Green Tips, and dry weight of Leafs and Tips than these of recommended stage of topping. Early topping in the plots of drought at early growth stage made little the weight of unit leaf area of Tips and Green Tips. 6.Though the dry leaf weight per a plant showed little differences among the treatments, yield components according to the leaf positions showed significant differences among the treatments.

        자가 Fibrin Glue와 연골세포를 이용한 연골조직 공학 기법에 관한 연구

        Neomorphogenesis of cartilage using chondrocyte-polymer constructs is a potential source for development of cartilage reconstruction. Current tissue engineering techniques of neocartilage rely on in vivo implantation of polymer-chondrocyte constructs. The purpose of this study was to find a way to bioengineer cartilage in vitro by entrapping chondrocytes in a molded autologous fibrin glue. Chondrocytes isolated from the cartilage of rabbit joints were combined with fibrinogen extracted by a single cryoprecipitation of autologous plasma, and they were then polymerized with thrombin to create a fibrin glue with a final cell density of 2.5x10?? cells/ml. The collagen for a control study was used as a polymer. The polymer-chondrocyte constructs were cultured for 4 weeks and the fibrin-chondrocyte constructs molded in the shape of a human ear were cultured for 6 weeks in vitro. Morphometric, histochemical, and histomorphometric analysis including glycosaminoglycan quantitation confirmed the following results: 1) Highly-concentrated autologous fibrinogen was easily extracted by a single cryoprecipition of autologous olasma. 2) The fibrin-chondrocyte constructs demonstrated the presence of actively proliferating chondrocytes with the production of cartilaginous matrix(collagen and glycosaminoglycan) at 1 week after culture, as well as gross and histologic evidence similar to those of normal cartilage at 3∼4 weeks after culture. 3) The collagen-chondrocyte constructs demonstrated lower degrees of hardness and transparency, as well as a lower density of cells and glycosaminoglycan during the culture period. 4) Neocartilage generated from fibrin-chondrocyte constructs in the shape of a human ear nearly retained their original configuration and size without degeneration for 6 weeks of culture in vitro. This study demonstrated a novel method for bioengineering the molded cartilage in vitro using autologous fibrin glue as a matrix scaffold. The generated cartilage showed gross and histologic evidence similar to those of normal cartilage, retaining the original gross dimension. With further refinement, this may be a new application of tissue engineering for the reconstruction of cartilage.

        정신과 환자들의 의료서비스 이용에 관한 연구 : 경기도 연천 지역에서 In Yonchon Area of Kyunggi Province

        본 연구는 농촌지역 정신과 환자들의 의료서비스 이용 형태를 알아보고자 하여 행하여졌다. 경기도 연천군 주민중 1993년 1년간 지역 의료보험과 의료보호자료에서 정신과적 진단을 받은 사람들 1295명 중 209명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구자들이 제작한 반구조화된 면담도구를 사용하여 13명의 훈련된 면담자에 의해 증상을 처음 느낀 후 이용한 의료서비스를 차례대로 조사하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 정신증적 장애 환자들은 정신과 치료만을 받은 경우가 28.8%이며 처음 방문한 의료서비스는 정신과 45%, 일반의 28%, 약국 6%, 한방치료 5%, 요양원 6%, 기타 10%였다. 비정신증적 장애 환자들은 정신과를 한번이라도 이용한 경우는 32.1%였고 처음 방문한 의료서비스는 정신과 15%, 일반의59%,약국 17%, 한방치료8%, 기타1%였다. 진단에 따라서는, 정신분열병의 경우 64.5%가 처음에 정신과를 방문하였고 정동형 정신병의 경우는 20.8%에 불과했고 64.1%가 일반이나 약국을 처음에 방문하였다. 신경증적 장애(ICD-9 300)는 40.0%가 일반의만을 방문했다. 이상의 결과로 정신분열병 환자들은 대다수가 정신과 치료를 받는 것으로 나타났으나 정동형 정신병과 신경증적 장애는 다수가 일반의를 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 지역사회 정신보건에서 일반의의 역할이 매우 중요하며 일반의에 대한 정신과 교육이 절실하고, 보다 전문적인 치료환경과 기술을 요하는 경우에는 정신과와의 연계 체계의 필요성도 요구된다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the pathways of health care seeking by the psychiatric patients at a well - defined rural area in Korea. Among 1,295 patients diagnosed to have mental disorders by ICD-9 in a year, all the psychotic patients(184 in number) and randomly selected 15% of nonpsychotic patients(162 in number) were selected as subjects of this study. Thirteen well - trained interviewers collected the data using semi-structurd inter-view instrument developed by the authors. Two hundred nine patients(60.4%) fully responded to the interviews. As for psychotic patients, 28.8% used only psychiatric services, and the first visits for help were psychiatrists, general practitioners, pharmacists, asylums and oriental herb medicine in the order of decreasing frequency. Only 32.1% of nonpsychotic patients used mental health specialties during the course of their illness, and their most common first visits for care were general practitioners(59%) followed by pharmacists(17%) and psychiatrists(15%). Majority(64%) of schizophrenic patient visited psychiatrist first, while 64.1% of affective psychosis patients visited general practitioners and pharmacists first. The forty percent of neurotic patients(ICD-9 300) visited general practitioners only for their health care.

        배양 표피세포 이식의 생착에 관한 연구

        We cultured the keratinocytes from different donors for 3 weeks and the cultured keratinocyte sheets were applied to the 15 cases of patients who had hypertrophic scars on their extremities. (auto-??allografting) And the applied keratinocyte sheets were studied for the adaptation, growth ?? differentiation with light and electron-microscopy. The results were as follows; 1. Grafted epidermal cells started differentiation from second week post-grafting and showed a similar appearance to the normal epidermis at fourth week post-grafing. 2. Keratohyalind granules were seen from fourth week post-grafting and showed a normal appearance at fifth month post-grafting. 3. Immature desmosome-tonofilament complexes were seen at cultured epidermal sheet and showed a normal appearance at fifth month post-grafting. 4. Rete ridges showed its appearance at fourth week post-grafting and showed a normal appearance at fifth month post-grafting. 5. Fine structures of epidermo-graft bed junction showed a discontinuous appearance at second week post-grafting and showed a normal continuous appearance at fifth month post-grafting. In summary, the 'take' of grafted epidermal sheets begins at fourth week post-grafting and completed at fifth month post-grafting.

        표피 성장인자(Epidermal Growth Factor)가 창상 치유에 미치는 효과에 대한 실험적 연구

        Wound healing of the skin and soft tissue defect is accomplished by contraction, re-epithelization, collage synthesis, and generation of granulation tissue. In the full-thickness skin wound, contraction plays an important role and in the split-thickness skin wound, re-epithelization plays an important role. This study was conducted to clarify the effect of epidermal growth factor(EGF) in wound healing. We used the 30 Wistar rats which were divided into 2 groups, full-thickness wound group and split-thickness wound group. In the split-thickness wound group, 30 wounds were created in depth of 0.02mm by using the Padgett dermatome which were divided into 2 subgroups experimental and control. In the full-thickness wound group, 30 wounds were created by excision of full-thickness skin and panniculus carnosus which were divided into 2 subgroups experimental and control. In the experimental groups, the wounds were treated with EGF cream(10㎍/dl) and compared with control groups which were treated with Silvadene cream. The results were analyzed and summarized as follows; 1. EGF had a significant effect on re-epithelization of split-thickness wounds. 2. EGF had an effect on contraction of the full-thickness skin wounds. 3. Histologically, in the experimental subgroup, re-epithelized epithelium was thicker and keratinocytes were more increased, the collagen fibers were organized in a linear manner and connective tissue was matured faster than those of the control. In conclusion, ⅰ) EGF has a significant effect on the re-epithelization and contraction, and the wounds treated with EGF showed faster and better healing and ⅱ) the healed wounds treated with EGF were more colsely resembled the surrounding normal tissue.

        확장된 안면경부 피판을 이용한 협부 재건

        Together, the cheek and neck can be considered as a single anatomic location because skin vascularity, texture and thickness are similar. The cervicofacial flap has been described as the treatment of choice for the cheek defect because of its good mobility and excellent cosmetic result. However, if the defects on the cheek are wider than the length of palpebral fissure or extended to the lower two thirds of the cheek, the conventional cervicofacial flaps would be inadequate in size without the benefit of expansion. Tissue expansion of the cheek and neck is distinguished by a particularly high rate of complication. Prevention of various complications require careful planning and certain modifications in technique. We have used the following modifications and measures to prevent the complications and to maximize the expansion. 1) Whenever possible, expanders were placed over the rigid foundation such as mandible or posterior neck area after wide undermining. 2) Expanders were placed deep to platysma in the neck area. 3)Following optimal expansion, the further dissection extending to the clavicle and the posterior neck area was performed for optimal mobilization and draping of the expanded skin. 4) The expanded skin was advanced upward on the cervical portion and rotated forward on the cheek portion. 5) The flap should not be draped above the inferior orbital rim and postoperatively the pressure garments were applied to prevent drooping of the expanded skin. We experienced 21 cases of the expanded cervicofacial flaps with above surgical modifications and the expanded cervicofacial flaps can resurface the 95% of cheek defects with munimal complications and excellent cosmetic results.

        감압 효소 침투에 의한 표피의 광범위 분리

        Previously, a new method of negative-pressure-assisted DISPASE splitting into various thicknesses and sizes of surgically obtained human or animal skins into the epidermal and dermal layers was invented. Good penetration of the enzyme into the skin tissue was obtained by applying negative pressure in a liposuction apparatus and then rapidly aerating the skin tissue to the room air pressure when the pressure pushed the enzyme solution deep into dermal tissue. The procedure was repeated every 3 minutes under 750mmHg negative pressure assisted dispase(100IU/ml). The earist time for separation of the viable epidermal sheet was measured. Negative pressure(-750mmHg), numbers of repeat(7times), incubation time(37℃,25mins)were the factors for the earlist separation of the epidermal sheet. We suggested that this was a good method for the treatment of tattoos and nevus. Advantages were that the donor site morbidity was less and the time required for healing of the wound was markedly shortened.

      • 음성인식을 이용한 컴퓨터 게임의 구현에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we present a speech recognition game, "Voice Illust Magic". "Voice Illust Magic" is on-line windows game using speech recognition algorithm HMM. Because this game can be performed by not only the mouse and keyboard but also speech recognition, the users can use the computer easily. The speech recognition process of computer games detects the endpoint of input speech automatically which is received through the microphone and then extracts the feature parameter, Mel cepstrum. The VQ sequences of input speech are compared with the reference models of word unit and the optimal model is selected among reference HMMs. The puzzle games transfer the message of the recognized game command which performs the same operation as the keyboard and mouse into the windows interface. Since input speech is not compared with all reference patterns but the reference patterns of each state, this method can reduce the recognition time and can improve the recognition rate.

        Candidate Tumor-Suppressor Gene Regions Responsible for Radiation Lymphomagenesis in F1 Mice with Different p53 Status

        Regions of allelic loss on chromosomes in many tumors of human and some experimental animals are generally considered to harbor tumor-suppressor genes involved in tumorigenesis. Allelotype analyses have greatly improved our under-standing of the molecular mechanism of radiation lymphomagenesis. Previously, we and others found frequent loss of heterozygosity (LOH) on chromosomes 4, 11, 12, 16 and 19 in radiation-induced lymphomas from several $F_1$, hybrid mice. To examine possible contributions of individual tumor-suppressor genes to tumorigenesis in p53 heterozygous deficiency, we investigated the genome-wide distribution and status of LOH in radiation-induced lymphomas from $F_1$ mice with different p53 status. In this study, we found frequent LOH (more than 20%) on chromosomes 4 and 12 and on chromosomes 11, 12, 16 and 19 in radiation-induced lymphomas from $(STS/A{\times}MSM/Ms)F_1$ mice and $(STS/A{\times}MSM/Ms)F_1-p53^{KO/+}$ mice, respectively. Low incidences of LOH (10-20%) were also observed on chromosomes 11 in mice with wild-type p53, and chromosomes 1, 2, 9, 17 and X in p53 heterozygous-deficient mice. The frequency of LOH on chromosomes 9 and 11 increased in the $(STS/A{\times}MSM/Ms)F_1-p53^{KO/+}$ mice. Preferential losses of the STS-derived allele on chromosome 9 and wild-type p53 allele on chromosome 11 were also found in the p53 heterozygous-deficient mice. Thus, the putative tumor-suppressor gene regions responsible for lymphomagenesis might considerably differ due to the p53 status.
